Eclipse has known Sun a long, long time. Longer than anyone else, long enough to have shared metal, shared wires, shared everything. Certainly longer than the do-good mechanic playing hide-and-seek from his origin dimension.
Point is, that kind of history comes with certain commitments. Point is, Sunrise belongs to Eclipse. Point is, no one else gets to touch him without retaliation.
And if this self-titled “Solar” happens to walk right up to Eclipse’s front door, scratching for a fight, well… Eclipse isn’t going to deny him the learning experience.
