Chapter Text
You and Choso had walked in silence filled with stolen glances and the occasional caught stares to the street corner in which you were meeting your friends.
When you got there, Nobara had a near fox-like grin on her face, obviously not innocent when it comes to this whole… predicament. You went to walking next to her, and Choso walked alongside his brother. Megumi stood between you and Yuji, looking typically disinterested in even being here.
“Sooo, Y/n, how was your walk?” Nobara asked. You could have killed her for that grin.
“It was great, thank you for asking.”
She lowered her voice to a whisper. “Did anything interesting happen while he was in your dorm?”
“How’d you know he came to my dorm?” You followed her lead in the whispering, leaning in.
“Educated guess,” She elbowed you. “Sooo, what happened?”
You clear your throat, getting a little quieter and pulling away. “He zipped up my dress.”
“That’s it ?!” Her voice left the whispering tone, causing the boys to glance over. You kicked her ankle gently, not wanting to cause her to stumble in her heels by kicking her too hard. When they returned to their conversation, you turned back to her.
“What were you hoping to hear?”
“Something interesting! You’re so boring sometimes, you should just go for it!”
“What if he rejected me? Or even worse, what if he didn’t, but Ji hated me for dating his brother!”
“Yuji wouldn’t hate you for that, first of all. And if he rejects you, so what? His loss. I don’t get what you see in that sleep deprived emo.”
“He’s a very sweet guy, and he’s pretty, and- ugh, I’m not explaining it to you. And if he rejects me, then it would be too awkward for me to ever be able to hang out with Ji when his brother was around ever again.”
Nobara glanced at Choso, a dumb grin splitting her face as she found him watching you while Yuji and Megumi talked. How oblivious you were.
—
The club was loud, the drinks were alcoholic, and Choso’s mere presence was getting you flustered. This caused you to drink more to gain some nerves, which was out of place for you. You didn’t drink much, but light drinking was nice every once in a while. Getting hammered was not the plan.
“What’s your name, gorgeous?” A man came up behind you, a grin on his face.
“Y/n! You?”
He told you his name, then offered to buy you a drink. You accepted and the two of you walked to the bar. After nearly pounding the drink down, the two of you went to the dance floor.
He was handsome, and it helped distract you from Choso, who stood against a wall, making small talk with a girl.
Unbeknownst to you, Choso had kept an eye on you the whole night, especially when you started to pound down drinks. He had had a few drinks himself, but only one was actually alcoholic, the other two were sodas.
Jealousy sparked in him upon seeing you dancing with another man, but he tried to ignore it. He knew he shouldn’t feel jealous, you’d never tried to establish something with him at all. You could do whatever you want. He would just watch on and make sure you were okay.
You got separated from the guy not much time later, the alcohol buzzing in your head only urging you to drink more. And to take your heels off. Why the fuck did you wear stilettos?
You bumped into Yuji, who grabbed your shoulders. You almost elbowed him in the stomach before realizing it was him.
“Y/n! Hey- wait, stop, you need to drink something other than alcohol- why are you drinking so much? You never drink this much,” Yuji asked.
“Come on , Riri, don’t be a buzzkill!” You drag him to the bar with you, ordering a “whatever the fuck has the most alcohol” for you and a coke for “Riri the buzzkill.”
—
You almost broke your ankle exiting the club, the alcohol messing with your legs. Choso, much to your glee (and Nobara’s), was the one to catch you as you stumbled down the stairs.
You walked alongside him, staring up at him and ignoring the road ahead of you.
“You’re pretty.”
He looks down at you, your hand intertwined with his to ‘keep you stable.’ Not cause you wanted to hold hands with him, obviously. “Is that so, Y/n?”
You nod, leaning against him as you walk. “Mhm. You’re very pretty. Very handsome. Nice to look at.”
Nobara and Yuji exchange a look. You don’t catch it, but Choso does.
Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji walked all the way back to you and Choso’s dorm building before heading to their own. Choso walked you back to your dorm, and was about to leave you at the door until you tugged him in with you.
“Y/n, are you okay? Yuji said that you don’t usually drink much.”
You pull Choso onto the bed with you, leaning against him as you pulled off your heels and flung them god knows where.
“I… mmm… you smell good. ‘M fine. Are you?”
“Yeah, I’m okay.” His hand drifted up to your head, stroking your hair, brushing out small knots.
You leaned forward, gagging. Choso was quick to grab the nearest trash can, holding your hair back as you felt like you were throwing up your guts.
When you got more than half a second to breathe, you just broke into tears. God, you hated when the alcohol did this to you. You weren’t even sad over anything.
Choso’s hand rubbed your back, his hand going to your cheek.
“Hey, hey, what’s wrong?”
Your tears just flowed stronger. Why was he so sweet?
“Let’s get you to bed, okay?”
He pulled back the covers of your bed, pulling you to lay under them.
Choso licked his lips, wishing he could give you a kiss. You were pretty, even if you were just in tears. There were multiple reasons as to why it would be wrong to kiss you right now, though, so he refrained.
Just as he turned to leave, you let out a sound that generally resembled “no” and reached out a hand.
“Don’ leave… please?”
He took your hand, sitting on the edge of the bed. A small chuckle left his throat when you tugged him down onto the bed and cuddled up against him. He didn’t think you were weak, but the tug showed him you were stronger than he thought.
He was supposed to go meet up with his friends in the morning, so he did hope that you would be up in the morning so you two could talk before he had to go.
—
The bed was still warm when you woke up, and it still smelled like Choso. You hadn’t…? No, you would have remembered, and he wouldn’t have done that with a drunk girl anyway. Unless he was also drunk. But you would have remembered.
Your head pounded as you sat up, every movement feeling like somebody was backhanding you in the forehead.
The room was cleaner than it was last night. Had you cleaned it? No, Choso had to have done it. God, he was so sweet. Why the fuck did he have to be so nice?
He had put painkillers and a water on your night stand. Taking them had you gagging, but you were fine.
As you laid back down to keep sleeping, you made a mental note to do two things:
- Thank Choso
- Figure out what the hell Nobara had done and if you would shave her head for whatever she had done to orchestrate last night
