“Hey darling,” Mycroft placed a kiss on Greg’s temple, who fell asleep in front of the tv.

“Hmmm!” he sat up suddenly, looking around with confusion. “Mycroft, I’ve been waiting for you,” he mumbled sleepily.

“Told you not to wait up.” Mycroft sat next to him, in reality he was really glad Greg waited for him.

“I wanted to.” Greg yawned. “How was the trip?”

“Long, lonely, tiring.” Mycroft kissed him.

“I missed you.” Greg whispered against his lips.

“Not more than me.” Mycroft slid his arm under Greg’s top, holding him tightly. Enjoying that he could finally touch his husband, enjoying the so familiar scent of Greg.

“Two weeks,” Greg kissed him. “Two long weeks,” he quickly undid Mycroft’s many buttons.

“I apologise,” Mycroft kissed back passionately. “Let me make up for the lost time,” he murmured, his hand sliding to Greg’s pants.

“You have a lot to make up for, Holmes,” Greg pulled Mycroft down.

“With pleasure,” he murmured as he kissed down Greg’s body, removing the remainder of his clothing.

“My,” he whispered impatiently,

“Patience, my dear,” it served as a reminder for himself as well.

“Try having patience after two weeks alone with them,” he grunted.

“I’m sorry,” Mycroft finally settled between Greg’s legs.

“Are you?” Greg grunted. “Oh god, My,” Greg moaned with pleasure. “Forgotten, forgiven,” he gasped, running his fingers through Mycroft’s hair. “My, stop,”

“Hmmm?” he looked up at him.

“Is there a storm tonight?” the room was lit up by thunder.

“Yes and?” Mycroft pulled away.

“You know what that means,” Greg sighed.

“Don’t even think about,”

“Dad!” a door opened behind them.

“Darling,” Mycroft sat up, he pulled the blanket down to cover Greg. Greg was still amazed how quickly Mycroft managed to make himself presentable. But when one grows up with a little brother who knows no boundaries, one learns to be quick. “Can’t sleep?”

“Papa, you are home!” she shrieked happily.

“Yes.” Mycroft hurried to her, hugging their daughter tightly. “Missed you, my dear Elisabeth.” he picked her up. “Were you well behaved?”

“I was,”

“And dad will say the same?” he raised an eyebrow.

“Brought me something?” she changed the subject, her fear of the storm long forgotten.

“Of course,” Mycroft chuckled. “You’ll get it in the morning.”

“But, it’s almost morning.” she pointed it out.

“Only almost.”

“Fine,” she huffed, knowing too well it was impossible to negotiate with her papa.

“Where did you leave your brother?”

“She left me alone,” Thomas sniffled. “Not that I need anyone. I’m not scared of a stupid storm!” Thomas stood in the doorway pulling his teddy bear behind himself.

“My dear.” Mycroft put her down to hug the little boy. “Of course you are not scared.”

“What did you bring me, papa?” he yawned.

“All right,” Greg chuckled. “Come you two.” Greg took Thomas from Mycroft carrying him to the master bedroom. “Let’s go back to sleep.”

“Papa?”

“Let your father get ready for bed. Come Elisabeth or you wish to stay in your own bed?”

“I’m coming,” she ran after her father hearing a thunder.

By the time Mycroft joined them the twins had already fallen asleep.

“Bloody storm.” Greg whispered. “It had all day to arrive, but,”

“It is good to be home,” Mycroft reached for his hand, placing a kiss on it.

“My mother promised to take them to the zoo tomorrow…today. So you can keep your promise.” Greg smirked.

“Worry not my dear. I will.”

“You promised something to me as well!” Elisabeth yawned.

“And I shall keep that too, only if you go back to sleep now.”

“Night papa.”

“Good night my darlings.”
