Work Text:
Jimmy wakes up, slowly blinking the sleep from his eyes, the soft pitter patter of rain on the window next to the bed a soothing sound.
He yawns quietly, removing his left hand from where he had it wrapped around Tango’s sleeping body in front of him.
He rubs his eye, a few reflexes tears slipping down his face.
Instead of putting his hand back, he starts slowly carding it through Tango’s silky blond hair.
He closes his eyes and thinks of what he has to do today.
It’s a Saturday and they have nothing planned.
A perfect rainy day.
He pulls his hand away to cover another yawn.
“ -n’t stop.” Tango mumbles.
“Aww, you like it?” Jimmy says, a smile evident in his voice.
“Imm himm.” Tango hums, nodding his head.
“You hunger mate?” Jimmy asks.
“No.” Tango says, snuggling his back closer to Jimmy’s chest, tangling their already tangled legs more.
Tango’s stomach immediately growls after he stops moving.
“You sure?” Jimmy says, chuckling lightly.
“fine.” Tango says, “I lied.”
“Good.” Jimmy says, “and how do pancakes sound?”
“Amazing.” Tango says.

Jimmy is flipping the last pancake when Tango walks out of the bathroom, clothes changes and a towel in hand as he dries his hair.
Tango puts the now damp towel into the dirty laundry hamper, and sits down at the kitchen counter, on one of the bar stools.
Jimmy puts the last pancake on the small stack he created and turns off the burner of the stove.
He grabs the plate with the pancakes and sets it on the table.
He looks at his boyfriend and sees him holding a tissue, and blows his nose.
“Oh, are you sick?” Jimmy asks.
Tango throws the tissue in the trash by the counter.
“Naw.” Tango says, and now Jimmy can hear his has that voice people get when they have a stuffy nose, “Just a stuffy nose,” he says, “that’s all.”
“You sure?”
“ ‘m fine rancher.” Tango says, “probably just spring allergies.”
“Alright.” Jimmy says, turning around to pull two plates from the cupboards. He sets the planets down, grabbing utensils, before setting them down. He fills a cup of water for him and one for Tango, putting the latter's in front of him, before sitting down himself, on Tango’s right, on one of the bar stools.
Tango grabs himself a pancake, and Jimmy grabs himself one too.
Jimmy cuts off a piece of his pancake, and takes a bite. The sweet flavor of blackberry chocolate chip pancakes makes him smile (they are after all Tango’s favorite as his own).
After he swallows the food he says, “you know it’s a rainy day, perfect to watch a movie with the people you love.”
“You're right.” Tango says, before turning his head away from the food in front of them, and sneezes into his left elbow.
“I think you might have hay fever.” Jimmy says, taking another bite of food.
“I think you're right.” Tango says.
“Yup.”
“You want to pick the movie?” Tango asks.
“Sure.” Jimmy says, “how does a spider man marathon sound?”
“Are we going to watch Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfiled, or Tom Holland?” Tango asks.
“I was thinking all three, but starting with the oldest of the three up till ‘no way home’.” Jimmy says.
“Sounds perfect.” Tango says, taking a bite of his pancake, “these are so good.” he comments.

They only made it through Spider man one, and half of the second movie before Tango fell back asleep.
Tango is now laying on the couch, his head on Jimmy’s lap as the taller boy runs his hand through the shorter’s hair as he sleeps, a smile on his face, movie forgotten.
