Chapter Text

Seeing Nakahara Chuuya's silence, Dazai Osamu was even more certain that the orange-haired Omega was hiding something important from him, but what exactly was it that Chuuya couldn't say? Normally, the two of them wouldn't have to hide anything from each other.

"What's wrong, Chuuya? Did the cat eat your tongue?" Dazai left the Omega's scent gland, he raised his hand to caress that sensitive skin, occasionally gently massaging it like petting a cat, trying to make Chuuya relax. Unfortunately, Chuuya was not a normal Omega, he absolutely would not let himself lose his guard and indulge in that fake gentleness for too long, he knew that if he remained silent for too long, Dazai Osamu would lose his patience, Chuuya bit his lip lightly, relying on the pain to resist his instincts that were screaming for satisfaction at the Alpha's pampering.

"I have nothing to say to you." Chuuya sighed, clearly annoyed, "If you can, then tear me apart and find me."

"Chuuya dares to challenge me today? ~ Oh my, we all know I'm good at 'that' right? But, if Chuuya doesn't want to talk, then it's fine! I'm just doubting Chuuya's loyalty~ I don't want to be killed by Chuuya at all!" Dazai said in a pompous tone, and Chuuya grimaced in disgust at the always empty voice, "Are you done now, Boss? Stop rubbing my scent glands, I don't have the passion for office sex."

"That's not what I meant, Chuuya." Dazai blinked, "Like I said, I'm just worried about my Omega's health. If Chuuya feels like taking care of me is getting in the way of your eating, I'm willing to ask Gin to arrange a cafeteria downstairs from my office."

"I don't need your cheap kindness." Chuuya glared at him. "With your rotten morals, I know exactly what you want."

“Oh?” Dazai Osamu looked fakely amused, even though he already knew the answer, he still asked, “So, what does Chuuya think I want?”

"Control, manipulate, exploit, torture... Whatever." Chuuya rolled his eyes, not hesitating to list each of Dazai Osamu's familiar tricks.

"How you want to control me is up to you." Chuuya looked straight into Dazai Osamu's unobstructed eye and firmly said. "Remember, even if you mark me, I will never truly belong to you, Dazai."

That's right, that day after waking up from his heat coma and realizing that Dazai had arbitrarily marked him for eternity without asking his opinion, Chuuya almost strangled Dazai to death right on the bed if it weren't for Mori Ougai's intervention.

Obviously, Chuuya knew, Mori Ougai's timely appearance was arranged by Dazai Osamu.

You bastard, Dazai.

Nakahara Chuuya cursed the Dazai family's ancestors a hundred times for daring to give birth to Dazai Osamu.

"Don't think I don't remember the look in your eyes that day." Chuuya could distinguish that look, it was pure satisfaction without any impurities. There was something sparkling in that look, it was like a demon laughing at the pain of its prey that had been trapped in its trap.

"Chibi is so heartless." Dazai pouted and said sulkily.

"You're really too noisy for a serious atmosphere." Dazai retracted his smile, his expression changing as quickly as flipping a pancake, he coldly removed his hand from Chuuya's scent gland.

Marking Chuuya, this became a huge rift between the two, their relationship getting worse and worse. If someone asked Dazai if he regretted or felt guilty for doing that? He simply answered no. Dazai Osamu was the opposite of Chuuya, he never regretted it. Never. He was even happy to be hated by Chuuya to the bone.

Ah, yes that's right, Chuuya...

Continue to hate me, I don't need your love.

But you know what, Chuuya?

In every parallel world, 'our' ten fingers are always intertwined.

But every time I open my eyes, I see my world, it is a sad scarred lie.

Too much admiration... Anyway... You don't belong to me... I still want you to death... At all costs... Dazai's eyes showed a pale sadness, smaller and more transparent than a grain of sand when he thought about that, but he quickly hid it with a familiar smirk.

"I'm not joking with you anymore, Chuuya. My dog is too fierce, it's no fun. I should go handle some paperwork." Dazai Osamu returned to his seat, placed his index finger on his chin and stroked it, then said, "Ah, tell Gin to come see me right away. As for Chuuya, knock on the door at 6pm sharp, signaling me to get ready for the meeting."

Chuuya couldn't understand Dazai Osamu's actions and thoughts, but he knew that this bastard had worked hard to build the growth of the port mafia, and the purpose behind it was not something good. What annoyed him the most was that he couldn't guess what the leader was thinking in his head, what did that prove? The gap between the two was too far, and could it not be saved?

At the age of 16, he began to feel distant towards Dazai - the one who marked him, the one he always trusted.

At 22 years old, he could only watch Dazai go further and further away, further and further away... Ironically, Chuuya hated being called a dog by Dazai, but he saw himself now as no different from a dog begging for its owner's attention, even if just a little.

He clenched his fist. The newly blossomed love was like a firefly, shining beautifully and then dying miserably, buried ten layers of earth deep but still could not cover up the stench.

Ugly, humiliating.

"If you dare to tease me again, I will kill you." Chuuya coldly replied, "Understood, boss."

Five minutes later, Chuuya stood guard at the office door, he saw Akutagawa Gin also come in as summoned, she politely said, "Chuuya-san, good afternoon."

Chuuya didn't reply but just nodded slightly, he opened the door for Gin to enter.

The two large bulletproof steel doors had just closed when Dazai put down the pen in his hand. He raised his head to look at Gin, not beating around the bush but getting straight to the point, "Gin-chan, collect Chuuya's schedule today, including all the places he went and left, don't miss a single detail. I'm eager to see what secrets chibi is hiding from me."

From the moment Chuuya first entered his office, Dazai knew that his Omega had taken a shower to wash away the old scent on his body, this was definitely to prevent him from being able to investigate anything from the scent.

So, what is Chuuya hiding? Alpha, Omega?

"Send someone to secretly install tracking chips on all of Chuuya's cars and motorbikes. If possible, form a detective team to investigate, understood?" Dazai Osamu was smiling brightly, like a Laughing Buddha statue, but the Alpha scent he emitted expressed a different emotion, it was raging.

"Yes, boss." Gin respectfully obeyed the order. Luckily, Gin was just a Beta so she couldn't smell Dazai Osamu's scent at all. The concentration of the scent in the room was enough to make someone faint on the spot. However, her sixth sense told her. She guessed to herself, her boss is angry, right? Angry because of Chuuya-san?
