Not a Second Longer

Summary:

Takeda can't wait to be married to his beloved prince. Turns out, Prince Ukai can't wait either.

Notes:

The second part of my little prince-and-tutor AU and another story for HQ Married Week 2024! I needed to have a spicy story, I couldn't just leave it open like that.

Work Text:

Takeda knew that the night before one’s wedding the expectation was to be excited but nervous. Mostly what he felt was calm. He was going to be marrying the man he loved. They would vow eternal fealty and devotion to each other in front of all those people. It was all that he had wanted, it was what he was meant to be doing. He only wished that time would move faster so he could be in his beloved’s arms already.

It was proper for the two grooms were to be separated from the time of their engagement until their wedding day. This was mainly done to avoid children out of wedlock, and while this wasn’t an issue their union could have, they were bound to follow the tradition all the same. Still, Takeda had been so busy teaching in the mornings and learning all of the manners and rules of royalty in the evenings, he only had time to dwell on missing Prince Ukai as he prepared for bed. Which, of course, was what he was doing right now.

He knew it would be hard to sleep, the excitement of tomorrow already coursing through his veins. But just as he approached the bed, there was a knock at his door. Odd, given the time of night, but he knew the guards would not let just anyone come near his bedroom. It had to be important.

Slowly, he opened the heavy wooden door to reveal Prince Ukai, dressed still from the day’s preparations in a dark shirt and blue pants. He was, of course, extremely dashing and given that Takeda had only seen him in passing for what felt like ages, it was hard not to swoon at the sight of him. The prince looked tired, yes, but also eager and very happy to see him, a feeling which was reciprocated.

“My lord,” Takeda said, managing to bow low.

“It is the night before our wedding, Ittetsu. Do you plan on bowing to me for the rest of our lives?” Prince Ukai asked with a laugh.

“Well, etiquette would dictate-”

“Etiquette does not apply between you and I, my dear husband.” A hand took Takeda by the chin and led his gaze up. It was as he feared; whenever Takeda looked into those determined brown eyes, his resolve all but melted. This man could ask anything of him, and he would do it in a heartbeat.

“We are not yet married, and so, I am not yet your husband,” Takeda said.

“Much to my displeasure, yes,” Ukai said. “Had I been less of a fool, you could have been my betrothed a month after we’d met. Then we’d be wed by now and I’d have you in my bed tonight to unravel as I pleased.”

“If my lord allows-”

“Ittetsu, if you call me ‘my lord’ one more time, I may very well-”

“-there are some things that are worth the wait,” Takeda finished. He felt bold, empowered by Ukai’s desire. He reached up to cup Ukai’s face, as he had a hundred times before. “I had hoped you would have considered me in such a way.”

“You are certainly precious, my darling, and I do treasure you. You would be worth waiting a thousand years for.” Ukai had managed to snake an arm around him without him noticing, and suddenly, he was drawn flush against his fiancé. “But I find it difficult to abstain when my immensely handsome and sweet lover is just down the hall, mere hours from being mine forever.”

It had been weeks since Takeda had felt that body pressed to his, the strength of him, the heat. How he had desired to feel his prince, sated only by the knowledge that every minute that passed he was a minute closer to being able to hold Ukai for as much and as long as he liked.

“Is that so?” he said. Takeda had tried to sound coy, teasing, but instead the words came out soft and breathy, barely concealing his eagerness.

“Quite,” Prince Ukai said. He leaned down until their noses touched, lips barely a hair’s breadth away. “I’ve always been the impatient sort. Will my love indulge me for just a short time?”

“Only a short time?” he asked. His hands moved on their own, reaching up to run his fingers through Prince Ukai’s hair. “I had so hoped my husband would have a little more stamina than that.”

Prince Ukai grinned, clearly pleased. “Oh, my treasure, you’ll regret those words.”

Eager and hungry for the other’s touch, the two disrobed in haste, clothes falling away as Takeda’s mouth found the column of the prince’s throat. After stumbling towards the bed, Prince Ukai laid him down onto the mattress, slotting himself in between Takeda’s legs. Now fully bare, the prince was truly a magnificent sight, all well-defined muscles from his training and working in the gardens, skin sun-kissed. As Takeda’s eyes moved lower, he saw his soon-to-be-husband’s rather impressive manhood standing fully erect.

“Oh, my lord, I…”

Prince Ukai leaned down until their lips were mere centimeters apart, until he could fell the prince’s breath on his lips. His eyes burned, pupils wide and dark with lust, sending a chill down Takeda’s spine. “From this moment forth, when we are alone, you will call me Keishin,” Prince Ukai all but growled. “Is that understood?”

“Yes,” Takeda whispered, excitement stealing his breath away.

“I will not have my beloved call me by some stupid title.” Ukai took Takeda’s left wrist and moved it over his head before doing the same with the right one. He undid the tie holding back his hair, using it instead to circle Takeda’s wrists, binding them together. “You and I are equals, even if decorum dictates you refer to me formally in the presence of others.”

“Is that the reason why you’re tying me up, darling?” Takeda asked.

“I’m tying you up because you look incredible and I want to take in your body fully,” he said. “And I saw you trying to hide behind your hands, Ittetsu.”

Takeda blushed, trying not to look away. He hadn’t even noticed it, but it stood to reason that in the presence of such beauty Takeda would want to hide his own lack of it a bit. Now he was decidedly exposed. “I am not as lovely as my husband-to-be, I’m afraid. There’s not much to look at.”

Prince Ukai ran a hand over Takeda’s stomach, moving slowly up to his chest. “I very much disagree.” He swirled his fingertip over Takeda’s nipple, sending a wave of pleasure down his spine. “I have never seen a lovelier sight than this, and I dare say I don’t think I ever will.”

“Flatterer,” Takeda teased, but even he could hear how his word carried no bite.

“Keep those hands over your head,” Prince Ukai warned. “If you’re good, I’ll free you once I’m done.”

“Done with wh-,” Takeda tried to ask but his beloved had already ducked his head down to suck on one of Takeda’s nipples, the other being pinched and toyed with by the same hand as before.

Takeda bit his lip, trying to dampen the noises that seemed determined to spill out of him. The way the prince lavished attention on the little bud with his teeth and tongue, however, was merciless and he found himself whimpering. He almost cried out Prince Ukai switched sides. The hardest part was, of course, keeping his hands over his head, desperate to clutch at his beloved’s hair, even when bound.

After several minutes of this divine torture, the prince looked up, clearly pleased with himself. “I see my darling betrothed is enjoying himself.”

What a state he must be in! “Is that to say you’re not enjoying me?” Takeda asked.

The prince chuckled. “Quite the opposite. Though I would enjoy you even more if stopped biting your lip and allowed yourself to be more vocal.”

“But the guards will hear us.”

“And? I doubt they would be surprised that the newlyweds are making love.”

“But we’re not newlyweds yet!”

Prince Ukai smirked. “Well, I’m sure they won’t blame me for being eager to jump into bed with my beloved.”

Already he was moving down the length of Takeda’s body, something in his left hand. Where had he pulled that from? Takeda was so distracted by the presence of his lover to concentrate on anything that wasn’t the prince. After all, the gentle nuzzling of Prince Ukai’s face against his thighs was enough to recapture all his attention.

He parted his legs to grant his lover better access, already struggling not to move his hands down. It wasn’t that he was ashamed of himself but the hunger in those eyes made him feel unusually vulnerable. When he felt the press of a slick finger at his entrance, he felt his whole body shiver.

“Easy, love. If it hurts, you let me know,” he said. Takeda nodded, taking a deep breath as the digit slipped inside. Prince Ukai was doing his best to distract him, covering his thighs with kisses and love bites. Oh, how he wanted to run his fingers through those blond tresses, to feel his lover under his fingertips someway.

A second finger slipped in, and he started kissing up Takeda’s thigh and towards his aching member. Breathlessly, he watched as Prince Ukai took his cock into his mouth, tongue wrapping around the shaft before swallowing him down. The noise Takeda made was embarrassing both in its pitch and in its volume. His mouth felt amazing, so much so that Takeda did not even notice when a third finger was added.

“My god, Keishin, I can’t…it feels…” Takeda moaned. He writhed against the sheets, not wanting to thrust into his beloved’s mouth. Every hallowing of his cheeks, every flick of the tongue, even the feel of Ukai’s breath against his skin seemed to bring him closer to the brink. Takeda bit his lip, back arching off the bed, shaking like a leaf.

Prince Ukai pulled off with a pop, leaving Takeda trembling with need and still hard. He placed his free hand on Takeda’s stomach, which heaved with labored breaths. “You look so lovely like this. And to think I get to behold this sight until my dying day.”

“Should I be worried that my new husband is set on tormenting me?” he asked.

The prince smirked before licking the tip of his cock, which shot pleasure up his spine. “Just trying to make stretching you out as pleasurable as possible. I couldn’t have you be in pain, now could I?”

Takeda couldn’t help but smile at that. “And you did make it pleasurable, my love.” He moved his bound hands down. “Have I been good? Can I finally touch you?”

“I’d say you’ve been good enough,” he agreed. “But any more attempts to cover up and we may need to bind you again.”

Slowly pulling out his fingers and wiping them on the sheets, Prince Ukai undid the tie around Takeda’s wrists. Wasting no time, Takeda cupped the prince’s face and brought him in for a kiss, something he’d been dying to do for the last few minutes. Thankfully, he didn’t seem to mind, kissing back with equal fervor.

“Darling, please, I need to feel you,” Takeda moaned, still very aware of his throbbing erection left neglected.

“And how exactly would you like to feel me?”

To pick just one method seemed unfair, but then again, they had the rest of their lives to try every position out. And they had an early morning. “May I…well, I suppose, I would like to ride you,” he said.

Prince Ukai’s grin widened. “Oh, I do think I would enjoy them immensely as well.” Without another word, he flipped them over so that Takeda was straddling his hips.

Takeda wasted no time, shifting back slightly to ensure he was properly in position. He reached back, running his fingers up his lover’s shaft. He found that it too was slick with whatever the prince had used to stretch him open, a thoughtful gesture indeed. Without needing to look back, he pushed up on his knees, ready to take him in fully.

“I see you are quite adept at this,” Prince Ukai growled low. He wasn’t sure if such a remark was made out of lust or jealousy.

“I’m afraid if you were looking for a blushing virgin groom, you chose the wrong man,” he responded. Takeda carefully aligned the prince’s cock to his entrance, gasping as the head slipped inside. The prince’s hands moved to Takeda’s hips to help steady him.

Takeda wasn’t the type to shy away from wanton behavior in the bedroom, but no one ever made him feel like Prince Ukai did, as though he were amidst a hunt where he was the prey of a powerful, passionate being. He wanted to be caught if only because he knew how well he would be taken care of, how amazing it would feel to be thoroughly devoured by his lover. There was something so intimate being exposed like this and seeing nothing but hunger and delight in his partner’s eyes.

“Part of me wishes to know how I compare to your former lovers,” he said. The grip on Takeda’s hips tightened slightly as he sunk further down, and it delighted Takeda to know there would be bruises under his wedding robes tomorrow. “But I don’t think I could bear to hear about another person touching you like this.”

“My darling Keishin, rest assured, no one else compares to you,” he said as he slowly lowered himself. And it was true, none of those who he had taken to bed could hold a candle to his betrothed, at least not in Takeda’s eyes. “Your touch does things to me I had not thought possible.”

Finally, Takeda took all of the prince’s length inside of him, gasping as he bottomed out. It was unreal how good it felt to have his husband pressing inside him, thick and pulsing. Not husband, not yet, he reminded himself. Not that he thought the prince would leave him after one night together, but there was still a part that demanded he respect that boundary.

“Tell me more.” The low growl broke Takeda out of his daze, forcing the teacher to look up. Brown eyes blown out nearly black with lust bore into him, strong hands holding him in place. “You’ve always been articulate, darling Ittetsu. Put that tongue to good use.”

He wanted a show. Well, Takeda was certainly not opposed to that.

“Every time your fingers so much as graze me, they leave fire in their place, a lingering heat that sears each touch into my very skin,” he said. He began to shift his hips, testing the friction between them. There was still a bit of discomfort, so instead, Takeda began to grind down, searching for that one spot that had him seeing stars. “That first kiss all but ruined me, Keishin. I would have gotten to my knees, done anything you wanted, just for the promise that you’d kiss me once more.”

“I must say, the thought of you on your knees for me has certainly crossed my mind more than once,” he teased.

“Perhaps that is a fantasy we can make a reality tomorrow night,” he retorted. “After all, it will be my husbandly duty to take care of all your needs.” Prince Ukai’s breath caught and Takeda could feel his member twitch inside. “It seems as though you approve of the idea.”

He smirked, but it was clear the prince’s control was slipping. Takeda would not have minded it one bit if he snapped then and there, but it seemed he would have to wait. “Why the hell did I wait this long to take you to bed?”

“Because you’re a chivalrous, upstanding noble whose grandfather would have killed us both if we’d gotten caught committing lewd acts,” he teased. Feeling settled, he began to lift up on his knees. The prince’s erection slowly slid out, dragging deliciously along his insides as he did. He let out a soft moan, reveling in the feel of it, his own cock leaking precum. Carefully, he dropped down again, and the head of the prince’s cock hit with just enough pressure to make him shudder.

“Fuck, Ittetsu, you do bewitch me,” Prince Ukai said. The grip on Takeda’s hips tightened once more and he knew what was about to happen. He felt the prince’s knees shift, and with it, Takeda shifted forward, bracing his hands on the headboard. To his credit, the prince’s initial thrusts upwards were gentle, testing. When Takeda showed no signs of discomfort, however, he began to speed up steadily.

“Keishin…” Takeda moaned, toes curling into the sheets.

“You feel amazing, my treasure,” Prince Ukai cooed. “And you’re so handsome, so lovely. I can’t believe I get to have you by my side for the rest of my life.”

The words came to him slowly, his mind clearly occupied with other matters and sensations. Still, his thoughts on the matter were clear. “Keishin, you are my heart. I cannot live without you.”

Prince Ukai moved a hand over Takeda’s chest, warm and strong. Takeda moved to place his own hand over it, pressing it firmer into his skin. “And you are mine, Ittetsu. I cannot fathom what I would have done had you not found me that day. All I ask now is you find me whenever I am lost.”

“Gladly, my love. Where you lead, I shall follow. You will never walk alone again.” And he meant every word.

The prince’s eyes shone with love, a slow, warm smile forming on his face. How had Takeda ever gotten so lucky? Prince Ukai shifted his hand up to Takeda’s hair, guiding him down to kiss him hard, using the temporary distraction to shift the angle of his thrusts. With one sharp push, Takeda’s entire body sang with pleasure, the prince hungrily swallowing the noises Takeda let slip.

They rocked together, moving as one wave crashing against the shore over and over. His glasses somehow came off his face in-between kisses, a hand reaching between their bodies to stroke his neglected cock. He was surprised to realize that even with the most experienced lovers, sex had never felt quite this good. Or maybe it was that Takeda had never felt quite so happy being with someone.

“I love you, I love you so much,” Takeda whispered against Prince Ukai’s lips. He was so close now, desperate and wanting, his skin hot but with no desire to pull away from his lover. He could not bear to be parted now, not with those eyes watching him, boring into his soul. This force of nature, this amazing, wonderful man. Let the kingdom have their prince, their future king, he would have Keishin all to himself.

“Love you too, Ittetsu. So much, so much, my treasure, my light,” he echoed.

It happened so quickly, Takeda barely had time to process it. His whole body tensed, every sensation suddenly too much and yet not enough, not nearly enough. He threw his head back, moaning loud as his core clenched, coming which such force, it felt as though he couldn’t breathe for a moment. It was only then that he heard Prince Ukai grunt and felt that telltale warmth spreading inside him. A few more thrusts and the two of them were fully spent, panting hard as they held onto each other.

“Oh my God,” Takeda muttered, trying to collect himself.

“You know, that’s not a title I mind in the least,” Prince Ukai teased, which earned him a gentle swat on the chest from his betrothed.

After some careful maneuvering, Takeda laid down next to his beloved, exhausted and satisfied and practically glowing. It was not how he had expected to spend the night before the wedding, but he was very glad his plans had gone awry.

“Is my husband happy?” Prince Ukai asked.

“Not your husband yet, dear.”

“Nothing is going to keep me from marrying you tomorrow, so we might as well get an early start,” he teased. “After all, we started the wedding night early, didn’t we?”

Takeda reached up to brush an errant strand of hair away from the prince’s face. “Are you truly that impatient?”

Prince Ukai wrapped his arms around Takeda, pulling him into his space. “To have you be mine? Absolutely.”

Settling into his embrace, Takeda could not help but add before sleep finally claimed him, “Oh my love, I have been yours for a long time now.”

When Takeda peeled open his eyes, he found his face was tucked into Prince Ukai’s chest, strong arms holding him in position. It was their first time ever sharing a bed, and while it was quite a bit smaller than their marriage bed would be tonight, they had still managed to enjoy some proper cuddling.

That night, they would enter the bed as proper husbands, committed to each other for life. His lovely prince who had held out for love, who had fought for their union in front of a whole court of people, would be fully his. It was almost enough to make him cry.

The prince’s sleeping face was relaxed, the sharp lines of his jaw and nose softened by the dark lashes that rested upon his cheeks and the subtle downturn of his mouth. He was still young but Takeda could see wrinkles forming in his brow, and he could not help but trace them, to map out his husband by touch alone. Unfortunately, this act awoke him, brown eyes slowly opening to the morning sun.

“Good morning, Keishin,” Takeda said softly.

“G’morning, Ittetsu darling,” he murmured, voice rough from sleep. He shifted his hold on Takeda, bringing him in closer to his chest and hiding his face in Takeda’s hair.

“Did you sleep well?” he asked, trying not to be too delighted by this unexpected sweetness.

“Very well. So well. Best I’ve ever slept,” Prince Ukai rambled sleepily.

Takeda was finding it hard to stay awake when tucked into his lover’s sleepy embrace, especially since the prince didn’t seem keen to let him go. There was so much to do this morning, but all of that seemed like it could wait. After all, princes were never late, everyone else was simply early.

It was then that Takeda’s door burst open, and he immediately moved to bury himself further into Prince Ukai’s embrace. Thankfully, the young royal had the wherewithal to cover them both in the previously discarded sheet before they could be seen fully naked.

“There you are!” Takinoue shouted. Even though Takeda couldn’t see him, he knew that voice anywhere. “We’ve been looking all over for you!”

“Would it be possible not to scream this early in the morning?” Prince Ukai groaned.

“I told Shimada we should have checked Takeda’s room first,” he continued. “You’ve always been an impatient one.”

“And surprisingly enough, my patience is running thin right now,” he shot back. “I’ll be up and dressed in five minutes.”

“Absolutely not,” Takinoue said. “Five minutes will turn into an hour, and then your grandfather will come for all our heads.”

“Is this our wedding or his?” the prince murmured.

“Sensei, would you please tell him we need to get him get going?”

“I’m afraid I have to agree with His Highness, five more minutes would be lovely,” Takeda said.

“Did you find him?” Shimada’s voice carried down the hall.

“I was right, lovebirds are always found in pairs!” Takinoue shouted back.

“Five minutes,” Prince Ukai repeated.

Takinoue groaned but seemed to relent. “We’re going to be right outside that door. Then we’re coming in, no matter how naked the two of you are.” And with that, there was the closing of the door, leaving them in blissful silence once more.

“We’re getting married today,” Takeda said, looking up at his soon-to-be husband with a mischievous smile.

“A formality, really, but I’m glad we’ll have more mornings like this moving forward,” he said.

“You mean with Takinoue bursting in to scold us?” he teased.

“Don’t say such things, darling, lest they come true.” The prince brushed Takeda’s messy curls, kissing his forehead. “Mornings where I get to kiss my husband as much as I want.”

“That does sound lovely,” Takeda said. “Though in order to get to that future, we will need to get ready now.”

Prince Ukai groaned. “I know, I know.”

“And then there’s the wedding night to look forward to.”

That seemed to get his attention in more ways than one. “Well, when you put it like that, we really should get started, shouldn’t we?”

Takeda laughed; it was good to know what motivated his husband to action. “Before they come bursting in here again.”

With a kiss and a hasty redressing, Takeda bid his fiancé a brief farewell before the ceremony. Watching as the prince and his two friends bickered down the hall, Takeda suspected this was the beginning of their happily ever after. And what a fine beginning it was.
