   Summary

   We were assaulted on our homeworld for no reason we consider valid. The Ethereals tried to conquer and experiment on us and that is etched deeply into our psyche.

   The unknown will hurt us, it is not to be trusted. Before this we looked to the stars with wonder, hope, space was the final frontier, something to conquer and explore without fear. But now?

   Now we look to the stars and feel... dread. Space has become this vast yawning void, ready, willing, and able to swallow us whole if we so much as flinch. But we have to push out there, we have to learn, have to know what's out there. Because otherwise it will come to us, and it will lay siege to Earth.
