Chapter Text

"I'll go wake him up."

Jimin goes down the stairs carefully, his body still a little sore from the snowboarding. The jacuzzi helped, but the little sting in the knees remains. Their room is still dark, one bed in perfect condition while the other is graced by a sleeping Jungkook, tangled up in the sheets. He's uncovered on his stomach, mouth half-open and breathing soundly.

"Kook-ah," Jimin says, starting out gently, pushing the door shut behind him, "time to go."

Nothing. A twitch of Jungkook's leg, but no real sign of waking. Okay, this is going to take a while.

He could play loud music or some other stupid thing, but it doesn't feel right today, somehow. They could both barely sleep last night, what with the aching body and the drink and the end of the trip waiting on the other side of sunrise. The morose mood continued well into waking up for Jimin, and it's still hanging over him now too. He doesn't want this for Jungkook, but they can't stay here all day.

Still, he can wake him up gently. This he can do for him.

He takes off his jacket and kneels on the bed. In the darkness, his hand finds Jungkook's head.

"Jungkook-ah..." It comes out lower than before, and lower still as he leans down to press a kiss to his sleep-flushed cheek, "we need to get going, baby."

Jungkook stirs a little then, groaning. "Five more minutes."

Jimin rolls his eyes. "Five more minutes? You think I'll believe you? It's never five minutes with you." He traces his way down to Jungkook's butt for a solid pat. "Up you get, let's go. Hyung's hungry."

Jungkook makes a protesting noise. "Five minutes."

"We don't have a lot of time for breakfast before the flight—"

Suddenly, Jimin's being pulled down. He tries to find his balance, but surprised and uncoordinated in the dark it's not possible, so he falls on top of Jungkook. "You are so..." Jungkook turns to his side and tucks Jimin's head under his chin, "ah, Jungkook-ah, let go, come on..."

He can't help but laugh when Jungkook throws his arm around him and presses him close with a satisfied grunt. "Like this," he murmurs into Jimin's hood, "mmh."

Jimin sighs, giving in. "Five minutes."

Jungkook is warm and comfortable as ever, so this isn't a bad place to be. Jungkook shifts a little, trying to get comfortable, throwing his arm around Jimin again after getting rid of his hood. "Why are you dressed already," he asks in a sleepy mumble straight into Jimin's hair.

"Because it's time to go! I keep telling you."

"No," Jungkook says stubbornly, nosing down to find Jimin's mouth, "we'll just stay here until tomorrow." A kiss, just a brush of lips. "I decided."

"Ah, you decided? And what about my plane today? What about your schedule overseas tomorrow?"

"We'll miss them," Jungkook mutters, pressing another small kiss to the corner of Jimin's mouth. "How sad. What a shame. Ah, can't be helped."

Jimin chuckles, pinching Jungkook in the stomach before settling in his arms again. He always pulls this shit, and Jimin can't help but be soft for it every time. Even when they really have somewhere to be, he's not capable of saying no to sleepy clingy morning Jungkook. Still, he pretends. "You can't. We have work."

"If we don't get up, we don't. It's a hack. I just invented it."

"The world is just going to forget about us if we don't leave this room, is that it?"

"Mmm," Jungkook hums, "exactly. It's nice and dark in here. Warm...I've got the snacks in my suitcase, we're all set."

Jimin laughs again. He gives him a kiss too, all lulled into the softness of the morning. His hand finds Jungkook's cheek and he leads him the tiny distance for another, longer this time; enticing enough to get him to wake up, hopefully. "All set."

The hand that had settled around Jimin's waist moves down to his hips, then his thigh, gripping.

"Take these off, mm?" Jungkook murmurs, lips overlapping Jimin's, "what are you getting dressed without me for? Are you going to leave me, is that it?"

"I'm going to if you don't get up soon!" Jimin stops Jungkook's fingers from unbuttoning his jeans with a laugh. "Stop! Baby—baby. Let me see you."

Jungkook obediently looks at him, eyes twinkling in the darkness of the room. "Hello."

"Hello," Jimin responds automatically. "How about you stop playing around and we can start to get going?"

"Why are you rushing," he mumbles in a pout, his fingers drawing slow circles on Jimin's lower back, "hm? Can't we just take our time?"

Jimin sees the problem. He understands. Jungkook's voice is coloured in that same regret that he's been feeling all morning. He doesn't want to go either. Going means seperating again, an ocean between them...and even when Jungkook comes back, the day isn't far. Jimin wishes time could stop here too.

But it's entirely out of their control. They've taken advantage of every single moment they could; it was always going to run out.

"I want to have one last meal here with you," Jimin tells Jungkook softly, nuzzling their noses together just for a second because it always makes Jungkook scrunch up his face in a smile, "I don't want a rushed breakfast. I want us to enjoy." He stretches to press a kiss down Jungkook's neck before dropping another one on his jaw. He loves the sound of Jungkook's satisfied inhale. "I don't want to go either," he admits, showing a little of his heart. "I wish we could stay here one more week."

"One more month."

"One more month," Jimin agrees with a smile. "I wish I could try every single restaurant in Sapporo with you."

"Let's do it," Jungkook mumbles, voice a little more relaxed now, warm and lovely in Jimin's arms, "let's do it when we're done. Come back here and do a food tour."

"No drink tour? How about all the best draft beers?" Jimin teases.

"Let's come a third time for a drink tour," Jungkook says with a nod. Jimin laughs, and this time Jungkook does too.

"Okay," he kisses him on his lips again, permanently puckered in the soft morning pout, "let's do it. It's a plan." He sits up and Jungkook comes with him this time, only to wrap his arms around him with another sigh.

"What's with all the sighing, huh? We're young. We're strong." He tweaks his nose a bit, but Jungkook doesn't much react. "What's with you?"

"I think you were in my dream," he mumbles into Jimin's neck. He's holding Jimin tightly, pressed to his chest. "We had a house here. We took the train together all the time to go into Tokyo."

Jimin melts against him. Damn this boy. "That sounds like a nice dream, baby."

"That's why I didn't want to wake up," Jungkook says into his ear, "I wanted to see our lives."

"I bet they were happy," Jimin says wistfully. If they were together, they must have been.

"Mm," Jungkook agrees, pressing his lips to the youth tattoo behind Jimin's ear. It's fitting; Jungkook's kiss has marked his entire youth, and he hopes it will mark his old age too. "I'll make you happier in this life."

Jimin smiles; they're the same, they think the same. It's always such a relief. He reaches back to cup Jungkook's head and grants him one last kiss. "I'll look forward to it," he says, "but for that, you'd have to get out of fucking bed!"

He leaps away and Jungkook falls forward with a grunt, hands landing on the floor. "Yah! Park Jimin!"

Light floods into the room and he flinched, but Jimin only points at him accusingly. "You have five minutes or I'm leaving without you!"

Jungkook throws a bunch of laughing curse words at him, but Jimin sticks out his tongue at him and skips up the stairs. His heart feels more settled now, his whole chest warmed up from Jungkook's touch and words and kiss—warm enough to face the biting cold, warm enough to melt the pretty snow.
