Mine and Mine Forever~

Summary:

'Don't judge a book by its cover' is a well-known expression in society, and with a damn good reason. Yuri's a perfect example of that; I thought the psychopath was a sweet, if not shy, girl, but I was wrong, dead wrong. That...that girl was NOT sweet; she was sick and twisted in the damn head. Yuri took me from my home and tied me up in her room to do unspeakable things. Why me...?

Notes:

Hey, hey, hey! This is a Doki Doki Literature Club story, but you already knew that. This is going to be a really dark and nightmarish story—something I rarely do, but I like Yuri, especially the yandere aspect of her (I need help). Sit back and enjoy.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

[MINE AND MINE FOREVER~]

"Ugh..." I groan lowly, feeling weak and fatigued.

My eyes slowly open, and the first thing I see is a room, but not just any room, Yuri's room. I can tell the room is Yuri's because of the photos she has of herself and a few personal belongings. Naturally, I'm concerned, but what really concerns me is the fact that I'm bound to a goddamn chair.

What the hell's going on?

"Yuri!" I call out to Yuri, hoping she's around. "Yuri, where are you?!"

"Downstairs, love!" Yuri shouts from the first floor. I've been to Yuri's home, so there are two floors and her room's on the second floor. "Coming~!"

Right off the bat, I notice Yuri's chipper tone. Either she just got home or she's the one who tied me up, and I really hope it's the former. Yuri being the one who tied me up sounds insane. The bookworm's sweet; sure, she's shy and introverted, but still sweet. I doubt she's the freak who kidnap-

"I'm here, honey~" Yuri's briefly in the hallway before she walks to me and gives me a hug while sandwiching my face between her sweater puppies.

Oh my god, Yuri's the kidnapper...

"You sound tense." Why wouldn't I be tense? I was fucking kidnapped and currently tied to a chair! "I think you need some TLC from your girlfriend."

Girlfriend?

What the hell's going on with Yuri? First, she abducts me, and now she’s acting like we’re in a loving relationship? Nothing's making sense!

"MMMPH!" I try to speak, but it's difficult since Yuri's pressing her boobs against my face.

Yuri giggles as she steps back, finally enabling me to speak. "Yuri, what the hell is wrong with you?" I question. "You kidnapped me, and now your-"

"Sweetheart," Yuri interrupts me, pressing a finger to my lips. "One at a time." Without warning, Yuri moves in closely, her lips almost brushing against my ear. "It's rude to raise your voice at your lover; I suggest you refrain from directing your anger at me unless you want to be punished."

I grit my teeth as I consider my next choice of words, especially since I notice a variety of knives on Yuri's desk. What kind of freaky shit is this girl into? Knives? Jesus, she's a goddamn psychopath in the making, and the fact that she's kidnapped me against my will and threatened me for rightfully getting mad at her is nothing helping in the slightest. I have to leave Yuri's house; if that's not possible, then I need to reach out for help.

"Are you calm now?" Not in the slightest, but Yuri didn't need to know that. "Good; now go ahead and speak your mind."

I glare at Yuri, who's unfazed by my tranquil anger. "What happened to you?" I ask. "You were normal yesterday, but now you're...whatever this is."

"A change was needed." A change? What the hell did that mean? "Yesterday me was a sniveling coward, a weak-willed wimp who was a shrinking violet and would've never achieved dreams had she not stepped forward and staked her claim. I'm done being afraid, I'm through being demure."

Still, I'm confused. "Okay, you wanted to stop being timid, but where the hell do I fit into this?"

"I love you!" Yuri dramatically declares, like some chick in those romantic movies my mom watches. "I love everything about you! I love the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I love the way that you dress! Everything about you is amazing. I've always wanted to tell you how I really feel, and now I can, and this has to be the best day of my life!" Suddenly, Yuri glomps me again, a crazed, yandere-like expression on her once angelic face.

Once again, I couldn't say a damn thing because Yuri had her funbags in my face, babbling nonsense, notably about loving me and practically worshipping the ground I walk on. Among all the crazy folks in the world I live in, I never expected Yuri of all people to be one of them—far from it.

"T-Terribly sorry, darling," Yuri apologizes sheepishly, completely ignoring the fact she went bonkers not long ago. "I lost control of myself."

I glare at Yuri. "You think?" my voice's laced with frustration. Hell, I'm frustrated with everything; my body feels weak, and I'm at the mercy of a sociopath I once considered my one and only friend. I'm not sure what type of god would allow such cruelty, but they, along with Yuri, need help.

"The weekend's coming up, and there's so much I have planned," Yuri smiles sweetly. "I'm thinking we could go to the mall and then see a movie."

"Yuri..." I began, my voice low. "You kidnapped me; why in the fuck of all fucks would I do anything with your ass...?"

Yuri frowns and leans down, her face a few inches from mine. "Because I love you with all my heart, and when I care deeply for someone, I want to be with them." Yuri's voice is ominously calm and I don't like it. "See, I'm a very loving person; if you're nice to me, I'm the best person you could ask for, but if you're not..." Yuri suddenly cups my cheek. I try to wiggle out of her grasp, but her grip is firm. "Don't. Move." Yuri's 'soft and gentle' attitude fucks right off, giving way to a dark and menacing one. "You know, darling, I'm trying to be nice, but you're making it very difficult for me."

"You fucking kidnapped me!" I exclaim. "Who in their right mind would-MMMPH!?!"

Yuri silences me as she places a finger over my lips, muffling my words.

"Sweetie, your girlfriend's talking, and she doesn't want or appreciate being rudely interrupted." This hypocritical, purple-haired bitch. "As I was saying, I'm trying to be nice, but you're making it very difficult for me. If you're nice to me, then I'm nice to you, but if you're rude to me, then I'll be your worst nightmare, and I'm someone whose bad side you don't want to see. Many have pushed my limits before, and they've paid the price."

Yuri has a dark smile on her face, one that makes my skin crawl. "Yuri..." I begin. "Did you...did you kill them?"

"What I've done to those that have irritated me one too many times isn't important," Yuri replies. "Just know that they aren't a problem, anymore."

I gulp in reaction. "You murdered them," I say lowly. "You murdered them, didn't you?"

"I recall saying they weren't important," Yuri's voice is ominous, devoid of emotion. The fate of those who messed with her remains unknown, but I suspect she either killed or severely harmed them; whatever the truth may be, I have no doubt it’s grim. "Having shared my actions with you, I feel it's necessary to keep you with me at all times, though I intended to do that anyway, regardless of our last conversation. I'm so happy we're dating."

Yep, this bitch is more deluded than Vegeta when he thought he was a Super Saiyan on Namek...

Yuri took her finger away from my mouth. "Is there anything you want to say, dar-"

"You're a goddamn maniac," I say, nearly shouting. Is it stupid to insult the one who holds my destiny? Yes, it is. But she asked if I had an opinion on the topic, so I'll express mine. Yuri frowns, not liking how I called her insane, even though she kidnapped me and potentially killed people. "You express your undying love for me and desperately want us to be together, but how can that be possible considering everything that you've done? Seriously, how did you manage to kidnap me, not to mention find out where I lived? I didn't even see or hear you approaching, so what did you do?"

"I drugged you with sleeping pills," Yuri says casually, seeing nothing wrong with what she said. "I collected knowledge of your life for several days, learning your address, your route to school, your favorite spots, and even the homes of your friends and family. I know everything about you, hon."

Instantly, I feel my heart sink. It's alarming to find out that you were drugged and kidnapped, and even more alarming to hear that your kidnapper knows the location of your home and the locations of your loved ones. It's at this point that I realize how insane Yuri is; she's crazy for me, and God knows what she'll do to keep me in her life. If I don't comply, she could very well go after my friends and family and make me see things her way...

"You can only do this for so long, Yuri," I say. "Eventually, someone will realize I'm gone and you'll have a problem on your hands."

Yuri giggles as she sits on my lap, arms wrapped around my neck. "If people start asking questions, then I'll either move us to a different place...or murder them." Yuri has a nightmarish smile on her face. "I love you with all my heart, and if I have to do distasteful things to keep you, then I will..."

"That's a bold statement, Yuri," I say. "You may be intelligent, one of the smartest students in the class, if not the school, but it's impossible to predict whether or not what you say will come true." Yuri glares at me, not liking what I said. "I mean, someone smart could find me, whether it'd be the police, a detective, or Monika. That girl's creepy, but her intelligence is nothing to underestimate, I might even say she's smarter than you."

"Smarter than me...?" Yuri begins to chuckle. "Smarter than me?" Yuri's chuckling turns into full-blown, maniacal laughter. "SMARTER THAN ME?! THAT BITCH WITH HER HIGH AND MIGHTY ATTITUDE IS NOTHING COMPARED TO ME! I'M THE SMARTER ONE BETWEEN US! ME, AND NOBODY ELSE!"

Yuri continues to laugh like the psychopath she is until she eventually calms down.

"Sorry, sorry," Yuri apologizes. "I lost my cool for a second."

"Understatement of the fucking year..." I mutter under my breath. "Why did I have to attract the crazy bitch...?"

Yuri shakes her head, fully composing herself. "But like I said, Monika has nothing over me," she says. "She's smart, yes, but not as smart as me."

"You keep telling yourself that..." I counter. "I think you know the truth of my words, but you refuse to acknowledge it. You and Monika are the smartest girls in school, but Monika outperforms you, and I bet you can't stand it. The fact that Monika is far smarter than you must gnaw at yo-"

SLAP

Yuri slaps me in the face, leaving a print and even knocking me to the floor. It hurt like hell, but I got her riled up, so it's worth it.

"Shut the fuck up about Monika! Shut the fuck up about Monika!" Yuri exclaims. "Say one more thing about that bimbo, and I'll make you suffer!"

I laugh weakly. "Looks like I touched a nerve," I joke, despite my current predicament. "Making me suffer? And here I thought you loved me."

"Not when you're being a bad boy..." Yuri grabs my chair and stands it back up on its legs. "I'm not sorry for slapping you, but I am sorry for yelling at you the way I did. However, in my defense, you were asking for it. You should be aware that I'm a sensitive person and that it's pretty easy to irritate me. Bringing up Monika is one of those things. That slut wanders about our school acting like a pretty princess, but she's a filthy nobody..."

"But would you say all of that to her face?" I ask, half-tauntingly. "I don't think so."

Yuri cups my chin and leans in close. "Don't. Push. Me..." she says before letting go. "I'm through talking about Monika."

"Whatever you say, Yuri..." I say, looking the other way. "What's even the end goal in all this? What do you stand to gain from going psycho on me?"

Yuri pouts over being called psycho as if she didn't recently kidnap and slap me. "I doubt I would've made progress if I would've been shy and meek, so I had to get assertive," she replies. "I had to put my foot down and use unsavory methods to get what I wanted, but I'm used to that stuff."

"You've kidnapped people before?" I ask, shocked. "How many? How many people, Yuri?"

Yuri turns around, her back facing me. "I lost count..." she says. "Most of them were bullies."

"And what were the others? People you loved before me," I ask, angry and disgusted. "You're sick in the head, a fucking lunatic!"

"To answer your first question, they were disgusting people, murderers, pedophiles, and rapists who blindly left themselves exposed for someone like me to take. You're the only person I've ever kidnapped out of love." Don't I feel special... "Also, if you call me crazy again, I'll show you crazy..."

"Why? Because you know I'm right?" I ask. "You do all of this cause you love me, but it's one-sided as hell, and I'm sure you know it, but you don't care because I can't stop you with the way I am. You have control over me, and I know you love it. Just know you can only do this shit for so long..."

Yuri giggles. "Maybe it is one-sided, but you'll come around to loving me," she says with confidence. "It just takes time."

"I would never fall for someone like you," I declare. "Especially when they kidnap people like me without their consent. You're a creep in need of serious therapy because you're a lovesick psychopath; actually, scratch, you deserve to be placed in prison because I doubt that any advice from a therapist can convince you to see reason. Let me put this in a way you'll understand, though I doubt you'll grasp it. I don't love you, and I don't think I ever will. When I thought you were normal, I would've dated you if you had asked and we had known each other long enough, but not now."

Yuri gives me a blank stare. "Is that how you truly feel?" Yuri lowers her head. "I'm a delusional girl. I genuinely thought we could be together until the end of time, but I was wrong. I foolishly misled myself into believing that what we could've had was special. I'm an idiot, a big idiot...but you're an even bigger idiot for rejecting me." Yuri strolls to her desk and pulls out an army knife. "We're done, but I still can't let you leave or let you live."

"H-Hey, what are you doing with that knife?" I ask, fear in my voice. "Yuri, put the knife do-GAH!"

Before I can finish my sentence, Yuri stabs me in the fucking shoulder!

"FUCK!" I curse in pain. "YOU BITCH!"

If her indifferent facial expression is anything to go by, Yuri's apathetic to my suffering. "You did this to yourself," she said lowly. "NOW DIE, BITCH!"

Yuri aggressively grabs my neck and raises her knife. Naturally, I'm panicking, not wanting to die so early in my life.

"NO! NO! NOOO!" I scream, desperately trying to escape, but to no avail. "STOP, YURI! STOOOP!!!

Yuri laughs maniacally as she lowers her knife...

"SHIT!" I scream as I jump upright.

I shake my head, my breath ragged, and stand up to find myself on my school's rooftop. Fuck. I had a bad dream; for some unknown reason, I was dreaming about Yuri, but she was massively in love with me, kidnapping me and trying to make me hers. In short, she was an insane-ass Yandere.

Suddenly, I feel a tap on my shoulder.

"Motherfucker!" I jump in reaction and turn around to see Yuri. "Son of a bitch! Fucking hell, Yuri; you scared the shit out of my ass."

Yuri frowned. "Will you stop cursing?" she said. "I came to spend time with you, but I heard you cursing in the staircase. Is everything ok-"

"Do you have a crush on me?" I ask out of the blue. "A crush big enough for you to kidnap me?"

Yuri blushes in response to my question. "W-What kind of question is that?" she asks, covering her face with her novel. "What's wrong with you?"

"I..." I stop to pinch the bridge of my nose before continuing. "I had a nightmare about you." Yuri opens her mouth to say something, but I cut her off. "Look, I know it sounds ridiculous as all hell, but it's the truth. In my nightmare, you had a crush on me, but you were obsessive. You took me against my will and were saying all sorts of creepy things. You claimed to have kidnapped and tortured people, that you were smarter than Monika, and even tried to kill me before I woke up. You were scary, and seeing you now, I don't know what to feel. It's not your fault, I just...I-I don't know."

There's silence until Yuri breaks the silence. "I..." she starts. "I would never do those things, and it stays like that. Everything you said nightmare me did sounds scary. I would never kidnap you, I would never torture people, I would never say I'm smarter than Monika, and I would NEVER kill you..."

"For real?" I ask. It's a stupid question to ask, but I want confirmation. "You mean it? No bullshit at all?"

Yuri places a hand on my shoulder. "You're my friend," she says softly yet firmly. "A world where I cruelly kill you is a world I don't want to live in."

"Then I'm glad we're in this one." I hug Yuri. The bookworm is a bit surprised but wraps her arms around my waist. "Thank god it was just a dream."

Notes:

And here we are! So, what do you think? Did you like it? I hope you did! What was your favorite part/scene? Tell me in the comments. It's Halloween season, so why not have some fun? The story started scary but ended on a cheerful note, with everything being a dream. The story isn't placed in a video game, but the protagonist was mentioned, meaning that the reader and the protagonist of DDLC aren't the same. As for Yuri, I made her a Yandere, and it's my first time doing anything revolving around Yandere; if I did good or did bad, please let me know in the comments. In DDLC, she was a Yandere, but it was implied that Monika made her that way. My version is that she's a Yandere in the dream that the reader had. Speaking of the reader, their gender is ambiguous, so whether they're a boy or a girl is entirely up to you. So what do you think? Do you like it? Do you hate it? Do you have any questions for me about anything or anyone? Please tell me in the comments, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. With that, I bid you adieu and I'll see you later.
