"One more story about Erebor, Pleaseeee Uncle Thorin" Kili begged loudly while fili looked in aww at his small baby brother of 10 years.
"Well little one, it was a truly majestic place, a mountain bigger than anything, You've seen before. Built by our great ancestors, it was our home and someday it will be yours too." Thorin said while he looked at his 2 little nephews, his sister sons.
Fili and kili looked at him excited and dreamed about how it would be to live there one day..

.
Later that day, the 2 princes were outside, trying to climb on everything they saw. Kili stood at the top of a stone and called his brother "Look Fili, I am standing on top erebor as the King!!"
Suddenly a scream interuppted and the younger brother fell to the ground. Fili ran towards him and tried to calm the crying and screaming dwarfing down.
Dis heard the screams and ran outside to her sons. She hugged Kili tightly. "Shhh everything is okay now, little one. Your just as reckless as your brother." She laughed slightly as she said this and looked down at her youngest.
Kili snuggled onto his mother while holding her Hand, and suddenly the pain on his body stopped. Al he could feel now was his mother's warm body and his brothers calming voice.

Many years later, it was finaly the day, the journey to erebor began and Dis hugged her 2 sons tightly. She looked at the brothers with tears running down her face while she suddenly put a carved stone in Kilis hand.
"I know how reckless you are dear, but please promise me to return with your brother safely. This stone will remind you of that. Fili and Kili nodded and hugged her back, not knowing that it will be the last time in their lives.

As much as Kili loved Tauriel and was thankful that she lived. As much as he was thankful for finally being in Erebor, he felt still scared, so so scared as the orcs weapon pierced through him.
Kili and Fili grew up on tales of the mountain, and they always dreamed of being here one day but oh he did not dreamed of the war he was fighting in right now
Was it really worth it, he asked himself again as he felt the hot pain in his body and knew that his life was taken from him
Kili saw the tears in Tauriel eyes and wished he could hug her and tell her that everything was going to be Okay, just like his mother once said to him. Especially given the fact that Kili gave the Stone which holded a great promise to his beloved elven maid.
It all didn't matter any more, all of the dreams of living in Erebor were gone. In the short time he was there, he only saw war. He saw his brother being killed. And most importantly, he could not keep his promise. Erebor had more gold he could have ever dreamt of, but it was all worthless for him. No Gold in the world had the same worth as the stone his mother gave him. No legend, no place, not even Erebor, the mountain he always dreamed of had the some worth Home had
And then all went dark, and the screams of the war stopped. He felt a hand reaching for his and putting a stone in his palm. Kili knew it must be Tauriel giving him the stone back but deep deep in his heart he felt like the small child he was again, in the arms of his beloved mother.
In his last breath he grasped the stone tightly. "Mother....Please take me and Fili home. Please Let me keep my promise. Please..." he begged. "I want to go home"
