Summary:

Set after "The Valentine's Date", it's Scott's birthday. Scott wants to do something off of his own list for his birthday.

Notes:

This is the third part of the "Hailey and Scott" series. This was written back in May 20, my birthday.

Enjoy.

Work Text:

It's been a while since the breakup. It took weeks, but Scott and Hailey had finally gotten over it...

Or so they thought.

Hailey sat in her room. She was skimming through her list. She came across one she'd been dreading for a long time.

Do an item on Scott's List.

Scott's list was filled with the most unrealistic things anyone could ever imagine. Many times, Scott asked if they could do one item on that list, but Hailey always held off.

Hailey checked her phone. The date was May 20. Scott's Birthday.

Scott had done a lot for Hailey, helping her with her list. She decided that this day would be the day she finally does something for Scott.

Hailey met up with Scott at the front of the school that day.

"Hey, Scott," she greeted. "Happy birthday."

"Thanks, you too," Scott replied. He then covered his mouth, having realized his mistake. "Sorry, sorry."

"It's okay. I would've done the same. Anyway, you know how you've always asked to do something on your list for once? Well, as my gift to you, I'll let you choose an item from your list, and we'll do it together."

Scott smiled.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you," he said as he hugged Hailey. He then took his list out of his bag. He looked through it until he found the one he wanted. "Here it is."

Scott showed Hailey the list item.

Become supervillains for a day.

Hailey took a breath. She tried to keep her cool.

"Why did you write 'supervillain' instead of 'superhero'?" she asked.

"Because superheroes are so boring," Scott replied. "The villains are always more interesting."

"Well, how do you think we're gonna get the superpowers? It's not like they're gonna fall out of the sky."

"Greetings Earth creatures!" came a voice from above. The two teens looked up to see a UFO floating over them. "The two of you have been chosen to receive… POWERS UNIMAGINABLE!"

"Like the power to fly?" asked Scott.

"Okay, I guess some of them are imaginable, but most of them are…"

"What about super strength?"

"You know what, we'll just bestow them now before you guess all of them."

A green light emerged from the UFO. It engulfed the teens. Once the light faded, the UFO flew away.

"Use your powers wisely!" said the voice. "And use them for evil!"

"Wait, did you say evil?" asked Scott.

"Yes, specifically evil!"

"Awesome!"

In place of their usual clothes, supersuits appeared on Hailey and Scott out of complete nowhere.

Scott's was a green suit fit with a mask and cape. His shirt had a fist on it.

Hailey's was an identical red suit, the only difference being her shirt had a brain on it, in place of a fist.

Hailey was terrified. Out of all the things that have happened to her, she did not expect this.

"Come on, Hailey," Scott said with an evil smirk. "Let's have some fun." He took Hailey's hand and leapt into the air. "WOO-HOO!"

Hailey and Scott spent a good couple hours terrorizing the town.

Scott used super strength to wreck buildings, not caring who got hurt in the process.

Hailey used telekinesis to mess around with civilians. She did her best to make sure no one got hurt, though.

Scott was about to fire laser beams at Beta's Burgers. That's when the words, "SUPER-TWIN PUNCH!" appeared in front of Scott in bright purple letters. Scott didn't have time to process why these words just came out of nowhere, as someone punched him from behind.

"Hey, who did that?!" Scott yelled as he looked behind him.

Two figures were floating in front of Scott.

The first was a blonde girl who appeared to be eight years old. She was wearing a purple suit, mask, and cape. A big white G was on her shirt.

The second was a brunette boy who appeared to be around Scott's age. He was wearing an orange suit, a red mask, and a red cape. A big red K was on his shirt.

The girl was about to punch Scott again, but he was prepared this time. He blocked the attack with his bare hand.

The boy was about to attack Scott. Hailey noticed this and used her telekinesis to hold the guy in place. This allowed Scott to punch the guy and send him flying miles away.

"Kevin!" the blonde girl shouted.

The girl flew over to her companion, who Scott now knew as Kevin.

Scott flew after the girl. He grabbed her cape and threw her to the side.

Kevin wrapped his arms around Scott's chest.

"No one does that to my sister!" he snapped.

Scott grabbed Kevin and threw him off of him.

Hailey used her telekinesis to hold Kevin and his sister in place.

"Let us go!" the blonde demanded.

"Why are you doing this?" asked Kevin.

"It's been our fantasy for years," Scott replied.

Hailey covered her friend's mouth. She loved him, but she had her limits when it came to him and his foolishness.

"It's been your fantasy for years," she corrected before turning to the superheroes. "These aliens came to us out of nowhere, gave us these powers, and told us to use these powers for evil."

The blonde gasped.

"Did the alien happen to have an…" she said, before imitating the alien's voice. "Annoying voice like this?"

"Yeah," Hailey replied.

Scott removed Hailey's hand.

"So that's what we did," he finished. "And it was great."

"Look around you, dude!" Kevin yelled.

Scott looked around himself. The city was destroyed, citizens were terrified, and he was the center of it all. He realized he made a grave mistake.

"What am I doing?" he asked himself.

Hailey put a hand on her friend's shoulder.

"It's not too late," she assured. "We can fix this."

It took a while, but with the help of Kevin and his sister, who was named Gretel, Hailey and Scott managed to clean up the damages.

Afterwards, the four flew to the school.

"Hailey, I'm sorry I got us into this stupid mess," Scott apologized.

"It's okay," Hailey assured.

The two friends hugged each other. As Hailey walked inside the school, Scott couldn't help but stand there and blush. Kevin noticed this.

"She's really special, huh?" he remarked.

Scott blushed even more.

"She is special," he replied. "But not like that!"

Kevin nodded. He knew Scott had a crush on Hailey. He could tell because of his own experiences. Kevin decided not to push, though.

Scott waved goodbye before he ran after Hailey.

Notes:

his was definitely my favorite one-shot of the quadrilogy.

My initial plan was to have this be the one where Hailey and Scott get back together. I decided against it, because it'd make a great finale if that's when they got back together.

As we know, Scott does have his own list with very unrealistic things, all stuff mentioned in the theme song takeover. I decided to make "become a supervillain" one of those items. Usually, young kids would fantasize becoming superheroes, but very few fantasize becoming the villain. I decided to poke a little fun at the "superhero fantasy" trope by having Scott wish to be a villain.

Also, the aliens giving Hailey and Scott powers and telling them to use it for evil is something I think is in character.

One thing you might be wondering is why Kevin has powers and not Hamster. Well, this is somewhat canon to another fic of mine, Kevin and Gretel, an AU fic where Kevin gets powers in place of Hamster. Check it out if you haven't already.

You may have noticed that these past three parts were pretty short. Well, don't expect the same for the last one. No spoilers.

Thanks for reading.
