September 2022, Friday at 11:57 AM
For the last 3 days, Dazai hasn't interacted with Chuuya ever since he took the bet with Tachihara
Chuuya tried to ignore it, but it's actually quite hard now knowing that they're friendship had grew ever since
He's been trying to distract himself from the fact that his best friend is ignoring him,
'What did I even do?' Chuuya thought
He doesn't want to start a tantrum so late at night, when everyone in the mansion is already asleep, but he just couldn't help but get upset and angry. So without hesitation, he took his jacket that was lying on his bedroom floor and wore it, he then wore his converse, then took his phone and wallet in case he gets hungry.
Then soon after that, he sneaked out of the mansion, and got on his skateboard
Here at L.A it doesn't get that dark, well despite all the city lights shining through their eyes and the flashy billboards. But hey, it's a good view anyway.
Chuuya needed this- he needed to feel the cold night breeze, the smell of fresh air, the feeling of being at ease. Chuuya got a little better when he went outside (or rather sneaked outside), he just doesn't get why all of a sudden Dazai had to ignore him when they were doing just fine.
Anyhow, he went to a convenience store that was open until 24-hours, he bought himself a bag of chips and a Pepsi, and it just happened so, that he accidentally went to the convenience store where Dazai and him went the last time they hanged out.
"Seriously?" Chuuya said to himself

Meanwhile, Dazai and his cat Shuji was at the window seat looking outside so gloomy, with Shuji in Dazai's lap he was gently petting his cat, giving Shuji soft and gentle strokes.
Ever since Dazai was just a little kid, he had thing habit of constantly overthinking everything he does in his actions, and just currently right now
He can't help but just think, especially now in this atmosphere, the silent night, the dark room, the stars shining through his window seat
Wonders and thoughts just keeps on rambling through his pretty mind
"Do you think I'm being selfish?" He asked his cat, since they we're only the two of them in the room
It's obvious that no answer can be heard except for Shuji's soft "meow", Dazai led out a soft laugh
Besides asking to a cat, he actually thought of it.. maybe he is being selfish
He thought that he was only Chuuya's best friend right? He doesn't have the right to choose who Chuuya dates
Any mature person would've thought of that, the fact when someone knows where to place,
If your he's best friend, than your ONLY he's best friend, nothing more
Huh, well easy for you to say he doesn't feel mature at all, he just feels....envy
It's unfair for him and he can't even understand why it's unfair..
Saturday at 4:30 am
The next morning, Dazai fell asleep at his window seat, It was still dark outside despite the earliest of morning
He got up and stretched a bit, his feet hitting the cold floor when he walked up to his bathroom, when he opened the light to his bathroom he felt like a vampire seeing sunlight and burning to death
(What a dramatic hyperbole for saying that he just got triggered by the light)
He started to wash his face to wake up, then proceeds to brush his teeth, he didn't bother to brush his hair cause he thinks it'll still look the same
He got out of his bathroom, took his phone, then layed on his bed, he checked his Instagram and the first post pop up was:
Chuuya on his skateboard, in the background of the convenience they both went too, with the caption saying
'Sneaked out :P'
Dazai thought it was cute, then liked his post
He scrolled through his IG for the last hour now, then sooner or later he fell asleep again.

5:30 am
Chuuya woke up when Baki jumped on his bed, wiggling his tail at his face
Although he got dog fur on his face, he still thought it was cute
After a few minutes of playing Baki he decided to get ready for the day, since it was Saturday he thought of just staying at home for the weekends
Chuuya got up from his bed, and proceeded to make himself clean in the bathroom, that includes:
His Hair routine, Face routine, and his Skin routine which totals him the time of 3Hours straight
(That's why he has he's own bathroom)
3 hours in, and Chuuya finally got out of the bathroom, cladded in a hoodie and sweatpants
He got down from his room, and got to the kitchen to fill in his stomach, when he arrived, there was already bacon and eggs waiting for him
He immediately sat down, and started munching at his food, soon after Kouyou went in the kitchen to get herself coffee
"Good morning my little fire head~" Kouyou sing-songed as she puts her mug in the coffee machine
"Morning mom" Chuuya said, still chewing on his bacon
"Soo, how's school?" Kouyou asked, as she proceeds to take her coffee
"Fine I guess, umm I have a girlfriend now" Chuuya said unfazed
Kouyou's eyes widened from surprise "Really now? What's the name of the lucky girl?" She then questioned
"Mizuki Tsujimura, she's a new student in our school" He took out his phone to show he's mom a picture of her from her IG account
"I see, she's looks pretty too" Kouyou said, nodding her head like an approval
"Yup" Chuuya said nonchalantly
With that tone of Chuuya's voice, Kouyou knew something is bothering him
"Is there something bothering you hun?" Kouyou proceeds to ask
Chuuya, deciding if he should answer honestly or just lie, but in this situation his in right now, getting confusion and overthinking thoughts wandering around hie brain every night, he's in desperate need of help.
"Well it's about Dazai" Chuuya said slowly
"But I thought you two we're finally getting along?" Kouyou replied
"No no, we are getting along, well, a day after I dated Mizuki" Chuuya said
Kouyou had a thought, and tried her best to hide her smirk behind her coffee cup "Uh huh, tell me more"
"Well, it's just that, a day after I had a girlfriend, me and Dazai were doing just fine, we even hanged out that day, then the following day came and Mizuki became my girlfriend, all of a sudden he started ignoring, and that went on for the last 3 days?! Like what the f- sorry language I know, but like why did he act like that out of nowhere?! Its driving me carzy!!" Chuuya rambled
Kouyou wanted to burst out laughing, from the fact that her son is having a tantrum cause he doesn't know that Dazai is jealous, but she had to keep her laughter too herself cause she promised Dazai that Kouyou wouldn't say a word.
"Is that so, well let's say he's just going through something, I'm sure he'll talk to you eventually" Kouyou smiled, as she approached her son to give him a kiss on the forehead
"Yeah sure, whatever I guess" Chuuya said, taking his phone with him "I'll be in my room if you need me" then he went up from his room
When Chuuya was completely out of sight, Kouyou took out her phone, set her coffee down, and called Dazai
Dazai woke up, by the sudden ringing and vibration of his phone that was sitting at his face
"H-hello?" His voice a husky sound, despite him just waking up
"Hi dear, just woke up?" Kouyou familiarized, by the voice
"Oh hey aunt Kouyou, um yeah i just woke up, why'd you call?" Dazai said, slowly waking up fully
"Just checking up on you" Suddenly Kouyou's voice lowered down "You see, I just found out what happened between you and Chuuya, so how are you doing?"
"Oh.. that, well I honestly dunno, I guess you've also heard that I was ignoring him" Dazai slowly said
"Well yes, he did mention that, is that how your going to hold up?"
"Honestly aunt, I don't even know what I'm going to do"
"Well don't worry, this relationship he's in right now, wont last long trust me"
"How can you be so sure?"
"That's another topic to talk about, jest trust me"
"Ok fine, I trust you aunt"
"Good, I have to go now dear, Don't overthink too much" Then She ended the call and let out a sigh.
Monday, 8:40 am
Chuuya had just finished Geography class, and as much as he hate to admit it - he's actually trying to avoid Mizuki
He just senses that something goes wrong when he's with his so called "girlfriend", but at the same time Chuuya doesn't want to hurt her feelings
Chuuya is regretting that bet.
For reasons, that Chuuya quoted himself:
* 'Mizuki is not that even good of a girlfriend'
* 'She is way to clingy'
* 'She brags about our relationship too much'
* 'Dazai is still ignoring me...this fucking sucks..'
He's been thinking of ending that goddamn bet, shit is getting bad for him anyway
Chuuya was taken back to reality when Mizuki hugged him from behind
"Hi babe!, I noticed you've been avoiding me, is something the matter??" Mizuki questioned as she clings on to Chuuya's arm
"Babe? Where did that came from?" Chuuya thought, since they're not even a week in, and she's already using pet names
Chuuya was about to answer her, when Gin cut in
"Hey Chuu, we're gonna be late for Physics class we gotta go" Gin said, as she pulls Chuuya out of Mizuki's hands and started to walk away
"Shit thanks Gin, you saved me, I didn't even know what excuse i was gonna say" Chuuya thanked Gin
"Yeah, your welcome, i knew you needed saving anyway" Gin winked
"Y'know, I was thinking about breaking the bet" Chuuya honestly said
Gin stopped walking in an instant, well mostly in shock "Really?!, 'The Great Chuuya Nakahara' is willing to lose a bet?!"
Chuuya couldn't help but laugh, cause it's true he is the kind of person who doesn't let themselves lose at all cause, but now he's actually gonna let himself lose for the first time.
"Yup, I'd rather lose than make myself be tortured by a so called "girlfriend" and all have to do is pay Mich a hundred dollars if I lost the bet, no biggie" Chuuya confirmed
"Well you're hella rich anyway, so pretty much a hundred dollars is only one dollar for you, and yeah - Mizuki is hard work, no offense" Good thing Gin understood he's point

4: 24 PM
It was the end of last period, and Dazai still wont talk to Chuuya, but that's a problem he had to deal with later, right now he has to end that bet
Chuuya got to Mich on the rooftop with the rest (Higuchi and Gin), and Mich's $100 is already in Chuuya's hands
"Bets over Mich, I don't think I can be in relationship with her for a month" Chuuya said, serious moded
Mich and Higuchi laughed like hyaenas when Chuuya said that specific sentence
"OH GOD" HIguchi said wiping a laugh tear off her eye "YOUR HILARIOUS CHU" Higuchi can't barely breath anymore
As of Tachihara, laughing so hard he fell to the ground "STOP IM GONNA PISS MY PANTS"
Gin just rolled her eyes as she watches two idiots laugh over a serious statement
"You guys done" Chuuya said unfazed with crossed arms
Suddenly, Higuchi and Tachihara stopped laughing in sync
"Holy shit you're actually serious??!!" Tachi said surprised as hell
"Wait, SO YOU WEREN'T JOKING??!" Higuchi followed
"Do I even look like I'm joking?" Chuuya arched a brow
"Fuck dude, Mr. "I don't like losing" is dropping a bet, I'm shocked dude, no joke" Tachi said, wide eyed
"Yeah well, I can't be her 'boyfriend' anymore, too much shit is happening to me" Chuuya admitted
"Holy shitttt... Is this really you Chuuya??" Higuchi started poking Chuuya's face
Chuuya chuckled "YESS OK? jeez" said still smiling "Here's your $100 Mich" Handing out the green bill
Mich stared at it, "Nahh, you're good bro keep it" Tachi said, and giving him a sincere smile

"Ok, WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING" Higuchi said out loud and the group bursted out in laughter

4: 52 PM
Students were going home now, but Chuuya still hadn't cut tied with Mizuki yet
Gin suggested to break up with her through the phone, but Chuuya wanted to do it professionally
He caught up with Mizuki at the gate, then Chuuya tapped her on the shoulder from behind
Mizuki turned around and was about to hug him, but Chuuya stepped back making her off guard
"Hey Mizu, sorry for doing this but, I can't do this relationship anymore, I'm sorry" Chuuya slowly said, looking down
Chuuya expected her to be sad but it was quite the opposite
"What?!, but we didn't even complete a week and your already breaking up with me?!" Mizuki said, angrily
Chuuya is not the kind to raise his voice at a girl, but the girl in subject is "mom", but still - he doesn't want to cause a scene
"Well if you weren't such a pain in the ass then I could probably keep up with your stupid shit!!" Chuuya said back
"Ugh! Fine, you weren't that good of a boyfriend yourself anyway" Mizuki then stomped away like an angry ogre
Chuuya felt 10 times better after that, even if he had to do it the hard way and Chuuya can finally go home
He went to school in his skateboard, so automatically, he has to go home in his skateboard as well
Along the way home, he saw Dazai on beach, since he wanted to fix things with him, he went to join him
Chuuya silently sat down beside Dazai on the sand, as they both watched the sun disappear from the horizon
Chuuya even had deja vu from when the last time they hanged out
"Hey Daz-" Chuuya was cut in by Dazai
"Chuuya I am so sorry that I ignored and avoid you, I was just-" Dazai thought for a moment, if he said that the reason he was ignoring Chuuya was because he's was jealous, that would 100% give signs that Dazai likes him
"You were just?" Chuuya asked
"I was just, going through something this past few days, that's why I couldn't process talking to anyone that time, but I'm doing fine now, I'm really sorry Chibi" Dazai said as he fidgets with his hands, avoiding eye contact with Chuuya
Chuuya smiled, "It's ok Idiot, but next time you have to tell me when something is bothering you, I've been confused as hell in the past because of you"
"Does chibi like my presence~~ or better yet!! my slug likes my presence!" Dazai annoyingly said
"NO I DON'T, I WAS JUST CONFUSED AND SHIT" Chuuya was caught off guard
"Chibi likes my presence!! Chibi likes my presence!! Chibi likes my presence!!" Dazai sing-songed
Chuuya just laughed it off, as he flipped him off
"I'm glad to have you back, mackerel" purely said by Chuuya
Dazai giggled "Silly slug, I didn't go anywhere - I'm still here"
The redhead couldn't help but just smile, he was just so relieved that everything between them is ok now
All of a sudden, Dazai's mind gone blank when he saw how Chuuya really does enjoy his presence, that pure smile of relievness made Dazai melt
Dazai never felt this type of happiness, but now, he's always experiencing it when he's with his...best friend.
A few minutes after, both boys headed home, and both had a smile

Chuuya was now in his room, and had just finished his homework
Through the whole day though, no- through the past days when Dazai was ignoring him, Chuuya couldn't understand his emotions very well
But one was certain.
He felt sad, he didn't quite handle that well but he had questioned himself time to time
"Why was I so sad when he avoided me?"
"Why did I care so much about his presence?'
But he quickly brushed those thoughts off, what's important is that they're ok now.
He doesn't even feel bad about losing that bet.
Maybe..
This was the worth of his lost bet.
