Work Text:

Ajax watched from afar as his brother and the traveler finally exited the abandoned factory. As much as he wanted to follow them, his body simply wouldn't allow for it. He felt as though every ruin guard he had taken down using his Delusion all piled on top of him, effectively crushing the life out of him.

...He really needs to learn his lesson about overusing Foul Legacy. If he continued to put himself out if commission, how would he spar with the traveler every week?

But right now, he was too tired to even think, let alone move. He found himself slowly succumbing to unconsciousness, his head lolling lifelessly against the wall. Any attempts to move his limbs were met with more dizziness and resistance from his aching body. His vision faded slowly, until he could see nothing but black. Maybe if his ears weren't ringing so much, he would've heard the footsteps approaching his worn-out form.

"Well... what do we have here?"

Ajax's eyes shot open as he jolted from his doze. He attempted to bite back a groan as his vision swam and his head ached from the sudden movement. It took him about five more seconds to make sense of his surroundings before his gaze found that of a familiar shade of blue and a rather intimidating mask. Of course, he had to show up now, of all times...

"Overdone it again, have we?" The Doctor asked with the faintest hint of a threat in his honeyed voice. Chills shot down Ajax's spine.

"What are you doing here...?" Ajax croaked, cringing at how weak his voice sounded. The Doctor crouched down to be eye (technically mask) level with Ajax. He could practically smell a lecture coming, and yet he couldn't suppress a faint sense of fear at his hostility.

"Have you already forgotten that this is my factory?" He spat venomously, roughly grabbing a patch of Ajax's hair. Much to his dismay, he made a rather embarrassing squeak. "And yet, you and your band of fools decided to break in and destroy my property."

Ajax opened his mouth to respond, in protest or explanation he wasn't sure, but only ended up doubling over in a coughing fit.  He could faintly hear The Doctor groan in annoyance, mumbling something that sounded awfully like, "They'll really let anyone become a Harbinger these days..."

But at least he let go of his hair.

Finally, Ajax's coughing subsided. He gazed back up towards The Doctor, who was furiously pushing buttons on a strange device that Ajax couldn't be bothered to question. Eventually, he shoved the device back into his front pocket and yanked Ajax from the floor by his elbow, ignoring the cry of pain that tore its way from his throat.

Ajax was ashamed to say he almost vomited all over The Doctor's white coat.

"Let's go," he said, placing his left hand on his back and throwing Ajax's right over his shoulder to support him. He made it about five steps before collapsing into a crumpled heap on the floor. The Doctor didn't even bother to catch him. Instead, he simply sighed and took out the device from before. Just before Ajax passed out, he could barely make out the other's voice, commanding someone over the device.

"...is he really the only one available? Ugh..."

"...send Epsilon over to my facility in Liyue, and be quick with it..."

And then, nothing.

.

.

.

Ajax awoke slowly, his head cloudy and vision foggy. He attempted to move his legs, but... why were they floating? A confused hum accompanied a groan as a wave of nausea washed over him. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to focus on the warmth on his left side, clutching someone's collar for support...

Wait, what?

He noted that he was being carried by someone, judging from the slight bounce with every step, and the fact that their arms were currently wrapped around him. But, who...?

"Well, look who's awake," They purred. He glanced up at... Dottore? No, it couldn't be... the man's voice sounded younger, and a bit softer. His hair was a more vibrant shade of blue and was longer, reaching his shoulders. And most importantly, he wasn't wearing a mask, his bright red eyes seemingly staring into Ajax's soul.

(Ajax briefly noted that this man was very, very handsome)

Despite his body's protests, he forced himself fully awake. He blinked blearily at the face staring down at him. If his brain wasn't so slow to catch up, he's sure he would've screamed and jumped out of the man's arms. Because of course, he was being carried full bridal-style. A faint blush creeped onto his cheeks.

"Who the hell are you?" He managed to force out. The man chuckled, his voice smooth and melodic.

"Don't tell me you have amnesia and a fever, Tartaglia," a familiar voice laughed behind him. Ajax whipped his head around; met with The Doctor he had seen earlier.

"D-Dottore? Why does this guy look like-"

"Because he is me halfwit," His smooth voice interrupted. "Don't tell me you weren't aware of my segments? No wonder you're the eleventh."

Ajax chose to ignore that last bit. "S-segments?"

"Don't worry your pretty head about it," The Doctor carrying him remarked. "You should be sleeping off that nasty fever. And before you ask any more stupid questions, we're heading back to Snezhnaya. And no, we won't be informing the Tsaritsa of your little... adventure."

Well, that's a relief.

"Uh huh," Ajax mumbled, already nodding off. He returned his head to its position on the other Doctor's collar, and for the second time, allowed his eyes to fall shut. As he drifted off, he could've sworn he felt a gloved hand playing with his hair.

Ajax was asleep for a long time after that.

He managed to crawl his way back to consciousness briefly a few times, enough to register being placed into a makeshift bed on some sort of transportation device, and again when The Doctor who carried him placed him onto a cold table, followed by The Doctor he was familiar with.

The last time, however, he must've been seeing things.

He was laid in a hospital bed and was jostled awake by the painful sensation of an IV placed into his arm by The Doctor. Except... there were 2 other Doctors standing behind him. And when he turned his head, convinced he was going crazy, there were 3 more standing above him. One looked like to be in his early twenties, although Ajax couldn't tell with his strange mask, which wasn't like The Doctor's at all. The other a teenager, dressed in what Ajax recognized to be Akademiya robes. And finally, the one that carried him earlier, gazing down at him with such intensity Ajax had to suppress a shiver.

"He looks like he's seen a ghost!" The teenager declared.

Ajax passed out again, but this time, it was most likely due to shock.

.

.

.

Finally, he managed to bring himself back to full awareness. Ajax woke to find himself in an unfamiliar room, lying on a hospital bed. The first thing he noticed was the IV drip in his arm. The second, however...

"Hello there, Tartaglia."

He jumped what must've been 10 feet in the air. He didn't even notice that The Doctor was standing right next to his bed. His presence alone was menacing enough to make the hairs on Ajax's neck stand up... (He really wanted to fight him someday).

But there was something else he wanted to find out more. Did Dottore have multiple clones of himself, or was Ajax experiencing some sort of fever-induced hallucinations?

"How long was I out?" He asked instead.

The Doctor hummed in thought. "About a day or so."

Ajax internally groaned. He still had to take care of Teucer who must still be with the traveler, and he needed to pack up his things left in his hotel room to return back to Snezhnaya.

"I appreciate your, um, assistance, Doctor, but I really need to head back to the port," Ajax said, reaching to tear the IV out of his arm, only to be stopped by a gloved hand.

"You really don't remember? You're back in Snezhnaya already."

"Huh? But all my stuff-"

"Don't worry. I sent a segment to retrieve it for you."

A segment? Ajax was sure The Doctor said something about "segments" in some past meeting, but Ajax always had a short attention span. Eventually, though, it clicked. Ajax's face flushed about as red as his hair when he remembered how he was carried like a newlywed by a particularly good-looking segment.

"W-wait, so I wasn't hallucinating a whole bunch of you's?" He stuttered.

The Doctor laughed, a low, threatening sound. "I see you weren't fully informed of their existence, even though I'm certain I've mentioned them countless times in the past. Put simply, I created clones of myself at different stages of my life. The one you met was Epsilon. He represents me at around 24 years old."

Ajax must've looked at him like he had ten heads.

"So... how many are there?"

"Seven." The Doctor leaned in closer, causing Ajax to slightly shrink into himself. "I'm sure they'll be delighted to see you've recovered. The Doctor laughed in that frightening way one last time before quietly exiting the room; It almost felt like no one was ever there in the first place.

Something about the way the man said the last part didn't sit well with him.

Anyways, Ajax wasn't about to lie in bed all day (especially one that was definitely in The Doctor's lab), so he ripped the IV out of his arm and paused. Where were his clothes? He was in a hospital gown and completely nude under. His cheeks burned for what seemed like the millionth time at the thought of The Doctor undressing him.

Fortunately, his clothes were folded neatly on a table next to the bed. Ajax dressed quickly and left the room as quietly as possible.

He just hadn't expected The Doctor's lab to be so large.

Upon exiting his room, he was met with countless other rooms and doors and tables and vials- you get the point. It seemed almost like a maze in which every room looked the same. Ajax decided to test his luck and ducked into some random door, praying it would lead him to the exit.

His heart dropped as the first thing he saw when entering the room was that damn mask.

"Oh? What are you doing out of bed, dear?" The honeyed voice cooed. Ajax tilted his head in confusion. This guy sounded too... horny to be The Doctor.

"You're... a segment, right?" He managed to choke out. The clone smiled and giggled.

"Correct~!  Just so you don't get mixed up, I'm called Delta." Ajax stiffened as the segment took his hand and held it with both of his. This guy wasn't like The Doctor at all! Did he get off on making Ajax uncomfortable? "You don't feel too warm anymore, that's good!"

How could he tell with gloves on?

"Uh-huh," Ajax attempted to remove his hand, but Delta had him in a vice-like grip. "I'd really like to head back home now, so if you don't mind-"

"No." Delta deadpanned.

"Wha-"

Ajax yelped as Delta lifted him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and began to carry him back to his room.

"Hey! What the fuck?! Put me down!"

"Sorry, Doctor's orders! You're supposed to stay on bedrest 'til you're well~"

Ajax attempted to push at the segment but quickly came to the realization he wasn't budging. "But I'm fine!" He whined, not caring how childish he sounded. Delta only cooed, effortlessly gliding through the maze's doors despite Ajax's struggling.

"If you want, I can keep you company~"

"Um, that's not necessary!" Ajax practically squeaked. Damn, why'd he have to say it like that? Further proof The Doctor(s) gets off on making him squirm!

Finally, Delta pushed open the door to a familiar room and Ajax sighed internally. He had given up on trying to weasel his way out of the other man's arms- the segment was inhumanly strong.  Ajax was gently laid back onto his bed. He felt his cheeks grow hot as Delta's fingers lingered way too long, tracing up and down his body. The segment only hummed.

"Since you're so adamant about leaving before your discharge, I think it would be wise to provide you with some... company, to ensure this doesn't happen again," Ajax trembled slightly at Delta's implications.

"I don't need a babysitter," He spat, attempting to sit up, only for a firm hand to push him back down. Delta grinned wide, showing off his sharpened teeth.

(Ajax was definitely not thinking about their other uses)

"Unfortunately, you've proven that you can't be trusted alone... perhaps you would be more comfortable with someone else?" Delta pouted slightly, an unfitting look for a face like his. It was a surreal experience for Ajax to see The Doctor acting so childish. Ajax found himself unable to respond. Delta sighed.

"I'll take that as a yes then. You wound me, Tartaglia," Delta attempted to sound upset, but he really couldn't get rid of his teasing tone. He exited the room, but not before a pointed look back at Ajax. His ominous grin was seared into Ajax's brain. He couldn't help but breathe a small sigh of relief once Delta left.

His solitude was momentary, however, as another segment walked into his room, grumbling something that sounded like "so incompetent, just because I'm the youngest..."  Just like when Ajax had seen him before, he was dressed in Akademiya robes and didn't look to even be old enough to drink. His red eyes were spared the eyebags the others bore, and he practically glowed with youth. Even though his face was twisted into a scowl, Ajax didn't feel the same sense of hostility he picked up from The Doctor himself and other segments.

Put short, if angels existed, Ajax believed this man would be one of them.

"Stop staring, weirdo."

Still the same nasty personality as The Doctor, however.

The segment made his way over to a chair near the door and opened the book in his hands. The cover was in a language Ajax couldn't recognize. The silence was really uncomfortable, and Ajax didn't like to sit still for so long.

"So, um," Ajax cleared his throat. The segment glanced up. "Do you go to the Akademiya? You're wearing the uniform and all...?"

"Not currently. I'm Dottore from when he attended the Akademiya. My build's name is Eta, but everyone just calls me Zandik."

"Zandik? Is that The Doctor's real name?"

Zandik scoffed, not even looking up from his book. "Yeah, but the Tsaritsa decided Dottore fit him better. I can't say I agree. All of us segments just call him Prime."

Ajax decided to test his luck with this segment. "Will you please let me-"

"No."

"I didn't even-"

"No."

"Ugh!"

An awkward silence filled the room. Zandik seemed pretty inclined to ignore his existence.

"How old are you?" Ajax decided to ask. The segment's bright red eyes practically burned into him.

"Physcially, I'm 17. But I've been around for way longer than that," Zandik responded.

"So-"

"Stop talking. I don't want to hear your voice. Do you want a book or something?" Ouch. Zandik wasn't like any of the other Doctors. This guy was really just a moody teenager.

"What book are you reading? I don't recognize the language?"

Instead of getting annoyed like Ajax expected, Zandik actually brightened up a bit. "Hm. No one usually cares what I do," He closed the book and made his way over to Ajax's bed.

"It's written in Vedanagari Script, an old Sumeru writing style, mostly used by the people of the desert. It was very prominent hundreds of years ago, though no one really knows how to read it anymore. I do, though." Zandik explained. Ajax noticed his eyes seemed to glow about when he was discussing things he was passionate about.

"You can really read that? What's the book about?"

Zandik grinned, revealing his sharp teeth. However, his grin wasn't that of threat, as the other Doctors were. He sat down next to Ajax, much to his surprise, and held out the book for him to see.

"Put simply, it's about old Khaenriahn technology and mechanisms, like ruin guards. The Akademiya banned this book a long time ago, but I managed to snag a copy."

The duo lost track of time discussing the various topics including Sumeru's rich culture, the Akademiya, and the book itself. Ajax mostly asked questions, which Zandik seemed happy to answer. For 17, he really was extremely intelligent. Ajax noticed his educated speech patterns and his wide array of knowledge despite his previous animosity. It's really no surprise that he was an Akademiya student.

At some point, the two ended up poring over the images in the book, with Zandik explaining everything Ajax couldn't read. He barely even noticed when Zandik's head rested on his shoulder for a better view. All he felt was cold.

"Woah, you're freezing!" He exclaimed. Zandik only looked at him like he was stupid.

"Well, yeah. Even though I'm alive in a sense, I'm not human. The closest thing to describe me would be a cyborg, but even that's far off," Zandik explained, taking one of Ajax's hands in his. "You, however, are very warm."

Zandik wasn't wearing gloves like the other Doctors. His hands were smooth and pale, gently caressing Ajax's fingers. He didn't dare to move his hand away. Zandik continued to hold his hand as he turned his attention back to the book, either unaware or ignoring Ajax's brain short-circuiting.

Ajax had always run hot, so he couldn't deny the segment's touch felt nice. Zandik returned his head to Ajax's shoulder, and Ajax rested his cheek onto Zandik's head. He found it hard to believe The Doctor could ever be so gentle, even when he was young.

"Zandik?"

A hum in response.

"Do you know when I'll get discharged?"

"Hm. Whenever Prime comes back to check on you, probably. But who knows, he seems to have taken a liking to you. And he has a habit of playing with his food." Zandik cackled like he had just told a funny joke.

That did absolutely nothing to ease Ajax's nerves. If Zandik felt him squeeze his hand tighter, he didn't mention it.

They sat in a comfortable silence, and for once, Ajax actually didn't feel like jumping out of his skin in the presence of The Doctor. He figured it was because of how close they were in age- Zandik being 17 and him being 19.

Ajax was snapped out of his thoughts when Zandik placed his cold hand on his forehead. Ajax couldn't help but slightly lean into his touch, closing his eyes. He briefly wondered why Zandik was so cold while Epsilon was so warm.

"You still have a small fever, so that explains your unnatural warmth," Zandik said, pulling his hand away. Ajax whined at the loss of relief.

"Your hand is like an icepack," He sighed.

"Well, you're practically a furnace," Zandik retorted. "I can't deny it feels nice, though. Segments are programmed to ignore things such as pain or extreme weather conditions, but that doesn't mean we can't feel it. Snezhnaya is fucking freezing normally, and compared to Sumeru..."

Ajax hummed in response, his cheek resting on Zandik's head.

"I have an idea..."

Zandik's "idea" involved Ajax lying back on the bed, his arms wrapped around Zandik and his face buried in his chest. Zandik similarly was hugging Ajax, basking in his warmth. It was a little awkward considering Ajax was a fair bit taller than the other, but it was the best Ajax had felt in a while.

His eyes drooped when Zandik's hand found its way to the back of his head. What was it with the segments and his hair?

"Your hair reminds me of the flames from torches in those abandoned temples deep in the desert," Zandik sighed, answering his unspoken question. "I could take you to see them someday. Their beauty and mystique are utterly unmatched to anything I've ever seen in Snezhnaya."

As Zandik continued reminiscing on the Sumeru desert, Ajax could feel himself drifting to sleep, sighing softly as Zandik-

SLAM!

Both Ajax and Zandik yelped and shot up at the sudden noise.

The door was slammed open by, of course, another segment. This one looked slightly older than Zandik, but Ajax couldn't really tell with his mask which only left a view of his eyes and a portion of his mouth. He also had a rather... eccentric outfit, compared to the others.

"Zand~ik! What did Prime say about fraternizing with his patients?"

He also had a lot of energy compared to the rest, too. He practically bounced over to Ajax's bed, tearing Zandik out of his arms, who landed on the floor with a thud. This was followed by a long string of swear words, some of which Ajax hadn't even heard of before.

"Fuck off, Zeta! Delta said I'm watching him!" Zandik protested. Zeta only giggled and wiggled his finger in the way a parent would do discipline a child.

"Well, Gamma said he's gonna burn your book collection if you don't report to his chambers immediately! I think you're in trouble~"

Zandik's face grew as red as his eyes as he darted towards the door, swearing all the while. Just before taking off down the hallway, he glanced back at a dazed Ajax, muttering a small, "See you later, Tartaglia."

And then he was off, and Ajax was left with a very energetic Zeta, who was grinning at him like a kid in a candy store. Ajax gulped.

"How are you feeling?" Zeta said, the back of his hand on Ajax's forehead. "I was totally lying about the Gamma thing by the way, isn't Zandik just so cute when he's mad?"

Without even waiting for a response, Zeta yanked the stethoscope off from around his neck and placed it on Ajax's chest. "I'm gonna check your vitals now. Deep breaths."

Ajax complied wordlessly, feeling dizzy from how quickly the segment was moving. Zeta completed checking his eyes, ears, blood pressure, and whatever else at an alarmingly quick pace.

"You're in perfect health! I'll tell Prime that we can get you out of here now!" Ajax nodded dumbly. This guy was... really strange.

"Your name is Zeta? Who's Gamma?" He asked.

"Gamma is another segment. I think he's like, 30, and he has a huge stick up his ass!" Zeta giggled. "I can see you're dying of curiosity; so you know, I'm around 20."

"Can I go home now?"

Zeta pouted. "The lab isn't that bad! You and Zandik seemed to be having a pretty good time~"

Ajax's cheeks grew hot. "I-it wasn't like that!" He stuttered while Zeta laughed, ruffling his hair. "Quit it!" Ajax tried to smack his hands away.

"Hm... I guess you're good to go... but I think Prime wants to see you one last time before you take off, kay?"

Ajax grumbled. "Fine. Where is he?"

"Not here!"

"WHAT?!" Ajax shouted. "Where in Teyvat is he then?!"

Zeta tapped his chin, seemingly lost in thought. "I'm sure he'll be back tomorrow~ but for now, it looks like you'll have to spend the night!" Ajax was about ready to punch him. If he had to spend one more second around these psychos (minus Zandik, he was chill), he might as well just jump back into the Abyss!

"...Seriously." He fell back onto his bed, covering his eyes with his hands. Zeta's hand found its way over to Ajax's torso, lightly tracing patterns into the fabric of his shirt.

"If you're bored, I can think of ways to pass the time~" Zeta leaned entirely too close to Ajax's face, his velvety voice sending shivers down Ajax's spine. This didn't go unnoticed.

"Wha- Ah!" Ajax yelped when Zeta's mouth found its way to his neck. He failed to suppress a moan as Zeta nipped at his collarbone. He could feel the segment's lips curl up around his neck. "Hng, q-quit it!"

Zeta ignored him, continuing to kiss Ajax's skin, which would surely bruise. Embarrassingly, Ajax whimpered when Zeta bit down particularly hard, sucking a bruise into his neck. His teeth made it hurt terribly, but Ajax couldn't deny it felt so good. His hand flew up to tug at Zeta's hair, but he wouldn't budge.

"H-ah... stop..." Ajax groaned. Zeta's eyes narrowed in a way that could only be described as predatory.

"But you're enjoying it~" The segment whispered into his ear. He wasn't exactly wrong; Ajax could feel blood trailing down his neck from where Zeta bit him, and that seriously went straight to his dick.

"I-"

"That's quite enough, Zeta." The assault on his neck instantly stopped as Zeta froze. A low growl escaped the segment's throat; Ajax felt a bit like a rabbit trapped between a wolf's claws.

"Can't you see I'm in the middle of something, Beta?" Zeta snarled, not sparing Beta a single glance. Ajax's head whipped towards his door, only to see a much older and much darker Doctor. With the way he was dressed, he could easily pass as Prime, but he was clearly a few years younger. However, he still held Prime's same suffocating aura.

"Leave," Beta commanded. "I won't ask again. I have orders from Prime."

Zeta stiffened, then sighed and crawled off of Ajax, who was still frozen to the bed. Just before leaving, the segment sent a wink back his way, causing his cheeks to burn. He needs to stop letting The Doctors get under his skin...

And then, he was alone with yet another Doctor.

"S-so, Beta, huh?" Ajax stuttered, searching to put an end to the tension in the room. He received no response. Beta only dragged the chair Zandik had sat in over to his bed and sat down, crossing his arms. Ajax swallowed thickly.

"Do me a favor," Beta's voice pierced through the silence. "Lay down and go to bed. I've had enough of these... children, today, and I'd rather we not have any conflict."

Ajax felt like he'd been punched in the gut. He found himself unable to speak, simply complying with Beta's harsh command. He didn't even bother with crawling under the covers; he'd only end up kicking them off anyways.

He managed to sit still for a whole 5 minutes. A personal record, really.

"Can I ask you something?" He finally questioned. Beta hummed in annoyance.

"Go ahead."

"The Doctor mentioned he had seven segments, but I've only met five and heard of one. Who's the seventh?"

Beta sighed and rubbed tiredly at his face. "I assume you haven't heard of Omega yet, then?" Ajax shook his head in a no.

"He's currently in Sumeru working on a... 'experiment'. It's nothing you need to worry about, so don't expect me to answer any questions about it."

"You guys are all from Sumeru, right? Your name sounds Sumerian. What does 'Zandik' mean anyways? It's a really pretty name-" He was interrupted by Beta roughly shoving his palm over his mouth, shutting him up.

"You talk too much." He growled. "If you don't shut up, I might have to take drastic measures." Ajax was shocked to hear the faintest hint of lust in his tone. He nodded as best he could with Beta still covering his mouth.

They fell back into silence. Ajax attempted to close his eyes a few times, but it just felt so awkward with Beta staring into his soul like that. Well, he actually didn't know where he was looking, but it felt like he was. Instead, he tilted his head to face the other side of the room, away from Beta, staring at the wall.

This was temporary, however, as tilting to the side gave Beta a better view of the mark Zeta had left on his neck.

Ajax jumped when a cold hand traced over the angry bruise. He attempted to move his head to face Beta, only to be lightly positioned back towards the wall. Beta seemed to grow more frustrated the longer he touched the wound.

"What I don't understand is why you let him do this to you," Beta scoffed. "Have you no self-respect?" Ajax was beginning to panic. When he panics, he has a nasty habit of saying things he most definitely shouldn't.

"W-well, isn't he technically you?" He attempted to joke. It wasn't landing. "S-so, didn't you do it to me?" Ajax realized he had made a mistake once Beta's hand fully closed around his throat, cutting off his oxygen. Ajax choked and struggled in his hold as Beta pinned him to his bed and got uncomfortably close to his face. He found himself unable to move, cold fear paralyzing him. Moments like these make him truly appreciate the massive power gap between him and the other Harbingers.

"Do you intend to die today?" Beta's presence weighed Ajax down so heavily he's sure he wouldn't be able to breathe even if he wasn't being suffocated. Beta only seemed amused at his writhing. "Hm... are you enjoying this Tartaglia?"

Yes. Yes, he was.

He hadn't felt such fear like this in a long, long time. To say it excited him would be an understatement. His face was flushed and his eyes unfocused, and it was not because of the lack of air flow.

Just as he was about to lose consciousness, Beta released him. Ajax doubled over, coughing and heaving, clutching his throat. Beta only laughed in that Doctor-esque way. The second Ajax recovered from Beta's attack, he found himself pinned to the bed, for the third time today, but this time by his hands.

"Well, look at that. That really did excite you, huh?"

Ajax's heart stopped at the implications. Dreadfully, he looked down towards his thighs, praying his fears weren't true.

Fuck. He was ridiculously and obviously turned on from Beta strangling him. He bit his lip to suppress a whimper as Beta's hands trailed over his clothed erection.

"Oh, do keep looking at me like that." Beta groaned. His hand found its way to the zipper of his pants, unzipping it painfully slow.

"W-wait-" Ajax gasped, only for his words to be swallowed up by Beta's mouth on his. He moaned desperately as Beta fully unclothed his leaking cock, teasing the tip with his fingers. Every attempt Ajax made to pull away from the kiss was met with Beta only pulling him in for more, more, and it was getting to be too much. He continued teasing his aching cock, not allowing Ajax any release.

"Beta," he whined. "Please, ah, please..."

Beta hummed, feigning cluelessness. "Please what? Use your words, Tartaglia."

"Mmn... touch me more..."

Beta slid his hand around the shaft, jerking his hand slowly. Ajax could only sigh and grind his hips upward in desperation. Beta rested his hand on his neck, as a threat to behave, leaning in for another bruising kiss. Ajax threw his arms around Beta's neck to pull him closer. The segment seemed to like that, judging from the way he could feel the segment smirk against his lips.

This wasn't enough, though. Beta purposefully moved his hand at far too slow a pace. Ajax supposed he liked having him beg.

"Faster, please... ahn~"

Ajax saw the way those teeth formed into that same smile he'd seen on all the others. He moved his hand faster, faster, and oh...

"Beta, 'm close..."

"That's it, Tartaglia," Beta sighed. "Cum for me, come on..."

Ajax threw his head back and came with a moan, which Beta almost instantly muffled with his lips. He continued to kiss him for a while, even though Ajax had already came. Not that he was complaining... Beta was a very good kisser. Ajax made a noise of displeasure when he finally pulled away, leaving him a panting mess.

"Would you say you're sufficiently worn-out, Tartaglia?"

Ajax nodded, still mostly out of it. Beta smiled.

"Good. I suppose you won't have any more complications falling asleep, yes?"

Another nod. Beta removed his ruined gloves and tossed them into a trashcan. Then, he resumed his earlier position in the chair. This time, however, Ajax closed his eyes with no complaints, and slowly but surely, he felt his consciousness fading.

.

.

.

He awoke to the familiar sight of The Doctor leaning over him.

Ajax didn't even jump this time. He had grown far too used to the guy's presence. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or bad.

"Finally awake? I'm sure you're dying to go home." The Doctor, who Ajax recognized as Prime, teased. Ajax nodded sleepily. He rubbed his eyes a few times to wake himself up before dragging himself out of the hospital bed.

"Wonderful! Epsilon delivered all of your things back to your place of residence, so you're good to go. I'll show you out."

The Doctor held out his hand for Ajax to take. He did so with great hesitation. The Doctor began to lead him out of the maze that was his laboratory.

"Did you enjoy your time with my segments?" The Doctor asked. Ajax stiffened. "From what I hear, you were a joy to have around."

Ajax gulped, not trusting himself with a response. He really hoped that was meant to be a rhetorical question. Ajax thanked the Tsaritsa it was over once The Doctor led him out of one last door and into the familiar halls of Zapolarny Palace. The Doctor's hand didn't linger for a moment longer.

"Feel free to swing by and pay us a visit any time, Tartaglia." The Doctor purred, before shutting the door. Ajax stared at it for a moment before turning away, questioning all his life choices. One thing he knew, however...

He was definitely not taking up The Doctor on that offer.
