Shiho hummed a tune as they jotted down some lyrics in a beat up notebook decorated with stickers and doodles. Shihos big sister, Shizuku, had told him that her friend was visiting a few hours ago- but shiho didn't care. His parents told them to get ready and wear something nice, and of course- shizuku did as told.
'What a waste of time, looking good for guests...'
Shiho thought to themself, tossing their pen into a pen holder on their desk when it started running dry of ink. They quickly read over their lyrics, his eyes darting across the pages of words and words. It wasn't good enough! Something was missing, but he couldn't figure out what.
Shiho yanked the page out of the notebook and crushed the paper in a ball before tossing it in the already overflowing trash can next to their desk.
"Shii-chan~!" *a cheerful voice called out from outside shihos room. Shihos head jerked towards the door just in time before a bubbly light blue haired girl swung open the door. Shizuku...
"Airi-Chan is here, would you like to meet her?"
Shizuku said, a bright smile on her face.
Shiho sighed and walked passed shizuku and out the door.
Shizuku followed quickly behind him, her feet could be heard tapping on the floorboards just a foot behind him, making him slightly nervous.
"Please shii-chan! I'm sure she'd love to say h—"
"Fine! Fine..but only if you'll leave me alone the rest of the night. Please?"
shiho interrupted, stopping in his tracks and turning around. Shizuku stepped back in suprise, but she quickly nodded.
"That's fine.." shizuku mumbled, a small frown on her face. She quickly made her way back down the hall and disappeared around the corner. Shiho looked down, he felt guilty for being rude to shizuku and regretted his words.
"I'll just apologize later..." they said under their breath as they went back to walking down the hall.
As they made their way to the living room, they noticed the familiar heads of his parents just ahead..and the unfamiliar one with bright pink hair.
Shiho saw his parents happily greeting a short girl just around his height and drowning her in questions and compliments. Shiho instinctively rushed towards them and pushed them out of the way, feeling embarrassed by their parents nosy behavior.
Then he met eye contact with the pink haired girl..
'Her eyes match her hair..' shiho thought.
Shiho felt his cheeks start to burn up and quickly covered them and moved out of the way.
"I uhm- sorry for my parents...uh..miss..?"
Shiho managed to stutter out. He bowed quickly to seem more polite.
Shihos parents seemed a bit suprised by shihos suddenly formality and grinned ear to ear as they began to sob from pride and happiness....awkward...
"Oh-! No need to be so polite! Call me Airi."
Airi said happily and gestured shiho to raise his head.
The moment shiho raised his head, airi took his hands and held them in a friendly manner. Shihos cheeks grew redder and his jaw almost hit the floor. He's never been this flustered before!!
"Rifht huhu sorrqy miss- i meuhan uh Airi—"
Shihos words sounded like absolute gibberish because of his nervousness. Airi tilted her head in confusion.
'SHE TILTED HER HEAD LIKE A CAT??!!?!?! HHHH'
shiho screamed inside their head. He panicked and backed away; almost tripping on his own feet. He then bolted back to his room...almost running head-on into shizuku on the way. He burst into his room and slammed the door shut and fell onto the floor.

"Airi-Chan! Hello hello~ I'm so glad you could make it!"
Shizuku said as she entered the living room.
"Oh hey-" airi greeted but was soon shut up with a suffocating hug from shizuku.
"Ack- you're gonna kill me!" Airi grumbled and pulled away from shizuku, who giggled in response.
"Is shiho okay? Did something startle them?" Shizuku questioned.
"Ah...I don't know- but your little sister is adorable."
