Aleksi knew it was stupid, but he hadn't been the one to just leave without an actual explanation and then act like nothing ever happened when meeting again.
And he was tired of this, tired of knowing that Olli was staring at him, and only him, whenever he was on stage and then basically ignoring him for the rest of the night. If he didn't know better he would have guessed that other pretty dancer – Joonas – to be the object of the bartender's desire but he did know better. Olli liked Joonas, yes, but while Joonas was subtly, or not so subtly, flirting with him, Olli was just being friendly, probably not seeing anything more than a friend in the curly-haired boy.
Aleksi shook his head and pushed the door open, crossing the small corridor and then leaving through the backdoor. He knew Olli would be here and he was right, seeing the older one standing in the dim light of the only light source the backyard of the club had. He looked pretty, illuminated by the warm light, leather jacket hanging loosely around his shoulders. Aleksi didn't need to actually see it to know that the cuffed black jeans showed off the two tattoos on Olli's ankles.
He deeply breathed in the mild summer air to calm his nerves wanting to announce his arrival but Olli was already turning around. Aleksi could only guess that Olli had felt his gaze lingering on him.
“You know, I've seen the way you look at me when you think I don't notice, Alex…” Olli spoke, looking up at him.
Aleksi walked down the few steps to join Olli a few meters away from the foot of the stairs. “I could say the same about you,” Aleksi returned, now standing opposite his ex. “Staring at me when I'm on stage as if I were all that mattered at that moment. The only thing worthy of your attention.” He wanted to sound sarcastic but he couldn't, because it was the only thought he was capable of thinking about how Olli was looking at him.
“You are,” Olli mumbled, “You've been all I wanted to look at from the moment you came here when fate apparently decided it would be funny if you started dancing in the same club I work at, exactly three months after we broke up.”
Aleksi wanted to reply something, wanted to say something in a biting tone just to show Olli that he didn't care about that anymore and that he was long over Olli just leaving, but he wasn't and there was only one stupid thought left in his head when their eyes met, really met for the first time in months.
“Kiss me.”
