"There's a new pool opening in New Ninjago City," Jay said, while checking the collective ninja email. The collective email was a new development since they became famous in order to keep track of fan-stuff without having to have everyone forward everything.
"Oh that's cool," Kai said, absentmindedly, while scrolling through chirp on his phone.
"The mayor wants us to be there for the grand opening," Jay continued, "what's the politest way to decline..?"
Kai's head snapped up.
"They want us to what ?"
"You don't have to decline on my account," Cole insisted. He was just trying to relax on the couch because, funnily enough, not being able to sleep makes your thoughts more disorganized and he often needed to make time to try to calm his mind.
"I'm gonna respond," Kai said, getting up.
"Be my guest," Jay said, getting off the singular spinny chair and allowing Kai to sit down. Kai cracked his knuckles.
Dear fancy government person,
"I regret letting you write this already," Jay said.
"Don't worry, Jay. It'll be fine. I got this," Kai brushed him off. Jay sighed.
I am here to impolitely decline your request to invite us to the grand opening of the New Ninjago City pool.
Firstly, are you just stupid? It hasn't even been a month since Cole turned into a ghost and you either want us to purposely exclude him because we should think your new pool is more important then one of our own or for us to willingly put him in danger for you. Either which is not going to happen.
"I didn't know you knew how to write," Jay said.
"Shut up," Kai rolled his eyes.
Secondly, I hope you understand that this means that there's no way in hell that we will ever do any event for you again. You have evidently shown your lack of respect for us and so I hope you don't mind if we show a lack of respect to you.
Kai paused, "I feel like I'm missing something."
Sincerely,
Kai, Master of Fire
"Hey, guys! What are you two doing?" Nya asked, breaking away from her conversation with Lloyd as they entered the room.
"Kai's sending the government hate mail," Jay grinned.
"Let me see," Lloyd said. Jay moved aside to let Lloyd in front of the computer.
Lloyd started out with an amused smile which quickly fell upon reading the contents of the original email. He read Kai's response and added to the bottom.
Lloyd Garmadon, Green Ninja
"Send it," Lloyd said.
"What? Wait, really?"
"Ooh! Let me add my name too!" Nya pushed Lloyd aside.
Nya, Samurai X/Master of Water
"Guys, I was the one actually here! Let me add my name on top of Lloyds-" Jay complained.
"Go ahead. I'm gonna go grab Zane," Lloyd said. Lloyd ran off.
Jay, Master of Lighting
"What is this about Kai sending hate mail?" Zane said, largely unamused.
"Just read it!" Jay insisted. Zane quickly scanned it. He sighed.
"Genuinely, was the person who came up with this idea thinking?" Zane said, his tone as cold as his element.
Zane, Master of Ice
Zane paused for a second before adding.
And P.I.X.A.L.
"Cole? Do you want to add your name?"
If ghosts could cry, Cole would no longer be in the realm. As it was, however, ghosts could not cry and Cole was still in the room
"You guys..."
"C'mon, Cole. Did you really think we'd say yes?" Kai asked.
Cole wiped non-existent tears off his face with his sleeve, "no. Not really."
Cole, Master of Earth
Send.
