Chapter Text
"What time is it?" Luca asked, realizing that it might be time for bed soon. If so, he'll have to get out of his room so that Mr.Lumi finds him somewhere and tells him it's bed time.
Ethan just pointed at the clock, not really looking at it. He was focused on the terrarium on his table.
"You know I can't tell the time!" Luca said annoyingly, as if his brother was mocking him or making fun of him.
"Oh, right! Sorry-" said Ethan "I totally forgot. It's 7:25pm, or 19:23 if you want to be more correct"
"When will you learn how to read the clock anyway?" asked Ethan
"Once somebody teaches me how to?"
"Yeah, so probably in a year or two?"
"What makes you guess that?"
"Well, I was 8 when Nathaniel teached me how to do it" he explained, " but I also know that Marius was 7 when Uriah was teaching him"
"Wait, so Murray knows how to read the clock?"
"Yeah, you're the only one who doesn't know that yet"
"Oh, that just sucks" Luca said, looking down annoyingly
"Haha, suck it" Ethan said with a smirk
"So umm, how long until bed time? I have to know so I know when to leave"
"Well, your bed time is at 8 so that's for about 35 minutes"
"Oh, umm-"
Ethan sighed, of course, he doesn't know how much is 35 minutes "that's when that big claw moves to 12"
"Oh, okay!" Luca said happily. He was happy that he could at least understand that.
More time passed, as the two boys where talking, gossiping and discussing different stuff. When the big claw moved to 10, Ethan told Luca to leave the room so Mr.Lumi can find him.
Mr.Lumi is just going to tell him that it time for bed, and wish him a goodnight sleep. But if Luca needed help getting ready, he wouldn't get it from Mr.Lumi. He would firstly ask his brother Ethan, then his cousins, and only then would he go to an older person, a responsible adult, that would be one of his uncles.
Luca left the room, knowing that he won't have to wait for Murray sense he's a 10 year old now, that's double digits! His bed time is at 9 now, sometimes even 9:30!
As Luca was walking through one of their many hallways, he saw Mr.Lumi.
"Luca, it's time for bed now. It's almost 8, and I want to you be healthy and feeling quite refreshed in the morning. Sleep is one of the most important thing in life, especially for younger minds"
"Okay Mr.Lumi, I'll go right away."
___________________________________________________
It's now 3am in the Solar Mansion. Everyone was supposed to be in bed by now. Ethan, Venancio and Marius where supposed to be in bed by 11, considering they're teens. Salem, Nathaniel, Uriah and Judah are adults, so they don't actually have a bed time, but either way they're all expected to be in bed by 1am. Mr.Lumi is an older man, so he usually goes to his room at 10pm.
So what was everyone doing at this time, when all of them are supposed to be sleeping? Considering that even the adults are supposed to be in bed by now. Plus, it's 3am for Sol's sake.
They're all up, walking around the mansion, doing their favorite things, doing anything they couldn't do throughout the day because Mr.Lumi wouldn't allow them to.
They all had do be veryyy quiet while they do that, and they know. Mr.Lumi could wake up any second and all of them would be dead.
Almost everyone doesn't even sleep till 3am, they're usually waiting for the time to finally be able to do something, go talk to someone or simply do something that Mr.Lumi wouldn't be so pleasant hearing, like if he heard that Venancio, Marius and Ethan have such a foul vocabulary, where they insult each other like nothing. He would also be horrified to find out that Judah, Uriah, Nathaniel and Samuel know that, and approve of that vocabulary simply because the three of them are teenagers and that's a totally normal teenage behavior.
Only Luca and Murray actually sleep until 3am, but their brothers wake them up when they can leave their room. Murray is also capable of staying up until 3am, but once 3am finally comes and it's time to leave the room and do stuff, he simply has no energy for that. That's why he usually sleeps now and tells his brothers to wake him up.
"Murrayyy, get upp" he hears a whisper
"hmm" a mumble escapes his mouth
"Do you wanna see the stars tonight or no?" Marius said
"Of course I do" he answered with a raspy voice
"Then get up pipsqueak" his eldest brother whispered
"Ven, don't call me thattt"
"Whatever, let's just go. I bet Ethan already had some more plans for tonight." Venancio whispered
"Yeahh, he said that he's going to need to find Uncle Nathan for something? I forgot" Mars explained, while still whispering
"What would he need Uncle Nathaniel for?"
"We don't know dumbass"
"Venancio, stop calling me thatt" Murray said annoyingly "it's not even funny"
"It is to me" he smiled "let's just go now"
It was quiet in the Solar mansion. Not like it ever wasn't. But this type of quite was different, it's was more alive. If something was alive it ment that it was brighter, so bright colors will appear on his canvas.
Uriah was currently in the arts and crafts room, his favorite. This was one of the only rooms that could be messy all of the time. Because "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", Mr.Lumi said, and "you must take value into the materials that you use to create".
Uriah was currently painting a picture. He started this project a few days ago, so he's still not finished. He's drawing two figures, one of them being Harpocrates, the god of silence, secrets and confidentiality in the Hellenistic religion, the Greeks also adapted him. The other figure was Aletheia, the personified spirit of truth and sincerity from the Greeks.
When hearing this, you've probably thought to yourself how those are polar opposites, but I beg to differ. Polar opposites to Aletheia would be Dolos (Trickery), Apate (Deception) and the Pseudologoi (Lies), all gods from Greek Mythology.
But for some reason, Uriah decided to go for Harpocrates. Why?I guess we'll just have to try our hardest to understand his unique mind. He's an artist, don't judge.
"Nathan, I know it's you. And please don't jump out of somewhere and scare me half to death, I'm might mess up this piece" he whispered
Appearing from the shadows, Nathaniel reveals himself, slowly but surely.
"Hello Uriah" he whispers "Whatchu working on?"
"A painting" he simply answers
"Ohhh, can I see?" Nathaniel whispers excitingly
"Sure mate, just give me a moment" he answered
"Ohh, and who are those people in your painting?"
"For this piece I chose Harpocrates and Aletheia" Uriah started explaining "Harpocrates is the god of secrets and Aletheia is the god of truth basically"
"Ohh, that's nice!! Aletheia is so bright compared to Harpocrates-"
"It looks like that, but it isn't. That's just the background playing tricks on you. I'm not even half way done anyway"
"What should you call the painting?"
"I'll think about that once I finish it" he whispered
"What about..." Nathan paused for a second, trying to think for a name "Oh I know!" he whispered
"What about..."Silent Truths, Simple Lies" "
"...I actually like that one a lot, I might actually use it, or at least it's going to be an inspiration for the name"
"Gald to help!" whispered Neptune
