Chapter Text
“Say it again.”
“I love you.”
He sighed.
Then he grinned. Giddy.
“Again.”
Chuckles.
“I love you.”
“Again.”
Finally, laughter.
“I love you, G’raha Tia. I love you so much my heart bursts when I see you.”, Loka dutifully repeated once again, angling his head so he could rub his horn against the soft, red furred ears in the auri show of endearment he had forgotten for so long. “And I’ll say it however often you want to hear the words, until you’re sick of it.”
“Never!”, G’raha gave back. “Slander!”
“Good.”
They giggled a bit more, wrapped around each other on the big bed down in Loka’s house in Ishgard, fire blazing in the corner, feeling absolutely drunk on happiness of being young and in love and knowing it to be reciprocated.
It had taken them long enough.
“Tone it down, will you, some people are trying to sleep.”
“Aw, Hades, don’t be a grouch.”, Loka gave back. “I love you, too.”
The Ancient had situated himself behind the Miqo’te, not quite as closely wrapped around the younger man, but with enough contact to qualify as ‘pressed against’, so however annoyed his words were intended to sound, Loka knew it to be only a front, and not meant from the heart.
“I desire to sleep.”, Hades grumbled into red hair while his hand was busy languidly carding through the soft fur of G’raha’s tail. “You may continue to be silly in the morning.”
“Methinks we tired him out.”, the Au Ra snickered.
“Don’t be mean, my Sun. He’s old.”
Bellowing laughter followed the statement as Loka couldn’t hold back his amusement at the blatant disrespect while Hades gasped with indignation and retaliated by biting the ear next to his face; G’raha flinched with a full body shiver which could have been discomfort but was probably more arousal.
“What have I gotten myself into.”, Hades groaned and turned belly down to hide his face in the pillow, making both G’raha and Loka laugh even more.
“A very tough situation, my heart. Being adored and loved by not one, but two people.”
“I remember being adored and loved quite differently.”
“Really?”
Golden eyes blinked sideways from the pillow, directed at Loka first, then wandering down to G’raha, who looked just a smidge shy and apologetic. He sighed, but then chuckled softly, rearranging his body so he was once again flush against the historian’s back.
“Forget I said anything. I’ll have my revenge someday.”, he said, with an air of certainty. “Now go on with your dilly-dallying, but do it quietly.”
With that, he closed his eyes again, taking a deep breath with his nose still buried in red hair and soft fur.
“... well then, my Sun. Do me the favour of repeating.”, G'raha whisper-chuckled, moving his tail a bit to his mid and taking Hades’ hand with it; the embrace was even closer, now, just as he liked it.
Loka huffed out a laugh. He bent forward to kiss the Miqo'te gently.
“I love you.”
Bliss.
Happiness.
The warmth of the sun, concentrated down into a series of letters.
“Again.”
