It was difficult to sleep in her own bed without getting herself off first, let alone a strange bed in a home that wasn’t hers. Okay, maybe strange was excessive, Uncle Ben’s guest room was rather nice. It was infinitely preferable to staying in her mom’s dated, pink and frilly bedroom whenever she stayed with Nanna Leia.
She hadn’t slept a wink last night though, too nervous to be overheard. As lovely as the room was, it also shared a wall with Uncle Ben’s room which was nothing short of mortifying. It became very clear that her usual routine couldn’t be disrupted without dire consequences. All she could hope was that Uncle Ben was a heavy sleeper. Rey really couldn’t consider the alternative.
