“Okay, Deku, I’ve gotta ask,” The interviewer looks over at him, a grin on her face, “kiss, marry, kill-”
“Oh gosh,” Izuku immediately finds the back of his neck with his hand, rubbing sheepishly. He chuckles, ever since he came out as bisexual there have been a number of questions like this directed toward him. He knows there’s almost never any ill intentions but still, it’s always awkward. He takes a deep breath, “Okay go ahead.”
“Alright, kiss, marry, kill; Dynamight, Uravity, Shouto.”
Izuku can feel the heat rise to his face and he just knows that he’s bright red. He looks over to his left where he can see Katsuki just eyeing him down a few people over after hearing that question. It’s a hero event, which means a lot of heroes are here and that also means a lot of interviewers so they couldn’t really walk in together without revealing their relationship (which isn’t something they’re really looking to do right now).
He laughs a bit more, even throws a smirk in there, except it’s a smirk that only Katsuki would be able to point out. And that would simply be because it’s meant just for him as he answers the interviewers question, “Well, being a hero I wouldn’t wanna kill anyone because that’s a bad thing to do,” He rambles, “and violence of any kind shouldn’t be something we as a society focus on but since this is just for the hypothetical and it’s just a game, I’d have to say I’d kill Dynamight,” He makes a point not to look at Katsuki because he just knows the man will be seething (and have to try and hold back because, obviously, nobody - except a couple of their friends who are also heroes - know about their relationship), “uh,” He pretends to think about it but he has his answer planned out already, “I guess I’d marry Uravity and kiss Shouto.”
“Can I ask w-”
“Thank you!” Izuku bows at the woman and quickly rushes off. One, because he knows that she was about to ask why and he’s not really wanting to explain his reasoning because, well, that’d be complicated. Two, because he needs to get away from Katsuki as quickly as humanly possible. He doesn’t want to give him the chance to confront him. He needs to get lost and he needs to get lost quickly, not caring if it leaves the woman stranded.
His phone buzzes a few minutes later and when he checks it, he sees a message from the man himself. The one and only. His husband.
Bakugou Katsuki.

im a paramedic, I was working in one of the ambulances during that whole attack but basically I saw it first hand and my paramedic partner thought I was insane

Izuku looks through the crowd for Katsuki. Ever since that kiss marry kill question from that interviewer at that event, he and Izuku have been playing this…. game of sorts.
When they both got home, after that day, they discussed their relationship and possibly going public with it. Neither of them were too positive about it but they also didn’t have strong opinions on keeping it completely secret, either. So, instead, they decided to make a game out of it.
Whenever the two of them are in a crowd together, Katsuki has to try and find Izuku and kiss him; effectively revealing their relationship. However, Izuku has to really try to hide from him (no matter how much he wants that kiss).
There’s another rule too; If they’re both in a fight with a villain, Katsuki obviously can’t take that moment to kiss him but the moment the villain is in custody, he’s free to chase him down. So, Izuku has to book it any time they’re working anywhere near each other as soon as the police have the bad guy in their custody.
Currently, they aren’t working but rather they’re at another event. Nothing as big as the kiss marry kill one, there aren’t millions of interviewers but there’s definitely a fair amount. Also quite the number of cameras.
Therefore, Izuku is spending the entire time looking for Katsuki just so that he can be completely sure to avoid him. The entire time.
The two of them lock eyes for just a moment and Izuku books it. He doesn’t care if people perceive him or anything, he simply runs. He runs away. He can feel Katsuki hot on his tail so he puts that hero training to work and weaves through the crowd, he takes his jacket off and ties it around his waist. He weaves behind poles and people and turns his hair a little messy, hoping to lose Katsuki.
It’s difficult because, well, Katsuki is a trained hero as well but eventually, Izuku running pays off and he loses Katsuki.
A few moment later, his phone buzzes against his leg in his pocket and he fishes it out quickly to find a text from Katsuki there.

The next time they’re in a crowd, it has nothing to do with their jobs. It’s not any sort of hero event or villain attack or anything. They simply decided to go to a concert with a few of their friends, all in a group.
They’re all having a good time when suddenly Katsuki looks over to Izuku, they’re separated by a couple of their friends simply because they didn’t want to like accidentally reveal their relationship with one another by like grabbing the other’s hand on impulse or something. Izuku feels Katsuki’s gaze on him and meets his eye, he can’t really make out what Katsuki says audibly but he can definitely read his lips as he says, “We’re in a crowd.”
The thoughts of their game come rushing into his mind and Izuku’s eyes widen before completely taking off into the crowd, it’s hard to make it through such a thick crowd, a popular band is playing afterall.
Katsuki is right behind him and he gets close. He gets so close that Izuku quite literally feels Katsuki tug on his sleeve but Izuku manages to break free from the tug and rush further into the crowd. He doesn’t know where he’s going so he just follows the signs to the bathrooms, that seems somewhat logical.
Thankfully, a song that everyone and their mother’s love is on so nobody is in the bathroom when he bursts through the door and hides in one of the stalls.
“You can’t escape me that damn easily this time, you shithead,” Katsuki announces from right outside the stall Izuku is in.
“Hey, we’re not in a crowd anymore,” Izuku mutters, cracking the stall open, “therefore, uh, I win?”
Katsuki scoffs and rolls his eyes but ultimately pushes into the stall with Izuku, capturing into a kiss. When he breaks apart, he just mutters, “I win,” and leaves the stall, leaivng Izuku wanting more.
He shakes that thought quickly, his competitiveness coming back, “Hey! No! You don’t win, the game is still on. We weren’t in a crowd, which means there are no pictures, which means we’re still doing this.”
“Oh yeah? You gonna hide in this damn bathroom for the rest of the concert.”
“No. Duh. We’re calling a truce for the rest of this concert since I already won once,” Izuku claims.
Katsuki seems amused by the prospect but he also rolls his eyes, then ends up agreeing, “Fine, we’re okay until after the concert. Then I’m coming for you again.”
“You hate me.”
“Not at all, my love.”
Izuku hates that damn pet name. Usually it’s a simple babe or baby but my love? That always gets him whenever Katsuki pulls it out. He just crosses his arms and walks toward the sinks to wash his hands (he touched the bathroom stall door, okay? Sue him for being clean.)
Katsuki does the same and then they silently walk out one behind the other, not saying another word.

Izuku places his hands on his knees, panting heavily. That was exhausting, he’s so glad it’s finally over. He doesn’t give himself much more time to rest, the image of Katsuki getting hit down by the villain pops right into his head and he’s back onto his feet, running.
He searches through all of the faces on the street and the sidewalk, he runs over to the group of injured people, scanning the faces for his husband. His husband. His husband. His husband.
Katsuki.
Their game be damned, his husband got hurt, he couldn’t care less about any secrets or games or whatever. He just needs his husband. He needs to make sure he’s okay. He had to be sure to apprehend the villain in the moment and Katsuki told him not to check on him and that he’d be fine but, god, Izuku couldn’t help but feel the guilt the entire time he was in the fight. He was thoroughly distracted.
There’s a reason he and Katsuki stopped their work partnership; they effectively distracted each other and not because they were thinking about taking each other’s clothes off or something but because they were worried.
The moment Izuku sees Katsuki, he’s got complete tunnel vision. He full on sprints to the love of his life. He has been pushed past his breaking point tonight, he can barely keep his eyes open, he’s in pain, and he definitely needs to be checked out by a paramedic but the moment he sees his husband? None of that matters.
None of it at all.
He doesn’t know how long it takes him to run through the crowd but he doesn’t even hesitate to throw himself into Katsuki’s arms. Katsuki lets Izuku in instantly, wrapping his arms around him and burying his face in Izuku’s curls.
Katsuki’s sitting up and seems to be well enough, so Izuku just gives him a tight squeeze, ignoring the tears that are coming out of his eyes because those clearly aren’t his business, “Are you okay? How hurt are you?”
“It’s just a few fuckin’ bruised ribs,” Katsuki assures, rubbing along Izuku’s back, “you got the guy?”
“I got the guy,” Izuku chuckles wetly from his tears, “and I hate that he got you, I was so worried.”
“I know, baby, I’m okay.”
“Good.”
“But guess what.”
“What?” Izuku asks, parting from Katsuki and looking up at him.
Katsuki smirks, “We’re in a crowd.”
Izuku’s eyes widen in realization. Their game. Their fucking game that Izuku said he didn’t even care about. “Oh fuck you.”
Katuski damn near cackles before grabbing onto Izuku’s face and giving him a nice, deep kiss. Izuku reciprocates, completely ignoring the fact that there are a ton of people around them probably taking pictures and posting it to social media as they kiss.
That’s sorta been the whole point of their game; It was to eventually reveal their relationship to the world.
So, here they have it. Revealed. As simple as that.
