Work Text:
The students of class 1-A are always ready for when things go haywire. Even if it doesn't look like it. They all put on a brave face, laughing and joking to hide the dark truth.
The truth being that Midoriya always has battle plans on him in case they are attacked.
Ashido is always ready to throw an acid-filled punch if someone unexpectedly appears next to her.
Kaminari is always charged up and ready.
Uraraka has been training her hand-to-hand combat ruthlessly. Always ready for when the inevitable villain attack strikes.
Not a day goes by without the class tirelessly training. Their quirks, bodies, and minds. It takes a lot to be a hero, after all.
And they have already been through so much. You would think they could get at least one weekend of peace.
But nothing ever goes according to plan with them.

7:40 AM
The members of 1-A happily chatted before Homeroom. The New Year’s Party they had in the dorms a few days before had left them in a good mood. It was nice to do something fun for once.
There was also a message in the group chat from Mineta this morning stating he was sick. The girls - and some of the boys - were happy that they didn’t have to deal with his perverseness for a day.
The first day of school for the year was going great. A rare case for the members of 1-A.
It really shouldn't have come as a surprise that something bad happened. They should have noticed the day was too good. To happy.
Homeroom went off without a hitch.
The members of class 1-A 'forgot' to tell Aizawa-Sensei where Mineta really was, and thus he got detention. Then, the day began.
English, Mathematics, Ethics, Art History, Hero Law, and Training went by like a breeze.
The day was perfect. Midoriya didn’t break any bones. There were no fights. Todoroki didn’t trauma dump on anyone. There were no tests.
Aizawa-Sensei didn’t even assign homework!
The students all but ran out the door when the bell rang, happy to be free for the weekend. They sat in the common room and joyfully talked about their weekend plans. Bakugou, Satou, Tsu, and Uraraka, the only four trusted not to burn down the dorms, made dinner.
Soon, the smell had wafted into the common room, and their conversations shifted to food-related topics. Midoriya and Aoyama were tasked with setting the table.
Finally, after the table is set and the food is placed, Bakugo yells out to them. "You fuckers better get in here before I decide you extras aren’t worth it!"
The kids excitedly pile into the kitchen, grabbing plates and piling them high.
6:57 PM
When almost everyone has found their seats, Bakugo grabs Denki by the back of his shirt before he can fill his own plate.
“Ack! Hey c’mon man!” Denki whines, giving Bakugo his best puppy dog eyes. “I’m hungry, Kacchan! You can’t do this to me. I’m starving! Skin and bones here-”
Bakugo grunts, pushing Denki towards the elevators, smirking as he trips. “Go get the grapist. Fucker probably hasn’t eaten if he’s sick. I'll make a plate for ya.”
“Why me!?” Denki wails dramatically, even as he walks towards the elevator. He huffs when Bakugo doesn’t respond, instead giving him the middle finger over his shoulder.
Denki pouts as he enters the elevator. He leans against the wall and presses the number for Mineta’s floor. As the elevator rises, his stomach lets out a loud growl that makes him jump.
“I know buddy. Hang in there.” Denki murmurs, patting his stomach.
Once the elevator door opens, Denki skips down the hallway, stopping at Mineta’s door. He knocks loudly. “Hey, I know you’re probably jacking off, but there’s food!”
Denki puts his hands in his pockets and waits.
And waits.
And waits.
Denki groans, checking his phone to see that five minutes had passed while he waited for Mineta to answer. He sighs, putting his phone in his pocket. “There’s food! Come on, I'm starving here! Don’t make me wait longer!” Denki yells, banging on the door.
Denki grabs the door handle, finding it unlocked. He makes a noise of triumph and throws the door open dramatically. It bangs on the wall loudly from the force.
Denki saunters into the barely lit room. “Come on man, wake up, I- Oh, come on man! Are you really jerking off?” He grimaces, turning around when he sees the faint outline of Mineta lying on his bed, Hentai in hand.
Really? If he wanted to finish, he could have just told him. Not let him stand there while the food gets cold. Not cool.
Denki waits for Mineta to tell him to leave. To make some perverse comment or get out of bed. But nothing happens. There are no sheets shuffling. No noises that would signal someone jerking off. Mineta’s not saying anything, either.
Denki’s brows furrow in confusion. He puts a hand over his eyes, turning towards Mineta. He slowly moves two of his fingers off his eyes and finds- nothing.
He can see the outline of Mineta under his blanket. He’s holding a closed Hentai magazine, but he seems to be sleeping still.
How is he not awake yet? Denki literally threw the door open with as much force as he could.
Denki turns and feels along the wall for the light switch. When he finds it, he flips the switch, eyes squinting from the sudden influx of light that burns his eyes. He blinks frantically for a second before squinting in Mineta’s direction.
7:11 PM
Denki gasps, a hand raising to cover his mouth in shock. Now that the light is on, he can see the dark brownish-red stain covering most of Mineta's blanket. Denki shakily steps forward, almost gagging as the stench of iron fills his nostrils.
He slowly reaches for Mineta’s hand, shivering at how stiff and cold it is. Fighting back tears, he checks Mineta’s pulse, even though he’s pretty sure there won’t be one.
As expected, there isn't one.
Denki drops Mineta’s hand, backing away. He stands there in shock, staring at his classmate's pale face, panicking and unsure of what to do. His breath quickens as tears finally leak from his eyes.
Denki turns and runs. Harmless sparks fly from his skin as he tries to get as far away from the scene as he can. He frantically presses the button for the common room once he reaches the elevator.
Denki sobs in relief as the elevator doors close and start to descend. By the time the elevator doors open, he’s gagging, the putrid scent of iron and death stuck in his mind.
Denki runs past classmates on his way to the kitchen. He ignores them, though, instead grabbing the nearest trashcan and vomiting into it.
“Oh hey, I’m eating-”
“Gross!”
“Wow, Kamibro, you good dude?”
“Did he get what Mineta has?”
"Nah, he probably saw Mineta jerkin' it."
The mention of his now-dead classmate has flashes of a blood-soaked blanket flashing in his mind, making him vomit again. Various concerned sounds are heard as he neals over the trash can, sobbing.
“Someone get Aizawa-Sensei!”
There’s shuffling behind him as his classmates immediately act. Several of them run to go get their Sensei. Two sets of hands are next to him, rubbing on his back and murmuring things he can't hear. He recognizes their voices, though.
His girlfriends, Momo and Kyoka.
They hand Denki a water bottle so he can wash his mouth out. He does so, crying and blubbering uselessly.
Suddenly, there are hands on his face, and he finds himself looking into familiar tired eyes.
Aizawa-Sensei’s mouth moves, and it takes a second for the words to register in his mind.
“I need you to breathe, okay? Follow me. In. Out. In. Out. There we go.”
Denki manages to nod, following the exaggerated breaths his Sensei is making. Slowly but surely, his heart rate calms. He may be free of a panic attack, but he's still crying when he finally gains the wherewithal to point to the ceiling and mutter. “He’s dead.”
Everything is silent.
Denki looks up to see if they heard him, and finds everyone staring.
“What?” Sensei asks, alarmed.
“There was so much blood,” Denki whispers, tears streaming down his cheeks as he stares blankly at the floor. Sparks fly from his skin before they disappear completely, his quirk erased.
“Where?” his Sensei questions.
“Mineta’s dorm. There was so much blood all over him. He wasn’t moving. S-so I checked his pulse an-and there was-there was nothing.”
The students of 1-A look at each other in horror.
Mineta’s dead.

9:30 PM
“Thank you for coming on such short notice, everyone.” Nezu greets, watching the teachers settle into chairs. Tsukauchi is sat next to him, files and empty paper cups littered around him.
“What’s this for?” Asks Yamada, shooting a concerned glance at Aizawa. The man is rubbing his face tiredly as he looks over files. The bags under his eyes look like permanent fixtures at this point.
Nezu frowns, a somber expression on his face.
“Minoru Mineta was murdered.” Tsukauchi addresses the teachers, finally looking up from the file he was reading.
The teachers gasp and pale. Yagi coughs up blood.
Yamada stands and hugs Aizawa, stroking his husband's hair. He knows how much this must hurt for him. Aizawa loves his class, no matter how much he denies it.
“Are the rest of the kids okay?” Kayama asks Nezu, a worried frown on her face.
Nezu nods. “They are not hurt.” He reports. Kayama sighs in relief, releasing the death grip she had on her whip.
“Physically, at least. There will most likely be some mental scars. It’s not every day that a classmate is murdered.” Nezu continues, beady eyes scanning the teachers.
“They’ll be having some mandatory therapy sessions with you Inui. Especially Kaminari. He was the one that found Mineta.” Aizawa informs Inui with a tired voice.
Nezu places his paws together in an imitation of a clap. “Alright! Let's go over what we found.”
“Eraserhead, can you start us on the case while I hand these out?” Tsukauchi prods, picking up a pile of files.
Present Mic sits down in his chair, placing a hand on Eraserheads thigh and squeezing in silent comfort.
Eraserhead leans back in his chair, sighing. “There was a message from Mineta’s phone at 12:33am stating that he was sick and to not expect him in class. When he didn’t show up for dinner, Kaminari was tasked with going to Mineta’s dorm and retrieving him. Kaminari knocked on Mineta’s door and waited. When there was no answer, he checked the door, finding it open. The lights were off, so he didn’t find anything unusual at first. But when he turned the light on, he found his classmate’s dead body.”
“Poor boy,” Vlad whispers.
Eraserhead glares at the interruption before continuing. “Kaminari then checked Mineta’s pulse. When he found nothing, he freaked out and ran back to the kitchen where the rest of the class was having dinner. What Kaminari had witnessed caused him to vomit. Iida, Midoriya, and Kirishima ran to get me while Yaoyorozu and Jirou tried to calm Kaminari down unsuccessfully. When I arrived, Kaminari was having a panic attack. I went through a breathing exercise with him."
He clears his throat. "Once calm enough to talk, he informed me of what he saw. After I stopped the class from checking for themselves, I called Nezu and Tsukauchi.” Eraserhead throws the file down, looking around at the somber faces of his colleagues.
Tsukauchi reads from his own file, picking up where Eraserhead left off. “After the team arrived to examine the crime scene, I interrogated the students- Didn’t ask many questions, of course, but I had to ask if any of them committed the murder. They all said no, which was true.”
Tsukauchi pauses, taking a long sip of coffee from his current paper cup. He rubs his eyes before he continues. “We called the student's parents and got them picked up. Once they were all gone, the paramedics took Mineta’s body so the autopsy could be done.”
Tsukauchi flips a few pages. “They were able to determine Mineta died at exactly 12:30 am. There were no signs of struggle on his body. His neck was slit, but they also had found that his- uhm-”
Tsukauchi grimaces, looking entirely done with his life. “There’s no other way to say this- Mineta’s penis was cut off too.”
Several of the pro Heroes wince.
Tsukauchi continues, somehow sounding more tired. “If you look in the files I gave you, you can see from the crime scene photos that his body was covered, and he had a porn magazine in hand. There are no guesses as to why his body was set up like that.”
Tsukauchi puts the file down, “Any questions?”
“Are there any clues from the crime scene as to who did this?” Cementoss asks, raising his hand.
Hound Dog nods. “I helped go over the scene. There were random drops of blood on the floor and walls- ruff, probably from when his neck was slit. Which means he wasn’t killed while lying down. There was also a strong smell of dust.”
Present Mic gasps. “Didn’t you say Shigaraki smelled strongly of dust?”
Hound Dog nods. “When surveying the scene- ruff, I also found a note and a picture taped to the back of Mineta’s door. The picture is of class 1-A, taken earlier in the year for picture day. There’s a red ‘X’ over Mineta’s face.”
Nedzu turns on a projector, showcasing the evidence found. The note with Mineta’s name on it has blood smudged along the sides. The killer no doubt planted the note after the murder took place.
Nedzu zooms in, and Hound Dog reads the message.
Minoru Mineta.
It seems one of your precious herolings has been murdered. Oh no! Well, good thing it was one no one likes, right? My question, though, is why is the brat there at all? Isn’t he a pervert?
Anyways.
It was pretty fun to kill this heroling. Laughably easy to take out the little pervert, too. How does it feel that one of your students was killed right under your nose, All Might? Must be pretty humiliating that you didn't even notice it, huh?
Love, the League of Villains
“They’re mocking us,” Yagi says through clenched teeth, speaking up for the first time.
“Maybe so, but we need to keep a level head about this.” Nezu orders seriously. “Now, I’m pretty sure the reason they did this was to hit All Might where it hurts. The students.”
Nezu’s eyes glint, a fire in his eyes at the thought of his students getting hurt.
“Why did you send the students home if they’re in danger?” Midnight questions angrily.
“We have Pro Heroes patrolling around their houses. They should be safe for now. In the meantime, we can prepare a safe house for them.” Nezu informs her patiently.
Eraserhead frowns. “We need to up UA’s security. They were able to get in without us knowing. This already happened once before. It can’t happen again.”
Midnight huffs, sitting back down. “We upped the security the first time. How on earth were they able to get in this time?” She questions.
Nezu pulls a remote out of nowhere. A hologram appears on the wall and the lights in the room dim. “I went through the cameras around UA. There was nothing on most, but I was able to find this on one of the cameras stationed near Heights Alliance.”
The video starts.
12:28 AM
From the camera, there is a clear view of Mineta’s dorm through the window. Mineta's back is to the window as he ruffles through a drawer.
A purple portal appears behind him, and a figure in all black walks out from it. They are undetected by Mineta as he continues searching for something.
The figure pulls a knife from a black bag on their back as they stalk up behind Mineta. Then, they ruthlessly slit his neck.
12:30 AM
The figure grabs Mineta before he can fall, picking him up and placing him on the bed. The figure pauses, seeming to think about something. Then, do something unseen with the knife.
They pick up Mineta’s phone off the bedside table, their gloves smearing blood on it. They shake their head, before typing something and tossing the phone back where they found it.
The figure pulls the picture and note out of the bag and tapes it to the door. They wipe their gloved hand on the blanket as they look around the room. They perk up and walk towards the drawer Mineta was searching through earlier.
They pull something out of the drawer before walking toward the body and placing whatever they took out of the drawer on the body.
The figure stands back and tilts their head, seemingly admiring their work. They pull out a phone from their bag and send a text.
A minute later, another portal appears. The figure turns off the light in Mineta’s room, leaving only a purple glow in the room.
Seconds later, the room is left in total darkness.
