Summary
Midoriya Izuku is the last person to gain the privilege of dictating his life. The first person, as far back as he's willing to remember, was Chisaki Kai---a villain with a passion for quirk experimentation and society-altering revolutions.
Izuku, age seventeen, is sent out on a haphazard mission to retrieve a hard drive from the Hero Public Safety Commission HQ amidst a riot. While there, he runs into a group of UA students. For a brief period of time, they work together to flee from the building unscathed. The impression he makes on one in particular---Bakugou Katsuki---ignites a chain of events that compound upon one another until he, and his story, reach a breaking point.
But it's clear that no matter where Izuku ends up, his life's choices are loathe to let him go easily.
