Rainbow Dash Comes Out

Summary:

Rainbow Dash decides to come out to her human friend Kole.

Notes:

Just a cute little one shot. If this does well, I may do more MLP stuff in the future.

Work Text:

It had been a few weeks since Kole just sort of showed up in Equestria, and things had been going well for him. He had very quickly befriended pretty much every pony in Ponyville at this point, and even got a job helping Pinkie Pie bake at Sugarcube Corner. So things were going pretty well, all things considered.

Kole was currently trying to relax after a long day of baking, and was just about to drift off to sleep, when he heard a knock at his door. Kole sighed, before getting to his feet and stretching.

He opened the door, partially expecting it to be Twilight waiting there to ask him more human questions. Instead, he was surprised to see Rainbow Dash standing there.

"Oh, hey Dash. How's it going?"

"Things are going good. Can I come in?"

Kole motioned for her to enter, before the two of them sat down on the couch. Kole got up and went to the kitchen, only to come back a few seconds later with some tea.

"So, what did you want? Is Rarity bothering you about modeling for a dress again?"

Rainbow Dash looked down at the floor, her cheeks flushed slightly.

"Well, I figured that since we were friends, I should probably tell you something. I'm-"

"You're a lesbian."

Rainbow froze, before looking up at Kole, who was casually sipping from his cup of tea.

"I'm sorry?"

"You heard me, Dashie. You're a lesbian."

"B-but, how did you know? I didn't even know for the longest time!"

"Because you suck at hiding it."

"What, no I don't! Hell, I hid it so well that I didn't even know!"

Kole simply gave her an unamused look, before standing up from the couch.

"Alright, follow me."

"Wait, where are we going?"

"To prove that you can't hide your gayness to save your life."

A few minutes later, and the two of them were standing at the front gate to Sweet Apple Acres.

"So, why are we here again?"

"You'll see."

As they waited, Kole looked over to Rainbow Dash, who was already blushing slightly.

"You know, pink really stands out against blue."

"Shut up."

Before Kole could respond, the sound of hooves on dirt caught their attention. They looked forward, and noticed Applejack coming towards them.

"Howdy, Kole. Howdy, Rainbow Dash. What brings you two here?"

Kole looked over at Rainbow Dash, who looked more like Pinkie Pie at the moment, before he responded.

"Well, AJ, I was just stopping by to make sure you're alright. It's a scorcher today."

"Well, shucks Kole. I appreciate the concern, but I'm fine. Although..."

Kole perked up slightly.

"Do you need something?"

"Well, in order to stop myself from overheating, I have to stop every few minutes and spray myself off with the hose. And I was just wondering if, since you're already here, you wouldn't mind spraying me while I work instead. That way, I don't have to keep starting and stopping all the time."

Kole thought for a moment, before looking over to Rainbow Dash, who was practically steaming with embarrassment. He leaned down and whispered into her ear.

"So, do you want to see her wet or not?"

"...I wouldn't say no."

"That's all I needed to hear."

Kole stood up, before focusing back on Applejack.

"Well, as much as I would love to help, I've got plans. But Rainbow here would love to hose you down."

Rainbow Dash swallowed nervously, glaring at Kole.

"Oh, no, I wouldn't want to-"

She was interrupted by Applejack looking at her, a sweet look on her face. Rainbow thought for a moment, before nodding quickly. As the two ponies walked towards the field, Kole took this as a sign for him to leave, and headed back to his house.

It had been a few hours since Kole had gotten back home, and he was currently trying to get some rest. Before he could doze off, he heard a knock at the door. He smirked to himself, before walking over and opening the door.

Rainbow Dash was absolutely covered in hickies, and Kole had to stifle a laugh as she walked in, before laying down on the couch. Kole made his way over to her.

"So, how did it go?"

"Well, it turns out that Applejack is surprisingly flexible."

"Oh? And is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

Rainbow Dash didn't respond, instead simply staring up at the ceiling, her hair ruffled.

"I'll take that as a good thing, then."

"She wants to go out with me tomorrow, Kole."

Kole was taken aback by this.

"Damn, already? Well, that's great!"

Rainbow looked up at him.

"So, you don't mind that I'm a lesbian, then?"

"Of course I don't, Dashie. You can date whoever you want, as long as it's legal and makes you happy."

Rainbow was quiet for a second, before dashing over and hugging Kole.

"Thanks for helping me."

Kole, who was still a bit shocked by the hug, didn't respond. Instead, he simply hugged her back.

"So, when are you two getting married?"

Rainbow Dash gently punched him in the shoulder.

"Yeah, I deserved that."
