Dark One's Lament (Daggersoul)

Summary:

A poem about Rumplestiltskin, Mr Gold, The Dark One

Notes:

I like to pretend that Neal survived, so the poem isn't referencing a death. It's referencing a separation or injury or something like that.

Work Text:

Daggersoul, I feel its pull

Captured, bound to witch's rule

Weave, she commands, I obey

In the dark of my cell, night to day

Bae, I think, his voice I hear

Just as quickly it disappears

Feed the madness, I've no choice

Daggersoul, I hear your voice.

Cage left open, he takes control

Bae is free, no witches rule

No hope, no luck, no chance I fear

Just as quickly he disappears

Mind is back, madness gone

I howl my pitiful, lonely song

Feed the madness, I've no choice

How I wish to hear your voice

All magic comes with darkest price

With wickedness I must play nice

Weaver, spinner, he's no more

I'm not the man I was before

Trust me dearie, deals no more

I'm not the beast I was before

My lovely Beauty, I promise you

My song still rings, my heart is true

Daggersoul, I feel your pull

Captured, bound by witch's rule

Daggersoul, please hear my voice

This isn't me, I have no choice
