beautifully constructed and highkey terrifying, i can't believe it has so few kudos. somewhere between metamorphosis body horror and a liminal space like imadeamistake writes (tomorrow never comes, winning osaka, etc.)
if you spent much time on the internet as a child in the early 2000s, this fic will feel very familiar. it captures the bubbly artificiality of girls games popular then, and of course kim kardashian: hollywood, in the little details constraining the protagonist in the first two-thirds of the fic.
