Chapter Text
Karasu woke up to half of his body in pain and a headache. Two things that did not go well together. He carefully got out of bed, mindful of the two others he'd slept with to ensure they didn't wake up. He chose to head over to the bathroom, looking into the mirror while he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. Jeez, he looked pretty terrible. His hair was an absolute mess too.
After a few minutes of readjusting his hair and making himself look at least somewhat presentable, Karasu treaded back to his room to find a now fully awake Yukimiya sat up in his bed.
“...Morning.” Yukimiya greeted, but he didn't meet his friend's eyes.
Karasu chose to ignore that, “Sleep well?”
“Yeah, I think Otoya kept kicking me though.” He laughed quietly, motioning to the sleeping boy beside him.
The darker haired man smiled and went to settle down next to Yukimiya, inspecting the other man's features closer for the first time. He'd never noticed up until now but Yuki seemed to have light freckles covering his cheeks.
“Karasu..?” He said, keeping his voice down still.
The crow hummed as a response, looking over at his plain wall.
The brunette didn't say anything for a little while, allowing silence to fill to room again.
“Does this make us... a thing?” He asked, looking down at the carpet while he nervously scratched at his arm.
“Would you want us to be a thing?”
Another lengthy silence. Yukimiya turned away.
“I don't know.”
“...”
“...”
Karasu sighed, he expected this to be one of the outcomes but it hurt more hearing it outloud compared to any kind of thought of it in his head. Yukimiya had a reputation to keep up, it'd be hard to steer a relationship away from the public when he's a model and a footballer. If he was a person of just one, maybe, just maybe, it'd have been more manageable- though, unlikely. It was more than just that; more than the relationship, more than there being three rather than two, more than the cameras and more than their genders. Maybe it was just something wrong with their personalitys, maybe it was that deep down Yukimiya wasn't ready for something like this.
Maybe Karasu was just thinking this to feel better, act like there was a time and place where this could've worked for them.
Silence filled the room once more but this time, it wasn't a comfortable one shared between the two. The only thing that broke it was shuffling and shortly after, a yawn from Otoya.
“Morning.. what're we talking about?” He sleepily mumbled, joining the other two in sitting upright.
“Nothing.”
“Our relationship.”
Both awnsers were uttered out at the same time, the two turned their heads round to stare at eachother.
“Yuki, if you want to talk about this then Otoya should know, right?” Karasu asked, holding onto the last of his hope.
“We don't have to talk about it.” Yukimiya dismissed.
“We should.” Karasu insisted.
“I know I'm one to talk- cuz I never really talked things out with my girlfriends, but maybe Karasu is right.” Otoya suggested, choosing to agree with Karasu.
The model sighed, accepting defeat, “Okay.”
With Yuki finally caving in, Karasu began to think of how to approach the situation. This was going to be a hard conversation, if he messed it up he'd screw over not only him, but Otoya too. He should start with something simple, like what Yukimiya wants in a relationship. Yet before he could even begin his sentence, the white haired man beat him to it.
“So do you want a relationship, or are you just here for friends with benefits?” he lazily asked, once again, forgetting to add atleast some emotion to his words.
Kara truly thought he'd ruined their chance but to his suprise, the man they were questioning seemed to awnser better than he did when the crow was trying.
“Its not just the sex. I- I truly do like the both of you but would it really work?” Yukimiya spoke.
Karasu could've sworn he heard his voice quaver for just a moment. He tried to gauge how the other man was feeling from his expression but had no luck.
The ninja spoke up once more, “Why do you think it wouldn't work?”
“I don't know! It's just... everything! The modeling, my soccer career, the fact there's three of us- and what if it doesn't work out like we want it to?” He began to ramble, eyes brimming with tears as he did.
“What if I just end up a huge disappointment.”
That was the sentence that set him off, anything he'd been using to keep his tears back before wasn't holding up anymore. Otoya glanced at Kara for help, never sure of what to do in these kinds of situations. He took the lead for him, gently pulling Yukimiya into his hold while Otoya sat and watched.
When the sounds of sobbing quietened down into the occasional sniffle, Karasu began to speak, “You wouldn't disappoint us, we don't need a perfect relationship anyway. There never was anything perfect between us, that's what makes it even better. We won't push high expectations on you.”
His tone wasn't exactly comforting, though it didn't contain any hint of annoyance either. The lighter haired man began to attempt any kind of affection, (beginning to feel bad about his lack of help) rubbing circles on the brunette's back as his sign of comfort.
The three of them stayed that way for a while before Yukimiya slowly, and seemingly reluctantly, pulled back from Karasu's embrace.
“I think-” He paused to think, taking a moment, “I think sometimes I get scared that I'm not enough, even when no one has directly told me anything like that. I usually try to just keep it to myself but with you guys I feel as if I can actually talk about it. I feel like I can be vulnerable with you.”
The crow nodded in understanding while the ninja smirked.
“Ya can talk about anything with us, we don't care about high standards.” The dark haired male told his "friend".
“Yeah, long as it's not like anything Karasu talks about, his subjects are boring.” Otoya nodded, putting an arm around the model's neck.
“Fuck off, ya can't be talkin when yer hair looks like ya accidentally super-glued a blade of grass ta it!”
“Your hair looks like a bird's nest.”
“Ya look like a leek.”
“You look like a grape.”
The brunette cleared his throat, giggling at the petty argument.
“He was the one attacking me Yuki'!” Karasu whined, pointing an accusing finger at Otoya who put his hands up in surrender as a response.
Yukimiya stared at the two before sighing, “Do you two ever stop bickering...?”
“No.”
“No.”
The ninja and assassin both whipped their heads around to face eachother, suprised they said the same word at the same time. That was before Otoya ruined it by poking the other man's cheek teasingly. Karasu hit him around the head afterwards, turning the teasing affection into a full-on play fight. Yuki sat and watched with disappointment etched onto his face while they roughhoused infront of him on the bed.
He eventually had to tear the two away from eachother before someone actually got hurt. (Otoya was getting dangerously close to falling off the bed) Luckily for the model, as soon as he interfered the two complied and stopped the fighting.
He raised a brow at the two, “If you'd stop trying to kill eachother for a second, I'd like to ask what we are.”
The two in question turned to eachother to both pull an expression at one another.
“Well you're our boyfriend aren't you?” The lighter haired man said plainly after he'd finish giving a dirty look to Karasu.
Despite already knowing it'd be the most likely outcome, Yukimiya couldn't stop the faint blush from spreading across his cheeks.
“Yeah.. okay.” He smiled pleasantly at his two boyfriends.
The three remained in bed for most of that day, watching a shitty movie together when It got dark out. Kara knew that going back to Blue lock with his, now two, boyfriends would make it all the more bearable than before. Karasu was glad to be in the right time and place for them to work.
