Chapter Text
"My, you can barely see anything in this darkness," Musubu said as she turned her lantern on.
"Tell me about it," Saya said. "Let's hurry and get this over with. This place is giving me the creeps."
"Stay close to each other," Musubu said walking into the woods. "I would hate to lose track of you two because this forest is very dense." The two nodded and followed her.
Snake Eyes looked around for any sign of activity, Musubu led the way and Saya kept glancing at her teammates to make sure they didn't suddenly disappear.
Tired of the silence, Saya broke it. "Well, I never would have imagined my life would come to this,"
"Neither did I," Musubu replied.
Snake Eyes didn't pay attention as he is focused on the mission.
Saya sighs. "I can't say I regret it. This life certainly beats living in the countryside with nothing to do,"
Musubu giggles. "Can't argue with you there. This life will certainly keep you entertained. That's not even mentioning all the people that are in Jay-Jay's school,"
"Oh, don't remind me of that. I'm still amazed that Jay-Jay can manage a school as huge as that all by Himself," Saya shook her head at the fact.
"Well, He is Jay-Jay after all," Musubu said, with a glint of admiration in her eyes. "He is talented in many things so I'm not surprised He is able to run His school and make quality students."
"You're right about that. Anyway, what are you planning on doing after this?"
"Hmm, nothing really. Why you ask?"
"I was hoping you, me, and a couple of the girls hang out with each other. It's been a while since we had a girls' night out or simply hang out with each other,"
"Oh, that sounds fun, I'm in! I do need a break as it has just been working or lessons,"
"It has. However, it's only been like that because the Immortals have been harassing us ever since three months ago,"
"Right," Musubu agreed. The Immortals. She never knew an organization like that. Then again none of them did until they joined Jay-Jay's school. When they first learn about it, they were shocked such a powerful and crooked group existed. As much as she hates to admit it, she is impressed with their stealth. She and everyone else could see that stealth was their greatest asset. Well, besides their immortality. Still, it just bewildering a problematic organization like that is powerful and has been getting away with it ever since its existence. 'Not anymore,' Musubu thought as she clenches her fist. 'They have been screwing people over long enough. It is time to put an end to their terror and bring them to justice. It may be a daunting task but...' She looked over to Snake Eyes and Saya. '...I'm not alone in this journey as the All-Verses Rangers are with me. Besides, we will not go down so easily.'
Abruptly, Snake Eyes stopped causing the two to look at him.
"Hmm, you hear something?" Saya asked
Snake Eyes put one finger to his mouth and gestured to their right side.
The two followed his hand and listen in. They managed to pick up a vicious growl before it moved away at high speeds.
The three were alarmed and took out their respective weapons.
"What was that?!" Musubu asked in a panicked tone, frantically looking around for the animal.
"I don't know. All I know is that it doesn't sound friendly at all!" Saya said, aiming her bow in different directions.
Snake Eyes nods in agreement as he cocks Beretta 92.
"Keep your eyes peeled," Musubu ordered.
The two obeyed her command and quickly moved in a circle. They hear growls and rusting in the woods. The anticipation is killing them as they don't know what it is, but they keep their composure. A calm mind is a key to figuring out a way out of the situation.
After a couple of minutes, the noises stopped. The three tighten their grips on their weapons and kept their eyes open.
Suddenly, an animal hop out of the bases and it was a...
Red panda.
"Oh, look at you!" Saya squealed as she drops her weapon and skipped over to the red panda before kneeling down to its level. "Look at you!" Saya squeezed its cheeks.
'A red panda?' Musubu tilts her head at this. 'Here we thought it was something dangerous.' A sigh of relief escaped from Musubu's lips.
Snake Eyes did not trust the red panda and kept his eye on it.
Saya scoops up the red panda and begins to swing him around. "I can just take you home with me! Don't worry, I will make sure all your needs are met!" \
Musubu slightly chuckles at her friend. 'She has always been an animal lover,' Musubu's eyes caught Snake Eyes eyeing the red panda, tracking the red panda's every movement. "Don't worry Snake Eyes. It's friendly."
Snake Eyes shook her head at her.
Before Musubu could retort, Saya was suddenly thrown into a tree and the red panda lets out an unholy roar.
"Ow, bad panda," Saya groaned as she rubs her head and slowly gets up. She dashed to her bow and was about to grab but the red panda appeared in front of her. Surprising her. The red panda swiped at her cheek. Saya is sent flying through 20 trees before rolling on the ground.
Musubu looks at the red panda in shock. 'What?! Red pandas are usually not that vicious or that strong!' Musubu eyed the red panda to look for anything unusual on it, but she found none. 'Okay, this is suspicious, but I worry about that later.' Musubu twirl her naginata polearm and aimed it at the red panda. The red panda leaped towards Musubu. Musubu thrust her weapon into the red panda. The red panda landed on the polearm, shocking Musubu. 'What! How is it able to dodge in mid-air?!' The red panda runs up to Musubu and slashes her face. Musubu narrowly dodges the attack and moves back a bit to create distance. The red panda was about to attack again, but Snake Eyes shot three shots into it. Causing the red panda to squeal in pain and blood to pour out. The red panda drop to the ground.
Saya limped back to them. "Damn, that red panda is strong!" Saya grabs her bow and looked around for the red panda. She sees the red panda on the ground, seemingly dead. "Huh, you took care of him quickly."
"He was a threat," Musubu sighed. "It's a shame. It was such a cute animal."
Saya nods. "It was. Let's continue to explore the forest. There's no telling what other things we will find here," The two nod and they begin to walk into the forest.
However, they stopped once they heard a low growl.
"Please, don't tell me it can heal," Musubu whispered, she is dreading that it may be able to heal.
Saya and Snake Eyes slowly turn around and saw the red panda's wounds healed and it grew in size.
"Well, it can heal. Not only that, but it also grew in size," Saya said.
Musubu groans and turns around. "Just our luck," She got into her fighting stance and the two followed suit. "Let's hurry and finish this." The three charged at the red panda who roared and charged at well.
Yukino, Tony, and Kane are walking under the village.
"Ugh, I don't like the darkness," Yukino said, looking around her to make sure they aren't being stalked or followed. "Always give the feeling I'm being watched."
"Don't worry, Yukino," Kane said. "I make sure you are protected."
Yukino rolls her eyes. "Right, my life is so safe in your hands,"
"What is that supposed to be?" Kane asked, a bit irritated at Yukino's attitude.
"You know exactly what I mean," Yukino said as she look at Kane with a cold expression. "You care about nothing, but yourself. I don't know what Jay-Jay sees in you."
Kane glares at her and was about to hit her, but Tony stopped him.
"There is no need for that," Tony said. "You two can settle this later. Right now, we are on a mission and I'm trying to avoid getting scolded by Jay-Jay."
The two looked at him for a second before they turned away from him.
Tony sighs in relief as he doesn't have time to break up another fight as they are on a mission. The three continue to go under.
Yukino doesn't know what she was expecting when she decided to join Jay-Jay's school, but she wasn't expecting His school to have many criminals in it. She knows that Jay-Jay is a forgiving Man as He spares all of His enemies and opponents, but she never would have guessed that Jay-Jay would teach criminals as well. She knows the reason criminals are at his school is to build connections and get stronger. She doesn't feel safe with them in school, but it isn't all bad as Jay-Jay is keeping a close on them and is doing a good job at it. 'Now, we have bigger problems than that,' Yukino thought. 'The Immortals are getting more restless as their tactics on us aren't affecting us. As much I hate to admit it, we're gonna need every one of Jay-Jay's students to fight against them. The Immortals will not rest until we are either disbanded or died. Neither will we.'
It was quiet between them. The three have never been close to each other. Yukino and Kane have always disliked each other as the two have very different personalities, Yukino and Tony are neutral about each other, but the two do find each other attractive, Tony and Kane...well, Tony is still bitter by the bar fight and Kane thinks that Tony should get over it as it wasn't that big of a deal.
'It's funny how Jay-Jay pair us together,' Tony thought as he looked at Yukino and then at Kane.'He knows that we don't get along so why pair us together? It must be another one of His training exercises. He always that trust and love make the team.' Jay-Jay has always been a bit of an enigma. He had the power to conquer the Omega Omnisphere and make existence His, but yet, He doesn't. 'That not even mentioning the fact He charges His classes for free.' Jay-Jay's school was the main reason being so popular across the Omega Omnisphere. Well, that and Jay-Jay Himself. He is pretty sure the school wouldn't be as popular if it wasn't the Fighter Himself was teaching. 'He a better man than me,' Tony takes out a cigar and lit it. 'If I had His skills and powers...I will be charging at least a thousand every month.'
'Ugh, Jay-Jay just has to pair with these two,' Kane thought as he scowls at Yukino and Tony. 'Yukino's a bitch and Tony complains too much. Why couldn't pair me with the other group? I like all of them.' He sighs. 'Then again knowing Him, it must be a team-building exercise as He loves improving us in all areas.' Jay-Jay is certainly a unique individual, to say the least. When he first met Him, Kane was expecting a large Man and Jay-Jay to be full of Himself and violent. However, Jay-Jay is not tall, extremely humble, and very peaceful as He always broke up fights between His students and encourage them to find peaceful ways to end conflicts. 'He certainly a strange one, but He is component. That's all that matters.'
"Help...us," A voice pleaded as a hand reaches out to them.
Yukino jumps back a bit from the sudden hand while Tony and Kane stopped in their tracks.
"Who are you?" Tony questioned.
"I'm...Bernard," The man weakly introduced himself. "I'm...the village chief. You...three are?"
"We are the All-Verses Rangers," Yukino answered. "We are also known as Jay-Jay's students." Yukino kneels down and put her right palm on his forehead
Bernard begins to feel better and his eyes light up. "All-Veres Rangers? I didn't know that y'all decided to become a team. I hope y'all planning on taking down the Immortals."
"Trust me, we are because they have been harassing us nonstop for three months," Kane said causing Bernand to smile. "Anyway, enough about that. Why the Immortals are targeting this village? It's nothing like them to attack a small village like this."
"I thought so too," Bernand said, he digs into his pocket. "However, I realized they were after this." He took something out of his pocket. The three lean forward to get a closer look and their eyes widened in shock.
"No way..." Yukino is speechless at what she is seeing.
"That's the All-Seeing necklace," Tony said, shocked that an ordinary man has the All-Seeing necklace. "How do you have that?"
"It was passed down in my family for generations," Bernand answered as he looked at the artifact. "My father and grandpa always told me how important this was, but they never told me it was the All-Seeing Necklace."
"Hmm, how much you are willing to pay for that?" Kane asked.
Yukino shot him a glare and Tony was wondering the same thing.
Bernard lightly chuckles. "I'm sorry, but this isn't for sale. There has already been enough trouble behind this necklace, let's not start anymore,"
"It was worth a shot," Kane shrugged.
Yukino rolls her eyes before facing Bernard. "What happened to the villagers? I see nobody here, but you,"
"Thankfully, the villagers managed to escape," Bernard said, his expression soon turned serious. "However, I don't know if the Immortals managed to find them. I must go and find them."
"We're coming with you," Yukino said. "There's no way you're going to find the Immortals' forces alone and they will do whatever it takes to get the All-Seeing Necklace."
"And we have some unfinished business with the Immortals," Tony said with an angry expression. "They will learn not to fuck with my car."
"As long I'm getting paid and see those bastards and their associates in the dirt, I'm in," Kane said as he cracked his knuckles.
Bernand smiles. "Excellent then. Let's not waste any more time," Bernand sprinted to the location of the villagers with the three following behind.
'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! FUCK!' The commander of the mercenary band thought as he watches the battle between his mercenary band and Jay-Jay unfold and to nobody's surprise, Jay-Jay is demolishing the fight. 'If you can even call it that.' The commander knew it was over once he saw Jay-Jay walking towards them. He heard of stories of Jay-Jay's combat prowess and this was the expected result. Then, why still fight against Him, you might ask? Well, Jay-Jay has spared all His enemies and He sees no honor in killing while the Immortals have no qualms about killing their employees. The commander knew what he was getting themselves into once he signed the contract between him and the Immortals. He knows that the All-Verses Rangers and the Immortals were fighting against each other. 'I just wanted to see Jay-Jay in action.' The commander watched the fighting attentively. 'And He exceeded His hype! I never someone moved with such grace and finesse. He uses His physical body very well as His strength, agility, stamina, and reflexes are all top-notch! I always like to think of myself as an excellent fighter, but I'm like a toddler compared to Him!'
"Alright, that's enough men!" The commander shouted causing the mercenaries to stop in their tracks and looked over to their commander. "I have seen enough! Lay down your weapons. There's no way we can against Him." The mercenaries sigh in relief as all of them drop their weapons quickly.
'Hmm, they give up quickly,' The commander thought as he walked over to Jay-Jay. 'I can't blame thought as I did the same thing if I meet God on the battlefield.'
"It's nice to meet You, Jayvon," The commander thought as he held his hand out for a handshake. "The name is Steel Eyes."
Jay-Jay accepted his handshake. "It's nice to meet you,"
"What brings You here?" Steel Eyes asked as he rests his hands on his hips. "It not every day to see the God of Combat."
"We came to keep the All-Seeing Necklace," Jay-Jay answered.
Steel Eyes' furrowed his brow at this. "This village contains the All-Seeing Necklace? No wonder why the Immortals are here in this small village,"
"Correct. It's unlike the Immortals to attack a small village," Jay-Jay said.
"So are You're planning to take out the Immortals?" One of the mercenaries asked. "I heard they are harassing You and Your students nonstop."
"We are," Jay-Jay answered while folding His arms. "They have been running things for far too long. It's time they are taken down."
The mercenary band sighed in relief. They are tired of the Immortals as much of anyone who knows the organization's existence is. Sure, the Immortals pay greatly, but they have so many enemies that it is beyond ridiculous, they treat their employees like shit and their leader is helluva racist. They are surprised that the Immortals didn't get shut down earlier, but hey, that's what happens when you are rich and powerful enough that you are able to get away with anything.
"Good," Steel Eyes said with a smile. "We are in Your hands now. What is your command?"
"I want you and your band to get out of here and meet Me at this location," Jay-Jay said as He hands the commander a card. "We will discuss your pay and the benefits of this job. I will make sure that the Immortals won't find your location, You have My word."
The commander grins. "You got it. Come on guys! Let's get out of here before the Immortals find out that we left,"
With that, the commander and his mercenary band left.
Jay-Jay head towards Yukino's group location.
Saya gritted her teeth as she shot an arrow into the red panda's eye. The red panda growls as his wound growl. The red panda dashed to her and swiped at her. Saya dodges by doing a backflip and she shoots two arrows at the red panda's back. The red panda sidesteps the attack and was about to retaliate, but Musubu got in front of him and she thrusts her naginata polearm. Sending the red panda 15 feet back and causing a shockwave that can be felt throughout the forest. Snake Eyes shot 6 shots into the red panda. The red panda roars in pain and stares at the three before bull-rushing them. He dives at them, using his body weight to crush them. Saya dives out of the way, Musubu rolls off the way, and Snake Eyes slides under the red panda before grabbing his tail and climbing to his back. Snake Eyes took his sword out and stabbed into the red panda's back. The red panda squeals as he begins to roll on the ground like crazy to get Snake Eyes off of him. Snake Eye holds onto the sword tightly as he begins to jam in further. Saya shoots more arrows into it while Musubu stabs and swings precise hits at the red panda. Tired of being assaulted, the red panda stomps the ground repeatedly causing the ground to tremble. Musubu and Saya lost their balance as they fall flat to their butts. Snake Eyes flew off the red panda and hit the ground hard.
Saya and Musubu groan as they get up while Snake Eyes immediately kip himself up.
"Oh, this red panda is tougher than I expected," Saya said, rubbing her head to soothe the throbbing headache as she looks at Musubu. "Do you have a plan, Musubu?"
Musubu shook her head. "I don't. We need to know the limit of this panda healing factor. It's the main reason why it is so thought besides its size. Let's continue to fight it so we can find its weakness,"
"Got it," Saya nods as she aimed her bow at the red panda before shooting an arrow at the red panda's head. The red panda dodges and aims his paws at the three as he shoots a wave of claws at the three. The three immediately scatter and dodge the claws. 'And it can shoot claws too,' Musubu thought as she sighed. 'Just our luck.' Musubu runs to the red panda and slashes the red panda's neck. The red panda hisses in pain before slashing at Musubu. However, the attack didn't connect as Snake Eyes got in front of Musubu and block the attack. Snake Eyes immediately unload two bullets on the red's panda face. The red panda winces in pain and jump back to recover. Unfortunately for the red panda, he isn't going to get time to recover as Musubu and Snake Eyes leaped toward him and begin to attack him in perfect sync while Saya shot arrows from the distance. The red panda roars in anger as he tried to counterattack, but the two ain't letting up and begin to attack more aggressively. "Don't let up! We almost have it!" Musubu shouted as she didn't waste a single attack as she and Snake Eyes made sure every strike counts. "Go down! Go down!" Saya shouted as she continue to fire her bow. The red panda is getting angrier by the second as the pain is too much to bear. He jumps up in the air while grabbing the two in the process. Musubu and Snake Eyes tried to pry off his grip, but the red panda is not letting go. Once they were high up in the air, the red panda begins to dive into the ground. They landed on the ground hard as it caused the forest to shake and sends a shockwave. The impact created a crater.
Musubu screams in pain as blood begins to pour out of her forehead while Snake Eyes tries to get up, but stops himself as a wave of pain passed through his head. The red panda growls at them and opens his mouth to eat them. Saya immediately got in front of them and puts two arrows for each eye. Temporarily blinding the panda. Saya grabs Snake Eyes and Musubu and immediately runs into the forest.
She puts them down once they were far enough.
"You two okay?" Saya asked in concern. "Both of you took a pretty hard hit there."
"I'm fine," Musubu groaned as she sits up. "That red panda is trouble."
Snake Eyes nods in agreement.
"There's no need to tell me," Saya said, she glanced at the red panda who is tearing through the forest to find them. "The Immortals argument on that red panda."
"I can tell," Musubu said, she tries to stand up, but she is too much pain and she fell back to the ground. "Damn, that animal did a number on me."
"You two stay put," Saya ordered as she grabs another arrow. "I handle that beast myself." She walked to the red panda, but she was stopped. She looked down and saw Snake Eyes grabbing her leg and slowly shaking his head.
"There no we are letting you take that thing alone," Musubu said as she gets up although with a bit of struggle. "We can still fight."
Saya is baffled by this. "Are you serious? I am no doctor, but I'm pretty sure you two either had a concussion or internal bleeding. Let me handle this, I'm strong enough to take care of this problem,"
Before Musubu could retort, the red panda appeared in front of them and he growls at them. "Time to put you to sleep!" Saya shouted as she is covered in a dark yellow aura. "Quick Shot!" The arrow flew at sub-relativistic speeds and hit the red panda. The red panda is launched high in the air and he landed on his head. The red panda is dazed by this and seeing that Saya takes advantage of this and begins to fire explosive arrows at it. The red panda roars in pain and back aways as Saya closed in on him. The red panda quickly dug himself a hole and enters it. Saya runs to the hole and aimed her bow at the hole. She saw nothing in it. 'Where he could be at?' Saya thought, frantically looking around for the enhanced red panda. She begins to rumble underneath her. Once she looked at the ground it was too late as the red panda comes from underneath it with his jaw wide open. Fortunately for her, Snake Eyes gather all his strength and dashed towards the red panda and cut his head off, breaking his blade in progress. However, the three of them knew it was far from over as the red panda grabs his head and reattach it back on. The red panda glared at the three with an expression full of rage and hate. The red panda charged at the two at relativistic speeds. The two braced themselves for this. Musubu landed in front of them and charged at the red panda. She stabs her naginata polearm in the ground and uses it to propel herself as she dropped a kick to the red panda's nose. The red panda's head winces in pain and it was sent through 400 trees.
Musubu felt a sharp pain as she fell to her knees and hold her side in pain. "Damn...that took more strength than I thought,"
Saya run to her and helped her up. "That was insane,"
"Oh, please, insane is in our middle name," Musubu joked.
"If you say so," Saya said, her gaze shifted to the red panda who looked unconscious. "Looks like we get him."
Snake Eyes shook his head.
Musubu slightly laughs. "I wish, but he not going down so easy,"
"Of course, he is not," Saya sighed.
"On the bright side, I think I figured out how we can get around his healing factor," Musubu said.
Saya snaps her head to her with a hopeful glint in her eye. "Really, how?"
"I noticed the longer this fight goes on the slower his healing factor gets. If we can continue to exhaust it we may be able to critically injure where it can't fight anymore," Musubu said.
"Now, I think about it, you're right," Saya said, she looked at the red panda whose wounds are slowly healed. Saya grinned. "Well, this makes our job much easier for us then. I will finish this quickly."
"As I said earlier..." Musubu got off Saya's hold and uses her weapon to support herself. "...You ain't facing this thing alone." She finishes as she shot Saya a look of determination.
Saya wanted to argue back, but she decided not to as she knows it wasn't going to go anywhere. She sighs. "You two are so stubborn. Fine, I won't stop you two, just don't push yourself too hard,"
Musubu lightly chuckles. "Can't promise that,"
Snake Eyes immediately shot three shots at the red panda. The red panda dodges the attack and shot a claw at Snake Eyes. Saya pushes Snake Eyes out of the way and the claw grazes her left arm. Saya aimed her bow at the red panda and Saya fired two explosive arrows at him. The bows hit and it sent the red panda skidding back as he growls, he runs to Saya and opens his mouth wide to take a bite of Saya. Saya rolls out of the way and shot another explosive arrow at the panda. The red panda stumbles back before he falls to the ground as he weakly groaned. 'Just as I thought,' Musubu thought, looking closely at the red panda. 'His wounds aren't closing as quickly and he is getting more desperate and aggressive. This is our chance to finish it.' Musubu advanced toward the animal and launched a flurry of attacks at the red panda. Their assault was brutal as Saya and Snake Eyes didn't waste a single projectile and Musubu made sure each attack was precise and put all her power into it. This fight has gone on long enough and they are finishing it once-for-and-all. "Let's end this!" Musubu shouted as she raised her weapon. "Impact Stomp!" Musubu's naginata polearm is covered in a white aura and she stabs her weapon into the ground. The attack exploded and it sent the red panda up in the air. The red panda landed on the ground hard and it was seemingly unconscious.
"Is that it?" Saya asked, hoping it was over so they go ahead and regroup with the others.
"I think so," Musubu said between her pants as she tries to continue to stand up, but she was out of her energy. The fight almost took her out and she fell to the ground. Luckily, Saya manages to catch her.
"I got you," Saya assured her in a comforting tone as she grabs Snake Eyes. "Both of you did well today."
Snake Eyes nods at the praise while Musubu smiled.
"Thanks, Saya," Musubu said as hissed in pain. "I should've listened to you. I don't think I can feel my legs."
"Are you okay?!" Saya asked with worry and panic in her voice. "You need me to take you to Jay-Jay?!"
Musubu smiles at Saya's concern. "I'm fine. I dealt with worse injuries than this and besides, I knew what I was signing for when we agreed to get rid of the Immortals once-for-and-all."
"That doesn't you should neglect your health," Saya muttered. "Let's me get to Jay-Jay, I'm pretty sure He has a healing spell." Saya picks the both of them up and begins to walk to Jay-Jay's location.
She froze in her tracks as she hears a low growl.
"Um...you might want to turn around," Musubu said, her voice full of shock and awe.
Saya slowly turns and saw the red panda glaring with a wrathful expression as he lets out a mighty roar.
"Okay, that is one tough motherfucker!" Saya said she is amazed that the red panda still has the energy to keep going.
"Damnit! I don't think I have the energy to fight anymore," Musubu said, frustrated at herself as her stamina isn't her strongest suit.
"Don't worry about that," Saya takes the two to a safe distance and puts them down. "I take care of this beast."
Musubu's eyes widen in shock. "You planning on taking that thing on alone?!"
Saya shot her a smile. "I am. Both of you are too injured to fight and I won't let that beast kill you two," Musubu wanted to argue, but Saya cut her off. "There is no argument about this. I'm taking care of this myself."
Seeing that Saya isn't backing down on this decision, she lets out an exasperated sigh. "Fine. Don't get yourself killed,"
"I won't," Saya said with a gentle said as she runs to the red panda.
The red panda smells her scent from behind him and he turns to face her.
"It's just me and you," Saya said. She immediately shot three explosive arrows at the animal. The red panda dodges the arrows and swipes at Saya. Saya dodged the attack and fire an explosive at the red panda's neck. The red panda flew back and he groans in agony as he looked at Saya with an angry look as he shot six claws. Saya dodges the claws and jumps off one of them and jumps off it as she shot two arrows into the red panda's eyes. She lands on the ground and reaches behind to take out an arrow. However, she feels nothing. 'Hmm, I'm out of arrows,' Saya thought as she sighed. 'I guess I'm gonna get close.' She slings her bow over her shoulder and took out her machete. She rushes to the red panda and begins to cut and slice him. The red panda growls as his eyes healed and swing her paw at her. Saya flew into a tree and spits out a mixture of blood and saliva. The red panda rushes to her and opens his mouth to chop her in half. Saya quickly recover and jumped over the red panda as she lands on her feet. 'Okay, that hurt,' Saya rub her left side to soothe it. 'He ain't strong or fast as we first started this fight, but I still need to be careful. I don't know what the Immortals did to it, but it was something.' Saya leaped to the red panda and aimed a diagonal cut at his neck. The red panda narrowly dodges the attack and swiped at Saya's side. Saya blocked the attack and she skids back a bit. 'It getting tired.' Saya dodges a stomp from the red panda. 'I can feel it. That blow wasn't as strong as others ones, I just need to wear it down and land the perfect blow.' Saya smirked as she dashed to the lizard.
Yukino's group is walking in the forest.
"We should be close to them," Bernard said. "I just hope they are safe."
"Me too," Yukino said.
"So Yukino, you single?" Bernard asked.
"Yes, I am. Why do you ask that?" Yukino questioned as they ducked under a branch.
"I was hoping we could go out sometime," Bernard answered with a glint of lust in his eyes. "What do you say?"
"I'm flattered, but my heart is set on someone else," Yukino declined.
Bernard shrugged. "That's understandable,"
Kane and Tony looked at each other. They knew what she is talking about, Jay-Jay. That is another thing they are puzzled about Jay-Jay. He doesn't seem interested in any woman. They don't know why He isn't interested in women as the hottest woman on the All-Verses Rangers has thrown themselves on Him...and men have too which they can understand because they have to admit, Jay-Jay is drop-dead gorgeous. They knew He is a single parent as He mention that He plays both roles to His kids. They just wanna know why He is still single. Could it be that He hasn't moved from His wife and that His heart isn't open to love? Could it be that He enjoys being single? Or could it be that He is married, but He is very secretive about it because of His occupation and reputation? Those are all good theories except for the last one as they have to admit that one doesn't make sense as He is open about having kids.
...Wait, why are they worried about any Man love li
'I need to find another group of friends,' Tony thought, he cautiously looked around the forest for any suspicious activity. 'It's quiet. I don't like it when it's quiet.'
Kane yawns. 'Not gonna lie, this has been pretty boring. I thought we would have come across something by now,'
"We here," Bernard said as he and the group stopped in their tracks. The group sees a beautiful waterfall. "Just right behind this waterfall." He enters the waterfall.
The three looked at each other with puzzled expressions, but they brush it off and enters the waterfall.
They were met with the sight of a huge and pretty cave.
"Hmm, this some cave you got," Yukino said with an impressed look as she look around.
A small smile formed on Bernand's face. "Thanks. It is hard to come across caves like this. Now, come on they shouldn't be too far away from here,"
The group walked further into a cave. Looking for signs of people here. After a couple of minutes, they hear noises from their left side. They turned to the source of the noise.
"Could it be them?" Tony asked.
"There's only one way to find out," Bernand said as he quietly walked into the cave and he peeked out of the corner.
Indeed, it was his people. Children were playing quietly as the adults warned them about the mercenary band, people were gossiping, medics were treating the wounded, and people are training to take down the mercenary band. Their forms are poor however as none of the villagers are warriors as they are peaceful people and trouble rarely comes to them.
"My people!" Bernand shouted, catching everyone's attention as their eyes widened in shock to see their chief alive again. "Missed me?"
The villagers immediately stopped what they were doing and run to their leader. Soon, Bernand is bombarded by questions.
"Did they take the All-Seeing Necklace, chief?!" One of the villagers asks, her voice filled with worry.
"We are happy to have you back. How did you escape from them?" Another villager asked, relieved to see their chief again.
"They didn't destroy the village, did they?" An older woman asked, concerned about the village.
Bernand is touched by their reactions as he lightly chuckles. "One at a time please," The villagers instantly went quiet once he said that. "They did try to take the All-Seeing Necklace, but I managed to fool with a duplicate one, the village is still standing, and I escape with the help from Jay-Jay's students." Once he said that the three walked into the room with their guard up. The three let their guard down once they saw it was just the villagers.
"Oh, you're okay," Yukino said. "I thought you were attacked or captured."
"Well, thank God, he wasn't," Kane said. "I don't have time for a wild goose chase."
The villagers' jaw drops at the three. They heard stories about Jay-Jay's school and how you can learn anything from there and it is free. They always wanted to know how true it was as it seemed too good to be true.
"Woah, what Jay-Jay's students are doing here?" A little boy asked.
"We're here to investigate this village," Tony answered as he looked at Bernand. "Now, that I think about it...how come the Immortals didn't search for the All-Seeing Necklace earlier?"
"Oh, trust me, they tried," Bernand said. "It's just that my ancestor was clever. You see, my ancestor had a best friend named Kazko who was at the time a major target because he worked for an organization that tried to dethrone the Immortals. Sadly, it didn't work as the Immortals quickly shut down the government. However, Kazko didn't give up and tried everything in his power to take down the Immortals. His attempts were in vain as everything he tried didn't work. Frustrated at this, he made one last ditch attempt and use the All-Seeing Necklace to see what would work against the Immortals. The All-Seeing Necklace gives him the answer and Kazko takes advantage of it. He learned all kinds of techniques that would stop the Immortals. However, the Immortals caught wind of this from one of their spies and they quickly raided his home and captured him. The Immortals search all over his house for the necklace, but Kazko had a backup plan he gave the necklace to my ancestor as he knows the necklace is in safe hands with him. My ancestor knew how important the necklace was and immediately went into hiding in a very secluded place and created a home here."
The three were intrigued by the story as the story of the All-Seeing Necklace has always been a bit vague in its details.
"That's interesting," Yukino said before she shot a questioning look. "But why you didn't use it to take down the Immortals? It seems to know what would work against them."
Bernand lightly chuckles. "Trust me, my ancestors and I tried to use it against the Immortals, but it only works when it feels a special connection to someone,"
"It does?" Kane questioned, Bernand nods at this causing him to scoff. "Talk about a major drawback..."
"That it is," Yukino sighed. "Talk about a complicated artifact."
Everyone laughs a bit at her.
"Anyway, I decided to give this to you," Bernand said as he hands the All-Seeing Necklace to them.
This shocked the three of them.
"Are you really handing us that thing?" Kane asked while looking at him like he was stupid.
"I am," Bernand answered.
"Why?" Yukino asked, she is shocked at this as this was a very dangerous artifact to be giving away.
"Well, you three are a part of the All-Versea Rangers," Bernand smiled at them. "Besides, the Immortals have been ruling far too long. We have been waiting a day like this for the longest. Countless organizations have failed to take down the Immortals. However, we finally have a team to take them down... it's y'all. We heard of the things that Jay-Jay's students are capable of and it is otherworldly, to say the least. Not only that, but we heard that all of you have been taking the Immortals' bases behind your Teacher's back which takes guts. So take it and I hope it is more useful to all of you than it was to me."
"We are flattered by this, but how do you know that we will not use this for selfish reasons?" Tony asked.
"Because Your leader is right behind you," Bernand said, pointing behind them.
The three looked behind them and indeed Jay-Jay is standing there with His arms crossed.
"Damn, six months of training with You, and I still can't feel Your movements or hear them," Kane said in an impressed tone.
The villagers all looked at Jay-Jay with awestruck and with heart in their eyes as they heard He was very attractive, but they never knew He was this attractive as some fainted while most of them admired His beauty.
"Well, being trained has its perks," Jay-Jay said as He looks at Bernand. "And don't worry about the mercenary band, they are working with us."
"That makes sense," Bernand shrugged. "I knew working for the Immortals have to suck."
Tony tilts his head in slight confusion. "You're not mad at those motherfuckers?"
Bernand shook his head. "I am not. They didn't mistreat us as they know we pose no threat to them and they only captured us to keep the Immortals happy as they don't kill innocents,"
Tony thought about it for a bit then nod as it makes sense.
"I promise that we take good care of this," Jay-Jay promised as He held His hand.
"I know You won't us down," Bernand said, he put the necklace on Jay-Jay's palm. "Make sure You and Your team teach those bastards a lesson."
"We will," Yukino said.
"And we will make sure to keep watch of this village," Jay-Jay said. "The Immortals won't be happy to hear that they get what they wanted."
Bernand lightly laughs. "You're right about that. Thank You for this. We are forever in your debt. If You and Your students ever nothing, give us a call and we make sure that y'all will want nothing."
Kane smirks. "We appreciate that,"
"No need to thank us," Jay-Jay said. "We're just doing what any decent would have done. Now, let's go and find the others." Jay-Jay walked to Musubu's location with the three following suit.
Saya is panting heavily as blood drips from her head. She is bloodied and bruised as she and the red panda have been going at it nonstop for the past 30 minutes. 'I don't know if I can go any longer,' Saya thought before she winces. It even hurts to think, but she has to push through. Musubu and Snake Eyes are injured and this red panda is nine times out of 10 with the Immortals. 'I won't let us be captured by the Immortals.' Saya aimed at her machete with a determined expression. The red panda groans as he jumped at her. Saya twirls her machete before raising it above her head. The red panda slammed his paw on Saya to crush her. Saya blocks the attacks, but the strength behind the blow pushes into the ground a little bit. Saya gritted her teeth as she uses her strength to push the red panda back. The red panda isn't giving in so easily as he continues to put force into it. Saya is being pushed further into the ground. 'Come on! Come on! You got this Saya!' Saya mentally screamed at herself as she uses her other hand to push the red panda. 'Dig deep! Dig deep!' Saya tries to put more strength into it, but she couldn't as her body started to give in.
'Damnit!' Saya thought, her knees begin to buckle as the red panda begins to crush her. 'I push my body as I far could! Damnit! I should have trained harder!' Saya thought as she uses what little strength she has left to push the red panda off, but it was no use as the red panda begins to crush her harder as he roars. Saya closes her eyes and her life begins to flash behind her eyes as she looks back at all the memories she has made, the obstacles she has overcomes, and most importantly, the All-Verses Rangers. She may have known them for only six months, but she made many friends there and found a father and mother figure in Jay-Jay. She started to see them as a family as she trusted them and respect them and she knows the feeling is mutual. She would hate to leave them...
.
.
.
.
'No!' Saya mentally screamed as her eyes shot open. 'I won't leave them behind them! I still have a full life ahead of me!' With a sudden burst of adrenaline and a second of wind, she begins to push the red panda off of her. Surprising the red panda. The red panda regains his composure and tries to push her down. However, it wasn't working as Saya get his paw off of her and throw him 25 feet away. She stands up and shoots the red panda glare filled with determination and pain. "It's time we finish this!" Saya shouted as she aimed her machete at him. The red panda growls before shooting a claw at her. Saya cuts the claw in half and dashed toward the animal. The red panda shoots a barrage of claws at her. Saya either dodges or cuts the claws in half as she continues her advance. Seeing that Saya is getting close, the red panda stomps the ground hard as a shockwave was sent throughout the forest as the red panda hoped it through Saya off balance. Saya almost lost her footing, but she stayed strong and runs faster to the red panda. The red panda roars before he runs to her. Once he was close, he slashed at her. Saya ducked under the blow and looks at him with a poker face. "This is it!" Saya covered her machete in Ki. "Finisher blows!" Saya moves at relativistic speeds as she attacked the red panda all over with precise and hard-hitting blows. Once she was done, she sheathes her machete and the attacks exploded simultaneously. The red panda screams in agony as he falls over and he tries to attack, but he was too weak to do so and he passes out.
"Finally...it's over," Saya panted heavily as she tries to walk back to Musubu and Snake Eyes, but she didn't get far as she immediately fall flat on her face. "I'm...so tired." Saya fights against her exhaustion, but it was no use as the exhaustion wins out against her as her eyes close. She suddenly feels a warm and comforting sensation going through her body. 'Oh, that feels heavenly. I wonder what it is,' Saya open her eyes and she was met with Jay-Jay healing her and with Musubu, Snake Eyes, Yukino, Tony, and Kane standing behind Him.
"You should be good as new," Jay-Jay said while removing His left palm from her stomach.
Musubu pulls her into a hug. "Oh, you okay! That was very brave of you to face that thing alone and we are thankful for doing it alone,"
Snake Eyes nods in agreement.
Saya smiles and returns the hug. "Oh please, both of you did the same thing,"
Kane scoffs. "Right, it also was extremely stupid to go against that beast,"
"Is there a problem, Kane?" Saya asked, pulling away from Musubu and glaring at Kane. "Because you always have something to say to me."
Before Kane could retort, Yukino cut in.
"This red panda has been experimented on," Yukino eyed the red panda and is amazed at his size.
"Whatever they put into this animal has worked," Tony said. "I doubt I would have taken this damn beast alone. Nice work Saya." Saya beamed at the compliment.
"Enough of all that," Kane said as he looks at Jay-Jay. "Are we taking this thing with us?" Kane is curious about what they have put into the red panda and he wants to see how much money he could make off the stuff.
Jay-Jay nods. "We can't let this red panda run around or else it would destroy in his sight,"
"Hmm, well, I always said we could use a class pet," Musubu said with a small smile. "I wonder what should name it."
"We worry about that later," Yukino said catching everyone's attention. "Right now we should hurry back to the basement and run some tests. I have a feeling whatever stuff is in him will make him worse."
Everyone nods as they head back to their car.
Jay-Jay's school, 6:32 A.M.
Jay-Jay's school is empty as most of the students are either resting or setting up spy networks to get info on the Immortals and their associates. However, two are at sparring hard in the dojo.
"Oof!" Kise grunted as Han Bom landed a hard punch on her stomach. Han Bom followed up with a straight rear punch to Kise's cheek. Kise stumbles back a bit before she regains her bearings. Han Bom sends a downward roundhouse kick at Kise's leg. Kise blocked up and round knee Han Bom's gut in retaliation. Han Bom is sent back a few feet as she regains her footing. Kise immediately runs to her and sends a flurry of precise and hard-hitting blows all over Han Bom's body. Han Bom coughs up saliva and looks for any openings in Kise's form. After a while, Kise sends a jump kick, however, it wasn't executed perfectly. 'An opening!' Han Bom thought as she caught Kise's leg, surprising Kise as Han Bom slammed her to the ground. A sudden wave of pain passes through Kise's body causing Kise to groan. Han Bom immediately got on top of her and begins to wail at her. Kise tries to push her, but Han Bom is budging as she isn't letting go. Han Bom sends a hard punch to Kise's face. Luckily for Kise, she moved her head out of the way just in time and punched Han Bom in the face. Kise manages to get her leg free and kicked Han Bom in the gut. Han Bom rolls off of her and Kis kips herself up.
Han Bom gets up and rubbed her stomach to soothe the pain. "Damn, you still hit hard as ever,"
"I have to say, you have greatly improved since our last sparring session," Kise praised, impressed that Han Bom is keeping up with her and landing hits on her.
Han Bom grinned. "Thanks. That's what training nonstop with Jay-Jay does to you,"
"I see," Kise smiled before her expression turns serious. "However, show me how much you improved."
Han Bom smirks. "You ask for it,"
Han Bom dashed towards Kise. Kise braced herself for this as she can tell that Han Bom isn't holding back anymore. Han Bom sends a straight punch. Kise prepares to block, but it was a feint as Han Bom immediately switches it up with a backfist strike. Kise groans in pain as she stumbles back and Han Bom wastes no time as she immediately sends a flying knee to Kise's face. Kise flew through a good few away before tumbling on the ground. Blood spills out of Kise's nose and Kise holds her nose to soothe the pain. She looks at Han Bom with an impressed look. 'My, she has certainly improved!' Kise thought. 'I remember when she couldn't last long in sparring sessions against me or land any hit on me. Now, she has me on the ground. I'm proud of her!' She snaps out of her thoughts when Han Bom runs to her and sends a stomp. Kise dodges the attack and quickly gets up. Han Bom scoffs before performing an axe kick and aiming at Kise's jaw. Kise moves her back and sends a diagonal kick at Han Bom's chest. "Arrgh!" Han Bom grunted as she stumbled back a bit. She narrowly dodges a spinning elbow strike from Kise. Han Bom jumps back a bit to create some distance. The two looked at each other with a fierce glint in their eyes. The two charged at each other and cocked their fist back. The two women put every ounce of their power into their fists, intending to end their sparring session. Once they were close, they launched a left hook at each other faces. Sending a shockwave that could be felt throughout the city and the two are blown back by the force of their attacks and they landed on their backs.
The two are panting heavily and are covered in their sweat.
"Wow, that sparring session sure was something!" Han Bom cheerily said with a toothy smile.
"That, it was," Kise said between her pants as a small smile formed on her face. She is proud of Han Bom's progress and is eager to see Han Bom's potential. 'She certainly has potential. If she keeps up with her training there is no telling what kind of monster she would be.'
Han Bom manages to get up and limped to Kise. She offers her hand to Kise which Kise accepts as Han Bom helps her up.
"I have to say, Kise, you're still strong as ever!" Han Bom praised as she looked at Kise with admiration in her eyes. "Not only that, but I can tell your skills have improved during our last sparring session! I still have ways to go before I could catch up with you!"
Kise smiles. "Thank you, but don't sell yourself short. Your skills have vastly improved as you were kept with me and you executed your attacks perfectly. Not only that, but your strength has greatly improved as you manage to hurt me."
"Thanks!" Han Bom jumped at the praise, but she quickly winces in pain as she caress her cheek. "Ow! My, we did quite a number on each other!"
"That we did," Kise said as she holds her side. "Let's go some ice and ointment for the pain."
Han Bom nods as the two limps to the ice and ointment.
After a couple of minutes, the two get what they need and apply to places that hurt the most as the two seat across from each other.
"I think I should've taken it easy today," Kise groaned as she rubs her cheek with ointment.
"Hey, this has been a good learning for me," Han Bom said with a small smile as she holds ice against her side. "Besides, we need all the training we could get because fighting against the Immortals will not be an easy task."
Kise nods in agreement. Fighting against the Immortals...she was still in disbelief that they are going through with this decision. Then again, she can't blame them for going through with the decision. The Immortals have been harassing them nonstop for 3 months and they tried to kill them various times. Not only that, but they have been terrorizing innocent people and it's time for the Immortals to see an end to their organization. However, Kise is scared of going against the Immortals if she is being honest with herself. 'I mean they are more experienced than all of us combined,' Kise thought, rubbing the ointment on her upper back. 'And the powers they possessed...is godly. Jay-Jay is an excellent teacher and leader, but I doubt even His training could help us defeat the Immortals. Still, the Immortals have gotten away with their crimes for the longest now and it's time they have been brought down.'
"Kise? You there?" Han Bom asked while waving her hand in Kise's face.
Kise broke out of her thoughts and looked at Han Bom. "Oh, I'm sorry, Han Bom. I was thinking about something,"
"You were thinking about the Immortals, were you?" Han Bom asked.
Kise nods. "I was. It's still unbelievable that we are going against them,"
"That it is, but it's happening and we are in for one helluva of a ride," Han Bom sighed. "Well, I don't have any regrets."
Kise furrowed her brow at this. "What do you mean?"
"Let's be honest with ourselves, it very high possibility that we die against the Immortals," Han Bom answered, looking out of the window. "We are going against an organization that is older than all of us combined and they have more members in their organization than we do at our school. I made peace with my death because at least I will die doing something good."
Kise slightly nods at Han Bom as she gets it.
Before the two could say anything else, they hear a car pulling up.
"Huh, they are back already?" Han Bom asked as she looked at the clock. "They come back earlier than I expected."
"I'm glad they are safe," Kise smiled as she looks Han Bom. "Come on, let's go talk to them." Han Bom nods as the two walked outside.
They were met with the sight of a giant ass red panda on top of the car.
Han Bom gasps and put her hands on her cheeks. "Oh my God?! Is that a red panda?!"
"It is," Jay-Jay answered.
"Where do you find it?" Kise asked, looking at the red panda with an awestruck expression. "And why is it so big?"
"Musubu, Snake Eyes, and I found in the forest of the village," Saya answered. "The Immortals experimented on and train him to kill us. Be careful with this animal as it is very powerful and quick for its size."
Kise nods. "Duly noted,"
Han Bom skipped to the red panda and begins to rub it causing everyone to either sigh or lightly laugh at her.
"Of course, she still wants to pet it," Tony muttered under his breath.
Kane shakes his head at her.
Kise looks at Jay-Jay. "How was the mission?"
"It went well," Jay-Jay answered as He reaches into His pocket. "We also find this." He pulls the All-Seeing Necklace.
Kise's eyes widen in shock. 'No way, that is the All-Seeing Necklace?! It's prettier than I expected,' "How do y'all manage to find that?"
"The village chief give us that," Saya said.
"So that explains why the Immortals were so interested in that village," Kise stroke her chin. "It's impressive that the villagers manage to hide that necklace for so long."
Musubu nods in agreement. "It's very impressive. What should we do with it, sensei?"
"We hide it," Jay-Jay said, putting the necklace back into His pocket. "The Immortals will stop at nothing to get their hands on this."
"Sounds like a plan," Yukino said, her gaze shifting to the red panda. "So where should we keep him?"
"We keep him in the basement," Jay-Jay answered as He petted the red panda. "That way we keep a close eye on him and have a class pet that certain members wanted for a little while. Once we find a way to keep him from destroying the ecosystem, we release him into the wild or see if he wants to stay with us."
"Well, we have a dangerous pet then," Saya said.
"At least we don't have to worry about anyone stealing our shit and getting away with it," Tony joked causing everyone to laugh a bit.
"You're right about that," Han Bom said as she rubs the red panda's belly. "Oh, I love him already! What should we name him?"
Everyone contemplates what to name him. He is a cute animal so some believed that he should have a cute name while others think it should have a badass name as it is a beast and a very powerful animal.
"We name him Acotta," Jay-Jay said, everyone's attention shifted toward Him. "It fits him well."
"Acotta?" Musubu said, to see if the name roll off her tongue well and it did. "Hmm, I like how the name sounds."
"I like it!" Han Bom said as she continues to rub Acotta. "It's a name that benefits him well!"
"It's certainly unique," Kane said.
"Don't worry, Teach. We will make sure Acotta," Kise assured Him.
"I know," Jay-Jay smiled. "I know that most of you are responsible."
Everyone slightly smiles at Jay-Jay's praise.
"Anyway, class is going to start," Jay-Jay said, He looks at the time and say it is 6:52 A.M.
"Well, let's go ahead and get ready," Musubu said. "I can't wait to see our team's reactions to the new class pet."
Han Bom giggles. "It's something to look forward to,"
The group enters the school and heads toward the locker rooms.
Leaving Jay-Jay and Acotta alone.
Jay-Jay turns to Acotta. "Let's get you washed up boy," With that, Jay-Jay led Acotta toward the bathhouse.
Rebirth Tower, 7:35 A.M.
Zeuxoli sighs as she looks at the files of the mercenary band they sent to Deathfall. She is currently walking toward Damarion's office. 'Just our luck. Of course, they wanted to quit,' Zeuxoli thought, not at all surprised that another mercenary band quit on them, but she was still disappointed by the fact. 'Things haven't been going well for us ever since Jay-Jay appeared. I never would've thought we have a major threat to our reign, but here we are. Not only that, but He has loads of students and they are starting to become a threat as well. Fortunately for us, His students are still newbies compared to us so should be able to defeat them with superior experience and knowledge...it is just Jay-Jay that is a major threat I don't know how old He is, but I know He is strong enough to defeat our best warriors with ease and He seems to be around for a quite while now as we can't a single record about Him or His family.' Ever since the Immortals noticed that Jay-Jay is a massive threat to their reign, they look all over the Omega Omnisphere for information about Jay-Jay. Sadly for them, they came up with nothing as they found nothing, but His heroic deeds. 'They always say He is skilled at everything, but I didn't believe it would be true. Now, I'm starting to believe that is true as He covered up His tracks well.'
She made it to his office and knocked on the door.
"It's open," Demarion said from inside the office.
Zeuxoli opens the door and enters the room.
"Ah, Zeuxoli," Demarion said, not taking his eyes off his paperwork. "It's rare for you to drop by. Take a seat, I know you want to discuss something important."
'He could always read like an open book,' Zeuxoli thought as she sit down across from Demarion. 'Then again, we're the ones that founded this organization.'
It's true as the two first meet each other when the Independence Defiance first started. The two were leaders of their respective armies and their armies meet when they wanted to discuss an alliance with each other as they were losing in the war. At first, the two were neutral about each other, but their mutual respect between them as the two heard each other's deeds and how good of leaders they are. Soon, the two begin to grow closer together as they proved themselves during battle and show how far they are willing to achieve their goals. After years of fighting and running, they managed to run the Independence Defiance causing a huge outcry and people begin to organize rebel groups. Sadly for the rebels, they were no match for Demarion and Zeuxoli's combined might as the two armies made short work of them.
Zeuxoli snaps out of her thoughts when Demarion snaps his fingers.
"You there?" Demarion asked in a slightly annoyed tone.
"I'm sorry about that," Zeuxoli apologized as she scratched her head. "I was thinking about something."
"Well, whatever it is. Think about it later," Demarion said, leaning back in his chair to get comfortable. "What is it that you want to talk about?"
Zeuxoli sighs. "It's about the mercenary band we hired," Zeuxoli slid the files to Demarion. Demarion picked up the files and flips through them, he saw that it was their papers and that they quit. Also, it contains many of their associates and businesses pulled out as they feared being caught and shut down. "Yeah, it not looking good for us, Demarion. We've lost a lot of revenue thanks to many businesses cutting their contacts or pulling out of deals they agreed to. Not only that, but governments are being slow with the resources they owe us. Whatever the cause of this is, we need to find out or else our shareholders will be pissed."
Demarion slams the files on his desk and clenches his fist as he knows who is behind all this. "It's pretty obvious who the caused of all this, it's Jay-Jay and His fucking students," Demarion's voice is filled with fury as he takes a deep breath to calm himself.
Zeuxoli wanted to be shocked, but she couldn't be as she knew that once Jay-Jay start making a name for Himself...He was gonna be in trouble as He doesn't seem to fear anyone or anything. Not only that but He was also charismatic as hell as she even liked Him even though she don't know the damned Man.
Demarion shoots Zeuxoli a questioning look. "Why wasn't that first guess? They are the only ones that can give us this much trouble,"
"Look, I'm just scared okay," Zeuxoli said with a frustrated tone. "I've been feeling paranoia these last few days because we finally have someone that seems He like could match us and He has loads of students behind Him who are slowly becoming excellent fighters. We have to find a way to quickly put a stop to them or else our future is in jeopardy."
Demarion says nothing as he stands up from his seat and walks to Zeuxoli. He kneels to her level and caresses her cheek, comforting Zeuxoli as her nerves slowly relaxed. After a couple of seconds, Demarion finally spoke. "I understand how you're feeling," Zeuxoli looked up at him. "I never thought our reign will never be in danger either, but here we are. We need to find a strategy to take down Jay-Jay and His students."
Demarion walks to the window and looks out of it as he begins to ponder in thought. This is the trickiest team they have ever seen. At one point in time, he would say Jay-Jay's students will be easy pickings, but he isn't so sure that is the case anymore as most of them he heard about have proven to be one-man/woman armies. As much as he hates to admit it, Jay-Jay is an excellent teacher as it is impressive to have so many quality fighters in a such short amount of time. Not only that, but Jay-Jay seems to have a vast amount of connections. 'I mean how else is He able to afford a school as big as that?' Demarion thought. 'He also seems to have very little use of money as I heard rumors about Him not needing to survive and that He made all His clothes Himself. Jay-Jay is certainly an enigma.' A wicked smile crept on Demarion's face. 'Which makes it more interesting to figure Him out. The question is how.'
"Umm, boss," Zeuxoli said. "Have you come up with a plan?"
Demarion snaps out of his thoughts and turns to face her. "I'm working on it,"
"Oh, well, I have thought of a plan," Zeuxoli said as she rub her head. "However, I'm unsure it will work."
Demarion furrowed his brow. "Oh, what is this plan?"
"It's better if I show you," Zeuxoli stands from her chair and head towards the lab with Demarion following behind her.
After a couple of minutes, the two made it to their destination.
Zeuxoli puts the code in and the computer scans her eye.
"Welcome, Zeuxoli," The computer said as the door opens and the two walked into the lab.
They were met with the sight of inventors working on robots of various shapes and sizes.
"Ta-da!" Zeuxoli exclaimed with glee in her tone. "I've been working on this project in secret as I wanted to be a surprise for you and the rest of the Immortals, but now is the perfect time to use them."
Demarion is awed by the robots. The robots had intimidating designs and all of them were made with rare or divine metals. The weapons they also had were nothing to play with as legendary warriors, gods, and goddesses have wielded once before or they were also made with rare or divine metals and materials.
"I have to say this amazing," Demarion whistles as he couldn't his eyes off the robots. "You outdid yourself with this project."
Zeuxoli smiles at Demarion's praise. "Thank you,"
"When they are ready?" Demarion asked.
"Well, we already have tons and they should be ready now," Zeuxoli answered. "We can send them out right now if you want."
Demarion shook his head. "As tempting as that sounds, it's better if we wait,"
Zeuxoli nods. "I understand," Zeuxoli rubs her hands together. "Oh, I can't wait to see these babies in action! With these, we can finally get rid of Jay-Jay and His meddlesome students!"
Demarion slightly chuckles. "That we will,"
"I can't wait to see how these babies will hold against His students!"
"About that, I don't these machines to go after Jay-Jay's students. Instead, I want all of them to be programmed to go after Jay-Jay only,"
Zeuxoli raised her brow. "Oh, why is that?"
"Think about it," Demarion said as he turned to face her. "He is the main threat to us. Sure, His students are quickly becoming great warriors and they have lots of untapped potential, but He is the main cause of that. He has proven to be an effective teacher and the students seem very close to Him. If we take Him out now, then His students will be lost and will be too devastated to fight back against us. I believe it can work...all we need is patience."
Zeuxoli stroked her chin as she pondered on what he said. It could work Jay-Jay is the main problem as He has proven to be an excellent instructor and He is influential as He does have hundreds if not thousands of students. If they take Him out now, it will save them a lot of headaches and His students will be easy pickings.
"Alright, it's a solid plan, I'm in," Zeuxoli said as she looked at Demarion.
A sinister glint appeared in Demarion's eyes. "Good. Now, all we need to do is wait. It's very tempting to send those machines after Him right now, but it's not a good idea as these machines need more work in them." 'I hope You had Your fun being a teacher, Jay-Jay because Your time is up.'
Herma reads the paper and she is surprised at what sees.
'They're a new team name the All-Verses Rangers and they are being led by the legendary hero Jay-Jay and they are planning to take down a group called the Immortals!?' Herma thought as she takes a quick sip of her coffee. 'Okay, things are starting to get serious! Well, it was already getting serious, but this definitely confirms it!'
She snaps out of her thoughts when she hears a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" Herma asked.
"It's me, Terog," Terog answered from the other side of the door.
Herma sighs. "Come in,"
Terog opens the door and pulls up a chair and sits on it. "Have you the read the paper?"
"I have," Herma groaned. "Things are starting to heat up and they are serious about taking us down,"
"No need to tell me," Terog said as he smashes his fists together. "Oh, I can't wait to get my hands on those pipsqueaks! They will know not to interfere with our business!"
"Calm down, you big brute," Herma said causing Terog to scowl at her. "I understand you're angry, but don't make any rash decisions. Let's think up a strategy!"
"Oh, I have a strategy!" Terog said angrily. "I say we take all of our forces and show them how big we are! They will back off then. If not, then we hit them everything we got!"
"That's a little excessive, don't you think?" Herma deadpanned at Terog. "And no, we are not doing that. That be a waste of resources."
Terog sighs in disappointment. "Fine! What do you think we should do since you're the smart one?"
"Since you have the strongest armies, take a small force of them and send them after Jay-Jay," Herma said. "And leave the rest of All-Verses Rangers alone."
Terog furrowed his brow at that. "Why should we leave His students alone?"
"Think about it. Jay-Jay is the main threat to our empire and He seems to be building an army as He does hundreds of students at His disposal. With Him out of the picture, His students' morale would drop so low that they wouldn't be a threat anymore,"
Terog thought about what Herma said. His students do seem to care a great deal about Him even though they have only known Him for six months. 'It could work,' Terog thought. 'It will save us a lot of paperwork and meetings with Him gone. Although, it is a shame I can't fight Him as I wanted to see how I match up against Him and if the hype behind Him is true.' He remembers the first he wanted to go after Jay-Jay when he first about Him taking their old associates and shutting down the businesses they have partnered with. However, the rest of the Immortals talk him out of it as they believed it would be wise to go after Him as they thought someone will eventually take care of Him. 'And they were wrong. I knew I should have gone after Him when we first heard about Him! He was already becoming a problem back then! Now, we have a major headache on our hands! This could be avoided if they listen to my advice, but no, we do it the logical way! Fuck that!' Terog mentally screamed, he is bitter about that situation and will be for a while. "Alright, consider it done."
Herma smiles. "Splendid! When your armies will be ready?"
"I give it about a couple of days," Terog answered.
"Okay then," Herma said, she tries to hide the disappointment in her voice, but Terog's picked up on it.
"That as fast as I could get them ready," Terog said, a sly smile forming on his face. "And besides, didn't you say it better to wait than to be hasty?"
Herma gives him the bird. "Fuck you,"
Terog laughs. "Oh, come now, don't be a hypocrite! Besides, these things take time,"
Herma sighs. "I know, it's just that I want to go ahead and get rid of Him. I don't know if Demarion has read the read newspaper yet, but if he did, whew, we are in a rant," Herma and the other Immortals know how much of a hot-head that Demarion is and he loves to rant no matter if it slightly inconveniences him or pissed him off to the highest point. Given how this a serious situation, oh boy, they are gonna be hearing Demarion for a couple of days. "Hopefully, my noise-canceling earbuds come in as I don't want to listen to his rant."
Terog snorts. "His rants really bother you?" Herma nods at the question. "Hmm, his rants entertain me."
'Of course, his rants enter you,' Herma thought as she roll her eyes. "At least, someone finds his rants entertaining."
"I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that loves his rants," Terog said with a shrug of his shoulders.
Herma gives him a questioning look. "Oh? Well then, name me someone who loves his rants,"
"I'm pretty sure Zeuxoli loves his rants," Terog named.
Herma scoffs as she folded her arms. "She is his best friend so she doesn't count,"
"Why she doesn't? That's like saying you don't count for anything because you're my friend,"
"I'm not about to get into an argument with you about this," Herma rolls her eyes and stands up from her chair. She heads to the bookshelf and picked a book. She sat back down and opens the book to read it. "I'm going to read my book so please go away."
Terog didn't listen as he leaned forward. "Why are you trying to get rid of me so quickly? You started an interesting debate, I wanna hear more of your perspective,"
"That's too bad as this conversation is over," Herma's eyes shifted back to the book.
Terog scoffs. "Alright then, I'll leave you alone for now. I shall be back," With that, Terog stands up from his seat and exited out of the room.
Leaving Herma alone.
'Finally, some peace and quiet,' Herma thought, flipping a page. 'He can be annoying and reckless at times, but I can't help, but love him.'
Herma starts to reminisce about when she first met. It was at the end of the Independence Defiance. Demarion and Zeuxoli were looking for recruits as they needed more for the plan they were working on. The two run into Terog and Herma during the Battle of Hell as the two were infamous bandits and they were scavenging the city while it was under heavy battle. Demarion and Zeuxoli were impressed at what they saw and decided to recruit the two onto their team. At first, Terog and Herma were on their tiptoes about each other as both of them heard of the other and prepared themselves in case one of them decided to attack the other. However, as time passes, the two begin to closer together as Demarion and Zeuxoli saw potential chemistry between the two so they put Herma and Terog on a mission. The two reluctantly took the mission as they felt uncomfortable working with each other, but they brush it off. The two start being comfortable around each other as they haven't killed each other during the mission. However, what certificate their friendship is when they were suddenly by a group of mercenaries. Once the fighting begins, the watch eaches backs, sides, and front as they worked well together. After the fighting was done, the two sat down and begin to get to know each other. Ever since that day, the two became best friends as they sit together when it is lunch, work on plans, go to meetings, and discuss random things. The two are like brother and sister.
'Ugh, I been reminiscing about the past for too long,' Herma thought as she groaned. 'Now, I have to find where I left off.'
"This is some situation we are in," Terog said as he walked down the hallway. "I know that Jay-Jay's character was gonna be a problem when He first appeared. It's fine though as I and Herma have a plan to take care of Him. Although, I'm a bit bummed out as I won't be able to fight against Him myself." Terog begins to think about facing Jay-Jay and how it will go down. He can see it taking place in place in an open field and he and Jay-Jay staring each other down. He makes the first move which successfully hits Jay-Jay, sending Him flying before tumbling to the ground. Terog leaped to Jay-Jay and immediately begins to send a barrage of various attacks. After a while, he finally stops and he can see Jay-Jay's bloodied and battered body. Terog lets out a roar of victory. 'Yes, that is exactly it would go,' Terog thought with a toothy smile. 'If I manage to defeat Him myself...I would become the most feared thing across the Omega Omnisphere. People would never cross again if they know I defeated Jay-Jay. Damn, now I'm really tempted to go after Him now.' Terog sighs. 'Calm down, Terog. Remember we are supposed to be secretive. Besides dealing with fame would be tiresome.' Terog enters his office and closes the door.
