It’s a bit odd, but Tristan managed to get up early today. He doesn’t feel tired or anything. On the contrary, he feels amazing. He sleeps very well for the first time in a while.
He stretches deliciously, his hands meeting with rays of sun.
The sun caresses his lover's gorgeous face, making him smile. He dares to kiss them on the nose before leaving the bed carefully to not wake them up.
In the kitchen, he prepares breakfast whistling and humming. He’s truly in an excellent mood!
Usually, he didn’t take the time to cook in the morning. But now that he is fully rested, he wants to make a delicious meal. He grabs an apron and the eggs. Today they will have a brunch!
The eggs simmer in the pan, and the bacon snuggles to them. The sweet odour of coffee fills the kitchen slowly. Soon followed by the contents of the pan. It made Tristan’s mouth water.
Duke enters the room half an hour later. On the table was a real feast. Omelet, pancakes, toasts, juices and hot coffee.
“Hello beautiful” he greets his lover, sipping a cup of coffee.
His lover stands for a few seconds in the door frame. Their soft and curly hair cascaded on their shoulders, and Tristan smiled fondly. Duke is stunning as ever even though they were just getting up. They answered with a grunt and quite a stare. They didn’t have their coffee yet, so it was kinda useless to try to communicate with them.
Duke pours one cup of coffee and drinks right away the hot beverage.
“So, do I have a girlfriend or a boyfriend today?” Tristan asks, teasing a bit his lover.
Duke opens the refrigerator and they frown their eyebrows, but Tristan doesn’t see it from his place.
“Today you’re single. You have nothing since you ate my cheesecake” Duke states.
“Oh shit, babe I’m sorry!” Tristan panics right away.
He vaguely remembers having a little snack in the middle of the night. He was half asleep, he saw the beautiful cake and didn’t think twice before eating it.
Duke glances at him, smoothing their attitude. At least, their boyfriend seems sincerely guilty. Tristan stands up quickly.
“Tristan?” Duke blinks many times seeing their lover grabbing his shoes and his jacket before leaving their apartment.
A few minutes later, Tristan came back, sweaty and out of breath. Intrigued, Duke came to meet him at the entrance.
“Here…For you…Another one…” he declares trying to catch his breath. He presents to his lover a box from the bakery nearby.
“Thank you” Duke smiles tenderly, moved by the sweetness of Tristan.
They take the present from their boyfriend’s hands and place it on the table. Then, they put their lips on their boyfriend’s cheek. Their hand on the other one.
Tristan smiles when Duke gives him another kiss, on the lips this time.
What a sweet reward!
“Maybe I’ll do it again if you treat me this way” Tristan teases.
“Don’t push your luck” Duke warns him, before kissing him again.
