Chapter Text
Floyd felt like Rhonda had run over him ten times. Everything hurt and his body felt like lead.
His eyes fluttered open and all he saw was purple. He sat up and realized he was back in his diamond prison.
No! He escaped! He was sure he escaped. That can't have all been a dream!
"About time you woke up." The sinister voice of Velvet said to his right. Floyd slowly turned his head and there she was looking at him like he was some kind of treasure.
He backed up against the glass, trying to get away from her. This can't be happening. Floyd closed his eyes.
"This isn't real. You're back home with Asher and your brothers." Floyd said to himself. He opened his eyes again and Velvet was still looking at him with a smug smile.
"Oh it's real alright troll." Velvet said. "And as soon as BroZone gets here, I won't need you anymore. I need a spritz anyway."
Floyd panicked as the bottle was lifted up making him tumble into the walls.
The familiar pain of his talent being ripped from his soul made him scream out loud.
The bottle was slammed back down onto the vanity as Floyd tried to catch his breath. The last thing he saw before he lost consciousness was the evil smile on Velvet's face.

The next time he woke up the lights were bright and it took him a few minutes for his eyes to adjust.
When he was finally able to see, he noticed more perfume bottles sitting next to his. He was curious but also terrified of what he would find.
Slowly he stood up and walked to the edge of his bottle and couldn't help the sob that broke through the quiet.
John Dory, Bruce, and Clay were all crystallized inside their bottles. Theu looked peaceful. Their faces looked like they were just sleeping.
"No!" Floyd cried out. He jumped when he heard a cackle behind him. Spinning around he saw Velvet towering over him.
"They didn't have as much talent as you I guess." Velvet sneered. She shook another bottle that held a small troll. "Except this little guy. He put up an annoying fight. I'll let you say good bye before I take the rest of his talent."
Velvet put the bottle down in front of him. Timidly he approached the other bottle. At first he thought it was Asher because it was definitely a trolling.
"Floyd? What's going on? Everything hurts."
It was Branch but not just any Branch. It was the one he left behind. He was even wearing his leaf vest that was drowning his little body.
Floyd gasped. That's when he realized that none of this was real. He was dreaming. He sat down away from the dream Branch. He called out for Floyd but Floyd ignored him.
Closing his eyes he began slapping his face.
"Wake up Floyd." He told himself. Branch's cries got louder.
"Wake up Floyd!" He yelled. He needed to wake up. Who knows how long he's been sleeping.
"WAKE! UP!" Floyd shouted. There was a flash and the next thing he knew he was back in the endless white.

"No. Not here!" Floyd cried. He knew that being here meant he had died. He wanted to wake up, not die.
Floyd sobbed into his hands. He was a failure. He was worthless, just like Riptide, no Creek, had said.
"Don't think like that my Precious Gem."
Floyd jumped and turned around. There, floating in front of him, was his mother. She was as beautiful as he remembered. She had soft purple fur like Grandma Rosiepuff and the same magenta pink hair as him. With the same amethyst eyes as Floyd and Asher.
His mother, Misty Rose.
"Mom." Floyd breathed out. His voice barely above a whisper.
"Hi baby." His mom said with a soft smile. She opened her arms and Floyd flung himself at her. He hadn't felt his mother's embrace in years. It was warm, soft, and safe.
Floyd sobbed into her chest as she stroked his hair, calmly soothing him.
"You shouldn't be here Gem." Misty Rose said. "You should be with my grandbaby."
"I know." Floyd said through sobs. "I tried to wake myself up so I could go back to Asher. I ended up here instead, which means I died. Again."
"Well Clay has been praying for a miracle." Misty Rose said tilting Floyd face up to look at her. Floyd slowly calmed down enough for just tears to be falling and not be sobbing. He looked up into his mother eyes, waiting.
"Let's give him one." Misty Rose said brushing Floyd's fringe out of his eyes.
"What do you mean?" Floyd asked still clinging to his mother.
"I'm going to take all the pain away from what those....evil teens did to you. I'm going to be able to send you back." Misty Rose explained.
"How?" Floyd asked filled with hope and curiosity.
"It's called an angel's kiss." Misty Rose said. "It's somewhat of a myth. Basically you were saved by an angel. A miracle."
"You can do that?" Floyd said wiping at his eyes with one hand.
"Of course. I'm an angel am I not?" Misty Rose laughed and nuzzled their noses together, making Floyd laugh. "Although it won't change your appearance back to what it use to be, your pain will be gone. Your hair, feet, fingers, and the tips of your ears will remain white, but you'll get an extra mark from me, just here."
She placed a soft finger above his left temple slightly in front of his ear.
"It'll look like a scar but hardly noticeable." Misty Rose said using the same hand to cup his face. "I wish I could take away everything that....he....did too, but I can't. Now are you ready to home Gem."
Floyd nodded but then his eyes welled up with tears again. "I've really missed you Mom."
"I know dear. I've missed you too. I'll be waiting for you and your brothers. Just try not to be so early. You all have lovely lives ahead of you. Don't waste a second of it." Misty Rose said hugging Floyd tight.
"Can I tell them that I saw you?" Floyd asked his voice muffled against his mother.
"Sure you can. Just keep the angel's kiss a secret." Misty Rose said.
"Are you ready?" Misty Rose asked pulling Floyd back to look into his eyes.
"Yes." Floyd said pulling back from his mother.
Misty Rose tilted his head to the side and leaned forward.
"I love you Floyd. You and all your brothers. Tell Bruce he made me a grandmother too early and tell John, Clay, and Branch to take the leap." Misty Rose whispered into his ear before she kissed the place she had indicated to before.
Before Floyd could say 'I love you' back, he was falling through darkness.
