Summary
Remnant was a hostile world. Beyond the walls of civilization the Creatures of Grimm lie in wait, hounds in the shadows desperate to pounce at the humans and Faunus. Beneath all that, the creatures of darkness have their own predators. For demons stalk the edges of reality, seeking to break free and ravage all throughout the kingdoms.
Yang Xiao Long and Ruby Rose didn't believe in demons. Nobody did, after all when the Grimm were so prolific why dream up something worse than that? Leave it to their Uncle Qrow and Dad to mess with them when they were young with all those stories they told. There's no such thing as the Underworld, demons turning into weapons and marrying humans, or swords that can make portals to such a place!

When their worldview comes crashing down, the two sisters have to learn to adapt to the revelations and decide which side will win out, human or demon?
