The New Kid walked up to Casa Bonita, and while their face didn’t show it, they were incredibly confused onto why Mysterion called them here of all places, with such urgency too. They’d contemplated just not going, but Mysterion had sounded desperate that it would’ve weighed on their conscious heavily if they didn’t. Not to mention, it’s a free trip to Casa Bonita dude.
“Hey, over here!” A gravely voice called out to them from above. They knew who it had to be, and that was only confirmed when Mysterion dropped down from the roof of Casa Bonita to face them. “I knew I could count on you. Those fucking vampires kidnapped my friend and brought her here.” Mysterion explained, the urgency clear in his tone. The New Kid tilted their head, wondering who the friend could be. Stan, Kyle, and Eric were all guys, and they’d never seen him hang out with Wendy much. Nonetheless, they let Mysterion continue. Not like they talked much anyways.
“Who knows what horrible things they’re doing to her? You ready to do this?” Mysterion questioned, to which the New Kid simply stood there. Seemed like a good enough answer for the immortal fourth grader, as he kept talking.
“Good. We have to stop them. Some do not believe in vampires, but they are very real. I know we have other problems back in South Park, but I can’t let those monsters hurt her!” Mysterion balled up his fists, and the New Kid thought about how whoever this was, he must care a shit ton about them. Before the New Kid could speculate anymore, two of their enemies appeared before them. They guessed this would be a good warm up then.

So it turns out the free trip wasn’t really free. They had to pay for both their and Mysterions tickets, so that was 34 bucks they’d never get back. But, they’d acquired a new class, the netherborn, and they were able to beat up some lame vamp kids, so they weren’t complaining too much.
They entered Casa Bonita, the two fourth graders scoping out the scene. The New Kid silently hoped that this wouldn’t take too long, since they really wanted to just hang out and eat here normally after all this was over.
“Look, vampires!” Mysterion shouted, pointing over to a birthday celebration filled with the bloodsuckers. The New Kid couldn’t help but notice the girl on the far right of the table who wasn’t completely decked out in vampire gear. She had black hair, a skull t-shirt, and a black bat necklace, with somewhat contrasting green pants on. Sure, it was totally edgy, but it was a lot less edgy than the other vamps. Could that be…?
“There’s Marjorine!” Mysterion called, horror evident in his tone. A little melodramatic, they thought. “Oh no. Look at her hair, and her clothes…They’ve already started the transformation. Let’s go before it’s too late!” The hero began near sprinting, and the New Kid could barely keep up with him.
Well, maybe because they decided to help the Raccoon before catching up with Mysterion, but whatever.
They did finally catch up with Mysterion, who was currently pressing the vamp kids on their kidnapping of Marjorine.
“BACK AWAY FROM THE GIRL!” He shouted, already in a fighting stance. The other vamp kids hissed, as Marjorine turned to the two, her eyes focused on the blonde. “M-Mysterion! Oh hamburgers!” Maybe the New Kid was hallucinating or something, but they could faintly see traces of blush on her cheeks.
“I’m here to save you, Marj! I won’t let them turn you into one of them!” Mysterions tone was thick with determination, more than the New Kid had ever heard from him. It only seemed to deepen the blush on the girls face more. “B-But Mysterion, they’re my friends, and they’re real nice to me…” She trailed off, fiddling with her fingers and looking down. The New Kid was really starting to feel like a third wheel, honestly.
“Yeah kid, we’re just trying to be friends with her!” The seeming lead vampire said defensively, as if confused onto what was going on. Mysterion grit his teeth, eyebrows furrowed. The New Kid sensed what was about to happen, getting into their own fighting stance. “Fine. I’m just gonna have to beat the crap out of you!” Mysterion shouted, and the battle began.

The battle had been pretty easy all things considered, especially with the new ally they’d gained, Henrietta. While the New Kid was satisfied in calling it a win, Mysterion wasn’t, as Marjorine and the lead vampire had long gotten away. “Come on, Marj is in that room!” He urged, heading over to blinged out door, which ended up being apart of…A scavenger hunt?
“Find three more to get into the special party room, it’s VIP only! Cool, huh? I came up with it myself. We like to have fun here.” The leads stepdad explained. The New Kid and Henrietta both rolled their eyes, while Mysterion only looked more and more frustrated as each second passed on. “They have my girl- I mean! My friend in there! Can’t you just open it with a regular key?” The blonde questioned, too focused on the problem at hand to notice how the New Kid looked at him oddly for that slip-up.
“Sorry, this door has a vampire protection spell! You’ll have to finish the scavenger hunt if you wanna get it open!” And with that, the man walked away, leaving the three kids annoyed. One more than the other two, clearly. “Come on, let’s go find the rest of these stupid relics.” Mysterion grumbled, cursing under his breath. The New Kid seriously needed to know what his connection to that girl was.

Mysterion stood off by himself, leaning against a wall in order to scope out the scene. The New Kid approached him semi-cautiously, knowing he’d be easy to set off right now. “Oh, hey New Kid. I think you’ll be able to find one of those medallion things in the arcade, but I don’t know where you’ll find the others…” He said, clearly deep in thought. “Ugh, it’s so stupid we even have to find them in the first place, there’s more important things at hand!” Well, the New Kid guessed this was as good as time as ever.
The New Kid simply stared at the other hero, which always worked, for some reason. “Oh. Me and Marjorine huh?” Mysterion raised and eyebrow, crossing his arms and looking up. “We go way back. We’ve been together for a few months now.” Mysterion closed his eyes, before shooting them open, his face turning red. “Together, as in like, best friends, together. That way.” He haphazardly explained, his gravely voice slipping slightly. That was all the confirmation the New Kid needed, but Mysterion kept talking.
The hero cleared his thrust, regaining his rough tone. His face stayed covered in blush, though. “She’s so perfect, New Kid. She’s kind, caring, she’s naive, but she’s not dumb. She’s always positive, looks for the best in people, she’s strong…She’s all I want, man.” Mysterion gushed, honestly, the New Kid had never seen him so unabashedly happy, other than when they’d all ditched Eric to be apart of the Freedom Pals.
Mysterion suddenly looked determined, a fire in his eyes. “That’s why I can’t let those fucking vamp kids get her! They’ll turn her into some lame fucking emo narcissist! I’m not letting that happen, not on my watch.” The blonde swore, a promise to both himself and the New Kid, but most importantly Marjorine, though she couldn’t hear it.
“Come on New Kid! We’ve got no time to waste, they could be starting their ritual right now!” Suddenly, he grabbed the New Kids wrist, running into the arcade. Their talk, if you could even call it that, must’ve fired him up enough to give him the motivation to look, as if he didn’t already have it.
The New Kid understood the mission well enough now, though they didn’t get the point of “hiding” his relationship with Marjorine anyway. Nonetheless, he would help Mysterion save Marjorine. If not for him, for the fact that vamp kids were really fucking lame.
