“I-“ Matt started, immediately choking on the words. He couldn’t do it. He couldn’t force the words out. He sat there like an idiot, mouth agape as he stared at Ryan.
“You…?” Ryan urged him along, his eyes softening into something knowing—comforting. He wanted Matt to overcome this hurdle. He wanted permission to do what he’d been aching to do for months.
“I… want you… to…” Matt stammered, his bottom lip trembling. He felt like he was going to cry again. “To touch me.”
