Work Text:

Susan finished packing the essentials. Now that Sidney was set to get his just desserts, there was only one more thing she needed to do. This would be the hardest part of her various plans to carry through on. J.J. had been the most important person in her life for the longest time after all, but after everything that had happened she was determined to move forward, grasp her happily ever after with both hands, and never look back.

She shut her bedroom door and nearly collided with J.J.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Susan took a moment to center herself. "I'm leaving. I'm going to Steve."

"No, you're not." J.J. grabbed her shoulder. "You can't leave me, Susie." She tried to shrug him off, but J.J. spun her around and tightly gripped her wrist, forcing her to drop her bag. "I won't allow it."

Susan cried out, more from the shock rather than any pain. J.J. had never gotten physical with her before. She tried to pull away from him, but he was too strong. "Let go, J.J. You can't keep me here." She tried pulling away again but was once more unsuccessful.

J.J. grasped her chin and forced her to look him in the eye. "I can, and I will." Susan closed her eyes and jerked her head back, but J.J. just pulled her into a hug. "Don't you understand?" he whispered into her hair. "It's you and me. We're all that matter, and I'm not going to let you toss us away like a piece of trash."

Susan shook her head as tears trailed down her cheeks. "J.J., please, if you really care about me you'll let me go."

J.J. sighed before he released her from his embrace and determinedly walked her backwards until her back hit the door to his room. "You don't understand." He cupped her face. "We belong together." He gently wiped the tears from her face. "And I'll prove it to you."

Susan felt J.J.'s warm breath against her face, and then his lips brushed against hers. Susan gasped in surprise. J.J. took full advantage of the opening as his tongue delved in and massaged hers, turning from gentle to demanding. Susan's eyes snapped open at the onslaught. She pushed against his chest to no avail. J.J. was as immovable as a brick wall.

J.J. deepened the kiss as Susan struggled against him. Susan's thoughts were a whirlwind. What was happening? Why was J.J. doing this? This was wrong. She had to stop him. But the longer that J.J. kissed her and the more forceful he became, the further the thoughts of stopping him fled until they disappeared entirely.

A smirk alighted on J.J.'s lips and smug satisfaction lit up his eyes when Susan let out light whimpers as she returned his kisses, and her attempts at shoving him away turned into her hands caressing his chest. He always knew that the connection the two of them shared was special beyond measure. It took almost losing his angel to realize the full implications of what their bond meant. J.J. picked Susan up bridal style and carried her into their new future.
