One of a kind.
Kindly enough, that's how people usually described Melt. Having both good looks and a pretty voice, he's nothing but a kid worth of favor in people's eyes. Sometimes it left him pondering on what he had done to deserve such treatment. But Melt being Melt, he has always been grateful for even the littlest things in his life.
A lot had changed, one of the drastic change lies upon his demeanor. He has been such a nice person towards everyone. Ages ago his personality was the polar opposite of how he behaved nowadays.
He had grown to be way more polite. He has always been smiling and has never become a nuisance. That is, compared to how he was 6 years ago, he's way much better than how he used to be. They say people change. While gradually losing his teenage feature, Melt lose many of his disgusting features as well, such as his old ignorant self, he really tried his best to become a better version of himself, and everyone appreciates that.
Of course, he won't be able to do that without a sudden uninvited existence in his life, and it's none other than Aqua. Back when they first encountered, they couldn't really tell what to feel about each other, or rather, Melt leave such bad impression in front of Aqua when they first met each other for Sweet Today.
Nonetheless, Aqua's existence has became one of the most important events in his life, up to this day. Why was that?
Aqua was a big impact of his growth, both as an actor and as a human himself. He learned a lot from that guy who came out of nowhere and saved him absentmindedly. He gets to understand his sheer incompetence, and started patching up a lot of things he has been lacking thanks to Aqua's guide.
The guy once even said that he gave up all of his pride just to ask for Aqua's advice. Now, how is Aqua not important in Melt's life anymore? Genuinely thinking that there are basically none other than Aqua who matters the most to Melt at this point.
Aqua changed him, and he is more than glad to get to know that guy out of anyone. Sometimes, he may wondered, what kind of fate was intertwined with their first encounter or what are the destiny between the two of them in that matter.
But one thing Melt knew for sure, Aqua is all about the good stuff coming towards him effortlessly. He'd thank any god who had brought Aqua into his life, or even Kana Arima, who dragged Aqua into Sweet Today and met him in the first place. It's like as if he was meant to be attached to Aqua or something.
And he really ended up getting attached towards Aqua. Most of the times, Melt found himself in a position where he couldn't go a day without thinking about Aqua and his well being, or basically anything about the blonde haired guy. He would constantly caught himself off guard after allowing Aqua to rock his mind back and forth.
The universe are either too graceful or mayhaps not helping with their occupation at all because things gets questionable after the two got paired as models for the PASH magazine cover. If Melt could remember it correctly, everything feels like a mere dream.
He remembered running his hand on Aqua's shoulder, placing another on the latter's chest just for Aqua to gently placed his hand on top of Melt's. Work does matter but who knows how exaggerated Melt's feelings was when he had such proximity with Aqua.
Aqua's scent, Aqua's touch, everything about Aqua lingers in his mind, having to feel the inability to escape, sadly. Melt could even remember how Aqua's chest pounds, and how the tip of Aqua's ear slightly redden whenever Melt breathe so closely. He even remember how Aqua turned his head towards him, facing him the moment his chin fell unto Aqua's shoulder, making their position a little too intimate for their occupation as.. colleagues.
Melt's breath hitched, his sunglasses sliding down, revealing his bewildered yet adorable eyes, staring into Aqua's own. If Melt was being completely honest, he could already feel Aqua's breath making its contact with his skin, driving him lesser than the word sane. That moment was when he realized that he was too weak to handle Aqua's gaze, or his charm from up close. It was all too much to handle.
“What's wrong?” Aqua asked him softly, while trying to fix his position and his pose, as he leaned back while gently caressing Melt's hand, causing the other to actually blush without anyone in the studio knowing other than Aqua. Oh, he definitely witness that. “N-Nothing.” Was all Melt could give in response, as he tried his best to calm himself down and most likely, trying to deny the fact that he just experience a gay panic just by being close to Aqua.
After all, the pose was zesty as fuck. Nevertheless, it came out pretty well, anyway.
Melt remembered everything as if it was a second ago. Of course, he had been so emotionally and physically attached towards Aqua, so who wouldn't expect him to fell in love with the blonde? He already felt as if he have everything he need whenever Aqua's with him.
Aqua has always been one of a kind to him, just like how people saw him as one of a kind as well. Perhaps they were meant to be.. Something he couldn't even comprehend.
Melt's 20th birthday is just around the corner yet nothing much to expect at all. He has been a whole lot more than successful in life considering his job as an actor. Not only that a lot of people wants him to fill in for a whole lot of leading roles, or rather becoming a brand ambassador for certain companies, but also that he's satisfied with his current self now that he has been growing in a lot of aspects, making him useful for the entertainment industry. Melt is not the type to be greedy, well not anymore at least. So for his 20th birthday, he didn't wish for anything else but health, and his wholesome bond with his loved ones to last forever.
At first he thought that maybe it was a pretty selfish wish, but at the end of the day, everyone deserves happiness, right?
Melt yawned, while rubbing one of his eyelids as he head towards the living room, a living room that is... technically not his. He was spending his night in someone else's house, in someone else's room, in someone else's bed. If he could remember things correctly, the last time he slept on someone else's bed was a horrible nightmare. But this time, he assumed things went better for him, and it does.
He's in his boyfriend's house.
Having the best sleep last night, he was also welcomed by waking up on the right side of the bed. Waking up with a good mood has always been Melt's one in a million reasons to smile throughout the day. But then, his main reason to live was to fulfill his dreams, playing his part and leave a mark in the industry, and of course, his boyfriend.
He walk sleepily while plopping down to the couch, or Aqua's lap to be precise. The blonde guy was there, reading some books while having a cup of coffee ready on the table for him to take a sip or two. When Melt suddenly landed on top of his lap, it sort of took him by surprise. There lies, his sleepy hardworking little bug.
Aqua smiled, while gently running his hand through Melt's strands of hair. “Good morning. How was your sleep?” He asked him, and the latter lazily stood up, and sat beside Aqua, while keeping his left hand on Aqua's lap, and the other to rub his right eye. “Mworning~ It was.. Fwine..” He said, using a pouty tone and spoke cutely, triggering Aqua's cuteness aggression.
Sometimes, Aqua wondered what will happen to him if he kept this relationship with Melt. He might just die in cuteness, or rather, if Melt become a little too pretty for him to handle, he's ready to pin him down and do him all night long.
Well, if he does, blame him not since Melt sure is pretty as fuck.
Aqua smiled, and Melt leaned in for a quick sleepy kisses in the morning, to which Aqua responded with cupping his chin and plant some kisses on that sweet little lips. Melt was surely tired and a part of him remained somewhere on the clouds, yet, Aqua's kisses never failed to make him feel all flustered. He blushed, having to properly woken up by a shocking wave caused by none other than his own boyfriend.
“You look tired as hell.” Aqua pointed out, while slowly reaching the back of Melt's neck and pull him closer, so the other could lay his head on his shoulder. Melt hummed, not really able to react properly due to lacking energy. “Uhm.. yeah..” He said. “Schedule was a bit piled up yesterday, so... i kinda overwork myself.” He proceeded, while explaining tiresomely.
Hearing it, Aqua frowned upon his concern for Melt's health and fitness. “Don't force yourself. You need a break. Not everything should be done in a jiffy.“ Aqua rants while caressing Melt's head, from his forehead to the top of his head. It provides the comfort he had always been needing ever since he dated Aqua. His touch, his words of affirmation, everything he did never failed to cheer Melt up.
Now he wondered, how in the world did they ended up dating, when they were technically none other than work colleagues from the start?
For starters, Melt thought that Aqua is a pretty close minded person, and he often shy away from the crowd, he even assumed that Aqua might find it hard to socialize since he's a legit introvert. Aqua seems to be unapproachable, and distant from others. It made him wondered why they became close without him putting in any effort to talk to Aqua.
When Melt first find a thing he had in common with Aqua—struggling with their emotions—he thought that maybe Aqua could relate to him, that he doesn't have to feel alone. But then again, Aqua was an incredible actor. He had never been snapped to reality before he met Aqua. Nonetheless, it doesn't make Aqua any less distant from other. Well, if Melt was being honest, he even thought that Aqua was a little too distant towards his own girlfriend that time, Akane Kurokawa.
But then after learning how anti-social Aqua is, he still managed to ask him out for a jog together, and purposely throw his pride away just to ask for Aqua's help and advice in terms of acting. So, Aqua gave him what he needed, and thanks to that, he achieved more than expected applauses for his ad-lib while doing his sword trick. It was thanks to his hard work, and Aqua, of course.
Now, he didn't get why Aqua looked way more friendly towards him than the others. Perhaps, Aqua had never talked to any guys before? But that'd be a silly assumption, considering how much he went to school. But then again, Aqua is an anti-social, so it's pretty much possible for him to actually think that Aqua has never talked to any of the guys in his school before.
So, when Aqua finally found a guy like Melt who kinda fits his liking, he'd gladly smile and do as what Melt said as a thank you for being a part of his life as well. To be honest, that's a pretty cute way of expressing how much he wanted to actually have a friend like Melt. Nonetheless, he was too devoted to killing his father so he doesn't want to include Melt in his self destructing life. Aqua was literally a walking bomb back then.
But then, things got sorted out, somehow. So when Aqua finally stopped the self destructing agenda, and completely lost his interest in revenge, he can finally have some time to collect himself and become the newest version of himself. He went to approach Melt first out of all people, as it felt right for him to approach the one he had been trying to keep away from the dangerous path first, since Melt doesn't have any idea on whatever Aqua has been plotting.
Long story short, everything worked out for the two of them and they ended up being super close until Melt confessed on how much he had been falling for Aqua ever since Tokyo Blade. Aqua thought that Melt was a superior for suppressing his feeling and hold it in for such a long time. It must be hurtful, and Aqua just couldn't imagine Melt getting hurt. So, it was totally right for him to confess to Aqua, there and then.
Aqua and Melt remembered everything about their first day as each other's significant other, and it provides some sort of warmth that they can only obtain from each other presence.
Melt hummed while wrapping an arm around Aqua's torso. “Okay... I won't overwork myself again..” He said softly, and Aqua planted a kiss on his forehead as a reward for being such an obedient child. Like a mother towards her son, to be honest. “Good boy~” Aqua said, adding a little more affection in his tone, making the other giggled affectionately as well. “You sounded like my mom.” Melt teased him.
“Oh really? She said that?” Aqua asked him while raising an eyebrow, teasing him back as he managed to make the other blush in embarrassment. “Not quite but.. uhm..” He stuttered and Aqua chuckled slightly. “A mommy kink, huh? That's new.” Aqua said, while taking his cup of coffee and took a sip. “Here, i thought i was your only kink.” He snickered. Gosh, since when did Aqua became such flirty brat?
Melt's eyes widened as he let go of Aqua and stared at him confusedly. “I, uhm- Of course, you're my only kink! I- I mean..” His sentence died at the tip of his tongue as he covered his face in embarrassment, unable to face Aqua anymore because his face has been converted into a bright red tomato. Aqua stared at him, before pulling away his hands, revealing his tomato face.
“No need to be embarrassed.” Aqua said, before smashing his lips on Melt's once more. The kiss was quite deep leaving Melt stunned as Aqua asked him to part his lips so they could kiss open-mouthedly. At first he hesitated a little, but in the end, he obeyed what Aqua had asked him to do, and the make out last for a few seconds before Aqua pulled away, staring at his cute, tipsy boyfriend. Not that he was drunk, but Aqua was an alcoholic person, and it really affected Melt.
Melt let out a small yet noticeable whimper, and Aqua lightly smiled at him, with another intention to tease him. Since when did he become a tease?
“You're lucky i haven't dragged you back to the bedroom.” Aqua pointed out absentmindedly, and it confuses Melt. “H-Huh?” The latter said in the middle of his whimpers and Aqua scoffed. “You heard me.”
“Yeah, but why?” Melt plays innocent and it triggers Aqua to the point where he really wanted to kiss that pretty sculptured neck and leave some hickeys behind. “Because you're pretty? You're lucky you're still able to walk right now, Melt.” He said, while sitting back properly and Melt stared at him for mere seconds before smiling. “Oh~ Then, I don't mind if you try rendering me unable to walk, Aqua~” Melt said, as he smirked cutely, successfully earning a bewildered gaze from his blonde boyfriend.
“What?” Aqua's eyes widened, finding it difficult to believe what he just heard. “I- I won't do that.” Aqua said, completely out of his mind after having the thought of Melt's cute attempt trying to keep up with Aqua. He couldn't lie that he imagined how it feels to hear those cute whimpers from Melt and the sweet delicate sounds of his moa— Nevermind.
Melt pouted. “Why? I said i don't mind.” Melt laughed while Aqua stared at him, feeling slightly taken aback. “It was a joke, honey. Don't take it seriously.” Aqua said while leaning back to the couch, as he patted Melt's head and the other kept on pouting. “Hmph. It's almost my birthday, you know?” Melt said, as he stared at Aqua intensely, eyes shimmering with hope. Well, he ended up taking the joke seriously. But if Aqua had to admit matter of factly, he really wanted to fuck the princess sitting beside him at the moment.
Whatever is on their mind right now... After all, they've been dating for 3 months. Aside from holding unto their current relationship, they've known each other for almost 6 years. Perhaps they find it normal to fantasize about each other that way?
“Okay, fine. What do you want for your birthday? I can already guess though.” Aqua asked him. It can only mean one thing. Melt grins mischievously before leaning forward towards Aqua, and whispered. “Heh. You really do know what i want.”
Melt smiled as he pulled himself away. “Well, aside from all of that, i really wanted our relationship to last forever. So, my biggest wish is actually; for you to stay by my side, all the time.” Melt turned from being an unhinged nuisance into a soft and joyful little guy who only deserves hugs and happiness along the way. When Aqua realized how the other really mean what he had said, it broke him apart as it made him think that he didn't deserve such kind and generous boyfriend.
Aqua sighed, as he let out a soft smile while dropping his gaze down to his lap. “I don't deserve you...” He really mean that, not in an painful way, yet he acknowledged how open minded and carefree the other is, most likely better than him in terms of personality.
Melt chuckled as he hugged Aqua. “No, you're wrong. I should've been the one to say that. I have no idea what i did to deserve you because you've always been the coolest person ever.” Melt admitted innocently, and the adorableness hits Aqua harder than 100 rocks falling over him. “I suggest you stop joking around.” Aqua replied, with a smile on his face.
Then again, Melt has always been the reason for Aqua to smile. To him, Aqua is one of a kind. He had always been one of a kind in Melt's eyes ever since they met each other on Sweet Today. And to Aqua, Melt is also one of a kind for accepting him the way he is. Well that is to no surprise since Melt has always been looking up to him, and there this little chance of getting to see Melt ditching Aqua in any possible way, or mayhaps because of any possible thing.
Nevertheless, who in a million years would ever thought about Aqua and Melt getting serious about shit and established themselves that way?
Probably Kana Arima.
“Geez. I swear to god i've never felt so single my whole entire life.” Kana said, witnessing a pretty gay sight, available for her bare eyes to see. Of course, if it wasn't for her unprompted approach at Aqua and Melt's quality time, she wouldn't have been so thunderstrucked. What can she say? Everytime she came approaching the couple, she'd be catching them flirting in the most gayest way possible. Though it was not on purpose, well not technically the sight they wanted Kana to see, but things happen.
Aqua looked up at Kana, while staying at his current position; Arms wrapped around Melt so tightly, while the blonde buried his nose on Melt's chest, and the other merely let him and his actions be. Melt has always been liking Aqua's affectionate touches towards him. He didn't mind if Aqua would take over him, because he knew for sure, Aqua is the opposite of those people who had showered him with fake loves back in his school days.
“But you're dating Kurokawa.. Right?” Melt asked her, while being all trapped inside the tight grip around his waist. Aqua sniffed on his chest, and Melt merely chuckled at his boyfriend's sneaky attack. There, they left Kana hopelessly third wheeling their agenda.
“Yes, but—” She's in a loss of words during Aqua and Melt's flirting period and all she did was letting out an exasperated sigh. “Stop flirting in front of me! This is exactly why i've never felt so single.” Kana glared at them and Aqua merely shrugged it off. He is basically trying to flex about his relationship with Melt and Kana is so used to it. Aqua Hoshino, you little shit.
Kana sighed as Aqua opened up his mouth and speak up, “Next time, bring Akane over to accompany you.” He simply said, and Kana hissed at him, though Aqua wasn't mistaken, she should've done it beforehand, to make her feel less single because of course, Akane is her girlfriend. “I will, sheesh.” She said, while rolling her eyes and Melt chuckled at their most normal type of conversation ever.
After all, Melt had to thank Kana for bringing Aqua into his life. The person he can finally engage with, the person who had made him a better person, the person he's madly in love now.
In fact, he should be thankful for a lot of stuff and Aqua summarize it all. He is thankful to get to know Aqua.
He had never been so grateful for being able to live his life as Melt Narushima, the person who is loved, and cared by Aqua Hoshino, and the same goes with the opposite.
Melt closes his eyes and just like his name, he melted like a butter on a heated pan, the moment he lock his lips with Aqua's. Melt is sincere by his heart when he says that he didn't wish for anything else but happiness for his 20th birthday, nor does he expect any expensive gifts or the quantity of the gifts he'd received on his birthday, because he already have his gift right in front of him. Aqua Hoshino.
The pulled away slightly to catch some air to breathe as Aqua ran his finger on Melt's soft and delicate face, diligently running the back of his palm on the purple haired boy's cheek, as the latter melts into his touch. Seems like he's called Melt for a reason.
“I love you. I'm never gonna get tired to bombard you with this word.” Aqua said softly, while gently cupping Melt's chin, as they joined their foreheads together.
“I love you too, Aqua... I couldn't say how much.” Melt said endearingly, and Aqua smiled at him. “Why is that?” He asked and Melt chuckled lightly. “Because it's uncountable. I love you abundantly.” He said while pulling Aqua into a hug.
As for Aqua himself, he had never felt this cheesy and romantic before he started dating Melt. The purple haired guy made him realized that he used to have this kind of romantic feelings towards others as well, he helped him realized that he shouldn't stay cold hearted all the freaking time and learned how to express himself in the most comfortable and non exaggerated way. In all honesty, Aqua likes how it turned out, and he will never blame Melt for turning him on like this.
Aqua pinned his boyfriend down while kissing his cheek, and Melt laughed his heart out in pure joy and in a way he showed how much he loves the attention Aqua had showered him with. Melt is the happiest when he's with Aqua, and the same goes to the otherwise.
“I don't have a gift for you.” Aqua bluntly said and Melt definitely understand what he meant. “Of course babe, you're the present itself.” Melt added while smiling his gums out, and Aqua smiled while tackling him down and plant some kisses on Melt's face.
“I'm glad we're both adults now.” Aqua said as he leaned in closer, and Melt could already sense the heat coming back as they started to get turned on. “H-Ha.. Yeah..” He whispered out, as Aqua moves forward and kisses him deeply.
Well, perhaps there were some things they needed to clear among them.
After all, Aqua had fully known what Melt wanted for his birthday, right?
