Oliver was just sitting, watching, with no emotion in his face, in his eyes. Oliver had been injected with a drug that makes you face all of the trama you have ever been through.
Oliver was standing on the City Hall stairs making a speech when he was injected. He stopped talking and was silent for a few minutes before he woke up with the new broadcasting the whole thing. The press bombarded him with questions, but he just said “I quit as the Mayor of Star City effective immediately, don’t follow me.” Then he turned and left.
After about a month Barry had enough of giving his boyfriend space, so he ran to where Oliver retreated when he felt like the world was too big. Lian Yu. It was home for Oliver, but only his closest friends knew that. The press was surprised when they had asked Barry if he knew Oliver was.
“It’s his home. He was there for 5 years it shaped him into the man he is today. When he left he was a playboy when he returned he was a survivor and now is the Mayor of Star City. He never talks about what happened but he is healing. With all the trama it caused him it also was his life for 5 years.”
Barry ran to Lian Yu, he already knew what he was going to say when he arrived. He saw Oliver there hunting.
Oliver heard someone behind him and knew how it was. It was his husband about to beg him to come home. “I’m no hero Barry. I’m a hunter, a killer. I released something when replaying my past. It’s that I like to kill. My whole mission was only an excuse for it. Anatoly was right about so many things. When he saw me in Russia he told me the good can’t separate man from monster. I should have listened to him. Barry the man you looked up to all those years ago was a lie… is a lie. Joe was right all those years ago. I don’t deserve forgiveness or to be apart of society. I love you Barry Allen-Queen. But I can’t come back. Please forgive me. Go to the plane it will explain everything my love. Goodbye.”
Before Barry could respond Oliver bit down on something in his mouth and died within seconds. Barry couldn’t save him for all his speed when the one he loves most was in danger he was useless.
Barry ran to the plane after he burred Oliver’s body in the Lian Yu graveyard. He found a box full of notes and books. He opened one that was titled YEAR ONE…
