“So how was your sleep?” Alden asked Sophie across the breakfast table, “did you enjoy all your mattresses?”
Alden was grinning at Sophie, this had to be a test, she debated lying and saying that she slept fine, but she knew it was obvious she hadn’t. The bags under her eyes were ginormous and she could barely stay awake.
“It was odd,” she started, and she saw Fitz beside her start to smile.
“I just couldn’t get comfortable last night,” she continued, “It was like I was sleeping on something.”
Fitz broke into a grin at that.
She had passed.
