Chapter Text
"Man, what's taking the servers so long?" Kyo asked impatiently while tapping his foot on the ground, finally saying what was on both of their minds.
"You know what, let's just raise our hands," Enna suggested as the long wait for a server finally got to her and she put her arm up.
The two were dining at a restaurant, before Enna would show Kyo around Canada. Well, they would be dining, if the server came to their table to take their orders.
Oh FINALLY, Enna thought to herself as a waiter was approaching them. However, as if reading her thoughts and wanting to mess with her, the waiter instead went right past their table, serving some bread and water to the table next to them.
WHAT??WE LITERALLY ARRIVED BEFORE THEM? Enna thought, looking hungrily at the bread on the table next to theirs. She looked at Kyo, and they seemed to have the same train of thought.
Looking around the restaurant, she saw that there were a few waiters just standing at one place in the restaurant, seemingly doing nothing. Enna looked at them, and even MADE EYE CONTACT with one waiter. Yet, to no avail, none of the waiters in the restaurant seemed to want to take their water, heck, even give them water.
Kyo joined in and raised his arm too, hoping that since it was longer he'd be able to grab the waiters' attention and finally have their orders taken down.
After a few minutes of absolutely no response from the waiters, Enna whispered to Kyo in a tone of irritation, "I swear to God, these waiters are actually doing this on purpose because I'm-" before she could even finish her sentence, a waiter came to their table with waters and bread, as if the waiter had heard Enna.
Enna's ears turned a light shade of red, embarrassed by her previous statement. Thank goodness her hair was hiding them.
Enna ordered her food without a hitch, having practiced it in her head. Kyo however...
"Can I just have a chicken sandwich with no avacado, no lettuce, no pickle, no cucumber, no..."
Are you kidding me, Enna thought to herself.
Enna couldn't remember when, but some point in his order, Kyo noticed that he was dragging it and instead settled on,"uh, just a chicken sandwich with only the bread and chicken please."
If not for the great self control, Enna would've spitted out the cup of water that she had been using to hide her smile behind to proceed to start dying laughing.

After the lunch, Kyo and Enna left the restaurant with full stomachs. "I can't believe you ordered a chicken sandwich with none of the ingredients except the chicken and bread. Bestie, you have committed a food crime. AND the fact that I paid 22 DOLLARS FOR THAT is a robbery." Enna started.
"Well, I mean, you did insist on paying." Kyo retorted smoothly.
Enna sighed. Not wanting to let it go, she continued, "Whatever, there goes 22 dollars down the drain for some chicken between two piece of bread. AND you didn't even FINISH IT!!"
Kyo rolled his eyes and shrugged, guilty of wolfing down all that bread and being unable to finish his own meal.
"Okok here," Kyo said as he shoved some money to Enna because if not she would never let it go. "Huh? NO! Don't pay me back!" Enna replied, immediately denying it and shoving the money back to Kyo.
They went back and forth for a while; Enna denying the money and Kyo returning it back into her face, trying to shove it in her bag.
After a few more failed attempts, Kyo shook his head and sighed in defeat. "You know what if you don't want the money I'll GLADLY keep it. But don't start whining on stream later that I didn't pay you back." Then, he finally kept his money in his wallet.
Seeing this, Enna gave a shit eating grin to Kyo and gladly gave him the finger. In a trance from her victory, she failed to realise that there was a poor old woman walking by them. She walked away faster in embarrassment and Kyo just started laughing at her.
"I can't believe I just did that in front of an old woman. AN OLD WOMAN!" Enna exclaimed, feeling her cheeks and ears burn bright pink from the sheer embarrassment from the situation. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT BESTIE I SWEAR TO GOD I'M GONNA KILL YOU LATER!!" Enna said before delivering a weak punch to his back.
"Ouch, wow I can't believe you're resulting to violence on the chronically ill. I thought you were better than this Enna," Kyo retorted, rubbing his back where she had hit him.
She decided to ignore his retort and pull out her phone to check when the next train was coming, "IN SIX MINUTES?? BESTIE I SWEAR TO GOD WE WONT MAKE IT TO THE STATION IN TIME BECAUSE OF YOUR LAZY ASS WHO KEEPS DRAGGING-" Enna paused as she felt a light tug on her jacket sleeve. She looked up to find her gaze meeting Kyo's. Her eyes widened in surprise of such an intimate action.
"Then why are you still complaining and wasting time? Let's go." Kyo said before walking forward with his hands in his pockets.
Enna could only nod in reply. She found herself blushing yet again, though this time she wasn't sure if it was from rage or embarrassment.
They went into a brisk walk, with Enna trailing slightly behind Kyo. With the atmosphere between them being rather quiet, Enna kept checking the time for the train every so often.
"Five minutes till the train arrives," Enna reminded. Luckily, the station was already in view at the horizon line.
However, there were traffic lights with long waits in front. And after finally crossing the street, they were only left with two minutes.
"Shit we're gonna miss it!" Enna said as their brisk walk turned into a jog.
"Can't we just take the next one?" Kyo asked, not wanting to exert himself.
"You want to wait another like one hour?" Enna asked sarcastically.
Kyo decided to save his breath and instead take note of the time. There was only a minute and a half left. If he had to wait another hour till he could get to a place to sightsee, he might as well just stay at Enna's place for the whole day and ditch the plans for touring instead.
Hence, Kyo grabbed a hold of Enna's arm with his big hand, and started running, dragging her along. For every 2 steps Kyo took, Enna had to take around 3. She couldn't keep up with the pace, her body not used to this physical demand.
"Keep up grandma," Kyo encouraged. It sure did work as it egged her on to become faster. Soon, Kyo was the one having trouble keeping up.
They were having fun, challenging each other and keeping up with each other, completely lost in the moment, almost forgetting about why they were running in the first place.
By the time they reached the station, they were a panting mess. Luckily, they had managed to get on the train on time as there was a slight delay.
"Oh my god that was so tiring. My old ass body can't keep up." Enna said between breaths.
"Same, although ATLEAST my old ass body is the only thing that's old about me, you know, not my age." Kyo added.
She rolled her eyes. "Must you really have to insult me everytime you speak?" Enna said, nudging him.
As their bodies came into contact again, they realized that they were standing close in the large and rather empty train, with Kyo's hand wrapped around Enna's arm.
Kyo immediately removed his hand and shoved it in his pocket, blushing uncontrollably. Enna reacted similarly, feeling like she lost some warmth. They both scooted over to each side of the train door before ultimately deciding to sit down next to each other.
After a long minute of pure silence which is usually unheard of when the two are together, Kyo finally said, "Sorry, I didn't mean to. It was those in the moment things," ruffling his hair in irritation to phrase things right, "AUGH NEVERMIND - I take full responsibility for my actions. And, I'm really sorry for any injuries caused and just this embarrassing situation as a whole."
Enna's eyes widened at the apology. She thought what had happened just now was just playful fun between them. She really didn't think he caused her any harm.
Enna looked down at her arm where Kyo had held her. Although not obvious, there were slight indents leaving evidence of his hand being placed there. She blushed at the sight. Until they fade away, they would only serve as a reminder of his hand on her arm.
Enna assured Kyo, "No no, there's really no need to apologise. It isn't like my bestie to say sorry this easily. Tell me honestly, what'd you do with him?"
It definitely worked. Kyo started laughing uncontrollably like a madman on the public transport. This caused more people on the train to turn their heads towards the noise and Enna could only hide in her jacket from the stares.
"Bro do you know what an inside voice is?" Enna whispered.
"Nah, my voice is this when I'm inside." Kyo replied.
For the rest of the train ride, they were mostly chatting animatedly, occasionally being interrupted by the chime of the train at each stop or the bumpy tracks. It felt so different - chatting online and in real life. In real life, it was rather easier for them to speak.
Within the blink of an eye, it was finally their stop.

"Honestly, what's there in Canada to see?" Enna said, sighing, as she turned to her best friend.
"I DON'T KNOW I'VE NEVER BEEN TO CANADA THATS WHY YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE TAKING ME SIGHTSEEING???" Kyo replied.
"Geez, calm down zoomer TikTok kid. You forgot your meds?"
"Nah cause ain't no way you bringing up my medicine and my illness LIKE BITCH what's that got to do with this???"
"HOLY SHIT YOU ZOOMER KIDS REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO CALM DOWN AND ARE QUICK TO JUMP TO THE CANCEL I GET IT YOU WANT TO RUIN SOMEONE'S LIFE, I WANT TO DIE TOO."
"SO DO I."
Luckily, before the conversation could escalate any further and they could actually get cancelled if it was recorded, they finally reached the CN tower.
However, before getting up, Enna had second thoughts. She pulled Kyo aside and told him, "I'm actually afraid of heights. So lowkey, if you don't mind bestie, can we just don't go up because I really REALLY don't want to and I've brought my friend up thee before and it was just like too much for me so-"
"Bitch if you don't want to go then why did you even bring me here in the first place?" Kyo replied.
Ah right. Well damnit, I just brought him here for nothing, Enna thought to herself.
"Alright then let's just explore the city together." Enna suggested.
And so, explore the city they did - for about an hour, before they both got tired and just wanted to go back to Enna's place to chill. Not to mention, they still had to do the cooking stream. They also went shopping for the ingredients for the stream.
Kyo was feeling rather drained from the days activities, having already taken a 2 hour bus ride to Enna's place before this. Noticing this, Enna suggested they make their way back to her place and start the stream.
So, there they were, trying to set up the stream 10 minutes late off schedule.
