September 2022, Thursday at 4:22 PM
"HAH!! BEAT THAT SUCKER!!" Chuuya yells as he aggressively clicks the buttons of his controller
"Too weak, i can easily dodge that attack" Dazai, with a smirk on his face as he does dodge the attack
!!KO!! PLAYER 1 WINS
"GODDAMN IT!" Chuuya cursed, throwing his controller on his bed.
Dazai bursted with laughter seeing his best friend lose for the 7th time in a row
"Chibi gets to ahead of himself, lets just admit that I'm the better player a Tekken 7" The bandaged boy said as he wipes away a laugh tear
"No way in HELL your just a cheater you idiot, lets just play a rematch Jin is too weak for me I'm gonna play Law this time, I'm sure I'll win this time!" Chuuya said, refusing to lose.
"Fine I guess i gave to beat you for the 8th time then" With a smug look on the Brunettes face.
It was a pretty good day, Chuuya made plans to play some games on Chuuya's PlayStation 5 after school, it was also a big help for Dazai to get his mind off of what happened.
That's why Chuuya planned it.
3 hours in and both boys are now watching a horror movie, instead of being scared they were just laughing at how stupid the characters were.
Typical Idiots.
Kouyou then walked in, announcing that Murisaki called and that Dazai needs to go home.
With that, Dazai picked up his things and Chuuya walked him out the main door, since the car was already outside waiting for him
"See you tomorrow idiot" The redhead said, smiling cause everything went all according to plan
Out of surprise Dazai hugged Chuuya, cause he never felt this kind of happy in ages
"Thanks Chibi, I really appreciate this, SEE YOU TOMORROW" Dazai ran to the car when the car honked at him
Chuuya didn't realize he was smiling the whole time, he felt so much better when he got the real Dazai back
He went back up to his room and the brunette's scent was still lingering around the room, but it isn't bad - Dazai smells rally good actually, it like a mix of cinnamon and vanilla.
Chuuya looked at the outcome of his room, potato chips lying on the floor, his bed all messed up, candy wrappers everywhere, and PS5 Controllers on the floor.
But hey, the mess is worth it.
Chuuya realized, that Dazai is not that bad and that..
He actually enjoys Dazai's presence.

Friday at school, Lunch time
Chuuya, Gin, Higuchi, and Tachihara were at the rooftop, talking over stupid shit for some reason
Tachihara and Chuuya was literally debating on what came first, was it the chicken? or the egg?
"You guys know that you you've been talking about that for the last 30 minutes right?" Gin said, wanting to make their stupid debate over
Luckily, that got their attention "Wait what?" Tachihara spoke
"Yup, 30 minutes alright" HIguchi then answered
The group laughed none stop at their stupid shenanigans, cause who wouldn't?
Unfortunately, the laughing had to stop when Mizuki approached them
and this took a wiiiiild turn for Chuuya
"Hey umm Chuuya?" Mizuki said with her shy and sweet voice
"Oh hey Mizuki, is there something you want?" Chuuya spoke being nice and polite as much as he can
"May i excuse you for awhile? if you don't mind" The nervousness was building up Mizuki's body
"Um yeah sure, i don't mind" The redhead now curious on what's gonna happen
Mizuki then excused Chuuya to his friends to the side, far enough where his friends doesn't hear them
Chuuya started with "Soo is there anything you wan-"
"I like you" Mizuki blurted, completely nervous
"I like you Chuuya, i've been feeling that way about you, since the first time i saw you and i was thinking if you want to be in a relationship with me..."
Chuuya was to stunned to speak he doesn't know what to do or say, i mean Mizuki is sweet, nice, pretty and a smart girl any boy could date her the problem is..
She's not Chuuya's type
The only thing he can say to not hurt her feelings is:
"I'll think about it, I'm sorry if I'm gonna have to make you wait" At least he tried, right?
"Of course I'll wait for you, as long as you want.....i just hope you'll like me back" Mizuki stared at the ground cause that's all she can look at right now
After being excused Chuuya headed back to his friends, cause he needs advice ASAP
Chuuya explained everything that happened and for some with Chuuya's refusal to ever lose at all cause got onto him just because of Tachihara's bet
"Hey Chuuya i have bet for ya" Tachihara said with a huge smirk on his face
"Oh boy. i know that disgusting look" Higuchi said rolling her eyes
"Alright, just tell us your stupid idea" Gin said
"How the hell do you guys know i have an idea?!" Tachihara uttered
"You always have that stupid smirk on your face whenever you think of something" Higuchi stated
"Just tell me Mich" Chuuya just want this to get over with
"Ok ok, i have bet for you Chuu-chuu" Tachihara's smirk was still painted on is face
"Dont ever call me that again." Expressions were lost in Chuuya's face except for a serious look when he hears that nickname
"Sorry heh, but anyways the bet is you agree to be Mizuki's boyfriend tomorrow and if you last a month I'll give you a 100 dollars but if you didn't you'll give the hundred dollars, bet?" Tachihara's smirk grew and grew as he was talking
Chuuya thought about it for a moment and
"Bet!, your on Mich" Chuuya agreed
I told you Chuuya's refusal to lose got onto him.

Chuuya got home and he was thinking about that bet, he wanted to win not because of the money, he doesn't need that he's already wealthy, all he cares about is being victorious and to prove himself that his no loser.
But there's this feeling that his unsure he'll win, cause - for one, Mizuki is not Chuuya's type and he can sense that something will go terribly wrong.
And for the first time, he feels unconfident about a bet
He tells himself
'I wouldn't last a week'
But then again that boy doesn't want to lose.
Saturday, at 8 am
Dazai was at his bedroom, waiting for his big brother to come. The nervous boy kept fidgeting, pacing and impatiently checking on his phone to see if there's any notifications from his brother.
Seconds later he got a call from his brother, telling him that his almost there.
After 15 minutes later, he finally heard the the door bell ring, and as soon as he heard it he instantly ran down stairs to open the door.
The second he open the door he jumped in his brother's arms giving him the biggest hug
With the impact of the big hug, it made Odasaku stumble a bit, but hugged him back anyway
"Missed me too much eh?" Oda teased
The younger brother couldn't help but nod exhilaratingly
Then soon after Murisaki came (both brothers didn't tell they're mother that Oda was gonna come, they thought they can surprise her for fun).
"What's going on in he- OH MY BIG BOYYY!!" Muri then said with pure happiness
Murisaki approached his eldest son, giving him numerous kisses on the cheeks
After Oda settled in, in his bedroom and after the small talks both boys decided to break the news
"So what got you to come here?" Muri questioned
"Well it's not gonna be a good reason to hear actually" Oda carefully said as he looked at his young brother
"What makes you say that, honey?" Now curiously asked the mother
Silence was filled in the room, they weren't sure on how they were gonna put this
Oda gave his brother a sign to start speaking and to break the silence
Dazai tried to be calm but he couldn't help but get nervous he's hands even started shaking but Muri saw the shaking hands and held those hands
With the warmth of his mother's hands, he took a deep breath and started talking
"Dad... um i saw him.. with another girl and they were.." Dazai had to stop at that part so he looked at his brother for a little help
"They were having sexual intercourse.." Oda continued
"Dad was drunk that time.. and you were out with aunt Kouyou that night.." Dazai couldn't even bare an eye contact with his mother, despite him being scared
"We didn't tell you cause we didn't want to hurt you mom, we both know how much love dad it was just hard to put out" Oda resumed
They expected they're mom to cry and they were ready to comfort her
But Muri's expression were absolutely not what they were expecting at all, and landed them a fucking bombshell when she said
"Oh my babies, I know" Muri said like everything was ok
Dazai's jaw dropped as Oda's eyes widened, which took them speechless
"W-wait what?! you knew all along?? what the- HOW!?!" Dazai exasperatedly said
"Well, when i got home that Monday morning, i went to your father's office to check if your father fell asleep at his office cause he wasn't in bed and without coincidence he was, but then i noticed the vase that he's great grandmother gave him wasn't there, i woke him up to know if he just moved the face somewhere else, but then he told me everything that had happened that night and told me that he was gonna carry that guilt with him if he didn't tell me sooner and apologized none stop" Murisaki then explained
"What did you say?" Oda said feeling a little bit calm now
"At first I was hurt, but i forgave him and gave him another chance" Murisaki said
"S-so everything is alright??" Dazai said, still feeling disbelief
Muri smiled softly as she cupped his son's face "Everything's ok, my sweet baby boy".

After hearing that unexpected news, Dazai was at his room silently reading his book on he's bed while petting his cat (Bombay Cat) named Shuji.
With Dazai's creative mind, he accessorized Shuji with bandages as well, as Dazai's point of view he thinks it cute
While reading Odasaku came inside his room to check up on him
"Hey Samu, You doing alright?" Oda asked
Dazai took a deep breath and gave him an honest answer
"Yeah actually, I feel at ease right now" Dazai truthfully said
With that answer, Oda couldn't help but smile
"That's good;" Oda ruffled his younger brother's hair before leaving his room.
After a few more minutes, Dazai got a notification on his phone
He set down the book and reached for his phone, it was a text message from Chuuya on Instagram:
Chuuya> Hey idiot, you free?
Dazai> HAYIII CHIBIII!!!, How rare of you to text me ><!
Chuuya> Yeah i know, now answer the GODDAMN QUESTION!
Dazai> Jeez ok no need to get so harsh ToT, but YEP I'm free, why'd you ask?
Chuuya> Idk, I'm bored i wanted to go to the arcade, but i thought its just gonna bore me if i went alone
Dazai> I'D BE HONORED TO GO WITH CHUU-CHUU but 1 question, how come you didn't ask your friends to go with you?
Chuuya> I did but Gin is at her grandparent's house with his brother, Higuchi is at the mall and when i called Tachihara, he's brother it the one who answered, turns out Mich is grounded
Dazai> Womp womp, that's too bad SO WHAT TIME ARE YOU GONNA PICK ME UP :DDD
Chuuya> 10:30 good?
Dazai> YEP!! Lemme just change :PP
Chuuya> Great see you there:))
It was a delight for Dazai that Chuuya actually wanted to hang with him, not to mention where they despised each other before and look at them now?
Dazai got dressed and wore his dark brown oversized cargo jorts, his vintage Radiohead shirt, and paired it with hie black Converse.
Few minutes later and Chuuya finally picked him up
"Where's the car?" Dazai said as he looked around looking for the car
"There is no car you stupid mackerel, were gonna ride our bikes" As the redhead crossed his arms
"Ohhh, why the bike though?" Dazai asked
"I dont know, i wanted fresh air i guess?" Chuuya answered
"Ohhh, so why the arcade?" Now the brunette is just annoying Chuuya
"Enough questions!! Just get you bike and lets go!" Chuuya exasperated
Dazai bursted out laughing in to which he once again succeeded to make the redhead explode
After a few seconds later they were finally off to the arcade
Chuuya was right, the fresh air did feel good, they were both at the same pace of they're bicycle, the view was way more beautiful to see with the naked eye than seeing it through a car window.
When they arrived at the arcade, both of the boys immediately bought tickets and seconds later they already played 3 games.
From a total of 17 games that they played, Dazai won 10 of them whilst Chuuya won 7 games, of course there was constant bickering from Chuuya on how the brunette cheated.
It was starting to get dark, and both boys felt they're stomach grumble out of hunger
Luckily, there was a convenience store just a few blocks away from the arcade - they both got to they're bikes and rode off to the convenience store.
Chuuya already bought himself an onigiri and a coke since he just wanted something simple
Dazai on the other hand, is still buying snacks such as mochis, gummy bears, ice cream, Pocky, and canned crab.
"Your seriously gonna eat that all?" Chuuya said as he looked at the brunette's basket (Yes he even got himself a basket for some reason)
"Yep! Why? you wanna share chibi?" The brunette offered while he takes more canned crab
"Yeah.... no, let me just take that for you" The redhead took the basket and started to put everything back
"Hey!! What was that for slug??" Dazai pouted
"Its getting dark and I don't want you to embarrass me when you get sugar rush, you idiot" The slug talked as he picked out proper food him
"Canned crab is not that sweet so can I at least get that? PLEASEE" The mackerel said, as he holds the canned crab into Chuuya's face
"Yeah yeah fine whatever" Chuuya rolled his eyes whilst he gets sushi "Do you like sushi?"
"Uh huh- wait, why are you the one picking out the food I eat? your not my mom" Dazai said, pouting as he crosses his arms
"Shut up you big baby, I'm picking it out for you cause your not responsible about your health" Chuuya debated as he grab to bottles of water
"What do you mean I'm not responsible to my own health? I'm very much capable into being healthy" Dazai protested
Chuuya finally looked at him in the eye and said "Dazai, you don't eat properly at school you barely eat anything, every time we eat lunch at school with our friends you take 3 bites of your food and then after that you'll stop eating, that's why your skinny dumbass" Chuuya looked at him up and down to prove his point
"Now go wait outside, I'm gonna go check out" Chuuya continued talking as he headed over the cashier
Dazai silently walked outside, contemplating the words that Chuuya struck at Dazai, apparently all he can think of is:
'Chuuya cares for me'
Dazai couldn't help but smile at the thought, feeling both flustered and ecstasied
Seconds later, Chuuya came back with the bag in his hand, and as he looked at the sun slowly disappearing from the horizon he had an idea
"Hey, wanna go eat this at the beach?" Chuuya softly smiled at his friend
Dazai couldn't help but agree, - they then got to the beach, took off their shoes and socks to feel the soft sand hit they're feet as they sit down by the shore
Both started eating they're food and Chuuya started talking
"So then i was trying to-------"
Dazai wasn't even listening at the redhead's story, it's like his voice was fading cause Dazai was too captivated by the boy's beauty
Chuuya was so enthrall under the setting sun's ray, the golden sunlight hit Chuuya's face so perfectly that you can see his azure blue eyes glisten, his hair turning into a fiery red, and his freckles so visibly seen.
Dazai thought that Chuuya looks like he was straight from a painting that came to life
The brunette was falling in love deeper and deeper he-
"Hey! Are you even listening!?" Chuuya snapped his fingers into Dazai's face
And there goes Dazai coming back to reality
"Huh? Oh yeah! yeah i-i was listening" Dazai smiled as is he was actually listening
"Yeah, no you weren't" Chuuya thinks it was too obvious that he wasn't actually listening
"Yep, I wasn't listening" Dazai laughed as he took the last bite out of his sushi
Chuuya rolled his eyes, but laughed along to ease the moment
"You know, I never thought I would say this in front of you but, I actually enjoy being around you, even though sometimes you can be an annoying jackass" Chuuya admitted
Dazai was stunned, he can feel his heart beating so fast 'Damn it chibi, why are you doing this to me, play it cool Dazai think straight'
"Me too slug, although sometimes you can be a big meanie" Dazai tried his best to stay as calm as possible
After a few hours of a yapping session, the sun has completely set, both of them went to they're bikes and called it a night.
When Dazai got home, he immediately took a quick shower and got into more comfortable clothes, he took his book and started reading with a smile on his face, knowing that he can claim this day:
'The best day of his life'
Whilst Chuuya, was in his room clad into his cozy clothes, and played Mortal Combat on his PS5 as Baki slept beside his owner, Chuuya never felt this kind of ease in a long time now and it was unexpected cause he got to do this with his friend.
Monday, at 9:30 am
The bet was still on, and they were all waiting at the hall, as much as Chuuya wants to back off, he's passion in winning is still undefeatable.
"Are you ready Chuuya?" Tachihara said with a smug smile on his face
"Chuuya, you know you don't have to do this if you don't want to right?" Gin pointed out
"Yeah I know, but I'd rather lose a hand than lose to a bet" Chuuya said with determination
"Ok, if you so then" Gin said as she thought was funny how Chuuya is so determined on a small bet
"Look! There she is" Tachihara said as he pointed his finger to Mizuki
Mizuki saw them, and she wanted to know the answer if Chuuya is willing to be in a relationship with her. She approached Chuuya and asked him the question
"Yeah, I'm ready to be in a relationship with you" Chuuya said it like he actually meant it to stay in character
"REALLY?!" A big smile formed on Mizukis face then hugged her "boyfriend" so tight
"Yep" Chuuya patted her back and felt so awkward he can't even say a full sentence
Tachihara and Higuchi snickered at Chuuya's situation, while Gin looks like a disappointed mother looking at Chuuya

It was now lunch time and both groups decided to eat a cafe again, Mizuki invited herself with them cause "she's Chuuya's girlfriend"
When everyone found out about the news (which Mizuki blabbed about for the past 15 minutes) both groups congratulated them while Chuuya is just sitting there awkwardly silent.
Dazai then excused himself to the bathroom, when he got there he washed his face to get into his senses
The envy was kicking his heart, making him so despondent but he couldn't even blame anyone cause who's there to blame?
This feeling was all on him, he feels that he needs to be distant for a bit cause he knows that he'll just hurt himself more if he got in the way.
Just then, someone came into the bathroom and it was Chuuya himself
"Hey mackerel, you've been in here for a bit long now, you good?" Chuuya concernedly asked
Dazai looked at him and gave him a cold smile and just nodded, then left the bathroom
Chuuya got confused by the sudden action and as is before where they were still in quarrel he would normally wouldn't give a shit
Now that they're doing good..
Chuuya feels confused and worried like they were doing fine yesterday now?...
"What the fuck just happened?"
