It was February 10th. There were no rain clouds in the sky and it was the right amount of cold to go outside. A perfect day to be outside and have a picnic. Which was what the popular band, Stray kids, was doing. Except for their vocalist, Jeongin. He told his members he would be very busy today, as he'd planned to sing a cover and upload it to their YouTube channel. Which was a huge lie, he just wanted to have some alone time without his nosy members. Don't get him wrong he loved all of them but when Felix and Jisung started playing video games, all you could hear were the loud screeches and game controller throwing. Then Changbin would start yelling at them which led to Bang Chan starting to yell at Changbin and it would soon be pure chaos.
Now that he was finally alone he would also open the birthday presents he left scattered on his floor for two days. His band had been busy so he never had time to open them or thank his fans, family, or friends. Jeongin rolled off his bed with a blanket wrapped around his body. He wasn't asleep, he was just... resting his eyes! But he was rocking that I-just-rose-from-the-dead look, his hair looking like a bird's nest all tangled up in knots, his clothes wrinkled, and his eyes droopy. But did he care? No, he was home alone no one was going to tell him to take a shower or brush his hair. Jeongin just simply washed his face and brushed his teeth. Now it was present opening time! But before starting he started playing Day6. He was streaming their new single, The book of us, Negentropy; Swallowed up in love.
Finally, he was ready! Jeongin ripped open present after present getting excited at every little thing. He got letters, clothes, stuffed animals but his favorite was the white puppy with a pastel blue ribbon around its neck. He dug around for a letter or a name to indicate who it was from but there wasn't one and instead, he found a pink heart-shaped box. He ran his fingers through his hair as he admired the beautiful box. He opened it and a delicious smell wafted under his nose. A white piece of paper fell onto his lap. It read 'Special cookies eat only 1 a day.' There was something else written on the bottom but it was smudged, no matter how hard Jeongin tried to read it he couldn't, it only ended up hurting his eyes.
"Jeongin could you let me in?" He recognized that voice immediately.
"Hold on. I'm coming" Jeongin quickly shoved everything under his bed except for the cookie box he left on his bed.
"Why aren't you with the rest of the group?" He questioned as he let Seungmin in.
"I could ask you the same thing"
"You know I'm busy!" Jeongin yelled a little louder than he expected. Seungmin made his way to Jeongin's bed.
"Busy doing what? Eating cookies?" Seungmin picked up the pink box of cookies. "Can I eat one?"
Jeongin hesitated for a second remembering what the paper said. "Sure... but only one!"
"Okay, I already had lunch anyway, Also you should change" Jeongin rolled his eyes but obeyed the elder.
It took him about 30 minutes to pick out an outfit, he wanted to look good for Seungmin since...he may or may not like him. Nobody knew besides his stuffed pig, Puffy. However, today, he was feeling brave today and believed he'd gather the courage to tell him how he feel. It would be stupid not to do it now, they we are alone together! Which will never happen ever again.
"Jeongin? You okay in there?" Seungmin asked from outside, interrupting his thoughts.
"Y-yeah," he answered.
"Well did you change? Because I wanna watch a movie with you since we're alone." His heart skipped a beat, Seungmin wants to watch a movie with him? Alone? He was too busy freaking out that heforgot to answer.
"Jeongin?"
"O-Oh sorry yeah you pick it while I get blankets."
"Okay."
He got two of my fluffiest blankets down from his closet along with the white puppy that he'd opened before.
Not even three minutes into the movie he found himself feeling sleepy. He subconsciously wrapped his arms around Seungmin's waist, sinking into his warmth.
"Are you sleepy sweetheart?"
He blushed hard when he heard that come out of Seungmin's mouth. "W-what did you just c-call me?"
"Oh I'm sorry did that make you uncomfortable? I'm sorry," Seungmin hugged Jeongin and ran his hands through his hair.
"No y-you didn't," he said as soon as we separated from the hug.
"Are you sure?" Jeongin nodded. Seungmin stayed quiet and pulled Jeongin closer to him, kissing him on the cheek.
"What was that for?" he giggled, my heart beating faster than flash could ever run.
However, Seungmin got serious. "Jeongin, could we talk?"
"Sure." His voice sounded relaxed but he was scared as hell on the inside. Seungmin turned off the TV. He looked at me and said, "Jeongin, I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time and it's perfectly fine if you hate me afterward but, after you joined Stray kids and we all debuted I started to develop feelings for you. I never told you this because I've always been sure you liked Hyunjin an-"
Jeongin crashed his lips onto Seungmin's. They were soft, just like he'd imagined. "So, I guess you don't like Hyunjin?"
Jeongin laughed and shook his head, "He's too busy getting beat by Changbin for flirting with Felix." Seungmin laughed. "You're right" He looked over at the clock and frowned. "The members will be back soon do you want to go to your room?" Jeongin smiled and nodded.
"Wait should we clean up?" He looked around at the mess of blankets and spotted Jeongin's new puppy.
"Oh, you opened your presents?"
"Mhm, Wanna see what I got?"
"Yeah sure," Seungmin answered and picked up the puppy handing it to Jeongin.
"But out of all of those, this puppy is my favorite," Jeongin said holding up the white puppy in the air.
"Do you like it more than Puffy?" Seungmin asked, pointing to Puffy, laying face down on the floor.
"NO! I love Puffy!"
"More than me?"
"Well I mean we aren't dating-"
"Would you like to be my boyfriend?"
"YES! I mean yeah sure whatever. It's cool." Jeongin hid his face in his hands,
"Don't hide your pretty face!" Seungmin pulled my hands off my face and kissed my cheeks.
"I lo-"
"WE'RE BACK" Hyunjin's voice boomed through the dorm. Jeongin rolled his eyes and Seungmin sighed, he kissed Jeongin and dragged him out of his room.
"Guys we're dating"
Felix choked on a piece of gum, Jisung dropped his phone and tripped over it, Minho and Changbin dropped the basket and blankets they were carrying, Bang Chan tripped over the basket, landing on his face and Hyunjin lost grip of the silverware. It was chaotic. "Uh, I think they need a moment to let that sink in, let's go back inside the room," Seungmin whispered. "Good idea" Seungmin and Jeongin locked eyes once we were sure the door was closed. Seungmin couldn't hold back from kissing those soft, plump lips that belonged to the love of his life. Their kiss went from gentle and loving to rough and heated in a matter of seconds.
"W-We can't do this he-here, n-not now" Jeongin was so out of breath but he managed to get those words out. Seungmin climbed off him and sat down. He stood up and rested on his elbows. "Why not?" "The members are here! Can we just cuddle?" Jeongin opened his arms, ready for Seungmin to be in them.
Felix burst into the room, the others not far behind.
"How the-" Jeongin started.
"Chan... I broke the door"
"FELIX! OH MY GOD" Chan snatched the broken doorknob. Felix busted into the room way too fast that the lock and doorknob were broken.
"It was locked, how did you do that?" Seungmin questioned, he was shocked, to say the least.
"Heh, I guess I'm stronger than I thought!" Felix looked at his boyfriend, Changbin, and smirked.
"No"
"But But but" Felix whined and sat down on the bed, pouting.
"What are y'all doing here? Jeongin and I were busy, shoo bye-bye" Seungmin was shooing his members away when their dad- I mean leader spoke up.
"We just wanted to congratulate you guys"
"Yeah!" Jisung chimed in "You guys are the youngest and we want to set some ground rules"
"Jisung, that's Chan's job, not yours" Hyunjin stated
"Hush I'm older than them too!" Chan rolled his eyes and pushed everyone out. He sat down in front of the new couple and began talking
"Let's get one thing straight, No sex"
"I-" Jeongin was about to protest but Chan interrupted.
"NO! You guys are too young for that"
"We're 20!" Seungmin said.
"I don't care! You're way too young!" The couple rolled their eyes
"Fine we won't do any of that," They said
"Good" Chan stood up and walked out "Oh and I'm not fixing the lock so you guys don't do anything"
"OKAY GET OUT!" Seungmin threw a pillow at Chan, hitting him on the head.
"Seungmin I have a question for you"
"What is it?" He asked.
"Why did you just randomly confess?" Seungmin hesitated for a second, letting his brain process the question.
"I-" He started "I don't know, After you gave me that cookie I just had the urge to."
Jeongin scrunched his nose in confusion and got up. He picked up the cookie box that had fallen on the floor. He took out the white paper he read earlier and gave it to Seungmin.
"That's the only thing that was in the box" Seungmin turned the paper and there were more words.
"Did you read this?"
"No"
Truth cookies- works on crushes and secrets. Lasts an hour.
"Well, that makes a lot more sense" Jeongin giggled. Seungmin threw the paper away and pulled Jeongin into a passionate kiss.
"It doesn't matter at least we're together now" Jeongin nodded and kissed Seungmin again.
"What are you going to name that puppy?" Asked Seungmin
"I'm not sure what should I name it?"
"How about... Seung?" Jeongin smiled and nodded
"Your new name is Seung" Jeongin chuckled
"Whoever gave you those cookies is a genius."
"I know I wished there was a note from them" Jeongin frowned
"It doesn't say their name?" Jeongin shook his head
"I looked everywhere, on the puppy and box"
"Oh wait the puppy came with the cookies?"
"Yeah but now I'll never know who to thank" Seungmin engulfed his, now boyfriend, in a hug.
"It's okay don't worry, How does cuddling and watching a movie sound?"
"It sounds perfect! But just know I'll probably fall asleep it's almost ten" Jeongin shook his head
"It's okay if you fall asleep I'll be here," and with that, they picked a movie, soon Jeongin fell asleep in Seungmin's arms.
