Work Text:

Once upon a time, in a kingdom shrouded in darkness and fear, there lived a young man named Dean Winchester.

Dean was as kind as he was beautiful, with eyes as green as the forest after a rain and hair that shimmered like spun gold. His stepmother, Queen Abaddon, was a vain and cruel woman, obsessed with her own beauty and power. She ruled the kingdom with an iron fist, her magic mirror her only companion, feeding her insatiable desire to be the fairest in all the land.

But as the years passed, Abaddon’s beauty began to wane, while Dean’s only grew. The queen’s jealousy festered, and when her magic mirror finally declared that Dean had surpassed her in beauty, her fury knew no bounds.

“Bring me the huntsman!” Abaddon commanded, her voice cold as ice.

Benny, the royal huntsman, was a man of few words, but his loyalty to the queen was well-known. Still, even he was taken aback when Abaddon ordered him to take Dean into the forest and kill him, bringing back his heart as proof of the deed.

But Benny was no murderer. He had known Dean since he was a child and had seen the boy grow into a man with a heart as pure as gold. The thought of ending Dean’s life filled him with dread, and as he led Dean into the dark, twisted forest, his resolve faltered.

When they reached the heart of the forest, Benny stopped, his hands trembling as he drew his knife. Dean, unaware of the true reason for their journey, looked at Benny with innocent trust, his eyes wide and full of hope.

“Benny?” Dean asked softly, his voice tinged with concern. “What’s wrong?”

Benny’s grip on the knife tightened, his heart pounding in his chest. He couldn’t do it. He couldn’t harm Dean, not when the young man had done nothing but show kindness and compassion to everyone he met.

With a deep, shaky breath, Benny sheathed his knife and looked at Dean with sorrowful eyes. “Run, Dean,” he whispered urgently. “Run and don’t look back.”

Dean’s brow furrowed in confusion. “What are you talking about?”

“There’s no time to explain,” Benny said, his voice thick with emotion. “Just go. The queen… she wants you dead. If you stay, she’ll find you. You need to run as far away as you can.”

Dean’s heart froze at Benny’s words, his mind reeling with shock and fear. But he knew Benny wouldn’t lie to him, wouldn’t tell him to run unless it was truly necessary. Without another word, Dean turned and fled, his heart pounding as he ran deeper into the forest, away from the life he had known.

Benny watched him go, his heart heavy with guilt and fear for the young man he had spared. He knew the queen would not forgive this betrayal, but he didn’t care. Dean’s life was worth more than his own, and he could only hope that Dean would find safety in the depths of the forest.

Dean ran until his legs could carry him no further, until the trees blurred into darkness and the cold night air bit at his skin. Exhausted and terrified, he stumbled upon a small clearing where a quaint cottage stood nestled among the trees. The windows glowed with a warm, inviting light, and Dean, too desperate and weary to think clearly, made his way to the door.

He knocked hesitantly, his heart racing as he waited for an answer. To his surprise, the door creaked open almost immediately, revealing a man with sharp features and a mischievous grin. He had a look of suspicion in his eyes, but before he could speak, Dean’s legs gave out, and he collapsed into his arms.

“Whoa, easy there, baby boy,” Gabriel, the dwarf, muttered as he caught Dean, his voice gruff but not unkind. “What’s a pretty boy like you doing out here?”

Dean’s vision blurred, his strength waning. “Please… help me,” he whispered, his voice barely audible. “The queen… she wants me dead…”

Gabriel’s expression softened, and he gently eased Dean into the cottage. “Bobby! Get in here!” he called out, his voice carrying through the small home.

Bobby, the eldest of the dwarfs and the one with the most medical knowledge, hurried over. “What in tarnation is going on, Gabriel?” Bobby grumbled, but his voice softened when he saw Dean’s pale face. “Good grief, what happened to him?”

“The queen, my stepmother” Dean murmured, his voice weak. “She… she sent someone to kill me. But he… he let me go.”

Bobby’s eyes narrowed. “Abaddon,” he growled under his breath. “That wicked woman.”

One by one, the other dwarfs gathered around, each of them reacting with varying degrees of concern and protectiveness. Charlie, the perpetually cheerful dwarf, immediately began fussing over Dean, while Sam, the sleepy dwarf, yawned and mumbled something about needing more rest. Jo, the shy dwarf, hung back, her eyes wide with worry, while Kevin, the curious dwarf, bombarded Dean with questions about what had happened. Garth, the clumsy but good-hearted dwarf, nearly tripped over his own feet in his rush to help.

“Alright, everyone, back off,” Bobby ordered, his voice firm but gentle as he knelt beside Dean. “Give the boy some space. He’s been through enough.”

The dwarfs reluctantly moved back, though they kept a close eye on Dean, their concern palpable. Bobby carefully examined Dean, checking for injuries and listening to his weak, shaky breaths. “You’re safe now, kid,” Bobby said reassuringly. “We won’t let anything happen to you.”

Dean felt a wave of relief wash over him at Bobby’s words, but he couldn’t shake the fear that gripped his heart. “She won’t stop,” Dean whispered, his voice trembling. “She’ll come for me.”

“Not if we have anything to say about it,” Gabriel said firmly, his tone uncharacteristically serious. “We’ll keep you safe, kiddo. You can count on that.”

The other dwarfs nodded in agreement, their faces set with determination. They may have been small, but they were fiercely protective of their home—and now, of Dean.

“Thank you, thank all of you." Dean whispered, his eyes filling with tears. He had been so scared, so alone, but now, for the first time in a long time, he felt a glimmer of hope.

“You need to rest, kid" Bobby said gently, helping Dean to a small bed in the corner of the cottage. “We’ll keep watch, make sure nothing happens.”

Dean nodded, his exhaustion overwhelming him as he lay down, his eyes fluttering shut. “I'm so glad I found you,” he murmured one last time before sleep claimed him.

While Dean was sleeping miles away in a neighboring kingdom, a handsome prince named Castiel was preparing for the trip. Castiel was known throughout the country for his courage, kindness and fierce sense of justice. He had heard rumors about the evil queen Abaddon and her cruelty, but it was Prince Dean, a young man of extraordinary beauty and kindness, who attracted his attention, fleeing to the forest to escape her wrath. Also Castiel knew Dean before.

Their story went back five years. Dean was just a 14-year-old young boy at the time.

Castiel had seen Dean at a ball organized by his father, King Chuck, and instantly fell in love with him. Later that night, Dean and Castiel had danced and found peace in each other's arms. Seeing that their son was happy, King John and Queen Mary thought that Castiel would be the right person for their son when the time came. That is why the King John and Queen Mary had frequent balls, ceremonies and invitations.

Dean and Cas were spending time with each other at every prom, at every invitation, and getting closer and closer. During an invitation, Castiel and Dean had sneaked out of the palace and shared their first kiss and sensual touches by a lake.

They were perfect for each other -until they weren't- a few weeks after this incident, Queen Mary was secretly killed by the witch Abaddon. Dean's world was turned upside down overnight. Before he could overcome the sadness of losing his mother, his father went crazy and locked him in his room to protect him and made his life a dungeon for him. Dean wanted to be able to see Castiel again for once while he was living a prison life, to hear his beautiful words of love from him again.

But the bad things that happened didn't stop with that. King John married Abaddon a few weeks after his wife's death. Dean was deeply saddened that his father did not respect his mother's memory. Besides, his stepmother Abaddon would treat him badly and scold him anyway. When Dean wanted to see Castiel, his father and Abaddon would scold him and banish him to his room. Just when Dean thought his life couldn't get any worse, his father, King John, also died. Abaddon had also killed John, but no one knew about it.

Abaddon used to scold and belittle Dean when he ruled alone in the kingdom for years. Dean used to cry at night for his mom, dad, himself and Castiel. He was so desperate for someone to save him.

Until this salvation came with a lot of problems. When Benny took Dean into the woods and told him to run away, Dean didn't know where to go, what to do. But Dean was hoping that he could find Castiel and maybe Castiel could save him.

During this time, Castiel wanted to do nothing but see Dean every time and make him feel valued. But first, with Queen Mary and then King John dead, Dean was living a cage life in Queen Abaddon's palace. As soon as Castiel found out about this, he wanted to go to the kingdom and save Dean -the love of his life. But his father and mother - King Chuck and Queen Naomi- stopped him. They said that Abaddon was a powerful witch and could harm him. Castiel didn't care about that, he just wanted to save the one he loved. But he did not want to put his loved ones in danger with him. So while there was nothing he could do, he was in the royal room praying that the man he loved -Dean- would be okay.

This wait is over with the news that Dean has escaped from Abaddon and hidden in a forest. With his sword by his side and his heart full of determination, Castiel began his quest, determined to find the man he fell in love with.

The journey through the dark forest was dangerous, but Castiel continued his journey with the fire of Dean's love inside him. The closer he got to the heart of the forest, the more sure he became that he should find the kind and charming prince he had fallen in love with, protecting him from the dangers that awaited him.

Back at the cottage, the seven dwarfs were busy with their daily routines, but their thoughts were never far from Dean, who was still resting after his harrowing escape. Bobby kept a close eye on him, checking his temperature and making sure he had enough food and water. The others took turns watching the forest for any sign of danger, their usual lighthearted banter replaced by a quiet determination to keep Dean safe.

Dean, for his part, was beginning to feel more like himself, though the fear of Abaddon still lingered in the back of his mind. He was grateful for the dwarfs’ kindness and protection, but he couldn’t help but worry that he was putting them in danger by staying with them.

One afternoon, as Dean sat outside the cottage, enjoying the warmth of the sun, Charlie plopped down beside him with a wide grin. “Feeling better, sunshine?” she asked, her tone as bright as her smile.

Dean nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah, thanks to all of you. I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t taken me in.”

Charlie’s grin widened. “Well, it’s nice to have some fresh company around here. It gets a little boring with just these guys all the time.”

Dean chuckled softly, feeling a warmth in his chest at Charlie’s cheerful demeanor. “You’re all so kind. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone like you before.”

After a while, Dean timidly asked Charlie. “Can I confess something to you, Charlie?”

When Charlie saw that Dean was a little bit scared, she smiled at Dean in a protective manner and shook Dean's hand. “Of course, sunshine. Your secret is safe with me.”

“I love Prince Castiel. He loves me too. But after what happened to my mom and dad, we had to stay apart from each other. If I get out of this Abaddon danger, I want to find Cas and I want to hold on to him tightly." Dean smiled softly with a light of hope in his eyes.

“That's so sweet, sunshine. I'm so happy for you. And also if you love him, he must definitely be dreamy.” Charlie gave a little laugh.

“Yes, he certainly is, Charlie. He is a very kind, charming, protective and brave prince. I miss him so much, Charlie. I want to be in his arms again." Dean felt the tears falling with the longing in his eyes.

“Oh, my sunshine, don't cry. I'm sure that after we defeat this red witch, you and the prince charming will reunite and live happily ever after.” Charlie smiled hopefully and hugged Dean tightly.

“Thank you, Charlie." Dean buried his head in Charlie's hair and smiled with tears in his eyes.

When they parted from each other, Charlie shrugged, his grin turned into a playful grin. "What can I say? We are one of a kind. You're part of the family now, sunshine."

The idea of having a family, of belonging somewhere, made Dean’s heart swell with emotion. For so long, he had felt alone, abandoned by the only family he had left. But here, with the dwarfs, he felt something he hadn’t felt in a long time—love, acceptance, and safety.

As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the forest, the dwarfs gathered around the fire, their usual banter subdued by the seriousness of the situation. They knew that Abaddon wouldn’t give up easily, and they were determined to be ready when she made her move.

“Do you think she’ll find us?” Dean asked quietly, his voice tinged with worry as he stared into the flames.

Bobby frowned, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. “She’s a powerful witch, Dean. But we’ve got something she doesn’t—each other. And we’re not going to let her take you.”

“Bobby’s right,” Gabriel added, his tone gruff but reassuring. “We’ve dealt with worse than that old hag. She’s not getting past us.”

Dean’s heart warmed at their words, but he couldn’t shake the nagging fear that something terrible was coming. “I just don’t want any of you to get hurt because of me,” he murmured, his gaze dropping to the ground.

Jo, who had been quiet until now, spoke up, her voice soft but resolute. “We’re all in this together, Dean. We chose to help you, and we’re not backing down.”

The other dwarfs nodded in agreement, their faces set with determination. Dean looked around at the group, his heart swelling with gratitude and love for these strange, wonderful people who had taken him in without hesitation.

“Thank you,” Dean whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “You’ve all done so much for me… I’ll never be able to repay you.”

“Just stay safe,” Sam said with a sleepy smile. “That’s all we need.”

Dean smiled back, feeling a sense of peace settle over him. For the first time since fleeing the castle, he felt like he was truly safe, surrounded by people who cared about him.

Meanwhile, deep in the forest, Abaddon stood before her magic mirror, her eyes blazing with fury. The mirror had revealed to her that Dean was still alive, hiding somewhere in the forest with the dwarfs. Her jealousy and rage consumed her, and she knew she had to act quickly before Dean’s beauty outshone her own.

“I will not be bested by that boy,” Abaddon hissed, her voice dripping with venom. “If I can’t be the fairest in the land, then neither will he.”

With a wave of her hand, Abaddon summoned dark magic, her eyes glowing with malevolent power. She would find Dean, no matter where he was hiding, and she would make sure he never saw the light of day again.

As the days passed, Castiel’s search for Dean grew more urgent. He had heard rumors from travelers and villagers about a young man with golden hair who had been seen in the forest, always in the company of seven dwarfs. Castiel’s heart quickened at the thought—he was close, he could feel it.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Castiel caught sight of a small plume of smoke rising from the trees in the distance. His instincts told him that he was finally on the right track. With renewed determination, he made his way toward the source of the smoke, hoping that it would lead him to the one he sought.

Back at the cottage, the atmosphere was warm and comforting as the dwarfs shared a simple meal with Dean. They laughed and joked, their earlier tension replaced by a sense of camaraderie and belonging. Dean smiled as he listened to their banter, feeling more at home than he had in years.

But as the evening wore on, an uneasy feeling began to settle in Dean’s chest. He couldn’t explain it, but he felt as if something was coming, something dark and dangerous. He tried to push the feeling aside, focusing on the warmth of the fire and the company of his friends, but the unease persisted.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. The sound was so unexpected that everyone froze, the laughter dying in their throats. The dwarfs exchanged wary glances, their earlier good mood evaporating.

“Who could that be?” Kevin asked nervously, his eyes wide.

“Stay here,” Bobby said gruffly, standing up and motioning for the others to stay back. He approached the door cautiously, his hand on the hilt of a small dagger at his side.

Dean’s heart raced as he watched Bobby open the door, revealing a cloaked figure standing in the shadows. The figure was hunched and frail, holding a small basket in her hands.

“Good evening,” the woman croaked, her voice raspy and weak. “I’m just a poor old peddler, looking for a place to rest for the night. I have fresh apples to trade for your kindness.”

Dean’s eyes narrowed in suspicion. There was something off about the woman, something that sent a chill down his spine. But before he could say anything, Charlie spoke up.

“Oh, of course!” Charlie said brightly, her natural kindness overcoming her caution. “We’d be happy to help.”

“No!” Dean said quickly, stepping forward, his voice filled with urgency. “Something’s wrong. Don’t let her in.”

Bobby frowned, glancing between Dean and the old woman. “Dean, what are you talking about?”

Dean’s eyes widened as he recognized the feeling in his chest—fear, pure and unshakable. He knew, deep down, that this woman was not who she appeared to be. “Please, Bobby,” Dean pleaded, his voice trembling. “Don’t let her in.”

But before Bobby could respond, the old woman let out a cold, sinister laugh that echoed through the night. Her form began to shift and twist, and as the cloak fell away, Abaddon stood before them, her eyes blazing with malevolent power.

“Hello, Dean,” she hissed, her voice dripping with venom. “Did you really think you could hide from me forever?”

Dean’s blood ran cold, and the dwarfs sprang into action, placing themselves between Dean and the wicked queen. “Get back!” Gabriel barked, his usually playful demeanor replaced with fierce protectiveness.

But Abaddon was too powerful. With a flick of her wrist, she sent a wave of dark magic crashing into the dwarfs, sending them sprawling across the floor. Dean cried out in terror, rushing to their side, but Abaddon’s voice stopped him cold.

“Come here, Dean,” Abaddon commanded, her tone laced with dark magic. “It’s time to end this.”

Dean’s legs trembled, his fear paralyzing him as Abaddon stepped closer. “No,” Dean whispered, his voice shaking. “Please, don’t do this.”

But before Abaddon could make her move, the door to the cottage burst open, and Castiel strode in, his eyes blazing with righteous fury. “Stay away from him!” Castiel shouted, his voice echoing with power.

Abaddon turned, her eyes narrowing in fury. “You!” she snarled. “You dare interfere?”

“Dean, my love,” Castiel called, his gaze locking onto the terrified young man. “Get behind me. Now.”

Dean didn’t hesitate. He ran to Castiel’s side, his heart racing as the prince drew his sword, his stance protective and unwavering.

Abaddon sneered, her magic crackling in the air around her. “You think you can stop me, boy? I’ve spent years perfecting my magic, securing my power. You’re nothing but a foolish prince who’s meddling in affairs far beyond his understanding.”

Castiel’s eyes blazed with determination as he stepped protectively in front of Dean, his sword gleaming in the firelight. “I don’t need to understand your magic to stop you,” he said, his voice low and resolute. “All I need to know is that you’ve threatened someone I care about, and I won’t let that stand.”

Dean’s heart pounded in his chest as he clung to Castiel’s side, feeling the warmth and strength of the prince’s presence. He had never felt so protected, so safe, as he did in that moment. But he also knew that this confrontation would not be easily won—Abaddon’s power was immense, and Castiel was only one man.

The dwarfs, still recovering from the blast of dark magic, struggled to their feet, determined to stand with Castiel and protect Dean. Bobby gritted his teeth, wiping a trickle of blood from his brow. “We’re with you, Prince,” he growled, his voice laced with defiance. “That witch isn’t getting her hands on Dean.”

Gabriel, ever the stubborn one, cracked his knuckles and shot Abaddon a glare that could have melted stone. “You’re messing with the wrong crowd, lady. We may be small, but we’re tough as nails.”

Abaddon’s eyes flicked between Castiel, Dean, and the dwarfs, her expression twisting with disdain. “Pathetic,” she hissed, raising her hand as dark tendrils of magic curled around her fingers. “I’ll enjoy watching you all fall.”

With a flick of her wrist, Abaddon unleashed a torrent of dark magic, aimed directly at Castiel and Dean. The prince acted instantly, raising his sword to block the attack, the blade glowing with a bright, heavenly light. The magic clashed against the sword, sending sparks flying as Castiel held his ground, protecting Dean with all his strength.

But Abaddon’s power was relentless, and Castiel could feel the strain as he fought to keep the dark magic at bay. Dean watched in horror, his heart aching as he saw the effort it took for Castiel to protect him. He couldn’t just stand by and let Castiel fight alone—he had to do something.

“Cas!” Dean shouted, his voice trembling with emotion. “You don’t have to do this by yourself! We can fight her together!”

Castiel’s gaze softened for a moment, his eyes locking with Dean’s. “I won’t let her hurt you, Dean,” he said, his voice firm but filled with love. “Not now, not ever.”

But as Castiel spoke, Abaddon’s magic surged forward with renewed force, pushing the prince back a step. Dean’s eyes widened in fear as he realized that Castiel couldn’t hold her off much longer.

“No!” Dean cried out, his heart pounding in his chest. He couldn’t lose Castiel—not when they had just found each other. Without thinking, Dean rushed forward, placing himself between Castiel and Abaddon.

“Dean, no!” Castiel shouted, his voice filled with panic.

But Dean didn’t stop. He faced Abaddon head-on, his heart racing with a mixture of fear and determination. “You’ve taken enough from me, Abaddon,” Dean said, his voice steady despite the terror gripping him. “You won’t take this, too.”

For a moment, the world seemed to stand still. Abaddon’s eyes narrowed, her fury boiling over as she prepared to unleash the full force of her magic on Dean. But just as she was about to strike, something incredible happened.

The dwarfs, who had been watching in shock, suddenly sprang into action. Bobby, Gabriel, Charlie, and the others rushed forward, their small but determined forms surrounding Dean and Castiel. They formed a protective barrier, their loyalty and love for Dean giving them the strength to stand against Abaddon’s magic.

“You’ll have to get through us first!” Bobby shouted, his voice echoing with defiance.

Abaddon sneered, her eyes blazing with hatred. “Fools! You can’t stop me!”

But as she raised her hand to strike, Castiel’s sword began to glow even brighter, the light intensifying as the prince drew strength from the love and loyalty surrounding him. He took a deep breath, focusing all his energy on one final strike.

With a mighty swing, Castiel slashed through the dark magic, the heavenly light shattering Abaddon’s spell and sending a shockwave through the cottage. The force of the blow sent Abaddon reeling, her eyes wide with disbelief as she stumbled backward, her power crumbling around her.

“No… this can’t be!” Abaddon shrieked, her voice filled with rage and desperation. “I’m the most powerful in the land! I won’t be defeated by a bunch of dwarfs and a foolish prince!”

But as Abaddon struggled to regain control, the dwarfs rallied around Castiel and Dean, their spirits unbroken. “You’ve lost, Abaddon,” Dean said, his voice firm and resolute. “Your cruelty ends here.”

With a final, furious scream, Abaddon’s magic imploded, collapsing in on itself and leaving only a cloud of dark smoke in its wake. When the smoke cleared, the wicked queen was gone, her power shattered and her reign of terror finally over.

The cottage fell silent, the tension in the air slowly dissipating as the realization of what had just happened sank in. The dwarfs looked at one another in stunned disbelief, while Castiel lowered his sword, his breath coming in ragged gasps.

Dean stood frozen, his heart still racing, but as the fear began to fade, he felt a warmth spread through his chest. It was over. They had won. Abaddon was gone, and he was free.

But before Dean could fully process what had happened, he felt Castiel’s arms wrap around him, pulling him into a tight embrace. Dean’s breath hitched as he melted into Castiel’s hold, his tears finally spilling over as the emotions of the past few days came crashing down on him.

“Cas…” Dean whispered, his voice trembling. “I was so scared…”

“I know, Dean,” Castiel murmured, his voice filled with love and relief as he held Dean close. “But it’s over now. You’re safe.”

Dean clung to Castiel, his tears soaking into the prince’s shirt as he let out all the fear and pain he had been holding inside. Castiel’s embrace was warm and comforting, his hand gently stroking Dean’s back as he whispered soothing words.

The dwarfs watched the scene unfold, their expressions softening with understanding and affection. They had fought to protect Dean, to keep him safe, and now they could finally see him happy, free from the shadow of Abaddon’s cruelty.

“Looks like the prince found his princess,” Gabriel muttered with a wry grin, though there was genuine warmth in his tone.

Charlie giggled, wiping away a tear of her own. “I think they make a perfect pair.”

Bobby nodded in agreement, his gruff exterior unable to hide the pride he felt for Dean. “He deserves this,” he said quietly. “After everything he’s been through… he deserves to be happy.”

As Dean and Castiel finally pulled back from their embrace, their eyes met, and Dean saw something in Castiel’s gaze that made his heart flutter—a fierce protectiveness, a deep love that went beyond mere attraction. Castiel wasn’t just a prince; he was Dean’s protector, his partner, his equal.

“Thank you, Cas,” Dean whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “For saving me. For everything.”

Castiel cupped Dean’s cheek, his thumb brushing away a tear as he gazed at him with adoration. “You never have to thank me, Dean,” he said softly. “I would do it all again, a thousand times over, if it meant keeping you safe."

Dean’s breath caught in his throat, his heart swelling with love for the man who had risked everything for him. Without a second thought, he leaned in and pressed his lips to Castiel’s, the kiss soft and tender, filled with all the emotions they had both kept hidden for so long.

The dwarfs cheered, their voices filled with joy as they watched the couple finally find their happily ever after. The fear and darkness that had once plagued their lives had been banished, replaced by the light of love and hope.

When they finally broke the kiss, Dean rested his forehead against Castiel’s, a contented smile on his lips. “I love you, Cas,” he whispered, his voice trembling with sincerity.

“I love you too, Dean,” Castiel replied, his voice just as soft. “And I’ll never let anything come between us again.”

With the threat of Abaddon gone, the kingdom slowly began to heal. The darkness that had once loomed over the land was lifted, and the people rejoiced at the news of the wicked queen’s downfall. Dean and Castiel returned to the castle, where they were welcomed with open arms by the king and queen, who had long hoped for their son to find true love.

As for the dwarfs, they were hailed as heroes for their bravery and loyalty. They returned to their cottage in the forest, content in the knowledge that they had played a part in saving Dean and helping him find his happy ending.

And so, in the kingdom that had once been ruled by fear and darkness, light and love finally prevailed. Dean and Castiel were married in a grand ceremony attended by the entire kingdom, their union celebrated as a symbol of hope and renewal. The people rejoiced, their hearts lifted by the story of the young man who had been hidden away but was now cherished by the prince who had fought to protect him.

The dwarfs, honored guests at the wedding, watched with pride as Dean stood beside Castiel, the two of them radiating happiness and love. It was a day none of them would ever forget—a day when goodness and kindness triumphed over cruelty and darkness.

After the wedding, Dean and Castiel took time to visit the dwarfs at their cottage, bringing gifts and sharing stories of their new life together. The dwarfs were overjoyed to see Dean so happy, free from the fear that had once shadowed his every step.

“Sunshine, you look positively radiant!” Charlie exclaimed, giving Dean a big hug. “Married life suits you.”

Dean laughed, returning the hug with equal enthusiasm. “Thanks, Charlie. I couldn’t have done it without all of you.”

“Don’t sell yourself short, Dean,” Bobby said with a proud smile. “You’ve got a heart of pure gold, and you’ve always had the strength to overcome anything, kid."

Gabriel smirked, crossing his arms. “And let’s not forget the prince here. He’s not so bad either.”

Castiel chuckled, placing a protective arm around Dean’s shoulders. “I’ve been blessed to find someone as wonderful as Dean. I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure he knows just how much he means to me.”

The dwarfs grinned at each other, pleased to see that Castiel was just as devoted to Dean as they were. They had always been protective of Dean, but now they could rest easy knowing he was in the care of someone who would move mountains for him.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the forest, the group gathered around the fire outside the cottage, reminiscing about their adventures and enjoying the peace that had finally come to the kingdom.

“Do you ever miss your kingdom?” Castiel asked softly, his gaze resting on Dean.

Dean shook his head, a contented smile on his lips. “No, not at all. I have everything I ever wanted right here.” He leaned against Castiel, feeling the warmth of the fire and the love of those around him. “This is where I belong.”

Castiel’s heart swelled with emotion as he tightened his hold on Dean. “And I belong with you, my love. Wherever you are, that’s where I’ll be.”

Dean turned his head to look up at Castiel, his eyes shining with tears of happiness. “I know, my prince. And I’ll never let go of you.”

They shared a tender kiss, the world around them fading away as they lost themselves in each other. The dwarfs, ever supportive, cheered and clapped, their joy infectious as they celebrated the love that had brought them all together.

As the night wore on and the fire crackled softly, the dwarfs began to doze off one by one, their earlier excitement giving way to the comfort of sleep. Castiel and Dean, still wide awake, remained by the fire, enjoying the quiet peace of the moment.

“Thank you for everything, Cas,” Dean said softly, resting his head on Castiel’s shoulder. “You saved me, in more ways than one.”

Castiel smiled, pressing a kiss to Dean’s temple. “And you saved me, too, Dean. You’ve given me a purpose, a reason to fight, and a love I never knew I could have. I’ll protect you for the rest of our lives.”

Dean felt a surge of warmth in his chest, knowing that with Castiel by his side, he was safe, loved, and cherished. The darkness of his past was behind him, and the future stretched out before them, bright and full of promise.

Dean whispered, his voice filled with hope. “We’ll face whatever comes next, together.”

Castiel nodded, his heart filled with love and determination. “Always, my love.”

As the stars twinkled above and the fire crackled beside them, Dean and Castiel knew that their story was only just beginning. With the support of their friends, the love they had found in each other, and the courage that had brought them this far, they were ready to face whatever the future held—side by side, forever.

And so, the prince and his beloved lived happily ever after, their hearts bound together by a love as pure and strong as the stars in the sky.
