Summary
Following the less-than-amicable departure of Rhett Butler from his family along with the untimely death of Mrs. Melanie Wilkes, the now shattered family of Scarlett O'Hara must somehow adapt with the multitude of changes that has afflicted them: None more so than Scarlett's youngest and- now- only daughter, Ella Lorena Kennedy. Alone in the world with a mother who didn't care, a brother who simply could not be bothered, and a stepfather who valued his pride above all, Ella Kennedy must somehow adapt to the winds of change and discover who she is outside of her mother's all-consuming shadow. However, in learning about her place in the world and what she is capable of, young Ella must choose what is most important to her: Her family's image, or her happiness.
