Work Text:
Francis forever
the world was my oyster,
mine for the taking,
at make out creek, the first to be awaking,
the skies I roamed, the streets I was pacing,
nothing to earn,
nothing to lose,
nothing awaiting,
meeting you felt like an awakening,
my coarse exterior breaking,
like a breath, my love,
being with you was undemanding,
before my eyes,
a scenery for me you were painting,
a life together we were creating.
but like the flowers
that adorned my feathers,
you became like a rose, pale and dying,
dropping your petals and man I know,
all full of wine, the world you left me in,
was sober with no place to go.
so I hung low from the branch of a willow,
as your soul rose, time froze,
the wind that blows, the rivers that flows,
the sounds fade, and the world slows.
and from that moment on, your loss I dree,
right above you, from an oversee,
I let the seasons walk past me,
from this cage I refused to flee,
prisoner of your love, i spurn to be set free,
sometimes I wish I knew how to move on,
to let it be, to stop feeling so lorn,
but I don't think I can stand to be,
where you don't see me.
i see you as you stow yourself in a shell,
a dirt box shaped sell,
I hear their laughs ringing like bells,
I hear the screech of those who set ablaze,
reduced to mere ashes,
were consumed by hell,
I hear the song of the morning birds,
and I recognize my tune,
for I used to sing before,
for you, I turned gloom,
lesser then the sun, more like a moon,
lesser then a god, more like a man,
I wanted to be the one that you could understand,
broke my wings, picked up my pen,
wrote down poems, with words I ran,
you have me my love,
in the palm of your hand.
I'm alive until he kills, dead until he feels,
woolen heart for sword of steel,
my wounds only he heals,
in his arms I fell in a deep slumber,
in his dormant world, I made the endeavor,
with my love, whenever, wherever,
Francis forever
