"What's Animal Crossing?" Sakura inquired seeing the grin on his crushes' faces.
They each seemed excited. Nirei was the first one to speak,"It's basically a game where on an island you can make your character do several activities, daily tasks, collect items and build stuff. It's pretty diverse in what you can do, easy to play and pretty relaxing, so I think it's the perfect game for you, Sakura-san."
Sakura's heart fluttered at the thought that Kiryu and Suo spent so much time looking for a game that he could play without any problem. "..oh ok then."
"Here's the console, Sakura-chan let me just set everything up with the Tv then we can play on a big screen." Kiryu said while handing him the console and then going near his big LED TV to set it up.
"Kiryu-san, let me help, I'm pretty good at games, so I know how to set it up." Nirei offered excitedly but also a bit of his shyness lingered in the question.
Kiryu looked back at Nirei and then smiled softly, "Sure Nirei-chan come on then. Thanks for the help."
"I-t's no problem." Nirei stuttered because Kiryu-san was just too pretty and why was he looking like...that at him. It made him feel things he probably shouldn't and also hope for stuff he is probably imagining. Before he could lose himself to overthinking, he shook those thoughts away and went to help, leaving Sakura alone with Suo.
Sakura left alone with Suo meant Suo, the little shit that he was will try anything he could to make Sakura blush.
It still surprised Suo how little things made the boy shy and blush so often. It was as much endearing as it was sad. If Suo ever met the people that made Sakura so insecure of himself, so hesitant to trust people and so disbelieving that people could love him for him and not for some unsavoury motives, he will beat them up so bad, they will regret their birth itself.
"Sakuraaaa-kun~" Suo singsonged. "Are you worried about being bad at playing the game? If you are, don't worry, we made sure to choose something really simple that even you would be easily able to play it."
"HAAH? What do you mean by 'even you' don't think I'm a little kid, ill beat you idiots at the game, just you see." Sakura's challenging streak rose up and his nerves got forgotten that Nirei's sudden absence by his side caused. Though he again got flustered and his face had gone red in anger or embarassment, Suo didn't know but it was cute anyway.
'Just what i wanted.' Suo thought. 'After all he couldn't let his crush's first gaming experience be shitty due to mere nerves and anxiety now, could he?' If all it took to remove some of that tension and nerves was to make his crush flustered, he would do that.
See, Suo wasn't blind, both he and Kiryu had noticed Sakura and Nirei's growing nerves and tenseness. He could guess it was either because of both of them or one of them and taking into the fact that both him and Kiryu were observant, he was pretty sure it was because of both of them. They were making both of them nervous.
Though it made him a bit hesitant to go forward with making his affections obvious, he really didn't think their affection was the problem here. It was the uncertainty of their intention towards them. It was that probably eating Sakura and Nirei up inside considering their self esteem issues.
He and Kiryu planned to make their intentions clear by the end of this sleepover anyway if all goes right and if they become more sure after observing their reactions to each of them in a combined setting. By now, he was sure of Nirei's feelings towards him and Sakura but not Kiryu.
Similarly, Kiryu had let him know earlier while searching for games that he was sure about Sakura liking him back but he wasn't sure about Nirei's feelings towards him or Sakura's towards Nirei or Suo.
So time to test it then. On top of that, he's sure he will be punched if Sakura hated his advances since Kiryu was right here. So if he was allowed, well that would mean he felt something for Suo and he really hoped Sakura did. It has been excruciating, holding himself back since the first day he saw Sakura fight with Togame. That day, he felt something broken in him slip back into place. He felt a wild feeling, he wanted this beautiful man to be his.
It wasn't love at first sight no, but something similar nonetheless. That only grew after the whole KEEL fiasco and Sakura falling sick and not wanting to bother any one of them. It broke his heart but he will be there. They will all be there from now on to teach Sakura that he wasn't a bother and how much he and his other not yet partners loved him.
Suo shifted closer to where Sakura was sitting and leaned in to whisper in his ear, "Sakura-kun I never said you will lose..still you got flustered so easily, you look really cute when you get like this."
Sakura froze. His thoughts short-circuited with Suo's close proximity and when he heard Suo finds him 'cute'.
"Wha-" He blushed and averted his eyes from Suo which were staring intently at him but he could also detect the fondness in them which was making him confused and overwhelmed.
Suo stared amused yet fondly at Sakura's reaction. Got ya. He then decided to be a bit more bold and first checked if Kiryu and Nirei were looking their way and when he saw they weren't, he got further up in Sakura's face and pecked his cheek, hoping that Sakura won't punch him for this.
Sakura gaped at what Suo did so boldly looking unrepentant yet he could also sense a hint of nervousness from him. 'Did Suo just flirt with me and also peck me?Just what was happening today? First Kiryu, now Suo? This was all getting confusing quickly.' Sakura thought hysterically. He and Nirei had held hope that Suo might have feelings for Sakura too but Kiryu was an unknown factor still considering the fact Kiryu wasn't aware what Suo did just now despite all of them being in the same room.
The peck had left him a flustered mess not to mention the teasing beforehand. But he didn't know what to say so he just mumbled out a "why?" mindful of Nirei and Kiryu in the room too.
"Why?" Suo hummed. "Because you're beautiful, attractive, cute and marvellous whom I want to keep staring at for a long time, Sakura-kun." Suo smiled one of his rare genuine smiles that made Sakura's heart beat so fast that he could practically hear it pounding in his ears. That smile made him feel things....a certain warmth he always hesitates to indulge in thinking it wrong because of him liking more than one person.
But this was basically Suo indirectly letting him know what he feels for Sakura and stupid Sakura doesn't know how to approach this situation with his other two sources of affection right there, few feet away in the room setting up the game together.
This night was turning out to be real messy right from the start. Sakura sighed but then made up his mind. "Suo are..you..do you have feelings for me?" Sakura said bluntly. Fuck feelings. He was a straightforward guy anyway. He will go mad if he kept dancing around this complicated situation any longer. They all are in the same room anyway.
Suo looked shocked at the bluntness and how despite blushing he approached the matter directly instead of diverting it. But he quickly composed his expression and softly smiled at him, "I do. But do you Sakura?"
"I-...its complicated." Sakura said finally after stuttering at first but looked at Suo and then glanced at both Kiryu and Nirei forlornly like he was admiring something for the last time before things went wrong.
Suo was confused at why Sakura looked like he was going to lose something precious or that his heart will get broken when he was the one that just confessed but then when he noticed Sakura's glances between him and Kiryu and Nirei. He understood.
'Oh. So he likes us all after all. He probably thinks I like just him or ....will react badly to his feelings for them too.' Suo thought.
Suo wanted to wait for a few hours and see how the night goes but his teasing led to an abrupt confession he didn't expect to give yet. He thought Sakura would avoid him for a few hours and work up the courage to ask him questions later.
Well, this works for him too. He waited to catch Sakura's eyes and smiled reassuringly. "I think I can handle complicated, Sakura-kun." He gave a sideway glance at Kiryu and Nirei and just nodded indicating to Sakura that he understood what Sakura was talking about.
Sakura's eyes widened. "You-...i don't - i- mean..."
Suo smiled fondly and grabbed Sakura's hands in comfort which made Sakura stop stuttering out half formed responses. Suo's hands were warm and Sakura blushed again. "I think we all need to have a conversation before anything, don't we?"
Sakura looked up hesitantly at that still nervous but Suo's unruffled demeanor calmed him down. He didn't look panicked so he might know something that he's not telling Sakura and they needed to have this conversation anyway or it will drive Sakura mad sooner than later.
Sakura looked up in determination, mustering up the courage he always feels when he's fighting someone and squeezed Suo's hands firmly and nodded. "Yeah I guess it's been long overdue anyway."
"Kiryu-kun, Nirei-kun, come here for a bit please!"
