I hope you are doing well, Miss Jade. I apologize for troubling you with this issue, but it concerns a certain Stoneheart that we are both familiar with and I believe that you may have the necessary authority to discipline him in my stead.
Recently, I have been the unfortunate recipient of a number of messages entirely unrelated to work, sent to me by that scummy, pretentious gambler. He frequently harasses me in an attempt to loop me into his after-work schemes, and is constantly asking for my personal contact information despite my refusal to provide it. Although I do not believe that he truly has any desire to unsettle me, I can't help but feel distressed every time he and I engage in conversation. His idea of "fun" is a major source of irritation for me.
I understand that I am not an employee under the Strategic Investment Department, and that my problems are none of your concern. However, Aventurine works alongside you more closely, and as his senior you have more influence over his actions. I would appreciate it if you would warn him to cease his current behavior. His messages are highly upsetting and he does not listen to me in the slightest when I ask him to stop.

That gambler is rather interesting. I'm glad that you contacted me, as I have a multitude of complaints about him.
First of all, his personality is absolutely insufferable. I can count on one hand the number of times he has actually considered my advice to him. Even then, he rejects it most of the time in favor of what he calls "risk-taking." Somehow, he manages to make miracles happen. Any time I suggest that he behaves more cautiously, especially concerning matters that might put his life at risk, he just smiles in that irritating way of his and tells me not to worry.
Secondly, he refuses to show his true colors. Anyone can tell that his arrogant attitude is simply a facade he adopts in order to execute his ploys more efficiently, yet I doubt many (or anyone at all) has witnessed what he's really like under all of that false bravado. A shame, because his usual persona is quite unbearable, and yet I'm sure there are many who would be willing to lend an ear to him. If only he would stop his incessant chatter for more than two seconds and show some sincerity.
He's also quite a petty man. I'm sure you're familiar with that side of him as well. At times, he adopts the temperament of a child. He does love getting a rise out of people, and I'm confident that his "temper tantrums" are entirely intentional. He absolutely loves to hold grudges for the most inconsequential of misunderstandings. He's been visiting my office nearly every day just to remind me of the time I forgot to get him a drink (which wasn't even my responsibility, by the way). He insists I come along with him on his next outing to make up for it, but I've been declining just to avoid what's sure to be several hours of verbal attacks from him.
I assume you've already heard from Jade, so I'll tell you about his recent messages. All he does is ask me for my number, or ask me to accompany him on his nightly escapades, or ask me where I live, or ask me what my plans are after work...it's truly tiresome, especially since he only seems to become more enthusiastic when I ask him to stop. I don't know what I can do to get him to stop pestering me. Every previous attempt I have had at connecting with him on a genuine level has been met by sarcasm and utter indifference, and I'm frankly tired of dealing with his insincerity.
Now that I've answered your question, I'd like to ask for a favor in return. Will you please ask that gambler to quit troubling me? It seems he has nothing better to do than to bug me, and I have no patience left for his little games.

Though I am loath to admit it, I'd (rather hopefully) considered that possibility in the past. As I have gotten to know him, however, I unfortunately have concluded that he has no interest in my personality. I would never go as far as to call him void of any sentiment, but he has no space in his carefully-guarded heart left for me, it seems. To be honest, his continual flippancy in response to my attempts to get to know him better has wounded me a little. I've given up humoring him and his recent efforts to make a fool of me.
