Chapter Text

So, despite Douma’s instincts telling him otherwise, both Demons took a seat, and Nedzu began his speech. “I’d like to say I’m rather impressed with the show you managed to put up, Kokushibo.” For a second, Douma’s heart stopped. How did Nedzu know the name of his coworker? Who was he working with? Then, he remembered to breathe again. This was a stoat in front of him. A stoat whose only ability was his frightening intelligence, which wouldn’t compare to the ice he could create. Besides, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Nedzu knew this; he had somehow figured out about Upper Moon One’s previous… occupation.

“But, I did see the two of you conversing with a man, who I presume works for a villain, most likely All For One, considering his affiliation with you.” All For One? That was a sucky villain name.

“May I request to know who this mysterious All For One is?” Kokushibo asked, his face having not changed since the start of their meeting.

Nedzu’s face darkened.

“All For One is… a serious topic for some. To put it simply, he is the most powerful villain in Japan. I have no doubt that either one of you would be able to defeat him, but, unfortunately, we need him alive. Without the ever-looming threat of him controlling the Hero Commission, they could become too focused on their… less than ethical projects.”

So… This guy is really dangerous, not more than me of course, but we need him alive… What a pity. It’s been a while since I’ve had a good opponent.’ Douma thought, mildly disappointed with the outcome of the conversation.

“I see.” Douma inwardly giggled. With six eyes, Kokushibo-dono was indeed able to see, and quite well at that.

“But let’s forget about that subject; it can be dealt with later. First of all, I’d like to ask for your affiliation with the man with pink hair from the Sports Festival.”

“Oh, Akaza-dono? He’s another one of our coworkers! He was UpperMoon Three in the Taisho Era, so one slot below me!”

“Yet you still call him Lord?”

“Yep! He’s Kokushibo-dono’s friend, so I should respect him just as much!”

“An… interesting take on Akaza and I’s battles, Douma.”

“In my eyes, it’s just another way to show a beautiful friendship.”

“Well, now that I am aware of who the mystery man was, may I ask if you’re planning to reconnect with him?”

“Indeed we do. We believe that he would be helpful in our new goal of restoring demonicism to Japan, and recreating what our Lord left us.”

“Well, that answers my next question as to what your new goals are. Bakugou was beaten embarrassingly quickly for that huge ego of his, so I would suppose you’d like something more satisfying to achieve?”

“We already have a particularly large goal in mind; to restore our Lord’s legacy.”

Nedzu paused for a moment, seemingly confused before it clicked.

“So, you’d like to have Demons live above humans once again?”

“Indeed. We wouldn’t dare hurt your students, but other pathetic weaklings… you could say they had it coming.”

“An interesting point of view. Very well then, I see no issue with your aim, so long as my students and staff are kept out of this conundrum.”

“I see. Well, thank you for your time, Nedzu. We will alert you of our plans on how to achieve such a goal, and adhere to your expectations.”

“Very well then. It was lovely to have you two here, do come by for tea sometime.”

Without another word, both Demons left the room, shutting the door quietly behind them. Douma left out an audible sigh of relief.

“That rat… he knows more than he should, don’t you think? It’s pretty unusual for someone to know and be okay about it, let alone a sentient rat.” Douma said, his tone a little more uneasy than normal.

“I suppose he does. Nonetheless, we will find out in due time. Now, we should return to the dorms and begin our planning.” Kokushibo answered calmly, before walking down the hallway and beginning to make his way to the dorm rooms, Douma following close behind.
