After the accident Eamonn wants Remus and Sirius to be kicked out and pay for what they did
Sirius is properly punished for almost getting someone killed. Not in Azkaban though because that's too extreme but definitely punished
At the end and after much investigating, they allow Remus to remain but argue that he has to go somewhere further away during full moon, somewhere where he can't be running around, risking everyone and using Wolfsbane
Anya has her own little revenge with her friends' help
Wolfsbane is improved on fast because of this situation and the Princes' support
Remus feels indebted to the Princes because they pay for his Wolfsbane and help him get a job after he graduates, aware that he was being used by Dumbledore. He ends his friendship with the Marauders bc of this whole incident and merely thanks James for making sure he didn't kill Severus. (Also, he never marries Tonks in this version because the age difference is too weird for me)
James and Lily end up having an on again, off again relationship after this (and yes begging further and actually apologising to Severus humbly for everything) in the middle of the war. It's nothing too serious, more the desperation of war and fear and just being dumb kids, really. It ends up with them having Harry but even though Lily never trusts Dumbledore, James is foolish enough to still trust the former leader of the Light (like many other Gryffindors) and they both still die because of that
But Lily had asked Anya to be the godmother and to take care of Harry if something happened so everyone is made to think Harry was killed when Voldemort killed his parents.
Lily somehow managed to kill Voldy before dying, Harry is never marked and doesn't become a horcrux
Sev and Anya find Lily dead on Halloween (but a year earlier in this story, making Harry only a few months old) and escape with baby Harry. At the moment they're running on pure adrenaline but once they get back to Prince Manor and Yor is taking care of baby Harry, they have a breakdown. Damian and Rory are out (with Emma and some of the others) because there are Death Eater raids going on that they're protecting muggles from. Loid is bringing Silvia to help them because "they have to make the world think Harry Potter is dead" so Sev and Anya are left to comfort each other
Anya and Damian blood adopt Harry like Loid adopted her, change his DOB and rename him Evander "Evan" Damian Prince Desmond-Forger to protect him and as a reminder of Lily and to "keep the Prince tradition." He becomes Anya's Prince heir and can no longer be the Potter heir for safety reasons. Sev had still overheard the prophecy but so did Pettigrew in his animagus form. He told Voldemort but Sev obviously didn't see him spying on Dumbledore.
Evan (Harry) still has green eyes and black hair. Everyone thinks it makes sense that he has his mother's eyes and his father's hair which he very much indeed has, ironically enough.
Frank Longbottom ends up in the hospital from Bellatrix's attack but Alice manages to escape so Neville is raised by his mom and as a friend of Evan (Harry).
Pandora still dies but she knew about it beforehand (Dumbledore is somehow involved in the "accident" and asks her friends to be there for Luna. She gets raised with their kids. Becky is her godmother and absolutely dotes on her.)
Sev still becomes Potions Master but rather as an agent of WISE.
After Dumbledore is kicked out after the Remus incident, somehow with the help of Fudge and after Voldemort "dies", he gets reinstated
This causes Yor and Loid to stay at Hogwarts to protect the kids and although Dumbledore can't manage to fire them, he manages to force Yor out of the DADA position so she becomes the History of Magic teacher because it’s about time they have an actual teacher and not a ghost anyway and she has the support of the Board of Directors for it… (Cissy is definitely influencing her husband). She absolutely hates teaching History, though
Together, with Sev and Aurora (Rory), the new Astronomy teacher and Sev's wife, they work on protecting the kids at Hogwarts
Anya, Damian, Narcissa, and Becky work the political side to protect kids as much as they can. Narcissa finished studying wizarding law and basically tells Anya and Lucius how they should vote in the Ministry. Lucius is so besotted with his wife by this point that he allows her to do so. In the end, she even manages to steer him away from officially becoming a Death Eater, she points out Voldemort just a halfblood but what finally convinces him is her citing that she will refuse to have any child with him if he dares do that because she will not put any child of hers through that. She makes him think they just support Donovan Desmond, an actual pureblood instead. (Of course, with Damian's and Becky's help, Cissy and Anya have been playing Donovan and Demetrius and their followers like a fine fiddle to actually do what they want them to do.)
Anya and Damian have a daughter of their own that's a few years younger than Evan. They name her Eloise "Ellie" Anastasia Briar Desmond-Forger (named after Loid's mom) and she becomes the Briar Heir.
Evan (Harry) grows up being friends and cousins with Draco, who is nicer, thanks to Cissy and his older sister (who also grows up like Evan’s (Harry’s) cousin), but still a bit of brat (thanks to Lucius) and Tonks and Becky's kids, as well as the kids of their friends like Luna and Neville and others.
I like to think Anya insisted on sending the kids to muggle school (the only way of convincing Damian would be if they’re expensive and fancy, obvi) and Evan (Harry) met Hermione then and they became friends. From their influence, she knew better than to worship Dumbledore or Gryffindor House or befriending Ron Weasley (I’m sorry but her whole relationship with Ron was so toxic)
Of course Donovan is thrilled that three out of his five grandchildren, he thinks Evan (Harry) really is Anya's and Damian's child, are going to be heirs to three powerful Houses. They use it to their advantage though to get him to support them. How they convinced him Evan was there son, idk and idc, tbh
Regulus survives thanks to all the support he has now and that the Blacks decide to support Desmond instead of Voldy (except for Bellatrix, her fate remains the same).
He remains single for quite a bit and to everyone's surprise, he marries Emma Vanity. ( He actually had a crush on the older girl for years but was too shy to say anything. Was always in awe or her fierceness and kindness).
They have two kids: Cassiopeia and Aurelia. Cassi is the oldest and the heir bc Reggie ain't following that sexist bs.
Emile Elman married Lucinda Talkalot (she's actually a canon character, lol). It's an arranged marriage but they're mostly happy. They have a few of kids. Not as close to the rest of the gang anymore, but still get along mostly okay. Their kids are pretty good friends, though. Once they're all at Hogwarts.
Some next gen names:
Demetrius and Posy (nee Parkinson) Desmond's kids: Derrick (Slytherin but more like his uncle), Poppy (Ravenclaw), and Primrose (Slytherin). (Damian and Anya try to be supportive and a good, positive influence on their nephew and nieces. Their hard work pays off in the end.)
Blackbell-Egeburg kids: twins Regina Elodie (Slytherin) and Reinier Elias (Ravenclaw)
Severus' and Aurora's kids: Liliana “Anna” Eileen Sinastra-Prince (Ravenclaw) and Jacobo "Jack" Elloid Sinastra-Prince (Slytherin. Jacobo is a variation of the name James, funnily enough as the English name comes from the Hebrew name Jacob… It’s definitely in honour of James Potter as Rory insists they have to really, really make sure they’ve paid the life-debt)
Elman kids: Antonius (Eldest) and twins Lorelai and Lysander
Sorting for the rest of the next gen in case you want it:
Evan (Harry) - Slytherin
Ellie (Anya’s and Damian’s daughter) - Hufflepuff but like her grandma Yor, she’s as conniving as any Slytherin, as clever as any Ravenclaw and braver than any Gryffindor
Hyacinth Malfoy - Slytherin (perfect Slytherin princess like her mama and the apple of her father’s eye and grandfather Orion’s eye… they later complain Andy influenced her negatively… read the bit about the Weasleys to understand, lol)
Nymphadora Tonks, Neville and Luna remain in their OG houses which are Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Ravenclaw respectively
Draco - Ravenclaw (just, I love to imagine how pissed he would be not to be a Slytherin but he would never condescend to Gryffindor so this is for shits and giggles, especially since it would annoy him that his sister is a perfect Slytherin. He’s definitely smart enough for it though). Eventually he becomes kinda decent, still a spoiled brat, though. Is the Malfoy heir simply because Lucius is old-fashioned like that
Vanity-Black kids: Cassiopeia (Ravenclaw) and Aurelia (Slytherin)
Hermione - Slytherin (smart enough for Ravenclaw obvi, but that girl’s ambition screams Slytherin… Gryffindors and Slytherins are two sides of the same coin though, so her original sorting still makes sense). Maybe ends up with Evan (Harry)?
Elman kids: Antonius (Ravenclaw) and twins Lorelai and Lysander (both are Slytherins)
I feel like not all Weasley kids in this AU would end in Gryffindor. I like to think their Prewett uncles survived the war (altho were probably very injured) and they influenced the kids. (They have their own kids too but I won't include that here). Like, even if they were both Gryffindors, in my AU they actually get along with the Black sisters (and somewhat with Anya and her friends because of that), so they show the kids that you can be from different houses by that example. Plus, I made their dad a Ravenclaw in this AU anyway
Bill - Ravenclaw but almost a Gryffindor
Charlie - Hufflepuff
Percy - Ravenclaw but almost a Slytherin, he’s very ambitious but still hates the idea of being a Slytherin
Fred and George - Slytherin because they have that rebellious but clever nature about them
Ron - Gryffindor (wants to be different and unique to his brothers and although he could be a Slytherin because of that ambition and his tactical mind, when he wants to put in the effort, he fits Gryffindor just as well because of his other traits and never wants to be a Slytherin. Still very prejudiced and influenced by his mom)
Ginny - Gryffindor - everything about her screams Gryffindor
Out of the Weasley kids that manage to befriend the other kids it's mostly the Twins, Charlie, and Bill. I think Ginny would still be good friends with Neville and Luna and maybe even befriend Ellie but I'm not sure she would get along with the rest of them as well
Bill, Charlie, and Tonks are bffs and thick as thieves. Bill and Tonks are in the same year but different houses and Charlie is a year or two younger but in the same house as Tonks. (I am certain Molly was pregnant by the time she married Arthur Weasley, hahaha). I like the idea, though, that sweet, Hufflepuff, dragon-loving Charlie falls head over heels for Hyacinth who is like 2 years younger than him, if I calculated my maths right in my head, lol. Of course, Tonks would tease him endlessly for it. Somehow Hyacinth falls for him eventually too.
He never gets the courage to ask her out and when they're both in their 20s, Tonks gets drunk on a girls' night out and asks Hyacinth to put her out of misery bc Charlie has been in love with her since she was like 15 and has been making her annoyed and miserable since then. Hy hadn't realised he was extra nice to her bc he loved her bc he's so nice to everyone. She ends up asking him out, to Tonks' relief.
They make an odd couple bc she's so prim and proper like Cissy and he's a guy that runs around getting dirty with magical creatures. Lucius hates it, Cissy tells him he should be glad the guy is at least a pureblood, lol. She jokes with Andy that it's her fault.
Basically the plot is as follows: Voldy comes back with other horcruxes until the WISE firgures out the horcrux thing. He thinks Harry is dead and it's the adults that fight him each time he appears (similar to the plot). When they figure out Dumbledore knew about Horcruxes they report it to the Ministry, now officially controlled by the Desmond and Blackbell and other pureblood families (actually controlled by our little group). Dumbledore has to pay for these and other crimes like having child soldiers and our heroes work together and they eventually find and destroy all horcruxes and then kill Voldy. (Again, all done by adults)
