Give it to me!

Summary:

How long could you drive in a roundabout before a cop would be like, hey you can’t do that anymore.

Work Text:

Mycroft called and texted Greg many times without success. He even went to the Yard but he could not reach him. In his desperation he decides to keep driving around the roundabout knowing that must get someone’s attention. Of course the first to notice was Anthea, she called enquiring about his state of mind, offering to arrange a doctor’s appointment for his boss.

The next were the fellow drivers, honking at him angrily.

Finally, after many many rounds a police car arrived making him pull over.

“Happy now?” Greg exited the police car. “You have my attention.”

“Happy, indeed. I was starting to feel dizzy from going around.” Mycroft got out of the car as well.

“Mycroft,” Greg grunted.

“Apologies,” he whispered.

“So? What do you have to say for yourself?”

“I only wished to apologise for what I did. I’m sorry Gregory,”

“Are you?” he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

“Yes.”

“You do understand why am I angry,”

“I do.”

“I know you make way more money than me, that it is nothing to you but,” he put his hand up to stop Mycroft talking. “There is a difference between paying for fancy dinners or at the grocery store and this! It makes me feel like a kept woman…man.”

“I just wish to give you everything I can. Because you deserve the world for all that you do for me, for my family. You deserve only the best,”

“Mycroft,” Greg stepped closer, taking his hand. “I don’t know how it was in your previous relationships but there is absolutely no need to buy my affection.

I care not about your money or power, My. I love what is beneath all these posh fabrics.” Greg placed a hand above Mycroft’s heart. “Caring, kind, thoughtful, considerate, selfless, patient, resilient, admittedly sometimes bossy, controlling and stubborn,” Mycroft snorted. “Wonderful and gorgeous man.”

“If half of it were true.” Mycroft whispered.

“All of it is true, love.” Greg smiled at him.

“I love you too Gregory, I know I don’t say it enough…but I try my best to show how much you mean to me.”

“You can show me just not like this!”

“I thought you’d like it,” Mycroft whispered, turning his eyes away. “You always complaint,”

“I know I complain a lot, that my car is old and could stop working any times. But I can choose and buy my own car, Mycroft.”

“But this is the model that you always wanted, or not?”

“It is, and it is a very nice car,” Greg looked at it with a sigh. “But I want to work for it, like I did for everything in my life.”

“I understand. It is a pity though, I quite like driving it,”

“I,” Greg sighed. “It would be such a bother going through the return process,”

“I agree, you know interacting with people gives me a headache.”

“We wouldn’t want that.” Greg smiled.

“Thank you for sparing me from such misery.”

“Of course love.” Greg slid his arms around him, smiling at Mycroft. “Love you, but please don’t do this again.”

“Promise never to do so without talking to you first.”

“Thank you,” Greg kissed him. “Now,” he kept glancing at his new car. “Give it to me.” he took the car keys from Mycroft. “I’ll take you home…You shouldn’t drive if you feel dizzy.” Greg smirked.

“What about work?”

“It can wait. As a good boyfriend, first I must make sure you are well taken care of.” Greg whispered in a low voice.

“I don’t deserve your kindness,” Mycroft blushed.
