Work Text:
“Wake up, beautiful man.”
Ed pulls in a slow breath at the words whispered into his hair, then sighs into a sleepy smile as Stede’s arms slide around him to pull him close. Even without opening his eyes, he can tell the sun hasn’t risen yet; judging by the chorus of nocturnal sounds surrounding their camping van, it’s practically still the middle of the night. Without a word, he turns and snuggles easily into Stede’s embrace, decidedly uninterested in leaving the bed quite yet.
Stede does little to deter him despite having woken him up to begin with, chuckling and setting about pressing slow, soft kisses along Ed’s skin. “Sleep well?” he whispers, tracing doting fingers down Ed’s spine in the dark.
“Still am,” Ed mumbles. Stede hums back in amusement.
“We already skipped the sunrise hike yesterday,” he reminds Ed in a fond murmur. “You’ve been talking about wanting to see a Zion Canyon sunrise together since before we left.”
“Yeah, well, someone’s been keeping me up late the past few nights,” Ed points out, his dark tone muffled into Stede’s chest. He can feel the vibration of Stede’s answering rumble of laughter through his whole body.
“Oh, that’s hardly my fault,” Stede breathes, voice suddenly dropping low. “You practically pounced on me the second I was out of the shower last night.”
Ed’s cheeks grows warm. His breath disappears a second later as Stede’s touch dips lower down his body, groping and shameless as he sets his lips right against Ed’s ear.
“Fucking greedy thing, too, from what I remember,” he murmurs into Ed’s ear, sending a hot shiver flying across Ed’s skin. “All desperate and whimpering, grinding against me like the filthiest little slut…”
Ed’s lips part with a hot huff against Stede’s neck as deft fingers trail right down his tailbone, then press lower, warm and dry as they rub teasingly across his rim. Ed can’t help the way he squirms a little, the skin sensitive and tender after how thoroughly Stede worked him over last night.
“Couldn’t wait for me to make a mess of you, could you, pet?” Stede goes on, sweetly unrelenting as he follows Ed’s movements with his touch, urging him into a slow roll of his hips instead that makes Ed moan, still sleepy and hazy at the edges. “My god, you were begging for it the way you haven’t in months.”
“S’my honeymoon,” Ed counters, already fucking breathless from the way Stede’s handling him, let alone the way he’s speaking to him. The next drag of their hips together is more purposeful on Ed’s part, mindless and needy as he shivers at the memory of last night. “Think I’m allowed to want my husband to fuck me.”
“Mm, your husband’s had the pleasure of fucking you nearly every day of this trip so far,” Stede chuckles. “You were a whole different level of desperate last night.”
Ed can’t hold back the longing little noise that escapes him. He’s panting softly against Stede’s neck now, hips working in steady hitches against Stede’s leg and guided by his teasing touch, well on his way to forgetting what the hell they’re talking about anyway. Stede is quick to remind him, suddenly reaching up to catch Ed’s chin with his free hand, angling his head so he can press his lips right to the shell of Ed’s ear.
“Now, kitten,” he purrs, “whose fault is it really that we were up so late last night, hm?”
Ed’s head spins. He licks his lips, still rutting shallowly into Stede’s hip as heat blooms across his cheeks.
“Mine,” he finally confesses in a rush, then lets a higher sound slip from his throat as Stede shifts his thigh in reward, pressing it more firmly into Ed’s movements and knocking the breath out of Ed’s lungs. “Fuck, fuck, mine, it was mine—”
“Good boy,” Stede soothes, fingers sliding into Ed’s hair. He draws him closer and spares a kiss for the corner of Ed’s mouth before his other hand suddenly catches Ed’s hip, halting his movement abruptly. “Now, get up and get dressed. We’re seeing that sunrise.”
Ed groans, burying his face in Stede’s neck with determination as he pointedly tries to rock his hips against Stede’s tight hold on him, hot indignation flaring in his stomach. “Fuck the hike,” he growls petulantly. “God, c’mon, you can’t fucking tease me like—”
“Oh, I think you’ll find I can,” Stede snorts, smacking his backside lightly and already beginning to push himself up. Ed makes a sound of protest and one last grab for getting properly fucked here, quickly pushing himself up to straddle Stede’s hips before he can get away. He manages to pin him in place and smirks down at him in the dark.
“You could fuck me… so well right now,” he purrs, sliding his hands up Stede’s chest with a slow, sensual roll of his hips. Stede lets it happen, hands settling carefully on Ed’s thighs in the barest whisper of encouragement. Ed takes it eagerly, voice dropping even lower as he arches into Stede’s heat, pointed and shameless.
“God, after last night?” he adds, barely above a whisper. “It’d be fucking easy. Wouldn’t even need your fingers first.”
He can hear Stede’s breaths grow heavier, can feel the way his hips hitch minutely up into Ed’s movement. Ed grins, then bites his lip with a low, encouraging moan, rolling his hips again and letting their cocks drag together between their bodies, shuddering at the contact. Stede’s fingers curl slowly around his hips this time, and a triumphant little thrill runs up Ed’s spine as he dips down close, just short of a kiss.
“Don’t pretend you don’t want it,” he coaxes quietly, fanning the words right across Stede’s lips. “You think I can’t feel how hard you are for me?”
He catches Stede’s slow, deep inhale at that, grip tightening on Ed’s hips. Ed grins, sighing with satisfaction and letting his lips brush Stede’s properly. He’s won now, he knows it; they can see the sunrise tomorrow, but this morning, Stede is all his, and Ed intends to enjoy the hell out of him. Multiple times, preferably—maybe even to the point of exhaustion, until they collapse in a boneless heap here again, fall asleep tangled together and wake up later just to do it all—
Ed’s breath promptly disappears as Stede suddenly halts his motions again, swiftly rolling them over to pin Ed firmly down to the bed beneath him. Ed blinks up at him wildly in the dark, heart racing in his chest as Stede’s fingers circle his wrists tightly to hold him in place.
“You’re being a brat,” Stede observes matter-of-factly. Ed flushes, falling into a heavy pout.
“Damn right I am,” he snips back, letting a hint of pride sneak into the words. “Is it working?”
“Oh, very nearly,” Stede sighs affectionately, leaning down for a chaste kiss at Ed’s cheek. Ed makes a dissatisfied sound, turning and swiftly trying to steal a proper kiss off his lips. Stede is too quick; he draws back just out of Ed’s reach with a fond little tsk, pinning him even more firmly into the sheets and leaving Ed to glare up at him.
“Tell you what, husband,” Stede murmurs, tilting his head and releasing one of Ed’s wrists to draw a fingertip down the line of his jaw. “I’ll make you a little deal.”
Ed’s chest goes instantly warm, followed seconds later by his cheeks. Of all the things Stede calls him, all the pet names and filthy endearments, husband has managed to be the one that makes him blush the most since their wedding a few weeks ago.
“Oh?” he whispers, suddenly feeling significantly more amenable to whatever Stede has in mind.
Stede breathes into a grin at Ed’s softening demeanor. He dips down to grace him with another light kiss—two, three—before whispering to his lips, “You get up to watch the sunrise with me… and I promise I’ll fuck you at the earliest possible opportunity today.”
Ed arches an interested brow, but eyes him guardedly in the dark. “Won’t be back in the van for quite a while,” he points out unhappily. Stede scoffs lightly, drawing the tip of his nose delicately along Ed’s own.
“I don’t recall saying anything about waiting until we’re back in the van.”
Ed’s eyes widen. He’s up and throwing on clothes without another word of argument, and he does an excellent job of ignoring Stede’s snickers the whole time.
***
Fuck. Fine. It’s worth it.
Ed has already lost track of the beautiful sights they’ve seen since embarking on their honeymoon road trip. They’re still early on in the journey, but the national parks they’ve visited so far have all taken his breath away, and this one is no different. Ed’s made a point of capturing both sunrise and sunset in every park they’ve gone to so far, and Stede had been right; he’d have sorely regretted missing this one.
The hike is relatively short and easy, and Ed’s surprised not to find anyone else at the overlook. Another tiny little miracle of this trip, he supposes. Those haven’t been in short supply; they never are with Stede around.
They arrive just as first light is beginning to brighten their surroundings, and Stede doesn’t waste any time spreading out a blanket and tugging Ed down with a grin to pull him close. Once they’ve pulled out the coffee and light breakfast they brought along, Ed feels as if he might have tripped and fallen right into heaven.
“So?” Stede murmurs fondly into his hair, fingers running again and again along the length of Ed’s spine as they watch colors bloom in slow-motion across the sky before them. “Was this worth it?”
Ed lets go of a dreamy little sigh, but puts on a playful, withholding voice. “Suppose so,” he concedes, packing away the last of their trash before sinking into Stede’s side. “S’nice, I guess. Maybe even nicer than my husband taking me apart this morning.”
Stede chuckles against him, kissing his hair lightly. Ed shivers with surprise as Stede’s fingers slip right beneath his shirt on their next pass up his spine, slowly drawing up the clothing as the touch turns lingering.
“I wouldn’t say the ship’s sailed on that altogether,” Stede quips reassuringly. Ed snorts, rolling his eyes but enjoying the light, teasing touch against his skin.
“Sure,” he mutters playfully back, turning to kiss Stede’s shoulder. “I’m sure we can find a cave to duck into on the way back to the van.”
It’s Stede’s turn to give a light scoff. “What on earth would we need a cave for?”
“Mm, privacy?”
“What, you’re afraid of a few squirrels seeing us?”
A surprised laugh tumbles past Ed’s lips as the words are followed up swiftly with a nibble at his ear, then a slow, hot kiss below it. His focus briefly dissipates at the sweep of Stede’s tongue against his neck.
“The—the squirrels aren’t exactly… who I’m worried about,” he manages after a few seconds too long. Stede’s hands are both slipping beneath his shirt now, trailing up his skin with a little more purpose and stealing his breath. “Stede—”
“You look beautiful in this light, you know,” Stede whispers, voice tilting lower as he nuzzles slowly against Ed’s jaw. Ed swallows, eyes slipping shut despite having been glued to the gorgeous sunrise in front of them, mind briefly whiting out with the words. He hardly even notices the press of Stede’s hands urging him closer, much less the way he moves into it without a thought.
“Yeah?” he can’t help but whisper back. Fucking hell, nothing can cast a spell on him as quickly as Stede’s praises and admirations, especially not with warm, hungry fingers creeping up salaciously beneath his clothes. It’s slow and coaxing, the way Stede draws him in until his legs are shifting, until Ed is settling carefully into his lap, lip bitten and cheeks hot.
Stede smirks at him like he’s some adorable toy to be played with at his husband’s leisure. Ed thinks the notion has never sounded better.
“I’ve got an idea,” Stede breathes, circling a teasing fingertip right against the base of Ed’s spine beneath his clothes. The delicate touch alone is almost enough to make Ed’s hips stutter with longing.
“Clearly,” Ed breathes, eyelids fluttering. Stede chuckles.
“You don’t seem terribly opposed,” he observes quietly, amused as he begins slowly drawing Ed’s shirt up his torso.
Ed can say with absolute certainty that he should be opposed to being stripped down and made a mess of in the middle of a national park. At the moment, he can’t say he is.
“You always did like stupid ideas, though, didn’t you?” Stede teases softly, a breath away from a taunt as he urges Ed’s arms up, slipping his shirt right up and off him. Ed flushes even hotter as Stede leans back a little to take in the sight of him, lightly trailing his fingers down Ed’s collarbone to brush a thumb over his nipple.
Ed shudders so hard that a soft moan slips out of him at the touch alone, heat pooling rapidly in his hips. Stede hums, low and satisfied as he leans forward, letting his tongue sweep out against the slim metal bar in Ed’s skin. It pulls a shaking whimper from Ed’s lips.
“No one’s around to see,” Stede assures him quietly, words hot against Ed’s damp skin as his touch trails lower down Ed’s front. Ed only barely catches the whine trying to escape his throat, biting down hard on the sound as Stede’s fingers brush his rapidly-hardening cock through his clothes.
“You’re insane,” is all Ed manages, breathless and hushed. It sounds nowhere close to an objection, even to his own ears. Stede chuckles, already smoothly working open the rest of Ed’s clothes to slip a hand inside them, hot palm gliding right over Ed’s cock now.
“And you’re hard as hell,” Stede whispers over his lips. “Come on, sweet thing. Let me give you what you need.”
Ed groans quietly, hips rocking helplessly into Stede’s touch as he drops his face to the curve of Stede’s neck. “Stede, fuck,” he breathes. “Someone—shit, anyone could—”
“We ought to be quick, then, hm?” Stede interrupts, a hint of a bite behind his words now as he slides a hand up to Ed’s hair. He clutches it tightly enough to make Ed gasp, head tipping right back to let Stede run his tongue up the column of his throat, then nip at his jaw. “I seem to recall you telling me it’d be easy,” he goes on, dark and lilting. “That you wouldn’t even need my fingers first. Just dying to show me what you can take, aren’t you?”
Ed’s heart races. Fuck, he isn’t wrong. And Ed would be a fucking liar to say he doesn’t want it now even more than earlier this morning, that his blood isn’t on fire at the idea of being so reckless, so shameless, so brazen in taking what he wants right out here in the open, too impatient to wait another minute.
Stede’s fingers tighten in his hair to tilt his head again, and Ed goes obediently, lips parted and breathless with desire as Stede brings them level, seeking out his gaze.
“Then show me.”
It’s a fucking blur after that, a haze of sun-soaked desperation in the quiet early morning. Ed hardly remembers yanking at Stede’s clothes or shoving down his own until they’re both bare on the soft blanket beneath them, awash with the golden light spilling over the canyon—but he doesn’t think he’ll ever fucking forget the warmth of the sunrise on his face, the pink splashed across the sky to match the pink in Stede’s cheeks, or the sound of Stede’s breathless praises in his ears as Ed sinks down over him, already drunk on the pleasure running through his veins.
He works himself slowly down onto Stede’s cock with eager, shallow rolls of his hips, bracing himself with a hand pressed to the ground as Stede guides him until their hips are flush. Ed’s breaths are harsh and heavy in the air around them as he settles, head tipping back on his shoulders with a low, shuddering moan of satisfaction at Stede’s cock pressed deep inside him.
“Shit, Stede,” he breathes as Stede’s hands run feverishly over his back, keeping him gathered close as Ed starts slowly rolling his hips, fingers hooked behind Stede’s nape. “God, fuck, that’s it, that’s—oh—”
“Gonna wake up the whole bloody park, moaning like that,” Stede chides teasingly, pulling Ed’s hair to the side to suck a hot kiss to his neck. He groans into Ed’s shoulder seconds later, fingers curling against Ed’s back to rake nails slowly down his skin as Ed settles into a slow, deep rhythm. “Fuck, you feel good—hell, just like that, sweetheart, taking me so well—”
Ed’s mind lights up even brighter than before, warmth running all the way down his spine as he works his hips down again and again. God, there’s no fucking getting enough of this, no such thing as getting enough of Stede; the honeymoon has made that more than clear by now. Every goddamn time together only leaves Ed wanting more, makes him even more eager for it the next time around, and Stede seems all too happy to oblige—
“Slowly, pet,” Stede suddenly whispers against his ear, catching Ed’s hip and slowing his quickening pace.
—except for the moments he decides to drive Ed out of his mind by making him fucking wait.
“What—the fuck happened to—needing to be quick?” Ed pants against his lips, heart racing so fast it might crash straight through his ribs.
Stede has the gall to fucking smirk at him. He slides a hand up into his hair to hold him close, pressing their foreheads together and easing Ed into slower movements without a word. Ed only barely manages to follow, shaking a little with restraint and choking back a cry of pleasure as Stede’s cock presses right into that white-hot spot inside him, stars dancing through his vision with it.
“Changed my mind,” Stede whispers up to him, stealing a kiss off Ed’s parted lips. “Beautiful man, beautiful view… I want to take my time and enjoy you like this.”
“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” Ed chants mindlessly, eyes rolling back with every drag of Stede’s cock inside him, every achingly slow movement setting off fireworks behind his eyelids.
“God, you’re insatiable,” Stede chuckles fondly, tilting his head to kiss the words into Ed’s jaw. “Always so desperate for your husband to make a fucking mess of you, aren’t you?”
Fuck, Ed isn’t sure if it’s the loving degradation or the teasing tone or the word husband that sends fire licking across his skin, but he’s melting even further into Stede’s arms before he knows it, the scalding edge to his movements calming a little beneath the buzz of Stede’s attention. He moans and nods, sliding his fingers up into Stede’s hair to hold on as he keeps his pace slow and steady.
“So greedy for it,” Stede breathes, like he’s awed by it, enamored by Ed’s endless appetite for him. “Poor thing, waiting all morning—god, and now look at you, right out in the open, taking my cock where anyone could stumble across us—”
Ed’s mouth falls open as he goes dizzy and instinctively curls in closer, hiding his face in Stede’s soft waves as his cheeks fucking burn. Shit, fuck, they’ve been risky before, but this—this is another fucking level, and Ed hadn’t known it would turn him this fucking hot all over, that a cascade of words about it would feel like lava running through him. In a heartbeat, his world narrows to every filthy thing falling from Stede’s lips, the searing pleasure of Stede’s cock inside him and the heat-drunk rhythm between them.
Stede must feel the way Ed’s hips stutter eagerly with his words, the way his breath and pulse quicken against him, because suddenly his lips are hot against Ed’s ear, his touch gliding across Ed’s skin like fire. “Is that what you want?” he pants. “You want everyone to see you’re mine, see what a good boy you are for me?”
Ed’s brows draw together as he clutches tighter at Stede’s hair, lips parted with needy little moans now at every press of Stede’s cock inside him. The wildfire in his hips is building rapidly with every word, pleasure fizzing through his veins like liquor, rapidly drowning out everything outside of this, outside of Stede—and then Stede’s fingers are scrabbling across his skin and wrapping around his cock, and Ed’s faculties short-circuit all over again, heat promptly whiting out his thoughts.
“God, if only they could see how fucking pretty you are like this,” Stede moans, and fuck, he must be just as affected as Ed, because now his own hips are snapping up into a faster rhythm again, urging Ed back into an eager, fiery pace as he strokes his cock with smooth, quick pulls. “Gorgeous, so fucking beautiful—”
“Stede,” Ed moans, interrupted by a gasp as the angle between them shifts. Suddenly it’s like fucking lightning crackling through him with every movement, like he can feel the storm stirring up within him, a hurricane of heat knocking loose words from his chest and making his toes curl on every thrust.
“Fuck, right there,” he gasps, words hitching up higher as his head rolls back on his shoulders in pleasure. “Shit, please, right there—”
Stede’s movements only quicken further, a relentless pace between them now as cries of pleasure start leaving Ed’s lungs like they’re nothing, mingling with gasping pleas and praises on his tongue that he couldn’t stem if he tried, fuck and yes and oh god, more, please, more—
“Hell, that’s right, let them all hear you,” Stede moans feverishly, thumb swiping over the leaking head of Ed’s cock to stroke down around him, brilliant and coaxing. “Come on, show them how good you feel, how fucking lovely you sound when you come apart for me—”
Ed’s nails bite into Stede’s shoulders as he arches, tension suddenly riddling his muscles as he barrels towards the end. He hears a gasping cry of Stede’s name leave his own lips, catches another glimpse of a breathtaking fucking sunrise, oranges and pinks and purples and fuck oh god Stede yes yes yes—
“Fuck, go on, that’s it, come for your husband like the perfect thing you are—”
Ed’s shout fucking echoes across the canyon as his climax finally crashes through him, dazzling pleasure flooding his senses and lighting him up from head to toe. He doesn’t even hear anything else that flies off his tongue, probably wouldn’t hear it if the whole fucking canyon came crashing down in front of them; all he can hear is Stede’s dark, sweet voice ringing through his mind, and then Stede’s own echoing cry as his grip on Ed’s hips suddenly turns bruising, a perfect bite of pain slicing through blissful riptides of heat as Stede follows him over the edge.
It’s a searing cacophony of sensation as they shake apart together, unraveled and euphoric, riding out waves of pleasure with sharp, erratic movements. Ed only belatedly feels the ache in his shoulder where Stede must have bitten down, the trails of slight pain on his back where Stede has probably left scratches that will leave marks for fucking days. A dazed smile flickers across Ed’s lips as the pleasure begins fading from his limbs at last, leaving him sated and smoldering, boneless in Stede’s arms as he slumps into his chest.
Stede chuckles breathlessly as he catches him without missing a beat, gathering him close and peppering kisses to every inch of Ed’s skin that he can reach. Ed catches whispers of his name and god, so perfect, so fucking perfect and a half-dozen other sweet nothings, falling from Stede’s lips like soothing, sizzling raindrops.
He takes care of Ed the way he always does in the aftermath—the way Ed has finally learned to expect, rather than being surprised by. He cleans them up gently, chuckling when Ed makes a pointed quip about how thoroughly prepared Stede seems to be, then simply grins when Ed wonders aloud how long they can risk lounging naked on a blanket before someone really does stumble across them.
What Ed really doesn’t expect is the second blanket Stede produces from his pack. “Are you serious?” he mutters, half-laughing. “You brought two blankets on this hike just so we could—”
“I brought two blankets,” Stede interrupts pleasantly, tossing the second blanket over their bodies and shifting closer, “so I could cuddle my husband in front of the sunrise if it got cold. Or if we were naked. I was prepared, not plotting.”
Ed eyes him with a small, knowing smirk. “You were plotting.”
“A bit.”
Ed giggles, letting Stede draw him close beneath the second blanket. Not exactly subtle, if anyone else were to show up, but at least they won’t be giving anyone an eyeful.
And anyway, the park is astoundingly quiet. They’ve hardly seen other campers since arriving, much less run into other hikers on the trails. Ed is plenty happy to enjoy the time to themselves, and happier yet now that he’s properly snuggling into Stede’s warmth, gazing contentedly at the brightening sky before them. Stede’s phone softly plays the Beatles into the space around them as his fingers run in familiar patterns over Ed’s skin, following his tattoos without even having to look at them.
Ed tries to recall a time when he could have sworn he hated the Beatles, a time before Stede. It feels as hazy as trying to recall some dream of another life. He lets it go swiftly in favor of focusing on the present, on Stede’s heartbeat beneath his skin and the brightening world around them.
“This is one of the best we’ve seen, I think,” Ed remarks quietly after a few minutes, fingers tracing absently over Stede’s heart as he gazes at the sunrise. Stede hums in agreement, turning to drink in the sight with a dreamy little sigh.
“On the trip so far? Definitely.”
Ed smiles a little wider, shifting closer yet and nuzzling a kiss into Stede’s neck. “Ever,” he clarifies in a whisper.
Stede turns back to him with a wide, impressed smile. “Ever?” he huffs gently. “We’ve seen a lot of sunrises, beautiful man.”
“Yeah, and this is one of the best,” Ed insists, nodding towards the horizon. “The autumn colors, the cloud patterns… god, the canyon.” He gives his own sigh, even dreamier than he means to. “It’s incredible.”
Stede pushes a kiss to his hair, then another—then follows it with a slow line of kisses down the side of Ed’s face, and then Ed can’t help but laugh gently, turning to catch Stede’s lips properly in his own. Stede sighs into it, fingers slipping into Ed’s hair to stroke through it as they kiss, and finally parts from him with an adoring smile.
Little darling
It’s been a long, cold, lonely winter
Little darling
It feels like years since it’s been here
“Incredible,” Stede breathes in agreement. Ed’s smile grows to match Stede’s expression.
“Glad you agree,” he whispers, though he can’t help but blush beneath Stede’s gaze, suddenly even warmer than the sky above them.
“The sunrise is beautiful,” Stede clarifies quietly, dipping in for another kiss at Ed’s cheek—his nose, his forehead, his temple, the corner of his mouth—before continuing. “What’s incredible… is realizing I’m still not finished falling in love with you, even weeks after our wedding.”
Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s alright
Ed melts, wondering if his smile will crack his face in two altogether. He briefly turns his face, hiding it in the warm curve of Stede’s neck so his heart doesn’t burst outright with affection.
Weeks hardly feels real. It feels like it’s been years already since they exchanged rings at the aquarium, like every minute of marriage to Stede has already felt joyful enough for a lifetime—and yet, it could have been mere days ago that they first danced beneath those same aquarium lights, caught in a whirlwind of racing heartbeats and unspoken fears and sweet John Denver vocals.
“We listened to this on that first road trip,” he recalls softly as he notices the song playing around them. He gives a soft huff of laughter into Stede’s skin. “I hated it.”
Stede hums in amusement before kissing his hair. “God, I loved you,” he whispers.
Ed pulls in a slow breath, turning at last to meet Stede’s gaze again. Slowly, he pushes himself up until he can look down properly into his eyes, fingers settling at Stede’s cheek.
“Listened to it a lot of times since then,” he muses. Stede smiles, nodding in agreement. Ed leans down for another kiss, soft and slow this time, letting his fingers trail down Stede’s jaw. When they part, he stays close, a gentle smile curving up his lips as their noses brush.
“Sort of incredible, realizing I’m still not finished falling in love with it.”
Sun, sun, sun
Here it comes
