Chapter Text

“They have been caught?” Magne asked in shock. She and the others just went grocery shopping, and now everyone else was gone? Kurogiri wished he could sigh.

“Yes.”

“What now?” Spinner asked, defeat lacing his voice.

“We’ll split the money as planned, and I’m turning myself in.” Kurogiri admitted. He didn’t need the money, but they made a deal. The remaining three members of the league looked at him in disbelief.

“Are you out of your mind?” The lizard man asked again.

“I do not believe I am, however, my only life purpose was to serve master. Since now both young master and master are gone I cease to have a goal. I am not quite sure if I can do anything but that.” Magne gave him an understanding look while mister Compress remained quiet.

“You can’t just leave like that! What about our cause??” Spinner clearly didn’t know what he’d do after this either.

“Do we have one anymore?” The masked man spoke for the first time since they got the news.

“What do you mean? Bring down hero society?? Just like how Stain wanted??” The other three remained silent.

“Screw you too.” With that he left to gather his things.

“Magne, may I propose to stay in touch?” The man revealed his face.

“Of course. If you ever need a drinking buddy, call me.” She and the fairly attractive young man exchanged a smile.

“It was an honor to serve with you.” Compress offered him a handshake. He took it.

“I can say the same to you both.” Kurogiri took one last look around their base. “We should leave before the police find this place.”

The three shared a nod.

“Goodbye Kurogiri.” The woman gave him a wave.

“Goodbye, and may we meet again.”

The rat bear and Eraserhead stood before them together with some detective with a lie detector quirk. Tomura was just glad his friends looked better than yesterday.

“We have a deal you can’t refuse.” The rat said with that little smile of his. The four villains exchanged glances.

“Don’t worry, I believe this deal could be beneficial for all of us. Your sentence would have been reduced quite a lot already thanks to your kind cooperation while being arrested. In addition that you four have helped subdue the villain that even Allmight had trouble defeating.” So now instead of 3 live sentences they had one? What a deal.

“Aizawa and his two students have put in a good word for you in court. While you haven’t been cleared from your crimes completely I am proud to announce you will join the UA rehabilitation program!”

Rehab? What were they? Drug addicts?

Dabi technically was.

“Rehab? Really?” The emo fucker scoffed. “What makes you think we want to do that?”

“If you do not agree, your original charges will determine your sentence.”

“Whatever.” The black haired guy turned away from the mouse man.

They didn’t really have a reason to lie. Rehab could mean that his childhood dream would come true. He could become a hero, still hang out with Izuku or maybe even start that gaming channel. This could be a fresh start.

“So we don’t have to go to jail? Yay! Can I still drink blood though?”

Eraserhead nodded. “We have determined that your quirk requires it, so yes you will be provided with blood ethically.”

“I’m down! Twice? What about you?” The psycho turned to her friend.

“Sure, I guess why not? I’d rather go to jail than be some hero wannabe!” The pro hero and detective looked at each other. Aizawa shrugged and the plain looking guy shrugged back as if they had no idea which answer was the true one.

“I take the deal as well.” With sensei gone he didn’t really have anything better to do anyway.

“Splendid! Until further notice you’ll keep the quirk canceling bracelets on, other than that you’re good to go along with us!” The rat clasped his hands together. “I hope you understand not to harm the students as well?” With some more and less enthusiastic nods they got the permission to move along.

This worked out better than expected.

Inko rushed into his hospital room the moment he was done with the surgeries. She looked worried, understandably so since he was pretty burnt and beat up. The healing quirks did help an awful lot, it didn’t hurt anymore.

“Are you okay??” The woman that gave birth to him ran to the side of his bed faster than he’d ever seen her move.

“I guess. I’m almost healed up now.” He shrugged, just to wince when the bandages on his back moved. Dabi burned him real bad a few hours ago.

The woman had tears in her eyes. “What happened?”

“Remember dad? Turns out you married a super villain.” He said nonchalantly.

“What?” She had to take a second to process that and stopped crying.

“Yeah. And remember my gamer friends? Well they were secretly just villains and the villain that you married once was like their shadow leader. Hisashi didn’t like that I was turning his protégé into a good guy so he wanted to kill me. I pulled an uno reverse on him though. Don’t worry I’m not getting first degree murder charges.” Now that it was all over he really didn’t have a reason to continue lying to her. Besides, he killed the guy that she used to love once so he guessed she deserved to know.

She just looked at him with wide eyes. “Izuku, honey. What?”

“Hisashi is dead. For sure this time and I’m not in any trouble. I’m a bit worried about the league though, they actually have criminal records… I’ll try to talk to principal Nedzu about it.” Maybe they could reduce the sentences? They did help kill the most infamous villain of all time.

His mother looked unsure of how to respond, so he just decided to check up on Kacchan. The blond apparently had the same idea, because the moment he touched the door it opened and low and behold there he was. With bandaged hands and a concerned look in those beautiful crimson eyes his boyfriend stood before him.

“You fucking idiot.” Arms wrapped around him and he hugged back.

“Almost getting yourself killed, bitch.” Izuku laughed at that.

“I love you too.” The blond’s arms hurt his still largely unhealed back. It was fine though, it was Kacchan. When Kacchan did it I he didn’t mind.

Izuku inspected his hero license with awe. The plastic card might have been just that, plastic, but it felt like gold in his hands.

“Next!”

He ran back to Kacchan, who was holding his license next to his head for show. Uraraka was beaming with joy with hers too. All of them passed, even Todoroki did after his fight with that Shiketsu student. Dabi’s advice paid off pretty well in the end.

“We did it!” The greenette himself had a hard time not jumping up and down like Himiko often did.

“Of course we did.” His boyfriend swung one arm around his shoulders. “I’d break up with you if we didn’t.” He said teasingly.

“You wouldn’t.”

“I wouldn’t.” He chuckled before kissing the blond’s cheek.

“What would you do without me?” Izuku joked.

Uraraka looked on with a blank expression. “Gay.”

The night her son brought home his hero license they threw a party, with most of Izuku’s close friends invited. They all got those together after all, they deserved a party. Even those weird villain friends of his got permission to come as long as they were supervised by Aizawa.

It was a pretty wild night, considering the kids were a loud bunch. Most of them still felt uneasy with the villains in rehab, that was until Shigaraki wiped out a wii and an hour was spent on Mario kart alone. She even gave it a go, not that she was very good at it. Halfway she gave her remote to her son so she didn’t finish last. Her character didn’t.

Inko was glad she locked all the alcohol cabinets or the clean up would’ve been much worse after tonight. Rowdy teenagers and ex-criminals would not hesitate to get drunk, she wouldn’t have back in the day either.

After 11 the kids and rehab people had to go home, or in the villain’s case a small dorm on UA grounds, Izuku approached her with an envelope.

“What is this?” The envelope was blank.

“I got it from Hisashi before he died, I think you should read it.” Her heart almost stopped in her chest.

The top read ‘for her’ in the neat handwriting she recognized from letters she got while Hisashi was away for work. Well he said it was work, but looking back at it now made her realize it was probably much more sinister.

For her,

I would like to apologize to you in person, but I doubt that’d be possible.

Coward. Her heart still swayed for the man, even after all this time and all these secrets.

I am sorry for leaving without a word, you were a wonderful, even if short lived, experience. My dear, I do not wish for your death. Therefore leave our son to his fate. I should have killed him the moment he turned out to be a disappointment to ease your suffering.

Even if the handwriting was the same, the kindness had disappeared, replaced with cold but passionate writing. For a threat it was a very well worded message. The quirkism was a way bigger red flag than she’d anticipated after all. For the first time since the news he died she actually felt raw resentment towards her ex.

I wish you a long and happy life from this point on. Our son has probably told you about me now, if he was smart enough to figure me out. In case he did, I did it all for the greater good. You are allowed to hate me for it, just know that my feelings were genuine.

This letter made her both angry and sad at the same time. It made her want to strangle Hisashi, kiss Hisashi and never see him again at the same time. A hand patted her shoulder. Warm tears streamed down her face. Oh. She hadn't realized she started crying.

Love,

Hisashi Midoriya

Her hands were gripping the paper so hard it was bound to rip. The angel of a boy that her son was hugged her. Inko took the embrace with gratitude, knowing that he had no obligation to help her. He was so attentive, the boy she didn't even raise.

"Thank you." Her voice cracked in such an ugly way.

"You're welcome."

Hand in hand he took Deku into the forest. They used to play there as brats all the time. His nerd looked around with a nostalgic smile. They got to a small creek with a half rotten log blocking the flow of the water, creating a small pond on one side of it. Katsuki remembered the log, he and his ‘friends’ used to walk over it all the time. He even slipped and fell once or twice.

“I remember this!” Izuku jumped down to the stream, landing in the dried smaller stones the water once took from mountain tops.

“It was a pretty nice bridge.” He agreed, jumping down as well, the gravel shifting beneath his hiking boots.

“Too bad it broke down. Would we be too heavy for it now?” The greenette walked over to what was left of the wood, cracks filled in with larger stones, probably left there by some kids. The small pool of water behind it was crystal clear, some smaller fish swimming at the bottom. He could see a crayfish behind some larger rocks too. Nature sure is fast as fuck.

“No shit we’re too heavy, that thing broke when some dumbass took their old man over it.” He wasn’t there to witness it himself, he heard it from a random kid a few years back.

“That’s kinda sad… wanna add a rock to it? There’s still holes left.” Most of the stones that created the barrier were old, green with slime and moss. Nobody added anything recently.

“Sure, wanna bet I’ll find a bigger one?” He gave the nerd a smirk.

“That’s too easy, who gets the biggest rock and can carry it to the blockade wins.” Of course his boyfriend was just as competitive as him. Fuck he loved this guy so much.

“I’m gonna win! You’ll see!” A bird fluttered the trees as he yelled. Of course he wasn’t going to win, Deku is much stronger than him.

After a good few minutes both of them gathered a few larger rocks to patch up any holes in the barrier. It didn’t really stop the water all that much, it was made out of rocks and a rotten log, of course it wasn’t watertight. At some point he had to give up because his boyfriend got such an enormous rock from further down the creek that he couldn’t beat him if he tried. When he tried to pick it up after Izuku placed it, the thing barely budged.

“Never mind, you win. Happy?” Katsuki wanted to feel bitter about the loss, but he couldn’t when his nerd smiled like that.

“I am! Now let’s think what I should make you do…” The mumbles quickly died down as his face flushed. The blond smiled, knowing it was something risqué and wanting whatever the nerd would choose. It didn’t matter, he would do anything for this dumb fucker.

“I-I’ll tell you later.” Katsuki laughed.

“Whatever your perverted brain wants.” He kneeled down at the pond and cupped his hands. With one quick movement he threw a handful of water at his boyfriend.

“Kacchan!”

“What? I needed to cool you down from all of the hot steamy shit you thought of.” Before he had the chance to laugh again he got a handful of water thrown on him as well.

They both erupted in laughter.

Katsuki threw another handful of water on his boyfriend and sped off further into the forest. He heard Izuku chasing him. “Come back!”

“Fuck you!” He stopped running when they got to a clearing in the woods, one where they used to hide as kids. There was a nice large stone to sit on and the surrounding trees were filled with the names of young couples in hearts. Tall grass and flowers grew wherever the sunlight touched the ground.

He turned around at exactly the right moment to see his boyfriend jump down from a tree towards him. With a quick step aside the greenette landed face first in the long grass.

“Ow.” The blond snorted.

“That’s what happens when you try to win with the great pro hero Dynamight!” He joked, jumping on top of the stone.

The nerd stood off, dusting dirt off his shirt and shorts. “I won with the stones tho.”

“That doesn’t count.” He continued grinning.

“Yeah yeah sure it doesn’t.” Izuku replied with a sarcastic undertone. With a ruffle of his hair to get the dust out he joined him on the rock, just instead of standing he laid down. The nerd's hair had gotten pretty long over the last few months. He looked really fucking handsome with it.

The blond stood towering over his lover, looking at the most fucking precious emerald greens.

“Did I ever tell you the reason red is my favorite color?” The greenette suddenly asked.

“Not really.” It's probably some dumb shit like, ‘I really liked Spider-Man as a kid’ or whatever.

“Your eyes. I really like your eyes.” Really? That’s the reason?

“Hasn’t red been your favorite color since we were four?” There is no way that was true. Although, the nerd’s password was his birthday…

“Yep. I thought your eyes were the prettiest since I was a little kid.” Those words in combination with that warm smile made him want to do things. Self control Katsuki.

“You’re so fucking stupid.”

“I guess I am.”

He crouched down to kiss Izuku.

“You fucking Deku.” He mumbled before closing his eyes.

They locked lips.

“Love you.” The nerd said between kisses.

“Love ya too.”
