Chapter 19 : A beautiful day

BLOOM POV

The sun was shining brightly in the sky as Bloom and Icy walked side by side down the main avenue of the amusement park that had temporarily opened in Magix for the spring festival.

The atmosphere was lively, with children laughing, the sound of the rides moving, and the smell of cotton candy mixing with the air. Bloom couldn’t help but smile excitedly; she couldn’t wait to share this day with Icy, who instead walked with her hands in the pockets of her cargo jeans.

- I never imagined I’d get dragged to a place like this, – the witch commented, looking around with a raised eyebrow. – It’s too… colorful and yuck, kids everywhere.

Bloom giggled and patted her on the shoulder.

- Oh, stop acting so tough! I know you’re having fun deep down. Or at least, you will after a ride on a roller coaster.

- Roller coaster? – Icy made a skeptical expression. – Whose idea was it to build a ride that simulates certain death?

- Fear is part of the fun! – Bloom replied, grabbing her hand and dragging her towards the line for the tallest ride in the park.

As they approached the ticket booth, Bloom noticed two familiar figures in the distance. One of them was gesticulating wildly, while the other was trying to maintain a semblance of calm.

- Isn’t that… Stormy? – Bloom said, squinting to focus better.

- My dear little sister? – Icy followed Bloom’s gaze and couldn’t help but smile with a hint of sarcasm. – I’m not surprised. It’s always where there’s confusion.

Musa and Stormy were standing near a shooting gallery, where Stormy was trying to convince the manager to let her have another hit for win a giant stuffed dragon.

- I tell you, it’s rigged! – Stormy shouted, arms crossed and eyes furious. – Give me another hit and I’ll show you how it’s done!

- Stormy, calm down, – Musa intervened, trying to hold back a laugh. – Leave it alone, it’s not worth it.

- It’s not worth it? – Stormy exclaimed, turning to her with wide eyes. – It’s a matter of principle, Musa!

Bloom and Icy approached just as the visibly exasperated stall holder decided to give Stormy another hit.

- Look who we have here, – Icy said, her tone contemptuous. – The great Stormy is battling the stuffed animals.

Stormy whirled around, surprised to see the pair.

- Oh, look who’s deigning to show up! – she replied, her face lighting up in a mischievous smile. – Have you come to take notes on how to win?

- No, we’re here to have fun, – Bloom replied with a kind smile. – And it looks like you two have already started.

Musa walked over to Bloom and gave her a quick hug.

- Bloom! I didn’t expect to see you here. – Then she turned to Icy. – And you… didn’t seem like the amusement park type.

- I was dragged here against my will. – Icy replied, shrugging.

- We’ll see. – Bloom said, giving her a fond look.

Stormy, meanwhile, had finally thrown the ball and, with a surprisingly accurate shot, had hit the center bullseye, leaving a slight electrical burn in the center of the target. The stuffed dragon fell off the shelf, eliciting a cry of triumph from her.

- I knew it! – she exclaimed, grabbing the stuffed animal and hugging it enthusiastically. – No one can beat me!

- Good job, Stormy, – Icy said, with a smile that had more than a hint of sarcasm. – A glorious victory indeed. The way you intimidated that stall holder was nothing short of phenomenal.

- Keep teasing me, sister. But this is only the first of my victories today! – Stormy said, pointing a finger at her but continuing to hug the large dragon.

- Let's wait and see if you can survive the roller coaster before you brag too much, – Icy replied.

- The roller coaster? – Musa asked, raising an eyebrow. – Stormy, are you sure? The last time we were on a ride, you swore you'd never get on one again.

Stormy hesitated for a moment, but then shrugged nonchalantly.

- What are you saying, Musa? I'm not afraid of anything!

Bloom and Musa exchanged an amused look, while Icy and Stormy headed towards the ride, bickering. Just as they were getting in line, Bloom heard familiar voices behind her.

- Bloom! – Stella called, waving as she approached, followed by Aisha, Flora and Tecna, and the Specialists. – I can't believe we found you here!

- Stella! – Bloom replied enthusiastically, running to hug her friend. – I didn't know you were coming here too!

- It was Riven's idea, actually, – Tecna said with a smile, nodding to the boy who was right next to her.

- We all needed a break. – Riven said with his usual smile, then as if unable to contain hisself, he glanced quickly at Musa and Stormy.

At that moment, Bloom noticed another unexpected thing: Darcy walking alone not far from them, with an unusually thoughtful look. When she noticed the group, she tried to compose an indifferent expression, but her eyes betrayed a slight embarrassment.

- Darcy? – Icy asked surprised. – What are you doing here?

Darcy sighed, shaking her head.

- I was supposed to meet someone, but it seems he decided not to show up, – she replied, trying not to let the disappointment show in her voice.

- You definitely missed him, – Riven said with a lighter tone. – How could anyone have let someone like you down?

Darcy looked at him, surprised by the compliment, gave an amused look to Musa and then raised an eyebrow with a light smile.

- Try not to overdo it, Riven. I don't want you to get too big for your boots.

- There's no danger, - he replied with an amused smile. - But if you need company, you're in the right group.

Bloom immediately looked at Musa, as everyone did, wanting to know how they should react to this. But the music fairy had smiled and, strangely enough, considering she wasn't used to gestures of affection, had wrapped her arms around an embarrassed Stormy's waist.

Bloom watched the whole interaction with a smile, while Icy shook her head slightly, amused. Everything was fine.

The now complete group headed towards the roller coaster, with Bloom still holding Icy's hand, while Musa and Stormy walked close together, laughing at some joke that only they could understand.

When they finally got on the roller coaster, adrenaline filled the air. The screams of excitement mixed with the noise of the tracks, while the sun was still shining high in the sky.

They were heading to the Ferris wheel for their last ride of the day, when Stella, with her usual enthusiasm, stopped suddenly and turned to Icy.

- Now, Icy, - she began with a sly smile, - you don't look very comfortable in all this sun and these bright colors. Do you feel out of place?

Icy raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms, looking at Stella with a look that oscillated between indifference and challenge.

- Not everyone has to walk around dressed like a paint explosion to feel comfortable, Stella. - Icy replied with a contemptuous smile. - But I understand that you need all this to distract people from your total lack of depth.

Stella giggled, shrugging as if nothing could touch her.

- Oh, honey, maybe you're right, but at least I don't constantly look like I've stepped out of a horror movie. A little color wouldn't hurt, you know?

Icy moved closer to Stella, closing the distance between them, her face perfectly calm, but her eyes glittering with a subtle chill.

- And it wouldn't hurt for you to try to look beyond the shiny surface and show some substance. Not everything has to sparkle like a disco ball to be interesting.

Bloom, seeing the inevitable clash of personalities, quickly intervened.

- Girls, let's go. - she said, hugging Icy from behind in an attempt to ease the tension. - It's been a great day, let's not ruin it, okay?

Stella waved her hand, as if to say she had no intention of continuing the discussion.

- Don't worry, Bloom, I was just kidding. - she replied, casting a wry glance at Icy. - Besides, I know my presence always overshadows her. It's not her fault, poor thing, but it's natural that she feels at fault.

Icy shook her head, a sarcastic smile on her face.

- Oh, Stella, don't worry. I don't feel overshadows, we're just not all used to living in the middle of a country fair all the time.

Stella snorted, but finally smiled, unable to completely contain her vanity.

- Always ready with a joke, huh? At least I can give you that.

With one last challenging look, both girls decided to let it go, at least for now. Something Bloom was especially grateful for, but she still gave Icy a nudge.

At the end of the day, the group gathered around an ice cream stand, all still full of energy and happiness after a whole day of fun.

- In the end, this was a better day than I expected. When I saw all your friends appear, I got worried. – Icy admitted, eating her mint and chocolate ice cream. – Come on Pixie, eat yours! Do you really have to try everything I get?

- Well, amusement parks don't have to be just for kids. – Bloom replied with a smile as she took a spoonful of ice cream from Icy's cone. – And besides, your ice cream is too inviting not to try it.

Icy huffed as she let her eat her ice cream.

The sun was starting to set and the air was now slightly cool, creating the perfect atmosphere to end a memorable day. Bloom found herself looking at all her friends and reflecting on how happy she was to have had such a day.

Musa sat on the grass nearby, her back against Stormy's chest, who was hugging her gently as they talked about a new album that had just been released. Aisha and Nabu were next to them, joining in the conversation with enthusiasm.

Helia and Flora were feeding a group of birds that had gathered around them. Flora was telling something fascinating to Helia, who seemed completely absorbed in her story, his attention completely focused on her.

Sky, talking to Roxy, finally seemed relaxed and at peace. There was no tension between him and Bloom; they were friends and would remain so forever. The bond they had created in their early years at Alfea was something that could never disappear.

Brandon and Stella were chatting animatedly, sitting next to Sky and Roxy. Their conversation alternated between future plans and funny anecdotes of the day, their faces lit up with a genuine smile.

Tecna and Timmy were immersed in a more technical discussion, analyzing the structure of the Ferris wheel on their laptop. Their exchanges were detailed and passionate, as they tried to understand every nuance of the carousel’s design.

But the most interesting pairing was Riven and Darcy, sitting at the next table and clearly enjoying themselves. Riven, in his usual bad-boy manner, was teasing Darcy in a sly way, while she responded with a wry smile.

- I can’t believe you beat me at the shooting game, – Riven chuckled, raising an eyebrow and looking at Darcy with a challenging look.

- Maybe it was just a fluke, – Darcy replied with a teasing smile. – But since you’re so confident, why don’t you try again? You could try to beat me in other areas.

Riven gave her a playful look and moved closer, his tone becoming lighter.

- Oh, believe me, I’m good at a lot of things, – he said with a confident tone.

Darcy laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement and a slight hint of flirtation.

- Interesting proposition. – Darcy replied, moving a little closer to him.

Bloom smiled as she watched the scene. During the afternoon, she had seen Riven approaching Musa as they were walking around the rides. They had talked for a while alone, and he had made sure she had no problem with the fact that he wanted to try again with Darcy. Maybe he wasn’t as bad a guy as he wanted to make out after all, Bloom found herself thinking, happy that everything was in its place.

The evening continued with a sense of simplicity and joy, as groups of friends came together to enjoy one last moment together on what had been a perfect day. The moon was high in the sky and the park was lit up with a thousand colors, creating a magical atmosphere that seemed to reflect the happiness everyone felt.

When they finally got home, Bloom collapsed onto the couch, exhausted but happy with the day. Icy had quickly put on her tracksuit and followed her, lying down next to her with a look of relief on her face, the days with a lot of socializing were draining her.

Bloom took out her phone and started to browse through the photos she had taken during the day, a smile spreading across her face with each image.

- Do you want to see? - Bloom asked, showing the phone screen to Icy.

The witch nodded and approached. Bloom scrolled through a few photos, stopping at the first one that had captured the essence of that day.

- Look at this, - Bloom said laughing, showing a group photo taken right after the roller coaster.

The photo showed everyone with their hair messed up by the wind and the most diverse expressions: Stormy had her face lit up by a huge triumphant smile while Darcy looked like she didn't want to repeat the experience, Musa and Aisha were holding hands laughing, while Helia and Flora were leaning on each other, with messy hair and eyes full of fun. Sky was clinging to Riven, both with amused and slightly dazed looks. Brandon, Stella and Roxy were next to them with satisfied expressions, while Tecna and Timmy, despite their messy hair, were already pointing to the carousel nearby.

Bloom moved on to the next photo, which showed Stormy with the dragon-shaped plush toy she had won at the shooting gallery. Her expression was that of someone who was celebrating her triumph with enthusiasm, while Musa was trying to hold back her laughter behind her. In the background you could see Icy, with her arms crossed and an amused smile.

- Oh, look at this! – Bloom exclaimed, showing Icy a photo of herself with Stella and Musa.

The photo was taken during a break in one of the park’s many attractions. In it, Bloom was in the center with a big smile, while Stella and Musa hugged her, all three with expressions of pure joy. Their expressions were full of enthusiasm and complicity, and the photo perfectly captured their spirit of friendship.

Icy looked at the image and couldn’t help but smile, even though she tried to keep her expression impassive.

Bloom scrolled through a few more photos and stopped at a particularly lively one, which made her raise an eyebrow and laugh heartily. She turned the phone towards Icy, showing her a picture of Riven and Darcy sitting at the table, deep in conversation. Riven was laughing, while Darcy looked at him with a challenging smile. The photo had captured a moment of genuine flirtation between the two.

– I wasn’t expecting this rekindling of the flame. – Bloom commented, looking at the photo again.

- Yeah. – Icy agreed.

Finally, Bloom stopped at a snapshot of her and Icy walking hand in hand, probably taken by Stella without them noticing. There was something tender and spontaneous about it, something that made her heart melt.

- This is my favorite, – Bloom said with a fond smile, showing the photo to Icy. – It’s a perfect memory of a really special day.

- It’s not bad. – Icy admitted, with a hint of a smile, letting Bloom get more comfortable in her arms. – This amusement park might not have been so terrible after all.

– I’m grateful for these memories, – Bloom said, closing her phone and placing it on the coffee table. – I’m grateful for everything we’re experiencing together.

In response, Icy held her tighter, caressing her gently.

- You have to stop picking on Stella, though. She’s my best friend, despite her flaws. – Bloom scolded her, thinking back to the little argument that afternoon.

- She started it, babe! – Icy complained.

- Don't be a child. - Bloom replied, turning to give her a kiss on the tip of her nose. - Behave.

Icy huffed and rose from that position to be able to look Bloom in the eyes.

- Otherwise, what will you do, Pixie? - she asked in a whisper a few inches from the fairy's face, that mischievous smile did not bode well.

Bloom decided to play along, she placed a rebellious lock of hair behind Icy's ear and closed the distance between them. Her lips brushed the witch's in a slow and deliberate movement. Icy, her eyes shining with desire, responded to the kiss with intensity.

Bloom leaned lightly on Icy, the heat of their bodies mingling and the intimacy of the moment becoming more and more palpable. The witch caressed Bloom's face with her fingers, her hand sliding along her neck and pulling her closer. The kiss intensified, lips opening and closing in a sensual rhythm.

Bloom's hands tangled in Icy's hair, while everything became more and more ardent. The witch responded with a gentle push, accentuating the contact between their bodies. Every touch, every movement seemed charged with electricity. When Bloom's lips parted again Icy took advantage of it to bite her lower lip, making the fairy moan in pleasure and surprise, while with her hand she caressed her neck in a mix of sensuality and affection.

Taking care not to hurt her, the witch gently sucked her lip that she still held between her teeth, letting Bloom melt in her arms.

Bloom couldn't explain how Icy was always able to understand and always give her what she needed, without her even having to ask.

When they finally separated, both were panting, their gazes full of lust. Without taking her eyes off her girlfriend, Bloom took her sweatshirt and tied the witch's hands with the sleeves. Icy didn't rebel, she had learned to love it when Bloom took control. She was so different from when they started dating, when Icy needed to be in charge. After tying her hands tightly behind her back, Bloom looked into her eyes, leaving a chaste kiss on her soft lips.

- Here's what I'm doing. – she then said, getting up and leaving Icy there motionless, looking at her confused. – I'm going to take a shower.

- Hey! Wait! – the witch shouted, trying to free her hands tied in the sweatshirt. – I want to do it with you! Babe, come on!

- This is how you learn to behave. – Bloom laughed, entering the bathroom.

While she was undressing, she heard some curses coming from the living room and the sound of fabric tearing.

- If you broke my sweatshirt, buy me a new one! – she said when she felt Icy's presence at the door.

The witch approached her from behind and hugged her, pressing Bloom’s naked body against her own.

- You didn't think of taking a shower without me, right? - she murmured offended into her hair.

- Actually, yes. You don't deserve it. - Bloom replied, pulling away from her with a smile.

- But I didn't do anything! - Icy whimpered, looking at Bloom's naked body with eyes full of desire.

Bloom entered the shower, swaying her hips slightly as she turned on the hot water, she knew that Icy loved taking a shower together, she loved caressing her wet skin and letting her help her wash her long silver hair. By now it had become a habit, they almost always washed together, to combine business with pleasure.

Icy slipped into the shower behind her, closing the glass door behind her, then remained there watching her with her arms crossed.

- Hon’... you're still dressed! – Bloom pointed out to her, barely managing to hold back a laugh as Icy’s clothes began to get soaked by the jet of water.

- I didn't want to risk you locking me out. – the witch replied with a pouty expression. – You shower with me babe.

Then she leaned forward blocking Bloom against the shower wall, but with that movement she took the tap inside making the water cold in a few moments. Icy was slightly taller than her, she was wearing a black sleeveless hoodie and gray sweatpants that were now soaked. She towered over her, keeping her anchored there, with her arms on either side of her shoulders.

- Apologize to me. – Icy told her, bringing her lips close to Bloom's, brushing them and then pulling away.

- You have to apologize to me! – Bloom replied with a sly smile. – What did you do to my sweatshirt?

The witch's eyes were fixed on her lips, they had been together for over a year now but Bloom could never get enough of it. Of her kisses, of her smile, of her hands on her body.

- I split her in two. Same thing I'll do to you now. – Icy smiled.

- Is it a threat?

- A promise. – Icy replied, she was completely soaked, with her clothes heavy with water.

- The water is freezing. – Bloom murmured without being able to take her eyes off the witch's face, but the drops of cold water slipped on her making her shiver.

Their hands searched for each other, finding themselves in an instinctive and necessary gesture, without saying another word, Icy took a step forward, closing the distance between them until she could feel Bloom's breath on her face. With a firm, but at the same time delicate, movement, Icy took Bloom's face in her hands, her cold fingers brushing her skin. Then, she leaned towards her and their lips found themselves in a deep and passionate kiss, while the water continued to fall on them. The world seemed to stop for a moment, leaving the only sound to be that of the water hitting Icy's sweatshirt.

The kiss was desperate, urgent, their hands clung to each other, while the drops of water continued to flow down their faces, they separated only for lack of breath, remaining close, with their foreheads resting on each other, breathing heavily.

Bloom reached out to warm the water, her lips were darkening from the cold while Icy didn't seem to care at all.

She helped the witch take off her soaked and freezing clothes, but she gave her a dirty look when she saw her throw them out of the shower, wetting the whole floor.

Icy didn't care and pressed her body against the fairy's.

- Oh God, you're freezing. – Bloom moaned at that contact.

- Don't worry, I'll warm up quickly babe. – Icy murmured before rushing to her lips again.

Their bodies were attached to each other, their breasts rubbing together, creating a friction with the water that excited Bloom like crazy. Icy understood it because she went down to take a nipple that was now erect between her lips, leaving kisses and voracious bites.

Bloom closed her eyes, moaning against the cold wall of the shower, but Icy didn't stop and knelt in front of her.

- You are so beautiful. – she said while helping Bloom to lift a leg so as to have better access to her intimacy.

She felt the witch's tongue slide between her thighs causing her uncontrollable shivers, when her lips reached her clit, sucking it slowly, she thought she could see stars.

- I want your fingers… - she murmured, arching against the cold wall. – Gimme more.

Icy didn't make her wait, she started to suck a little harder, combining expert movements of the tongue before penetrating her with two rapid fingers.

Bloom's moans echoed off the shower walls and as she climaxed she was glad Icy's hand was squeezing her breasts because it helped her stay standing.

- Did I make it up to you? – Icy whispered still kneeling.

Bloom mumbled an incomprehensible response while her body was still shaking with small spasms.

She was mildly annoyed with Icy for the argument with Stella, so she decided she wanted to make her pay. She opened her eyes and looked at the satisfied face of the witch at her feet, then took some lavender soap and quickly lathered herself as Icy stood up.

Icy touched her hips as she washed the soap off and looked at her with reverence, it was the perfect moment.

- Thanks for the job. – Bloom said getting out of the shower and disappearing behind the door towards the bedroom. - Now dry up the mess you left in the bathroom!

- Come on babe, don't be a bitch. – Icy growled from the shower. – You can't hang me like that!

- I just did it… - Bloom sneered from the bedroom as she pulled on her pajamas.

The moment her head came out of the shirt she saw Icy completely naked with her arms crossed on the door.

- You're wetting everything! - Bloom complained looking at the puddle at her feet.

- Playing with fire burns you. - the witch said approaching with a predatory look. She wouldn't let her escape, she was looking at Bloom like she was looking at the last slice of cake on the table. The fairy smiled mischievously as Icy pressed her against the wardrobe.

- Fire cannot kill a dragon
